Eh, the question was 'what makes you different'? Okay,.... well, everyone's different, but I guess that's not the purpose of this thread. ^_^ Alright then,... let's see, well, I'm a girl, and I'm a drummer. Though imo this shouldn't really be a novelty, some people think it to be. I've been on the snare drum in marching band (the drum that requires the most complicated techniques..... an no it's not "the big one" [bass drum] or "the one that has a lot of 'em" [quints/quads], but the .... snare... drum, agh go look it up if you don't know what I'm talking about) since my freshmen year. I can also play the set (drumset), but I'm not very advanced in skill on that (yet ;)). I'm also as straight-edge as you can get, just about. That sets me apart in some ways I suppose...... hmm, that's about all I guess.

I'd say flowers and a night on the town. Jewelry would be too major too soon for only six months. And as for the color of the flowers.......... this is just me, but go for something besides the run-of-the-mill red roses........ try some lillies, or roses, but pink or white roses..... originality is good. ^_^

I like talking w/ the people here, and I'm quite opinionated, so any chance to put in my two-cents' worth on anything is good for me. ^_^; And yeah, I don't really have that much of a life myself......... although that will change when I can master manual driving (darn stick-shift! stupid clutch....) then I can actually drive the pretty red truck we got almost a month ago.:naughty: heheh....... *stay off the roads!! :D*

Yeah, if you look in the right places you can find DCI stuff. [url]http://www.dci.org[/url] has some samples, but of the whole show, not just isolated drums. But let me tell you, it still sounds incredible. You can also look up the Blue Devils, Cadets, Cavaliers, etc. They're all different Corps.

Um, I dun really know. I guess b/w the two I'm an optimist, but also a realist; sometimes reality bites. So yeah, I usually try to just keep the appropriate perspective for whatever situation I end up in. They're all different.

Depends on what I'm down about, and what I need. Like, if I'm just pissed off 'cause my day really sucked and I need to feel better, than I'd listen to The Aquabats, 'cause they're so out-there, I'd feel better in no time. If I'm pissed off 'cause my day really sucked and I don't want to feel better, then I'd listen to Tool. If I'm down because of a guy-problem then I'd listen to something either really angry or really sad. I can't think of specifics right now 'cause I'd have to be in the situation to feel inspired. And if I'm just down overrall, I play some bagpipe or celtic music, sometimes classical.

Anyway, I dunno how many of y'all have heard of Drum Corps International, but it is the epitamy of all drumming imo. Yeah sure, there are amazing drumset players out there (Chad Sexton from 311.... all bow down) but this is drumming on a COMPLETELY different level. This DCI group is the Blue Devils-my personal favorite- it's only 55 seconds long, just a warm-up they did back in '96. I just couldn't keep this stuff to myself any longer, I had to share it, 'cause I know that not a lot of people who aren't in marching band know about it. From a logical standpoint, about the absolute epitamy of loving someone would be to want to spend the rest of your life with them. That is, imo, about the highest degree of love (of that sort). Now, that ought to be the goal when it comes to love-stuff, and no, not all relations that you feel strongly for are going to result like that. I have 'loved' before, and it was a real love. I cared for him beyond any worldy distractions. That was...... I think about, a year or two ago. Amazingly enough we still write, but my point is, yeah I loved him. Time took it as far as it was supposed to go. It's good that we aren't together right now, it's the way things should be. I would probably be unhappy right now if things were otherwise. These types of 'loves' aren't meant to last, instead we experience them to grow by them. This growth is necessary so we can later tell the difference b/w the real thing and just another temporary fix. And about eternity-yes, things do last for eternity. There's scientific proof of that. Think of a pile of wood on the ground. You set it on fire. As the wood burns, chemical reactions take place, and the elements seperate. The smoke particles rise into the air, heat is given off, the ashes go back into the ground or are blown away.The form of the wood is altered, yet it still remains on the earth. The same holds true for the universe, and anything within and beyond it.

That's why it's not a good idea to go and get married to someone after dating them for only 6 weeks (*cough mom dad cough v_v*). Sure people can [i]think[/i] they're in love when everything is happening so fast and you've never felt like that before blah blah blah, and yeah [i]that[/i] will probably fade. However, if time stretches out the relationship beyond the 'sparks', and real love develops, then that won't go away as long as the two people keep working at it. The joy that they feel in the love they share will keep them going.

Hey, how about y'all post what you would want for V-day.... doesn't matter if you get it or not..... heck, if it's something you can buy, go get it for yourself! ^_^ Anyway, I've kinda been thinking about it, and I realized something: If my kinda/sorta bf gets me red roses, I'm going to feel disappointed. I don't know why! Wait, let me analyze this.... I think it's because it's so common, like it wouldn't be a big deal. Red roses are like, the stereotype of V-day. And now, to all of you guys who are thinking 'that picky witch!', let me defend myself by saying yes, I am picky, but not unreasonably. Okay, me and my b/f have been dating for over 4 months (by V-day it'll be close to five), and hopefully he would know me a little better than most other guys. I'll even come out and say it if he doesn't ask, to save trouble. But I want white or pink roses. They're still roses, but they're less common, and prettier to me, and it's not like it'd be painstaking to get a different color, would it? I'm undecided about prom. I have someone I could take as a date, but that's not my problem....................... in all honesty I don't really know what my problem is. Maybe the absurdity in throwing $160 on a dress I'll only wear once. It's just one night............ and I've been to plenty of dances already, it's not like I'd never be able to go to another one again, or that I've never been to one. I'm just leaving my options open......... I'll decide what I want to do around April (our prom is in May). I've got plenty of time.............

I love dancing, I've recently taken up kickboxing (just got back from class) :blackeye:, drawing every now and then, ermmm, I like anime/mangas, I like participating as a spectator (gawl that sounds so stupid! ^_^) in extreme sports (I'dgive everything I own to turn back time and learn to skateboard.... *sigh*), umm........ doing stuff w/ friends & my bf *giggles obnoxiously................................ j/k ;)* um, I guess that's about it.
