1. You should know........Jacob. Back on topic, I'll get the second episode posted soon. At least before Friday.
2. Oooooo, fun. Okay: Izzy(Digimon)
3. I love FF and hope it never ends, but I know it has to sooner or later. For all we know the final one can be an odd number like 21 or 23.
4. Here's something a friend of mine e-mailed me:
Video games dulling the brain? A recent study in Japan suggests that prolonged video game playing can cause people to lose concentration and social skills. A recent study in Japan has suggested that extensive amounts of time spent playing video games can cause players to lose concentration, get angry easily, and have trouble interacting with others, according to a report in the Mainichi Daily News . The study was conducted by Akio Mori, a professor at Nihon University, and it included 240 people between the ages of 6 and 29. Mori analyzed the subjects' brain waves and separated them into beta waves, which indicate activity in the prefrontal region of the brain, and alpha waves, which appear when the brain is resting. The study found that those who rarely played video games had stronger beta waves, while those who spent between two and seven hours each day playing games had extremely weak beta waves, even while not playing games. Many of the participants in the group who played the most video games told researchers that they had trouble associating with friends, were easily angered, and couldn't concentrate. No specific games, types of games, or game systems were mentioned in the report. The results of the research will be formally announced in the US this fall at a meeting of the Society for Neuroscience. Another study was conducted last year at Tohoku University in Japan that suggested that video games can harm brain development in children. That study was later criticized for its limited focus by the European Leisure Software Publishers Association.
So do you guys think it's true? My friend thinks so. And I, as a video game freak, think it might be true too.
5. Wow, very beautiful. Very good! And you're asking for corrections? It doesn't need any, in my opiion.
6. Okay I saw this on Comedy Central at a friend's house. Apparently it's about actual crank calls forming the basis for a storyline about a twisted town inhabited by puppets. I thought it was okay. There really wasn't anything funny, but my friend assured me that the episode I saw wasn't one of the funniest. I'd watch it again if I had Comedy Central. Anyway, what does everyone else think about the show?
7. Whoa, very mesmerizing. Now my eyes feel wierd, but I can't get my eyes off of it. :worried: My eyes! They don't wanna stop!
8.
Originally posted by Queen Asuka And you probably say that because what you've seen dubbed you haven't seen subbed.
Actually I have seen subs. I don't have anything wrong with them, though. Just the people who hate dubbing.
9. I agree with you all the way, shadowdramon. I never found anything wrong with dubbing. I'm happy with what I can see.
10. FINALLY! I finished the first episode/chapter. Okay this American Tamers. For those who watch Digimon, this story takes place the same time as Season 3, so you'll see some familiar things. Now that cleared some things up, let's get on with the show.... ------------------- Episode 1: Wish Upon a Card Every man, woman, child, and animal has a dream. To be rich, to have no worries, to get all the newest toys, or to conquer a domain. Dreams have the biggest pleasures, but yet life has the simplest pleasures. This is why some people forget their dreams. It is reality that stops a person's dream. It is not impossible to conquer this. But it is quite a big task. Somewhere on the net, small pieces of data are coming together and are forming new data. The new data then becomes a life form and journeys across the digital world. This creation was a group of people's dreams. This dream became real and peaceful. But reality never stays peaceful for long. Across the net there are two figures of data fighting. The reason is unknown. One was an orange dinosaur, the other was blue, winged dinosaur. Suddenly, the orange dinosaur threw a fireball from its mouth. "Nova Blast!" it yelled. The winged dinosaur flew over the fireball and countered by a laser coming from its chest. "XV Laser!" it yelled. The orange dinosaur took the hit, for it was slow to avoid the attack. The dinosaur fell to its knees. The winged dinosaur threw a kick to the other's face. The orange dinosaur then fell on its back. Its data started to break apart. But not before it could unleash another attack. "Nova Blast!" the dinosaur yelled again. The winged dino was blown away by the fiery counter. The winged dinosaur fell to the ground and its data broke apart and scattered. The orange dinosaur got up and walked to the floating data. It took a deep breath and absorbed the data. "Yeah! I whooped your sorry butt! I told you! Greymon is better than ExVeemon!" A young boy was savoring his victory over a match with his friend on a video game. Everyone in the store could hear the taunting boy and were very quite annoyed, especially the losing friend. "Okay," began the friend, "you won. Can ya drop it now?" "No way!" replied the bragging boy. "I won and I need to savor the victory." One of the clerks came up to the two boys. "Can I please ask you to be quiet" You are disturbing the customers." commanded the stern clerk. "Sorry, sir." they both replied. A teenager was looking at the newest video games when the boys started arguing. He knew what the game was. Apparently, it was the newest Digimon game. Digimon was short for digital monster. They are monsters based on animals, mythical creatures, and many other things in real life. He knew this because he was a fan of the craze. He watched the TV show and had some of the toys and cards. Though he would never admit it at his school, he loved digimon. The teen was about fourteen and had just started high school. He had short black hair and wasn't very tall. In fact he was about 5''2 tall. He wore a dark blue vest with a hood in the back, a white shirt underneath, and khaki pants. He just happened to be in a video game store on a school night. Not only was he a big fan of digimon, but a very huge fan of video games. The teen looked at his watch and headed out of the store and entered back into the mall. It was time to look and wait for his dad at the entrance. His father had to go pay for something and invited his son to get out of the house. He, of course, agreed. He waited by the entrance and didn?t have to wait very long. His father came soon after he came to the entrance. "Find anything, Rob?" the dad asked. "Nope. Nothing new at least."answered Rob. "Okay, well that's fine with me. Let's get going. It's getting late. And don't you have a test tomorrow?" "Yeah, don't remind me. I should take another look at that book." "Well, you better take a good look tonight. If not today, then early tomorrow, okay?" "I know, I know." It was a long ride to Rob's house. Mainly because of the fact that the mall was near the highway and his house was at the neighborhood. By the time Rob got to his room it was almost nine o' clock. He took his dad's advice and took the book and started to go over it. "Of Mice and Men." Rob muttered. "Could it be any more boring?" Rob's mind started to wander off, but he tried to keep on track. It was hard when you got a game on your Playstation that's unfinished. He slapped the back of his head to keep himself in focus. Thirty minutes passed when he decided to take a break. He had that digimon game the two boys were playing back into his head. It seemed quite interesting, but would he buy it? "I'd have to rent it first." he said to himself. He got up from his bed where he reading and picked up his digimon cards from his desk near the window. He flipped through them. He got an idea. He took out a piece of paper and pencil. He had his mind go to work. Rob had a great imaginative mind. He drew on many pieces of paper and had many notebooks that contained his works. Every year he noticed an improvement. Everything he drew was either an idea for a video game or for a story. When Rob finished he looked at his work. He had another idea for a video game. On his piece of paper were three kids and three monsters below them. The monsters were digimon he knew of. He didn't have a story yet. Just the main characters done. Rob looked around his room and saw the book he was reading. "Oh man!" he said to himself. "Got to study!" Morning came. Rob's dad woke him up. Rob arose from his bed and got dressed. When he returned to his room, he cleaned his desk a little. He saw the picture he made the previous night and placed it in his book bag to finish if he had time after the test. When he came to his cards, he accidentally knocked them off the desk. They all fell to the floor. "Aw nuts," he moaned. Suddenly, something caught his eye. One of the cards turned blue. He picked it up. "What, may I ask, is this?" he whispered. 'Rob! Let's go!" His dad was calling for him, he had to go to the school. But the blue card was too mysterious let go of. He placed the blue card in an empty box along with other cards. He placed the box on the edge of his bed and left the room for the car. When he left, the box fell off the edge and all the cards fell out, except the blue card was still in the box. Rob finished the test. He had no idea on how he did and didn't want to feel the pressure. He took out the paper he drew on the night before. He started to finish it. He then looked at the digimon. He paused and thought of what digimon he would have. Nothing big and huge to hide from public. Maybe something like Veemon that digivolves to dragon then a warrior. He liked those type of things. He noticed someone looking over his shoulder. It was a guy that sat behind him. "What's that? Pokemon?" he asked in a whisper. "None of your business." Rob answered. "No talking." said the teacher. That was Rob. Quiet and didn't have very many friends. The people he was actually friends with were the people he went to school with at his junior high. All but three of his old class came to the same high school along with him. But he didn't have many classes with him. For some reason, he couldn't make many friends in high school. He wasn't ready for a big change, as he had left his old class with many things unsaid. He had quite a history with that class. Bad and good. The day had passed and it was time for the students to return home for the weekend. Rob was looking forward to getting home. To check out the blue card he found. He had no clue where it came from. Rob then saw his dad's car and headed for it to go home. When he arrived home he said his hello to his mom. He headed down the hall to get to his room. He was so excited he almost ran over his baby nephew. "Whoa!" Rob stopped in his tracks and picked the baby up. "Sorry Tyler!" Rob took Tyler back into the living room. Tyler's mom took him and went outside. Rob resumed to getting to his room. When he arrived to his room, he didn't see the box he put the cards in, but saw the cards on the floor. He got down to the floor to pick the cards up. And looked for the box under the bed. That's when he found something else. It was some sort of device. It had a small monitor with a red outline. Rob was speechless. Something then came from his mouth. "Digivice?" He noticed two buttons on it. He pushed one of them and it led him to a compass. The compass was pointing outside his window. One thought entered Rob's head. "Let's go exploring." Rob got into his change of clothes and headed outside. "Where are you going?" asked his mother. "To pick something up." he replied. "Be back soon!" He ran with the "digivice" in hand on the sidewalk. He took a small glance at the compass now and then to find his way. Rob took a moment to catch his breath when he saw a beam of light shot straight up into the sky from behind some houses. He wasn't sure if anyone else noticed. He looked at the compass once more and saw the arrow point towards where beam of light came from. Rob took a deep breath and headed towards where the light came from. Rob made it out of the neighborhood saw a small light coming from the grass land behind the town. He had made sure he didn't do anything suspicious, as the grass land was in between the neighborhood and a group of stores. Rob headed towards the light and saw small ripples coming from the light. When he was only two feet away a great fog came from the light and expanded to cover part of the land. Rob had to cover his eyes from the blast of fog. When he opened his eyes, he saw a small figure. When everything became clear, he saw a small dinosaur-like creature. It was dark blue and had a red stripe on the back of its neck. Its eyes red and had a black ring on his head with an upside-down black triangle on its forehead. It had a dark ring on its tail. Its claws were small but deadly. It sniffed the area and turned towards Rob. Rob fell on his butt when the creature's eyes fell on him. "And you are?" asked Rob. The creature got up and walked towards Rob. "I Kiddramon!" it answered. -to be continued ---------------- So what do you people think? Give me some feedback, please!

Friends

Who else here watches this show? It's one of my favorite shows to watch. It's also one of the funniest shows, IMO. Monica: Where's Joey? Chandler(sarcastic): Oh he took my last stick of gum, so I killed him. Do you think that was wrong?
12. Uh, doesn't this belong in the Sony section?
13. Wow, Mario Sunshine looks cool. The graphics are very stunning and the moves look cool. Now I have more things to look forward to the game, even though a Mario game has rarely ever disappointed me. :D It's funny isn't it? Mario has been a plumber all these years, and they now create a game for him that has ever used his plumbing skills(besides the pipes).
14. Nintendo for kids? Oh pshaw! Let's not forget Zelda. Some parts of that game are definately not for kids. But it still disturbs me sometimes that they release Disney games and some other cutsy ype of games on the Nintendo systems.
15. I remember one of my friends made a dirty pic. He somehow got Zelda's face popping out of Peach's butt! Anyways, yeah your pics are awesome! I liked the Metal Link, You're Coming with Me, and Prepare to Die. I thought those were cool.

Futurama

Fox is only good for Futurama, Simpsons, and Family Guy(my favorite series). Even the Simpons made fun of it. Lisa: Dad, that's FOX! Homer: AAAAAAA! Undo! Undo!
17. Thanks a lot. I couldn't find the answer anywhere. Thanks for the help. Anyway, yes it did take a loooooooong time for the game to get here in the U.S., but to me, it was worth it!
18. I dunno, maybe Yu-Gi-Oh? I don't love the show, but it would look possible to make. The only part that would take the most work would be the card battles. Everything else would be simple. Then again, there is Yugi's transformation thingy(I don't watch that much to know what it is). But one anime I would love to see as a live action movie would be Digimon, as I am a big fan of it.
19. Another year?! My memory and imagination on Harry Potter will be on a thread by then! I guess I should read the others again to keep my knowledge solid. But another year?! I wonder how smaller it is going to be. Better not be smaller than the Sorcerer's Stone.
20. Ah, the good ol' days. I loved Gargoyles back then. It's been so long, I wish I could see it again for old times sake. *sigh* Now I'm depressed. *goes off and plays video games*
21. He's right, Mario RPG for SNES is longer and has a complete different story than Paper Mario. In Mario RPG, it starts with a typical day of Bowser captures Toadstool and Mario comes to the rescue. After Mario saves Toadstool, a sword crashes into Bowser's castle and the three are separated. As Mario goes off to find the princess, he learns more about the sword and finds out that the Star Road has been broken. The Star Road is where people's wishes go(I think, hey it's been awhile!). Anyway, Mario must find the Star Pieces in order to restore the Star Road. In Paper Mario, the beginning is the same but Bowser ends up victorious. Bowser stole the Star Rod(it grants wishes) and uses its power to kidnap Peach and to make her entire castle float in the sky. Anyway, Mario must save the Star Spirit that were captured along with the Star Rod. Anyways, that's the stories for those two. In short, Mario RPG is longer than Paper Mario. Anyway, I'd suggest for the SNES you get Mario PRG, FF 2 & 3, Soul Blazer, and also Robotrek.
22. I'm looking forward to watching the next part. Which reminds me I had better finish reading Fellowship of the Ring, I stopped after I watched the movie! Shame on me! Anyways, your bashing on Harry Potter is very immature, I'd suggest you clean up your act.
23. Navi left after the end of Ocarina of Time. *SPOILER!* When Link returns from the future and puts the Master Sword back into place, you'll notice that Navi flies to the ceiling and leaves through a window. *END SPOILER!* That's what I think at least.
24. Let's see, what did I do again? I went to a friend's house on the 3rd. We stayed up pretty late and saw some people fire fireworks. It was funny, the fireworks never blew up. They went into the air and fall right back down! We, or should I say my friend, went to sleep at around 2 AM. His stupid, yet very cute, kitty kept waking me up every once an hour by jumping on me. I got tired of it and got up at 6:30. We went to his grandma's house for breakfast, had me some french toast :tasty:. We then watched some TV (I watched Sponge Bob Squarepants for the third time, I wished I had the Nick channel for that show). Then we came back to my house and played some games. He left at about 5, and I came on here. We were going to have a cook out, but everyone was working! I would have too, if I had a job. But we're having the cook out today!
25. Oh I have a question I've been meaning to ask. In the beginning, it says that Link was actually looking for something/someone. Was he looking for Navi? Because I heard a fairy sound after that part.
