The banner's background reminds me of an x-ray slide...? Anyway, I've liked all of them. ^_~ I would suggest putting a greater pause between the first and last frames of the banner animation, though.

*waits for TN*

Gomen? Um...sorry. It means sorry. ...."Harley"? I stared at that for about three minutes before I realized who it was referring to. ....Harley... *shudders*

One of my friends threatened to severely hurt any of us who went to see it. He didn't like it...it was funny, listening to him rant.

*dryly* As much as I wish it, it isn't my computer. And believe me, he was quickly re-educated. The next thing he put up was a Calvin and Hobbes comic. Yes, they can be taught...

Is there ever a good enough reason for suicide?
Sara replied to wrist cutter's topic in General Discussion
Many of you seem very certain about this topic...And while I commend you for your conviction, I hope you would use gentler words when speaking with someone who needs help. *soft smile* Suicide is bad. It hurts people. Hurting is bad. But often, suicide is the last attempt to stop a lifetime of hurt. -
Well, geez. I understood it. :p Very nice, Shy.

*laughs softly* Such high praise, James. I haven't seen it, but I am certainly going to, now. I'd like to watch it for myself.

The book was mind-boggling. I've read it six times, and every time I catch some little thing that I missed before. I love it. I don't know if I'll go to see the movie. I'd be ever-so-distressed if it wasn't as good as I'd hoped.

*looks at James' post for a few seconds* Now that is an interesting phrase. *gives Mitch a gold star for mentioning Elton John* I don't know even half the artists mentioned in this thread. I feel very out-of-tune with the world of popular music, hmm.. Eh, all I can think of is the l'arc en ciel song that's been stuck in my head all day. Flower.

omg lol that is so funy.

To Sara: Heh, what about when people interrupt you while you are watching The Princess Bride? ^_~ *turns scarlet* Oh. Yeah. Um...that, too. ^^ I read a quote from some scientist today while I was taking the ACT, I do not remember what it said exactly, but it was something along the lines of just knowing when and when not to question things. Haha, you had that one, too? ^_~ The schizophrenic line caught my attention, too. I have to agree it was pretty good.
Originally posted by DeathKnight Does that make me the Godfather?
*freezes in terror* Haha, I love this pic. Everyone looks much more...dangerous...in your version. :p Is Dexter wearing a trenchcoat? Full marks for sheer coolness. Nice shadows, too. ^_^

Point one: Apple+Shift+3 Point two: There was a picture of Juu....and she removed it...for our viewing pleasure? I sense flawed logic. Point three: The desktop my brother had for about 23 minutes before I kicked him off the computer and changed it. See attachment.

I always want to post how to take screenshot on a mac, but no one ever asks, heh.. My brother changed it a few months ago to something absolutely hideous. Let me see if I can find the shot I took of that....

I'm entirely too shy for such things.

Thankies! I did, actually. ^_^ It was a sort of thank-you for a friend of mine, but I really loved how it turned out, so... Wallpaper, it became.

It's much more satisfying to be amused that angry. I do try. Things that "bother" me: -Book-banning. I can [and have] ranted about this one for hours. -The fact that the new boxes of Crayola Crayons do not carry my favorite colors. I can get exceedingly worked up over the subject of art supplies. You have no idea. -Superiority Complexes: The opposite of "inferiority complexes. You know how some people think they are worse than everyone else, when they really are not? This is the opposite of that, and it annoys me to no end. An example would be my much-lamented history teacher. I'm sure some of you remember him. -Any movie with the title Land Before Time and a number greater than or equal to 2. *hisses* That's all I can think of, at the moment. ^_^

Okay, here goes. DOK:

Sometimes it was very unclear who was speaking. ?How do you know this?? He turned to Jice the musician and smiled. Ryan's the subject of the sentence, but I think Jice was the one who asked the question. It's confusing.
Burman seems a little too intimidated by Acantha.
I wasn't sure what just happened with the whole arrow thing.
You missed a couple of the characters, I think.
I sound terribly negative, don't I? Sorry. These were just things that jumped out at me. I'm not really familiar with your writing, so it's harder to judge. I'll be gentler when I'm used to your writing style.
Mitch:

I love some of the lines you threw in there for Lacroix. Burman, Burman, Burman. What in the depths of hell would we do without you?
Some of the other stuff seemed overdone, though. discuss and torrent our ways into this conundrum of the town? Some of the stuff you write just seems to be words thrown together with now actual purpose in mind.
We get to know a little bit more about Jice. He stood up to Lacroix, not something I expected. :p
No other comments, really. I'd have liked to see more dialogue.
Sara:

The exhaustion-thing was a little weird. I was dead tired when I was writing it, I guess that's why I threw it in there. A little character development for Xii, she doesn't wear well.
I stayed a little more with the "Burman is a decent fellow after all" feeling this round. He's not quite such an idiot, although not everyone likes him.
Xii's friends with Percy. I suppose that started when they ran into each other in the first round. [And I suppose it also has to do with the fact I was more comfortable with Shy's character than any of the others, but there it lies.]
I really didn't know what to do with Jice and Ryan; sorry you guys. I gave them both semi-generic conversations with Xii, just to get them in there.
I think the idea was the someone had thrown a knife into Xii's chair while she was at the window...? And Lacroix, I'm sure, recognized some obscure design on it. I was just writing at this point, and really had no idea where I was going with it.
Like I told Lady A, I am the queen of the anti-climatic. Xii's a bit stunned, and only asks for a drink of water, heh. I don't know, it just strikes me as funny.
Lady A:

I'm just going to say again how weird it is to be reading something that I could have written, but didn't.
Tylenia brings Xii upstairs. Heh, this made me smile. I'm just going to think you wrote that after reading my entry; it would be far to disturbing if you didn't. :p
I liked your description of Jice's hands. It just seemed right.
You had the guts to add a character, go you. Marjorie, huh?
I love the ending, very nice.
Overall, I love it. Nice writing style, heh.
Harlequin:

I finally figured out who Lacroix reminds me of. It's been bugging me since we started, heh. Anyway, it's the marquis from Neverwhere, if you've ever read it. A strange cross between him and Mr. Croup....ah, nevermind.
Xii was struggling to maintain the polite fiction she gave a damn. Heh, love that line.
Dahrin and Acantha? That's something I didn't expect.
I liked the feud between Lacroix and Ryan.
Some metaphysical stuff about the order of the universe that I actually didn't mind reading. You deserve an award.
I also liked the bit about him trying to get himself drunk. It fit.
And indeed, where would we be without random assassination attempts?
I vote for Harlequinand Lady A.
