I went to go see the Gin Blossums at Taste if Addison earlier this year and they were incredible. They were kinda popular in the 90's but now they are kind of under the radar. But they played like they were at the top of the world! The singer sang into cell phones and video cameras, he even took their cameras up to the stage and recorded the band close up! He then walked the fence in the crowd and he used our hands to get across and through. Best experience ever.

The story was horrible, it was just so obvious that it was thrown together because the second and third were shot together. Jack Sparrow is probably one of the few reasons to go see this movie, and even then his eccentric charm wears thin as he tries to do what he can with the script. Keira did terrible whenever she had to carry a scene and she was just overall a letdown. Her character was inconsistent if you compare the two movies. The childrens books were cool, i just wish they had left it alone and just made one movie and let it end with style. Hopefully the third will be better.

why would the otakuboards change an entire forum's setup when all you have to do is take into something as simple as MS Paint or as complex as Photoshop?

The latest i really ever come to a graveyard shift is when i work 4 to 10 on fridays. Its pretty alright really, usually i just pump up the music and jam for a few hours. I work in an equipment station for video students. I am also sorrounded by labs with people. Though usually i am all by myself. I can work on homework at the school until 2am and i usually do, so i may as well work a night shift. Happy Birthday! My birthday was tuesday and i was sitting in school watching the clock strike midnight when i took a break from my homework. lol what a crazy night eh?

I agree with Dagger, we would all be pretty pissed if all of the sudden Hugh Grant was Wolverine. We are so used to the characters it would be distracting to see anyone else play them. Especially ones that don't necessarily have heavy makeup.

I know alot of it comes from people on internet too much. Teenagers spend so much time on the internet where there is no grammer check; that they start to get used to it. When you AIM your friends whats faster? I C I L8tr or I will see you later? I think the internet has ALOT to do with it. Teachers can only do so much; myself, my father taught me how to read before i attended school.

Thats truly horrible, have no idea what i would do if that happened to me. If i thought my daughter was alive and i stayed by her for days only to realize that she was long gone.

The movie was cool, we saw it at 12:01 am so the hardcore fans were there. It was entertaining but the whole thing was a trailer. It was too rushed and choppy. It just felt like a long preview. The Magneto and Wolverine spinoffs will probably have the same problem. As if Wolverine didn't get enough of his life explained in the first two. They focus so much on him its a little annoying.

i think that Fox made a huge mistake cancelling Titus; that was quite a few years ago. I just loved that show, my crazy family paled in comparison. There were three seasons and the last one just came out this past January. It was a good show and it had a great run so i guess thats awesome.

A-kon is coming up in Dallas,Tx this June! I was wondering if anybody here planned on attending A-kon, and what events/performances they would be looking forward to. This will be my fourth A-kon and i personally can't wait! Penecillin (sp) is going to be there and i will be there and spend the night the first two nights. So anyone going? If you are maybe we could meet in person? Just a random thought; it would be fun to meet some Otakuboards members and an event like this seems like the perfect place.

It would be a chily morning and I would wake up next to my exboyfriend and we would have our fun first.... then we would have breakfast, mmmmm pancakes and syrup. Then we would walk the short walk to the town and look at stuff. Rummage around and maybe get a wind chime for our place and some more candles and incense. Then we would head to the beach and play in the surf for most of the afternoon. After it got dark we would swear and wish on the moon and stars. Holding each other close; never wanting to let go. Then we would go home and play DOA or Sonic. After we were tired of that we would go to sleep and would fall asleep holding each other. Quite sappy i suppose...

i don't know if it was the best video game movie adaptation but it was a decent movie. I just wish the plot actually went together and Pyramid Head had a role that was more than him just popping in for gore. Everything in the games was symbolic and the movie definetly lacked that. It was like a giant tease. The one monster Cybill shot in the street was cool but i wish you could have seen them try and escape them. I guess i wanted to be more survival based; not a big run around that decides to turn into a horror film in the last twenty minutes.

Back on topic, I agree with saying it is a ridiculous saying. As for the Marie A. thing i don't know if it was false or not. I was always taught she did say that but history is proved wrong everyday. But its funny because she wasn't talking about cake in the way most people thought she was. What do you mean the creator of the games made the movie? The director was Christophe Gans from brotherhood of the wolf and the scriptwriter was Roger Avary. Besides the creators of Silent Hill are japanese; this was essentially a French movie.

Personally i think the whole thing is just a broken record for the moment; i mean so what the mods do their job and everyone complains that there is over moderation. they give some slack and then everyone starts complaining about the post quality going down. I think they just need to mod and not care about people complaining about their thread being closed. I also think when you first register for Ob there should be a mandatory quick little quiz on the rules. That will at ensure something staying in the heads of the those jumping on for the first time. The only thing this protest accomplished for sure was making them seem anit american. The whole issue of Vincent Fox legalizing drugs isn't helping either, his dumbass idea couldn't have come at a worse time for immigrants. Though he has gone back on it and will not sign the bill until it is revised. The Gringo Boycott is ridiculous too; if you haven't heard it's urging immigrants not to eat American fod like Mcdonalds and the such. Wow, this is sooooo stupid i just want to get up front at a protest and yell: You are ILLEGAL, you cannot protest for rights if you have not earned them!

Retribution, no one is saying that we don't need them. Well at least i'm not Yeah some things shut down and it was hard for a day but the fact of the matter is that when they pass the bill its suppossed to put people who are already here straight on the path to citizenship. I think the catch is you have to have been here for a certain amount of time. This is an issue for future immigrants, my mother and her whole family came here illegally. I am 20 yrs old and have an associates degree and am currently pursuing my Bachleors degree in digital media production. I have proven that children of illegal immigrants can become productive members of society. But back where i am from i see the crossing over, i see the horrible deaths and crimes. If you live in a city where there are immigrants protesting for rights sure you want to help them. But you wanna know what i see? I see a Coyote (person that smuggles people in from mexico) taking half the money a family has to smuggle them here. If they are lucky he dumps them somewhere in Texas and tells them its Dallas. I can't count the number of people who would knock on my door asking how to get to Houston from Dallas. (I live three hours from the border!) I lived out in the country and it was commonplace to call the border patrol to come because our stuff was getting stolen. Then there is the possibility that the people crossing over would be unlucky, and the coyote would either leave them to die the second he though the feds were onto him, or he would convince them they owe him more money and what they paid before was only half. They would with either work as sex slaves or in horrible working conditions where they would not get paid. they would work only to pay back what they were told they owed. I have seen trains pulled over and abandoned rigs in my town full of women anc children left to suffocate. We need to stop the death and exploitation and fix our borders now. We also need to go and assasinate President Fox. We can give Osama weapons and help him train people but we can't fix Mexico? He is also now trying to legalize drugs in Mexico, the whole system is corrupt and it needs to be totally revamped. Somebody needs to do something and the first thing i do when i get enough money is i am going to shoot a documentary in Mexico. I will show everyhing, not just what the news shows you.

I was wondering what you guys thought about the immigrants protesting and not going to work this past Monday. Do you think it is a valid strategy? DO you think it will solve anything? What about the bills they are trying to pass, do you have any opinions? I myself think the bills that make you a felon are not too bad of a deal. I'm hispanic and i don't think it's any good for our economy. I say this because where i live it is pratically a hellhole because of the unbalanced population/tax payer ratio. Besides this will stop alot of people from dying as well while trying to cross the border.
