Unless you overclocked, I'm guessing your processor is an Athlon XP (AMD only has one 1.7 ghz, and this one is in its XP series). Anyway, I know of all the problems with the P4, but it's what I got for now: P4 1.8 GHz Intel D850GB Mobo (I love the temp sensors on this board.. told me when to get a nice 120 mm fan=] ) 128 MB RDRAM (stupid P4 ram.. I should've waited before I got a p4, at least they have DDR support now... ) Visiontek OEM GeForce3 video card - 64 MB SB Live! Value (yeah yeah, I know.. cheap card..) 4 usb ports Linksys IEEE 1394 card(firewire) 2 LinkSys NIC's 10/100 16x DVD-ROM (forget the CD read speed, probably 40 or 50) 8x4x32x cdrw (got this thing in march 2000 - paid 300 bucks) 56K useless modem - no purpose for it.. just for back up... Eh.. I believe that's pretty much it... ooh.. 19 inch monitor.. but that's it for now [edit] forgot hard drive - measly 40 gigs.. didn't go too far. I could always purchase an extra or two [/edit]

Hmm, I would say math, but I finished all the math my high school had to offer last year (11th grade). Yeah, they don't offer calculus bc, so I'll have to wait till college to take those classes, and I'll have to - I'm going in as a computer science major, minoring in music =]. So I guess I'll say C++ programming - my last period and a great way to end the day...

Hey, those are some pretty hardcore pictures! I'm up on 14th street so I'm quite a bit away from them... I was up at laguardia hs during the whole ordeal... Anyway, I know I could have said something earlier, but it's good to know see another survivor going on with their lives. I'm happy for you and you seem to be all up-tempo and stuff, so that's great! The only other person I know is my friend's mom who worked in a close building in Mimi's Maternity... But, those are some interesting pics, thanks for sharing them!

I believe they only had forums since the beginning of December of '99, but I'm not sure, I came two months after that and I saw that the earliest members were from back then. AGB must have been around most of '99 or just the latter half of that year.

Yep I remember you, I read these boards often (remember, me = teh rare poster). I wonder what ever happened to the people that were around when I first registered (around Feb 2000). There was very little spam back then =]

OK, this is what I recall hearing on the news. The reason they would not be able to tell is because the terrorists seemed to have disabled the transponder (I think that's what it is). This does not allow for others to detect at what altitude the plane is flying. I believe this is why they could not tell, since there is an airport near the pentagon anyway.

Yes, it turns out that both Adam and I are fine. I'm just a little obligated to be quite pissed at this incident... They attack my city... I'm looking outside my window now - I used to be able to see both of the towers, and now I see the remains outside. I'm seeing the one that still stands a bit taller, but there are about 40 stories that remain in the buildings. If you go outside, you can still see the smoke from anywhere in the city. It's insane - I can't believe this happened. I remember this morning... I was listening to the AM radio (1010 WINS), and it was one thing after another. Plane hits WTC. Second plane hits WTC. More sh|t hits the fan... Pentagon bombed.. South tower collapses.. North tower collapses. My friends mom worked there, and was the first person I worried about - I remembered she works on the 1st floor in a shop, so I was a bit relieved - I just called him and she's fine. This - .. well.. it's complete bull. I'm out.

Yes, I have been playing piano for 11 years. No, not because I'm forced, but because I enjoy practicing for hours at a time. I do a bit of my own composing, but nothing that goes down on paper. Basically, I have an ongoing improvisation which changes as I figure out how things sound better, with things borrowed from classical music (such as a chord progression), but with jazz elements. I have played violin for 6 years now, but I have slacked off and focused in more on piano.

Heheh, don't forget about Wolfenstein.. Now that's classic, baby! Those were the good old days. Hey, don't bad-mouth the Voodoo5. It has a really good chipset, 3dfx knew exactly what they were doing until they were bought by nVidia. After the V3, they basically focused on graphics. Their AA is still unmatched - 4x AA rules on the V5. Yes, it did not have many features, which is another reason that screen would still look better than the V5. I'm pretty sure that game is using some hardware T&L.. The blood looks a lot like Max Payne's, and I see barely any resemblance to the Quake 3 engine. Maybe some to the Lithtech... hmm.. oh well, we'll just have to see how it runs.
