Well, I used to visit a Circut City where I live and I was always ignored by the video game cashiers and such. I wasn't asked if they could help me, if there was anything I was looking for, or whatever. It jus aggravated me. Now one thing that really ticks my mom off is the fact that Wal-Mart *Sorry Shaholl* has started this thing where if you write a check to them they take your check, scan it, and then hand you back the original, make you keep it, and then you sign some stupid reciept. To me that's a waste of paper and if I was going to have you do all that crap with a check I'd be better off using my debit card. I mean seriously, how stupid is that? And that's what Grinds my Gears.

Who here has a journal? (No not a blog of sorts.)
Domon replied to Domon's topic in General Discussion
Wow! I didn't know a lot of people still had journals of some sort ^_^;; I used to have a journal in junior high, but it was for assigned writing crap. You really couldn't express yourself and I guess that's why I gave up on writing in a journal for so long. I did have a MyO and a Xanga, but I really gave up on that. I was thinking of getting a MySpace just because my friends have accounts too but I really like to keep my personal feelings in something that a billion other people aren't going to read. That's what makes me a little uncomfortable about online journals ^_^;; -
I'm just curious who here has a journal like a book, notebook, etc. Or did you ever have one and stop writing in it and what made you stop? What kind of things did you write in it? Things that just came to you? Stories that just popped into your head? Or a day's events? Me, I tend to have a yo-yo way of writing. I get into a kick on writing in a journal and then I just kind of shrug it off and don't do it. But lately I've been having the urge to write down things so I don't forget or stew about it for a few days. It also just gives me something to do. Mainly I write about a day's events or how I'm feeling. It just let's me get things off my chest and it also makes me feel like I'm not taking anyone's time up by griping to them about something that they don't want to hear me rant and rave about. *Sorry in advance if this is a spammy thread.*

Personally I think that its pretty lame that the Motion Picture Association wants to actually make smoking part of rating a movie! I mean jeez!! I mean come on. Smoking?? Its not as if a lot of people that go to the movies don't either smoke or know someone who smokes.

Name: Caden Age: 24 Nationality: British Class: Templar Knight (in hiding) Weapon: Broadsword, A smooth oak longbow, and a quiver of arrows with pure white swan feather fletches. Appearance: His hair is slightly blonder, his complexion is lighter. His tunic is tattered around the hem suggesting that he's worn this tunic for quite some time, the Chain mail underneath however is very clean and shiny. The mail is the first thing suggesting that Caden is more than a simple boy. He stands about six feet tall and yet being this tall does not alarm anyone, they assume he is in fact a gentle person, that is until his cloak comes off and reveals the menacingBroadsword and most people get the idea that he's more than just a wandering rogue. He's a knight of some order. Most of his clothes are those he started out with when he started loooking for the men that killed his father before his eyes. Unlike the old knights of his order he does not don the full armor, but instead will wear what he always wears except maybe a bracer or two. Personality: Reserved and soft spoken most of the time but he lets his emotions control him. This is mainly due to his past as a child and also to the fact that he is a Knight Templar, branded by the church as heretics, blasphomers of the cross, and by all intents and purposes evil people. The few people Caden has told that he is in fact a Templar Knight are surprised that such a handsome and kind boy is a supposed "Enemy of the Church and God." Most people, when passing by Caden would assume he was just a young boy enjoying swordplay and therefor would be a simpleton, yet when they hear him speak in a mannered tone. Being direct and tactful in situations usually shocks people. When alone Caden usually keeps watch of himself at all times while palming a small pendant given to him by his father. The pendant is that of the Templars themselves and yet Caden can do nothing but simmer at the thought of being a Templar. The fact that he was born into a life of running from persecution and hatred by the Church has done nothing but fuel his hatred not only towards the papacy but twoards his own kind as well. When he met another hiding Templar, Caden immediately struck the man in the face and told him that maybe the Templars should have stayed in Acre and perished rather than returning to the homeland to be persecuted by a corrupt church. This of course has put him under the eye of some the Templars most trusted spies and informants. To make sure that he does not turn over any remaining Templars to the Church. At other times he is easily calmed by playing a small flute that his father made for him when he was all of six. The boy was always akeen to music and as a baby could only be calmed by his father's flute playing. Since then he's always put at ease by playing or listening to music. Call it a weakness if you like, but to Caden its his only escape from the world he lives in. Combat Tactics: Caden usually charges in on all cylinders and will keep fighting until every enemy is downed or has surrendered. He does not enjoy backing off all that much and would have to be practically dragged off from a battle. This kind of behavior is quite dangerous and has gotten the young knight into some hard spots that he barely escaped from. His emotions put him almost into a blind rage and some people think that he is an ancient beserker reincarnated because he will keep fighting even if he is seriously wounded. Special Skills: Caden is able to wield his broadsword with one hand for a small amount of time and can actually down a mounted knight while he is firmly planted on the ground. He actually once threw his sword clear across a room and it landed directly on its target. Bio: Knights Templar, defenders of the Holy Land, desecraters of the cross, heretics, evil doers. This has been ingrained into Caden's mind ever since he could carry a sword. His father was a former Knight and yet he was a kind man and was well liked by the people in their village. What Caden didn't know was that since they were hiding, he was never to reveal what his father truly was. However, one day when Caden was fourteen he asked his father to show him what Templars did. For most of that day his father was very angry and distraught with Caden, but finally that night his father roused him from sleep and took him to a secret meeting in the woods where he met the Grand Master and asked if he may be accepted into the order. The master pondered this for awhile and then said that the boy would have to undergo the initiations the following year. Caden was so elated that the next day he couldn't believe that the night's events had actually happened. However the year was not so pleasant. The church had actually tracked down Caden's father. The pope himself actually appeared with two armed soldiers who brutally tortued Caden's father. The boy tried to defend his father but was savagely struck by one of the soldier's sword, hence the scar across his face. As he laid there bleeding, blood flowing into his eye, he saw the other soldier raise his sword up and then in an instant it came down upon his father's head. In that same moment he lost consciousness. Thankfully when the soldier who had attacked the boy earlier turned to kill the boy his mother threw herself upon the boy and told the soldier that Caden was just defending his father and that he is a good boy who believes in the cross and that Templars are evil creatures, that he had no idea that his father was a Templar. The pope bought the claim and let the boy live. When Caden came to he was back in his house with his mother, who had been weeping, his right eye though was bandaged and he felt a searing pain as he ran his fingers along his cheek. Cursing then he spent the rest of that year going out into the far fields and woods practicing sword play, his mother was his sparring partner. For a woman she was actually quite adept with a sword. When the year passed Caden met the Grand Master yet again and passed the initiation rites and asked to become a knight. He was accepted and swore vengance on the church for what they did to his father. To either the dismay or the surprise of the Grand Master, Caden found the two soldiers who killed his father and repaid them for their act of hatred, however when he left them he a cloth with a Templar cross on it on the faces of the dead men. Now with his vendetta on those two men comeplete Caden has been wandering searching for something to do such as a quest or some way to redeem the Templars.

As long as this crap has been dragging out this is being called the Vietnam of our generation. I mean jeez, the death toll is just climbing and its getting to the point where the president should realize that this is becoming futile and he should be telling this prime minster to at least grow some balls and get his country under control. But that's never going to happen. We'll constantly hear from Bush and his little flunkies in press conferences, "We're succeeding in our war on terrorisim." Yeah like that inspires a lot of hope in the people of the United States. I'm seriously fed up with that line of bull crap. The "war on terrorism" is just his way of saying we're going after a group of radicals that are holed up in a certain country and they pissed us off so we're going there. If we were really in a war with terrorists we would be in other countries like Spain and we could have prevented the incident there, or London. But that didn't happen now did it? It takes all sovereign countries to fight this supposed "war." I mean get a grip. In response to your question, I think our troops have tried as hard as they can but we can't exactly take over Iraq and make it like a Commonwealth like Puerto Rico. Its not like the Iraqi populace would like that and we'd just piss off Iran and Syria even more, along with Turkey if we haven't pissed their government off already. I mean if Iraq was made into a commonwealth it would just further prove a lot of people's presumptions on Bush's true intentions to raid Iraq for oil so that we have a safe supply of oil. But a lot of people would consider it blood oil, blood money, whatever you want to call it. So in my opinion the Iraqi Prime Minister and the rest of the government needs to step up and call for calm from all of their citizens and to help establish order so that Iraq can sustain itself. Otherwise this violence will do nothing but escalate pas the point that its at right now. I mean seriously, this civil war that's going on over there is just getting worse and the Iraqi government is just twiddling its thumbs expecting the great US to come in and help... Get a grip.

Okay, big whoop. Saddam's dead. Has that changed a thing over there? Have all the Suni and Shi'ia (sp?) put their weapons down and stopped killing each other? Answer: No and its getting worse over there, and yet our wonderful chimpanzee of a president is wanting to send MORE troops to Iraq. While I support our troops I've been against this war for awhile and I think its time we just gave the Iraqi government an ultimadeum. 1. Get your act together so we can leave and not have to lose more troops over there. OR 2. Go ahead and continue what your doing and we'll just leave now. Let your own people kill themselves. I know I sound cruel and unethical but I'm tired of seeing on the news that those freaking idiots over there just can't accept the fact that a new kind of government is going to be in power and that its trying to unite all religious sects under one flag. But do the people of Iraq really care? No, they're mindless, its like a big mob who doesn't know what the heck they're doing..... I mean seriously this execution did nothing to bring any kind of peace. Plus, we're sending more troops over already. My best friend who is like a brother to me has been sent over to Iraq and he's the same age as me! I'm tired of kids, yes kids being shipped over to that hell hole and getting killed. I mean those each person who is killed over there is someone's kid, father, mother, brother, sister, friend. I'm sorry but executing the man didn't work the way it was supposed to I guess because the violence has been on the rise and it shows no sign of letting up. Okay, I said my bit.

?Ugggg? I feel so tired. Was that all real or just a dream?? Aaron mumbled from as he sat up in his bed. His alarm clock read the date, it was Aril 12, 2006. Yesterday was real and that meant. Aaron felt a hole form in his stomach. A man had died and yet he had lived from some freaky powers that he just developed. Aaron quickly ran from his bedroom across the hall to the bathroom and wretched out what he had eaten for lunch yesterday. Still the images from yesterday were vivid and he vomited once more. ?I see you?re up. Its about time.? Aaron looked up from the toilet and saw his older brother, who was twenty-three standing there. ?Did a man seriously?? Aaron was cut off by a motion from his brother, ?Don?t worry about it. The fact of the matter is that you?re alive. I?m just glad you are.? His brother came in and helped Aaron off the floor and over to the sink. After some vigorous gargling, the acid taste was gone from Aaron?s mouth. He headed back towards his room to put some pants on, walking around the house in just a shirt and boxers seemed slightly awkward at the moment. When he came downstairs his parents were at the table acting normal, but not normal. His mother was the first to say something, ?Are you okay dear? I know you had a horrible day yesterday. Your professors called this morning and said that if you didn?t come in today they would e-mail you the assignments.? Aaron shook his head, his hair falling in his eyes slightly. ?I?m not okay, I feel sick to my stomach. The fact that a guy died in this accident? I still can?t believe I didn?t die. I just don?t understand it.? Aaron said as he slumped into the kitchen chair. His brother was eyeing him like a dog does with a stranger. Making sure this was the same person sitting in front of him as it was yesterday. Aaron could feel the tension in the air and excused himself from the table and went to his room. As he was sitting on his bed he focused on a stack of music discs sitting on his desk. Focusing enough he lifted them effortlessly off the desk and brought the pile over to his side. Still in awe he jumped up and changed into some clothes and headed out the door. Moments later his brother was down the sidewalk following him. ?All right Aaron. I know something?s different with you. So why don?t you spill it right now.? Aaron whirled around at his brother and got right up to his face and looked him in the eye. ?Look Josh. I don?t need you following me around like I?m incapable of wiping my own ass. Leave me alone and let me sort things out. Okay?? With that Aaron turned around and headed for the subway station. When Aaron got off at his exit in lower Manhattan he found a small beat café. Upon entering it he heard a monotone voice of some college kid bitching about how his life sucked and how it was so horrible. Eventually Aaron tuned him out and started surveying the crowd. He caught a glance of a woman who looked like she was about to start yelling at the kid for how ignorant he was being. Aaron got up from his seat and walked over towards the woman and sat down next to her. ?Apparently some people enjoy bitching about stupid things in life. Wouldn?t you agree?? The woman nodded and started to say something but realized she was taking a drink of coffee.

Name: Aaron Brown Age: 22 Gender: Male Occupation: Full time student majoring in world history. Secretary at a lawyer?s office in downtown New York. Bio: ?Hey kid. You all right? Kid?? Aaron looked up at the paramedic who was trying to get Aaron?s attention. The man had a look of concern. ?Yeah.. I just don?t understand how I could have survived that.? Aaron said as he rubbed his forehead. The paramedic agreed and gave him an okay. When that was finished Aaron reached back into his car and grabbed his cell phone and called his mother to come get him after that he phoned work and explained the situation and got the afternoon off. After Aaron had arrived home he flopped onto his bed and started wondering how he put up a barrier like he had done in the accident. He then sat up and focused on his desk lamp. The effect however was different, he managed to mentally lift the lamp up off the desk. Surprised, Aaron dropped the lamp but when the lamp hit a barrier was around it when it hit the desk. Even more surprised, Aaron brought the lamp up to eye level and brought the thing hurtling towards his face but the lamp was stopped by a barrier around Aaron. ?This is way to crazy.. Hmmm.. I wonder..? With that Aaron focused the Telekinesis force underneath himself and was amazed to see himself barely levitate above the ground. When he stopped the sudden surge of exhaustion was overwhelming and Aaron fell over onto his bed. Powers: Ability to project mental barriers around himself and others and Telekinesis, thus allowing the ability to levitate and possibly fly.
Strike Gundam. As a pacifist, I believe that no[/B'] nation should have these kinds of weapons. It's just ludicrous that the US government is on some (pretended?) weapons-of-mass-destruction hunt, when in fact the US is the country in possession of most of those. And although I'm naïve, I'm not blue-eyed enough to believe that US won't ever use them. Who knows when the next "lesser of two evils" situations comes up? :P
Yet it never has been used has it? We never used Nuclear weapons on Korea originally or Vietnam or the first Gulf war. People were hollering after 9/11 to drop nukes on Irag and Afghanistan. Its pointless, the nuclear capabilities are so disasterous compared to the 1945 ones. If we were to drop one right now, right now at this very moment in time. The affects of it would be felt around the world for the next ten to twenty years I'm sure. I was watching a special on TV awhile back ago. If the US or Russia were to launch just twenty nuclear warheads. We would wipe out the entire population of the earth, period. That means that in this worse case scenario (god forbid) that if the US were to accidentally launch a nuke and then Russia returns fire and you do that ninteen more times total. EVERY single being on the face of the earth, including you Sandy, would be dead. Dead dead dead dead. Now back onto what I was originally trying to say. During the first Korean war, General McArthur clamored and pleaded for us to drop a nuke on North Korea to end the war period. He was then dishonorably discharged for his conduct by Trueman. The very person who decicded to drop a nuke on Japan. It was not right to use it. Dropping nukes all willy nilly is not a smart thing. If our government were to drop a nuke anywhere. Do you know what would happen? Impeachment and the person I'm sure would be tried for what he did, especially if there were alternatives. So what I'm trying to say is that yes the US does have nuclear capability, as does Russia and I'm sure several other countries too. And as I stated before, who knows how many nukes Russia has left over from the fifties.
Domon[/B'], you brought the Nazi comparation up yourself, I wouldn't go that far with my train of thought. And like I'm not condemning Germans about their past, I'm not condemning the Americans either. I'm just really worried that the whole "world police" thinking has gotten too deep into everybody's heads on the other side of the Atlantic. You should focus on getting your internal matters fixed before you rush to save the whole world.
No offense, but it sure as heck in your previous posts seem like you are condemning us. And as stated by both Deathknight and Retribution. Total war is not a pretty thing. We can't go back in time to the forties and say "Don't do that! We'll get scoffed at in the future for what you did." I'm sure that President Trueman and his chiefs of staff went over every single possibility before deciding to drop the nukes.
Which leads me to my last point. DeathKnight[/B'], you think your country can afford to go into yet another war (with a country that only poses a theoretic threat, like Iraq did), but if you haven't noticed, all the money spent into wars, soldiers and weaponry is taken from the well-being of the common American people. News from the USA claim that poverty is on a huge rise, health care is in serious problems, and crime is intensifying in the streets, and yet your government (who no doubt aren't facing the aforementioned problems personally) is only concerned about "terrorists". Anything wrong with this picture?
I doubt DeathKnight was trying to say that the US is going to go to war with N. Korea. But the fact of the matter is this. How many times in the past had Irag scoffed at everything the UN did? How many times had people clamored to get the Taliban out of Afghanistan? The fact of the matter remains, the entire world sat on their hands and did nothing to address these situations and now look what happened. over three thousand people were murdered by people from one of the countries the world had been worried about. So the US fought back, have we dropped nukes? No. Is it going to happen? Doubtful. But once we started fighting the two countries every other single nation in the world just decided to look at us like "eww... They're rather stupid for going to war." And granted there are going to be some hard times ahead and there are now. But what do you expect? Everything to be peachy keen? Its not, its war. People are going to die, people have been dying and who knows how many more will die. Its time to face the facts. War is war, you can say you're a pacifist and that's fine. But don't crucify things that other nations did over sixty years ago and then say that we should have done something else when there really wasn't an alternative. EDIT- If I said anything too overly offensive or offensive at all. I apologize in advance. I'm just stating an opinion.

No Sandy, I wasn't a "good friend" of Trueman's and I was not trying to be arrogant. The nuclear attacks on Hiroshima and Nagasaki was a massive slaughter of inoccent people. So I guess that probably makes us just as bad as Hitler when he murdered the jewish people just because of who they were? But the fact remains, the US used two nuclear weapons on Japan to bring about a swifter end to the war. Yeah, we have to live with the fact that nuclear weaopns were dropped on Japan. Just like Germany has to live with the fact that they were controlled by a homocidal maniac who killed thousands of people just because of his maniacal ideals. So please don't think that all Americans are comeplete arrogant jerks. EDIT- If we are to be put at the same level as Germany, then why aren't we seeing people pointing at Germany and saying, "Hey, you guys don't have a lot of room to talk because look at what you did to a lot of inoccent people!" I mean come on. If it's because everyone seems to hate us because of our president, then jeez. I guess you really haven't gotten to know any american civilian. Most of the people I know are really nice, I mean heck, not everyone here is a dumb person who closely resembles a chimpanzee.

Okay, to all those who are griping about us using the nukes in WW II... YOu all need to brush up on your history. I mean honestly, I'm not trying to start flamming but seriously. The fact that the US used Nukes was in essence to prevent the massive slaughtering of our marines and army members. Trust me, Trueman and his staff members went over every single possible scenario that would avoid having to use the nuclear weapons. All of them were extremely grim and had a horrible turnout for our troops. So the nuclear weapon was the only choice that would save a majority of our troops. My question though to those who are dredging up this event is this. What other possible way would you have dealt with the Japanese when they were basically wiping out our troops? They were not up for talking and they refused to surrender. They were given the option to surrender or face serious consequences. Now I'm sure some people are going to say, oh well the US walked out of the Kyoto treaty because we felt we were too good for that. Thing is, I think our government was slightly stupid in that action, but I'm sure that Russia has a bunch of nukes still stockpiled from the fifties hidden . I mean who knows how many of those things they have hidden? Now that I've finished that rant. If N.Korea were to start any crap, I mean seriously. They'd have not only the US, but Japan, China, Russia, and I'm sure some other countries. Anyways, there is my rant so blarg.
-
In all honesty I think that the UN is not doing enough. They seem to only be able to yap. No action has been taken as of yet. The dictator of N. Korea is crying that any sanctions will be considered an act of war. I say call the jerk's bluff. Sanctions seem to be the only way to shut this guy up and get it across his thick head. The world is not going to stand idly by while he (Kim Jong) plays wannabe Hitler and tries to build nukes. So yeah.. Enforce the sanctions and call it a day.

The human body is capable of many amazing feats if honed and trained right. The Shaolin monks of China were renown for their amazing fighting capabilities. The ninja of old Japan were supposedly impossible to hit because of their speed and agility. But what if a normal everyday human were suddenly to have amazing powers? Would we consider them freaks of nature or just extremely blessed? Who knows, maybe even as you read this you have realized that there are things different about you. If you?ve watched on nightly news interviews, parents who have lost a child could automatically sense something was wrong. Mothers who on sheer instinct have gotten into a dangerous situation and saved their loved ones with just sheer adrenaline. Its things like this that people call miraculous or a parent?s intuition. But what if it were something more? What if it was that moment in time that a person?s full potential was realized and awakened like a hungry beast? What would that person do? Good deeds or acts of pure evil? ?Yeah mom.. I know? Dammit! No, not you mom. Its these damn morons on the expressway out of Manhattan. Yeah, I?ll see you after work.? Aaron said as he hung up his cell phone. He had just left his classes at NYU and was heading towards his job at a lawyers? office. He had just gotten off his exit and was sitting at the intersection waiting for the light to turn green when a large truck came barreling down the exit ramp. It?s brakes were squealing even as it was trying to stop. Aaron knew what was going to happen, he was either going to get plastered to the next car or worse. He couldn?t move his car at all so he tried to reach for his phone and dial 911 as quickly as possible but it was too late. The truck connected with the rear of his car. Aaron closed his eyes and waited. He could feel the car jostle around him and hear the shattered glass hitting something. He slowly opened his eyes and he saw that the glass shards were hitting a barrier around him and falling to the floor. When the paramedics arrived they checked Aaron over and couldn?t find anything wrong with him even though by all possible reason he should have been thrown from the car and killed. But for some unknown reason he was still alive. ?I swear, there was a barrier around me! I didn?t??? Aaron resigned himself to stop trying explain what had happened and instead remained silent. Though he knew there was something strange and yet amazing about him. Name Age Gender Occupation Bio Personality Home City and Current Residence Powers/Abilities Good luck heroes! Okay, I live in Kansas. If you haven't heard of Kansas its the wonderful state that wants schools to teach creationism instead of evolution. Now we also have some jerkwad named Fred Phelps who lives here and pickets everything. He is a homophob. Unfortunately wiki has an article on him and I will post it so you can get a general idea on this guy. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fred_Phelps This guy has picketed funerals of a lot of people. Now here he has started picketing funerals of fallen soldiers and such. But recently, just now tonight on the local ten o'clock news I hear that he was going to go picket the funerals of those poor Amish children for no apparent reason! How crazy is that?! To me its pure evil. My question is do you have any whackjobs similar to this where you live? If so please share and discuss.

Congress Passes Detainee Interrogation Bill
Domon replied to Retribution's topic in General Discussion
Oi ve. I am totally sickened by this act by the government of the United States. I mean yeah, I'm a citizen and such but I am sickened that our president is actually passed a bill saying "hey look at us! we don't have to obey the Geneva Convention's articles! We can torture anyone we think is a terrorist!" It just goes to show that some of the policticians are not going, "Hey, wait a minute. This isn't right we can't let him do this to people." Him referring to the president. I honestly think that Bush should be impeached for some of the crap he's been pulling. I mean jeez, this government is supposedly run by the people. We should have the right to say "The president is overstepping his power he should be impeached for his acts." Of course what do I know? I think I'm just rambling.... Or am I?? >_> -
I agree. This was a horrible and just evil act of violence. However there had been reports of a sixteen-year-old boy who was with the criminal when he took some of the girls but was kicked out of the room. He was interviewed by the Today Show the day after the shooting. However his mother came forward to the media saying that her son had in fact lied. He had not been there with the girls but he in fact had wanted to be there. Matt Lauer that day that they said the boy lied said "The Generous side of me wants to believe that he didn't mean any harm. But the not-so-generous side of me thinks that what he did was a dispicable act and can't be forgiven." I tend to agree with the second half of what Lauer said. I mean he lied, how wrong is that?

Okay, basically I have nothing but basic channels. So I have NBC, PBS, CBS, FOX, and ABC. I've seen this running thing that NBC has done many many many times over. Its kind of getting annoying. I mean yes they are alerting the masses to what's going on but does it always have to be on the basic channels? Frankly I'm just sick of that timeslot getting hogged up by oh look how many offenders we caught. Now I'm not getting angry with the police or the groups that stop these sickos. I'm just sick of the news always airing. Find something else to report on.

Okay this game is slightly under the radar considering that the company that made this interesting title made a Japan only game named Magic Vacation for the GBA. I was readng my monthly Game Informer and was reading some of the specifics. Take Harry Potter and have him go into space basically. You're searching for someone/something (can't exactly tell you because I'm at a friend's house.) But you visit different planets and they affect how you fight in your random encounters and boss fights. Like say one might raise your physical attacks and weaken your magic powers etc. So it changes how you strategize basically. The company that made it Brownie Brown are some former employees of Square Enix. So I hope that this new little installment might be interesting when it comes out in October, being slated for the 23 is pretty awesome. What are your thoughts? Cael felt like that Ogarn was sending them on a fools errand. If there was only one Entari then why wasn't there a mad scramble by all the temples to get ahold of this person?! What if this Entari was already a priest who was devoted to only one god? What if... The questions kept pouring into Cael's mind. It was overwhelming, "Cael, do you know what this means?" Bahamut asked with a tinge of excitement. "Yes. A really big headache." Cael grumbled mentally to his aeon. The dragon however chuckled and seemed a lot more excited. Cael stood up and excused himself from Ogarn and Malphris. He then headed to the master summoner's library. It was rather large and Cael knew there were some books t hat he might need to study over, mainly some of the other race's customes and behavior. When he found the book he was looking for he sat down in a hardwood chair at a large oak table. "Do you think this Entari is of another race?" Bahamut asked as he peered over Cael's shoulders. "Possibly. I honestly don't know so I guess in your words 'Better safe than sorry.' Are the best course." Cael said as he leafed through the first chapter which covered the drawrves. After about five or so minutes Cael gave up and shut the book and started sifting through other books that he thought that the group would need on the journey ahead, "You know, that since you are a summoner you do get some sort of special treatment with all races." Bahamut said but Cael shrugged it off. "I think a low profile would be best for us. I don't want to have to call upon you all the time. That's why I think we should at least try to get as much information gathered as possible." Cael said without turning to face his aeon. After awhile he had accumulated a pile of books and carried them back down to the study.

Personally I think censorship is taken to an extreme now these days. I mean have you recently looked at what books people are wanting to ban from libraries etc? I'll name a few. -The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn -Harry Potter -To Kill A Mockingbird And countless others. People want a book like Tom Sawyer banned from libraries?! All because it uses the N word in it. Now some people might find it offensive but consider this. The book was written in the 1800s, the N word was used quite commonly then, the author was from Missouri a slave state. People are wanting Harry Potter banned because it talks about Witch Craft and such and yet people go to see magic shows and such in freaking Las Vegas!! Personally I see things like this, TV, Music, etc in this retrospect. Look into the aforementioned, if it is too vulgar for you or you don't like it. Don't expose your kids or yourself to it but don't take away from the rest of society.

After Cael finished purchasing replacement items for the ones he had given to the man he saved on the road Cael headed out back into the busy streets of Torikarn. When he retrieved his horse Cael set out to his former master's residence. Hooves clopping along the cobblestones, Cael passed by the Dragon's Nest Inn. As he did Bahamut appeared to him, "Should I go on ahead and see if I can see anything?" The dragon asked as if there were some sort of danger. Cael shook his head and the dragon snorted slightly and flicked his tail. Cael could feel it too, something was amiss. He didn't like it at all. Cael called forth his sais and hid them underneath his robe's sleeves. The warmth from the weapons gave the summoner some slight comfort as he edged his horse on as they neared the edge of town. Once Cael was out of town he got the horse into a full gallop. The speed kicked up loose dirt and the horse snorted as it ran at its full potential. Cael wanted to get to Ogarn's house as quickly as his steed would allow. The air seemed more tense as he got closer to Ogarn's residence. "Cael, can you not feel it? Something is seriously amiss." Bahamut said as he appeared to be "flying" next to Cael and his horse. "I know Bahamut. Its really pissing me off. I'm getting really frustrated at the fact that I don't know what this presence." Cael said as he slid one of his sais down his arm and into his hand. When the horse came upon Ogarn's house Cael stopped it and jumped off. As he did so he called Bahamut into the physical world. The dragon appeared and started to survey the area and lifted off into the air slightly to survey the fields. "Dammit I don't see anything. Where is everyone? Where is Ogarn?!" Bahamut said with a note of annoyence in his voice. It wasn't like the dragon to lose his cool but with something like this Cael almost expected it considering how alike they tended to act. As Cael approached the front door he had both of his weapon's Ta'Zo out and at the ready. Bahamut had landed and was growling enough to be heard. At that moment Ogarn opened the door and Cael nearly fell backwards. "Oh-ho! Cael! What excellent timing! Come! Come! Inside, and your Aeon may come inside too, but you may want to dismiss him and then resummon him." Cael did and walked inside. Once he was inside he called his aeon back. "Please Ogarn. What is going on and where are your apprentices?!" Bahamut asked. Cael had been about to ask that but his aeon had beaten him to the punch. Ogarn motioned for them to follow him into the main sitting room. Cael had Bahamut stand outside the door so he could still listen. "All right Cael, I'll tell you once my apprentices return from town." Both Cael and Bahamut snorted at this in annoyance and got settled down for a long wait.

Cael had been sitting on a log eating on a piece of bread that he had bought at the market two days ago in Freeport. At least it had kept somewhat but it was starting to go stale. As he sat eating he watched his horse grazing on some grass a few feet away. "You're not going to get far by just sitting and eating Cael." The familiar throaty voice said. Cael turned to his left and looked his Aeon dead straight in its dragon eyes. "You know, I'm just trying..." "Trying to keep up your strength.. That is getting slightly old Cael. If you want to see Master Ogarn soon then we must hurry. I have a bad feeling about this journey." Bahamut said as his wings twitched slightly. The dragon was right, something did not seem quite right. The people he had encountered so far on the way to Torikarn seemed different. Cael quickly finished his bread and strapped his travel bag back onto the horse's saddle, mounted the horse and took off at a gallop. As Cael rode the horse down the dirt road he saw a group of bandits harassing a family. The father was being beaten on by three of the bandits while the other two were holding the rest of the family hostage. A sixth one though was looking for treasure. Cael stopped his horse, climbed off, and strode towards the bandits. "Cael. Be careful, you don't know what they could do." Bahamut warned in Cael's head. " I know, they could kill one of those people. That is why.." Cael said in his head as he focused on summoning the dragon into the physical plane. When the dragon became a physical manifestation he let loose a roar that made the air vibrate and caused the bandits to scream in fear and run off, "I summoned you. You always have a way with people." Cael said as he walked towards the familiy and helped the father up. The child stared at the dragon in awe. "Thank you kind sir. I assume you're a summoner due to how that massive dragon appeared near you in an instant." Cael nodded at the remark and dismissed Bahamut with a nod. "I'm Phineas. My wife, my son, and I are from Torikarn but we are headed for Freeport. Something queer brews in our home city. Everyone seems on edge. If you're headed that way please practice some caution and keep that creature of yours at bay for the time being." "Thank you Phineas, I will. Here take some of my supplies, I noticed that those bandits ruined some of your food and water." Cael said as he handed the man one of his unopened bags of food and water canteens. The man thanked Cael and they started their cart down the road to Freeport. Cael on the other hand started back on his way to Torikarn. When he arrived he noticed that the atmosphere of the city seemed to be off. Like there was some sort of force behind it. It wasn't like a physical presence, but instead more like a mental thing, "Cael be careful I feel something as well. I suggest you keep your weapons concealed for the time being until we are at Master Ogarn's." Cael agreed mentally and led his horse towards the market area. He would need to re-stock his supplies now. As he roamed the market he caught glances given in his direction. They were usually glances of fear and despair. Something was definetly wrong. As he clamored through to a food stand he noticed that a lot of the food was not that great looking. Cael managed to rummage through it and find some good things. He paid for the food and headed for the bakery. The bread was a different story it was fresh and better looking than the vegetables. After he paid for the bread Cael started talking with the baker about things. Mainly what was going on. "No one knows either. Its just this queer gut feeling everyone's got. Like an impending doom is fast approaching." Cael left the baker with those words stuck in his head. "I think we should leave now and head to Ogarn's. But I would like to see if I can find a few more things for our journeys." Cael mentally thought as he started down towards a trade shop. ooc: sorry if I ended too abruptly, I just couldn't think of a decent way to stop. >_

Name: Cael Age: 26 Appearance: Cael stands about 6' 2" with shoulder-length sandy brown hair, he has light brown skin, hazel colored eyes, and a muscular build. He usually wears a white robe, much like a priest. The fabric though looks like its made from dragon scales. Under that he wears a dark blue tunic with gold trim. He also wears pitch black pants and black boots. Race: Human Alignment: Chaotic Good Profession: Summoner Unknown: Ta' Zo The blades have flames carved into them and the handles are bound with red leather with gold trim on the edges, the pommels are blood-red rubies. The blades tend to appear on fire if seen in the right light and tend to always be warm even in the coldest of weather. If kept close to one's body, just one weapon is enough to keep a person's body warm. Aeon: Bahamut One of the most powerful dragons known. He appears and blasts the enemy with his powerful Mega Flare or he'll tear the enemy apart with his immense claws. The mighty dragon first came to Cael in dreams and illusions. At first the boy thought that he was going crazy. Then finally in one dream the dragon explained what was happening to the boy and that he meant no harm. In fact he wanted to aid the young boy, and so the two became friends. Bahamut was able to share some things like being aware of one's surroundings, and how to percieve things to a greater degree, and how to talk your way out of a situation if it allows, and to always keep up your end of the bargin no matter what. Though the dragon knew what he was talking about Cael would not listen most of the time until one day when Cael was 17 he was out in the plains he was suddenly attacked by some powerful beasts. The boy quickly called forth his Aeon but when Bahamut tried to give the boy some advice, Cael quickly ignored him and started in on his own until he was injured. Cael quickly realized that his Aeon was right and he listened to the dragon and was able to beat the monsters with the advice from his Aeon. From then on the two have had a relationship that seems almost on another level. When they speak to each other they tend to finish each other's sentences. While the dragon may seem like he knows a lot he does not acknoledge a gray area. Its strictly black and white, good and evil, bluffing or not. This however is like most dragons and tends to get them into trouble. This is what Cael hopes to help Bahamut in learning. That there are gray areas in the realm of good and evil and so on. Deity: Vrolisk. Cael worships the dragon goddess because she is the one who set the creation of everything into motion. He believes that she deserves her respects. Background: Cael grew up in a family of lower nobles. They were wealthy, but as wealthy as a majority of the nobles. It was always this way because his family, like him worshipped the Dragon Goddess Vrolisk. A lot of the people disagreed with their philosophies and they were considered noble outcasts. When Cael turned sixteen he realized that he might be a summoner. When he revealed this to his parents he was sent to Orgam's school to learn of how to be a summoner. On his twenty-fifth birthday he was told by his master that he was no longer an apprentice but a full fledged summoner. With that Cael set off on his own adventure. Though he still checks in on his master from time to time. At the current time he is visiting Orgam to catch up on old times and see how some of the new students are doing.
