There is NO correct spelling of anyone's name... why? Because it's quite simple... unless it's way off there is no correct spelling... Gokou and Gokuh are essentially the same...

Japanese is a language based on speaking, unlike english which is based on writing... everything that is written in Japanese is based on sylables used to pronounce it when speaking.

Then you have to go through the crap of Romanji (which means Romanize) which is when you take something written in Kanji, Hiragana, or Katakana and make it into roman letters like we write with...

thus if it's based on speaking, different letters in Romanji can be used to create a sound... lets take Gokou for example..

Go-Ku is the sound... in romanji ti could spelled Gokou, Goku, Gokuh, Gokoo, etc. They are ALL correct because, like I said, it's based on speaking and all of those words I wrote above are pronoucned the EXACT same way

And then, you have to occomodate into English what the Japanese mean... esspecially using Katakana.... thats foriegn words japanese use...

For example: Kiss.... that is a foriegn word the Japanese use... there is no Japanese word for kiss.... so what do they do? they write it like this: KI-SU... since it's all based off of sylabals and every sylable has a consinant then vowel sound (excluding "N") you have to add the vowel when speaking in Japanese... BUT if you were to translate someone saying KISU in Japanese, you would just say Kiss.... and they would understand what you were saying....

Also the letters we used in English are not the same for Japanese.... take "L" for example... they use "R" in it's place... and instead of "V" they use "B"... but when they say "Bejita" that tranlates to "Vegita"... because it's written in Katakana... alot of the time you have to look at the word in it's written to form to find it's meaning.... alot of words in Kanji are the same but have different Kanji depending on it's meaning... unlike in English where "read" (reed) and "read" (red) are spelled the same but have different meanings, the Japanese would have two different kanji, and two different words for that too.

In conclution, there is no wrong or right spelling as long as you end up prnnouncing the same think... whether it be Buruma or Bulma.... it's still the same thing... it is pronounced the same way to a Japanese person.... thus there is no correct or incorrect spelling when it comes to Romanji....

Kakarotto and Kakaroto are the same...
Bejita and Bejiita are the same
etc...

Same goes for spaces in words.... Japanese don't use spaces... AT ALL.... so to add one or take one away means nothing in a word.... it's the same if I were to write Kaio-sama as it would be to write Kaiosama or Kaio sama....

Arigatou Gozaimasu is the same as Arigatougozaimasu... see?

like transtic said earlier, there is'nt really any correct spelling for anyone's names, lets take vegita for example....

vegeta
vegita
vegiita
vejita
vejiita
begita
begeta
bejita
bejiita

see all the different spelling for it? there is no real way of spelling anyone's name....

so it doesn't matter if we spell it "saiyan" or "saiya-jin"?
Not really really.... Saiya-jin actually means "Ape-person" in Japanese... hence why they use it... while to Americans, Saiyan means nothing.... but I suppose Saiyan would be the American way to pronounce Saiya-jin

And Shadow, I don't care....
