I will write the pm, check the box to keep a copy in my sent folder and though I get a message telling me that the pm was sent successfully the person I send it to gets a really old message instead of the new one and the message I sent doesn?t show up in my sent folder like they usually do. I tried testing it with a friend today and she got a pm I sent to her back in December instead of the new one I sent. In fact, every pm she?s gotten from me in the last week has been older pm?s instead of the current one I just sent. And so far not a single one that I have sent has shown up in my sent box making me wonder if each and every pm has been lost. Is there a problem with the pm?s? I've found that every pm that it says was sent successfully but didn't show up in my sent box, was not recieved by the person I sent it to. Instead they get a pm I sent a long time ago, just like indifference was talking about. Though unlike indifference some of mine are being recieved. I sent one to indifference today and she got it just fine, but when she sent a new one to me I got an older pm that she sent back in December. I still haven't gotten the new one. So some of mine are going through and others are not. >_< So are the pm's just delayed? It's kind of frustrating since I don't want to keep sending the pm if it's eventually going to arrive. When my friends try to send me a new one I get an old one instead! It tells me that the pm is new but it's a really old one that I deleted over six months ago! I got one that was orginally sent back on 6-30-2005! I checked with my friend and that was not the message that she sent me. >_< It's not the first time either. I thought perhaps it was just a bug, but it's been doing it for several days now and I've yet to recieve any of the new pm's that were sent to me. In fact my friends had to use e-mail instead since I haven't gotten any of their recent pm's lately. I keep getting an older pm that I deleted every time they try to send me a new one. I'm unaffected and many of my friends are unaffected but I ran into 5 different sites this morning alone that had this error message on their site. Notice: Query failed: Can't open file: 'stats.MYI'. I got two messages within the span of two weeks, both from January. Then I got a copy of a message from January, and one from last year! This has been going on for several weeks for me, maybe more. Only on three days did I get normal messages - that was the third, the tenth, and the eleventh of this month. And then it died again! So I give up for now. I have a question - I had a button and banner of mine that have been showing up for a long time, but now they won't appear. (All the other stuff does.) I tried retyping the codes, repasting in the profile, re-DOING the profile, but they still aren't showing up. Help, please! I want them to work! Note: They're not the only button and banner on my site - I have three other buttons for my friends and one other banner for a friend. Does that have anything to do with it, even though I've had all three buttons up for almost a year? I changed buttons for my two friends, but the code was the same, and the second banner is only a few months or so old. Would that have anything to do with it for whatever reason? The PM sent box is very similar to that of the "Sent" box with most email programs. It gives you a record of what you have sent. If it shows up in the sent box that means that the message has been sent. I just started a new myotaku account since my last one my password had been randomly changed and I couldn't get a response that could help me get my account back. That's fine. So I make a new one. Now it won't let me attach it to my otakuboards account. Do I just have bad luck or what? Or did they not fix this bug already? Because I remember people talking about this happening before, but all it says is "Error, contact the administrator" which hasn't helped me much in the past. Help anyone? If the current connection info was cleared out of your OB profile, however, I think it should let the new connection go through.
