The story is so powerful already even in only the first chapter, and all I could think of at the end was that I wanted to read more! The most impressive thing to me in this is how you dictate so clearly the difference between a [I]genius[/I] and a [I]person.[/I] There are many times in which an author will attempt to get that across to the audience, but rarely do they ever succeed in such a manner as you did. The imagery is also outstanding, and the narration by Itachi is so...effective. One feels as if they have been placed exactly behind his eyes, watching his own life. It's brilliant the way that you've blended the essence of the child with the parts of the adult. I am constantly drawn back to this story again and again, because I cannot believe how perfectly it embodies what I would think of Itachi. The amount of thought put into Itachi's character development is obvious. There are encounters that I've never even considered prior to reading this fanfic that now seem almost [I]vital[/I] to Itachi's growth as a person. That is the mark of great writing, I think, when the work captures the very being of a character and runs with it. I don't even know who Itachi is, but from reading your story he has instantly become my favorite Naruto charachter! I love the narration, the way the story is told, some of the lines were brilliant and memorable, and I love how Itachi puts his emotions into words. I cannot wait for chapter 5!
