BondFanatic Posted December 1, 2001 Posted December 1, 2001 Has anyone heard about George Harrison dying? (Just in case you didn't know who he was, he was one of the Beatles.) My mom's feeling sad about it because she's a big fan of the Beatles. Sigh... There's only two left: Ringo Starr and Sir Paul McCartney. John Lennon was killed by a fanatic bastard (Mark Chapman). George Harrison, we will all remember you. 1943-2001.
NeoCactuar Posted December 1, 2001 Posted December 1, 2001 I know, i was pretty shocked when i heard the news.
Fall Posted December 1, 2001 Posted December 1, 2001 I never heard about this! well, what a shock.......
BabyGirl Posted December 1, 2001 Posted December 1, 2001 I agree, it is indeed very sad. My mom was also upset about it...and George was oh so cute in his early Beatle days... What's great about him is that he was such a passifist. He took the beliefs of Eastern religion, passifism, and the belief in God as a higher power, and combined them to create one beautifully-souled man. He shall be greatly missed, and wonderfully remembered.
PiroMunkie Posted December 1, 2001 Posted December 1, 2001 Aw crap.. I didn't know that and that just plain old sucks. The Beatles, a good band, 'tis a shame... :(
Transtic Nerve Posted December 1, 2001 Posted December 1, 2001 heard about it this morning.... I dunno if it's that big a shock... i mean, the Beatles aren't immortal or anything... great things shall all pass eventually.
nitsuj Posted December 1, 2001 Posted December 1, 2001 i've been hearing about it all day, ever since i went to school this morning. it is sad but its getting old. the news just keeps pushing things alot and it gettings to be annoying, even stuff like the twin towers was talked about to much. it was worse when they showed the people jumping from the buildings on the news, that just made me sick to my stomach. im in my dark place now.
gundamcat17 Posted December 1, 2001 Posted December 1, 2001 Well i was already three hours into my shift when the news broke and was quite shocked me and a customer talked about it for a while over all i would say it was a great loss to the communities of music,religion,human... he will be missed
Lady Macaiodh Posted December 1, 2001 Posted December 1, 2001 but, on the bright side, the radio has been playing the beatles non-stop for two days... that sounded kind of mean. i'm very sorry that he's dead.
SSJ5 Vegeta Posted December 1, 2001 Posted December 1, 2001 It didn't really come as that big of a shock to me. Like Transtic said, nothing lasts forever. Once again another example of why I hate cancer.
