Art Pad Picture Chain

In 2004, a member here at OtakuBoards named Lady Asphyxia created a thread called the Art Pad Picture Chain. Unfortunately, it only lasted a total of two months.

It was a creative way of mixing art and writing together. One person would use Art Pad to paint a picture. The next person to post would reply to that post with a short paragraph of writing about that piece and then post their own Art Pad Picture.

It was a lot of fun, and so, since we have so many more talented artists here at OtakuBoards I think it will go on for a long while. So, I'll start.

You can view my picture here. The next person to post will post a narrative description of my painting (it can be an action, talking about surrounding's, person's thoughts, etc) and then post their own painting.

Wow... I remember that thread from one of my previous incarnations. Never posted in it mind you, but hey. I really am terrible at writing for these kind of things, but I think I'll give it a go anyway.

"The sand, the sea, the gentle breeze... it's always the same. They say that's the beauty of it... to each his own, I s'pose. But today it's different, look - something new! A shell, all for me! What... you wanna see?

Tough luck, it's mine."

A moment in the mind of a greedy, bored crustacean. Feel inspired? If not, I did warn you... :cross:

Whoo! Someone brought the thread back! I remember the thread, although I never took part.

The sun broke over the horizon and my darkness disappeared. I could finally feel the chill of the night fade away to be replaced with the warmth of the day. The darkness would finally retreat and give way for the day. I could possibly find my solitude in the sun after all...

And so the thread keeps going...here's my pic! This

Go White for making the thread!

Gah! I remember the old one too... it's how I found out about ArtPad. Never bothered to post.

"Until that day, dull though my life was, I was happy. I would graze, nap, be milked, graze some more... a simple existence. But alas, it was not meant to last. It turns out Tornado Alley isn't such a good spot for a farm. I'll see you in cow heaven."

"That day... I was looking at my hand. I was looking at my life line. It was so close, I could almost feel my body, quiting on me. That day, I died from a heart attack."

[I don't believe in life line, love line, etc.]

I couldn't think of anything better :p

THIS is mine.

I like this one more :p

Okay, that was the first that came to my mind.

This is my reflection. My painful past, my happy memories, my thoughts, my ideas.... my everything. Sometimes I feel as though I am nobody when I see my reflection. I wanted to be someone else and not become a boring person. But then I realized that I was special and different from everyone else....

....and then... I died.

It was something that I thought fit it. :P

I looked up to the sky. There was a cloud. Then I saw another one! The flowers around me started blooming again. The river below started rushing with water for the first time in a while. My planet was coming back to life for the first time in two scores.

I didn't mean for you to post that, Black. >.>

Normally I'd go all mean-bean on your butt, Nightmare. However, considering the picture... I'll let it slide. _o_

I'd also like to take this time to mention that you shouldn't really put words in the art, as it kind of takes away from the whole idea of the person writing a paragraph about the picture. :whoops:

That, sir, rhymes in a special poetic way. Say it out loud.

...When I see God, I see a lonely child. Loneliness is a dark precipice, a parasitic void that continuously eats away at the soul... So instead of seeing an omnipotent, jealous, powerful being, I find instead a desperate, little child in need of companionship and nurturing. But instead of being consumed by darkness, He found a set of pastels. How lucky we are, since He knows how dangerous the darkness is - so instead, He gives us a baby-step, giving us white paper to start with instead of black.

This takes absolutely forever, so don't watch the whole thing...I just really couldn't make up my mind is all...and couldn't decide which buttons to use. =_=;;

I'll be sure to do that from now on.

"I'm just a fish, in need of some help. Someone tried to eat me :'( I excaped from Alcatraz! Now my tooth hurts. They even started scaling me :( Someone! Someone! Please help me!"

Hmm, does there acually have to be something in the picture?
I think mine would acually be 'art' but I'm not sure.

I guess it is for you to make a discription of it :p

Good luck...

Edit: I'm going to put the name of the painting there :p

on Hanabishi Recca 's painting: it looked like a bunch of ants got bored and decided to make more openings for their colony.

or there's a bunch of bulletholes in a shed, then somebody spat on it.

but I feel there is a strong religous presence. It could be God watching over us.

ok try to put this together.

not that one this one.

it was painted to the last sunrise[dusk mix] by aiden and the outsider[Resident Renholder mix] by a perfect circle.

I hope you like it.

it took quite awhile, cos I couldnt think and I was bored, either you just and watch it unfold / watch it unfold quickly [by setting speed silder to fast] or fast forward to the end.
