OOC: Sorry if anything's wrong, feel free to let me know for changes since I'm winging it and I haven't had time to read the rest of the thread yet.

As Kain was lead through the hallways of the ship, the alarms started blaring and there was suddenly a rush of crew members as they hurried about getting to their stations. He raised his head and watched as they pushed their way through. He wanted to follow and go see what the problem was, but the guards kept a firm grip on him, pushing him forward toward the destination.

He finally entered a room where a high ranking officer stood. The woman looked at Kain sharply and frowned, looking at the handcuffs that restrained him.

"What's going on? Is the ship being attacked?!" Kain demanded.

"Who is this?" the officer questioned.

"One of the prisoners assigned to the ship." one of his guards spoke shortly, not wanting to talk to a woman.

The two guards pushed Kain forward before leaving the room without another word.

"So, what was your crime?"

"How can you be so calm when there's an emergency?!"

The doors opened again and more guards and another prisoner entered. Kain stared at the woman, recognising her immediately.

"Naydine, you got assigned here too?"

"Yeah, didn't expect to see you here."

"Fraternization." the officer sneered, answering her own question after seeing how friendly the two were.

Kain glared at her, "If it's a battle, I demand you release us and let us help."

"And who are you to be making demands?"

"We're fighters, we can help." Naydine insisted.

The officer contemplated before undoing their cuffs, telling them making their way to the hangar was their own problem. The two of them didn't care, they took off running down the hallways, weaving between the frantic people. It took them some time before they finally arrived at the hangar where several pilots took off in their volkers.

"What's around to pilot?" Naydine asked a techie that was about to run past.

"Basic model volkers." was his answer before he ran off to do what was needed, casting glances back as he didn't recognise them from being assigned to the ship.

"Basic models?! You'd think a ship like this would have better volkers to use." Kain grumbled, running over where they were parked.

"I guess each proper pilot has their own specialised volker while back-ups get basics." Naydine rolled her eyes, getting into the simple plane looking machine.

Kain started up the model, flicking switches and checking all the statistics for it. It was mediocre at best and wasn't fit to fight against strong enemies.

The two launched as soon as they could, taking off into space to see an army of small robots and a group of Volkers fighting.

Kain hit the thrusters and rapidly fired lasers at one of the small robots as he flew past. The small metal creature exploded briefly.

"Who are they?"

"Are they back up?"

They could hear the pilots talking over the intercomm between ships. They were unknown to the ship since they had just arrived and would obviously be making the other pilots wary of whose side they were on.

"Basic Volker 1, Kain Mason."

Naydine swooped past, blowing up a couple of small robots.

"Basic Volker 2, Naydine Realieu."

The two of them left out all details, including the fact that they were prisoners for supposedly conspiring against their home planets by co-existing with the opposite gender.

"Is there a way to get our personal Volkers here ASAP?" Kain radioed the Obsession, not wanting to fight in the junk he was piloting.

"We have reports that they are currently being transported, leaving not long after you left your planets." was the report, a little unsure since they weren't officially assigned to the ship.

"Let us know as soon as they arrive." Naydine cut the line, concentrating on the battle.

It was another half an hour of battle before their intercomms beeped, opening the link to the ship informing them of the arrival of their Volkers. They grinned and pushed their thrusters to max, racing back to the dock.

The two pilots jumped out of the basic models as soon as they could, slapping hands as they ran past one another to get to their personal Volkers.

Kain rode the pulley system up to the cockpit, turning on the OS and smiling at the ease that he operated the machine at. After thoroughly checking the OS and system for anything that could have happened between when he had last piloted the Volker to present, he piloted it toward the exit, taking off easily and spreading Freedom's wing's proudly as he properly joined the fight, with Naydine in VKM-002 behind him.

Axel looked worried as he heard the women speak on the intercom. Already they were going into battle? He looked around and saw everyone stir. Everyone was panicking including him. He wasn?t sure he was mentally ready for battle. He had to do something soon; seen people panic like this is annoying.

Axel ran to the hangar seen as the rest of the girl Volker fighters heading the same direction. He guessed this wasn?t time to play around. He was amazed how quickly the woman made up their mind to go ahead and fight. Was he the only coward among the Volker fighters? It seemed the woman had warrior spirits, something he was ashamed he never had.

As he went to the hangar and he was the women jump into their Volkers. Allen jumped into whichever was left. He looked around the cockpit. The Volker he was stuck with was a space craft type. He put on the ear piece he found, turned on the computer system, and flick on some switches. As he checked the database this craft had two snipers systems on the head of the ship. Axel made an actual smile content with what he has right now.

All rifle ammo was loaded. He turned the communication system on, he hoped for comfort from a male voice. Everything was green and set to go. The cockpit closed and Axel slowly prepared himself. He wasn?t sure he could hand his life over to four women. For this battle it was every human for them selves.

?I can?t do it, I can?t do it?.? Axel slowly repeated to himself.

?Volker fighter launch?

?At least?at least I have a seat at the docs?? Axel whispered as his Volker launched into the battlefield.

The way his Volker was designed he was only good for the sidelines. Enemies seemed weak but many. Allen clutched his ship control. He could do so little for this battle. He thought if the women were willing to fight, he had to do something. He had to do it for his male pride. Time to fire!

Lex patted Abelia on the back and went over to her Volker. Kaylee slid out from under it as she approached and nodded to Lex ?She?s all ready for ya?

?Thanks Kaylee.?

Lex pulled herself up and into her Volker and reacquainted herself with the layout of everything inside. This one wasn?t as shiny or new as the others, this was a custom job obviously done by someone who knew their machines.

She strapped herself in and shot her Volker out its designated port. Lex adjusted her microphone that was attached to the head gear.

?Volker 4 to field. Fighters, what are your positions??

The first to answer was a man?s voice. He sounded dejected and down right terrified. ?Volker 2, front of the battle. The way my fighter is designed? I could use some back up?

Lex took a deep breath and went into fighting mode. This was real. This is what she did, and a soldier was a soldier and an ally was an ally. Period.

?Watch my back, I?m coming in to take the brunt off you?

The radio went silent. She spotted his Volker as she rounded the edge of the main ship. He was right, he had guns but it seemed his shielding was weaker. Lex had a power ship, strong shields and decently big guns. She steered her fighter in to an angle in front of him and started cutting down the hundreds of small robots that were attacking them. Lex?s ship took some of the shots off of the other Volker and she focused back on the enemy in front of her...

Naydine and Kain zipped back and forth and took out as many enemies as they could. Naydine was relieved to be inside her own Volker model again, she hoped that by taking the opportunity to enter the fray of battle, she could escape unnoticed and avoid being confined to the ship's brig. She hadn't expect to be reunited with Kain either, they knew each other through the Bi-gendered colony the respective home planets discouraged. They started talking based on their common interest in mechanics, and kinda hit off an odd yet noticable friendship.

'A few more...then I'm outta here. Hell if I'm going to let them toss me in a prison and torture me...' Naydine thought to herself as she thrusted her Volker's Needle Cannon through the core of another robot.

As the Volker's began to deploy from the Obsession, some of the ship's crew members looked on and took notice to the unidentified mechs.

"Who the heck are those two?" one of the ships's navigators asked aloud.

"Are those the prisoners that were sent here in those transports before? What are they doing out in the field?" another one added.

Neron stood in place infront of a chair and thought to himself with his hand up to his chin.

"Prisoners eh, go ahead and alert Lex and Axel to make sure both of those Volkers get a personal escort back to the Obsession after the field clears. We wouldn't want them trying to escape now." he ordered, as private channels were opened up to the two volkers with their orders.

Back in the field, a channel between Kain and Naydine is opened.

"Nay, you don't intend on staying here do you?" Kain asked, clearing out a few more with his rail guns.

"No way! A prison on a giant battleship isn't exactly the most complimenting idea in the world. You getting out of here with me?" Naydine responded.

"Ha, like I want to be stuck in a cell myself. Let's just make sure we dont bite the dust before we can."

OOC~ Again, sorry for the late post :animeshy:

*~*

Yuri had been silent the whole time at the table, not really paying attenttion to the conversation, but rather continuing to study the thick pilot's manual. In between initially boarding the ship and dinner, he had only one opportunity to try his skills inside the pilot's sphere. He was nervous about this at first, but seeing as this wasn't a combat situation and all he had to do was guilde the ship out and set the auto-pilot, the whole processes seemed to go off without a hitch.

However, Yuri was still feeling a bit uneasy about the inevitible prospect of battle. In an attempt to ease his tension, Yuri was vigorusly going over his pilot's manual yet again. But his studies were interupted when the battle alarm sounded. Yuri dashed off from the mess hall towards the bidge, leaving his food and manual behind.

Yuri reached the pilot's sphere rather quickly compared to before, Heh, I guess I'm finally starting to find my way around this maze. He entered a small room that connected the sphere to the hall. Once inside, he stripped down and put his clothes and glasses in a basket then turned to enter the actual sphere. Well, it's now or never, he took a deep breath as he entered. The door closed behind him, completely enclosing the sphere. As he reached the center, the surface of the sphere began to glow and the gavity was disengaed, allowing Yuri to float up to the very center of the sphere.

Several screens appeared before him, one of which showed the enemy battle ship and the massive horde of robots heading strieght for the Obssesion. Instictively, Yuri raised his arms to face to shield himself. SHIELDS ACTIVATED, a mechanical voice rang out. "Huh?... Well that works... I guess."

Another screen displayed a computerized outline of the battle field, showing the Obessesion in the center, the Volkers as four green dots, and the enemy in red. He watched as the red specks began to vanish as the Volkers encountered them. Suddenly, two more green dots appeared. Yuri touched the screen where the dots were, opening up a channel link to those fighters. "You two, identify yourselves."

"Basic Volker 1, Kain Mason." A male's voice responded.

"Basic Volker 2, Naydine Realieu." This time a female. Yuri cringed slightly at the sound, but quickly let it go, as he had more pressing matters to deal with. He radioed the hanger.

"Who are these two extra fighters?"

"They are prinsoners that were just taken aboard the Obession shortly before battle," Xerinth, the ship's anylist, responded.

"If they're suposed to be prisonors, why are we letting them fight?"

"They asked if they could help, and we need all the help we can get out there." The connection was cut off. Yuri swore under his breath in frustration.

"I know, I don't like it either," now it was the captian patching through. "Just keep an eye on them, they may try to make a break for it during or after the battle."

"Okay," Yuri opened another link to the other Volker pilots. "Lex, Axel, make sure those two don't try anything funny."

"Okay," responded both pilots. But, while Lex seemed sure of herslf, Axel, on the other hand, seemed to lack confidence. What do you know? Some one on this ship is more nervous about this whole thing than I am.

"Relax, Axel, You're doing fine. I've been watching the whole battle from here. And don't worry, I'll warn you before you can get stuck in a sticky spot."

"Okay," he still seemed unsure, but there was nothing more Yuri could tell him. He let out a sigh This whole thing just got a lot more complicated.

Axel gripped his controls tight. Lex was in the front fighting destroying as any enemies as she could. Axel fired from the back of battle having only a sniper system. Lex held well on her own cutting down enemies that advanced to the front. Axel fired trying to cover give her cover. As his Volker was designed he needed backup. His Volker was specifically for back position battles, as it was long ranged weapon and very little shielding. The Volker design wasn?t designed to take hits but to stay in a safe distance.

That?s one mistake Axel had already made. Axel was way to close to enemy lines. The first day and he already made one mistake that can total his Volker. He had to move away some how?

?Volker fighter 4?.do you hear me?? Axel slowly spoke.

?I read you Volker fighter 2? Lex quickly responded

?I need to take position?..farther away from battle. My Volker can not take much damage. I would be a lot useful if my sniper had a better range?.? Axel spoke

Lex felt silent for a minute. Then spoke ?I trust that you will not leave battle, take position in the back. I will cover you??

Axel whispered ?Shouldn?t you say that to the prisoner Volkers??

Hearing Lex voice send shivers down Axel spine. He still not use to the higher pitched voice of a women. Axel sighed, already they thought cowardly of him. Everyone he has talked to during this battle has been telling Axel to relax, this extremely annoyed him. Did he really sound that nervous that people was worried? Anyone would to be nervous to quickly enter battle. Yet not Lex?..he felt a since of admiration. Axel scrounged his face at the very thought of it.

Axel gripped his control and set of to the back of the battle. He had to get a safe distance; he didn?t want to make extreme repairs. No, that would be too bothersome. When he finally got into a proper snipping distance he smiled happy he got there safely. Yet he notice Lex was taking a bit of damage covering him.

?Okay, Volker fighter 2 positioned. Ready for snipping?? Axel said.

As he hit his first fire he felt some confidence within him. He was able to shot down a lot more enemies down from his position. He felt as though he had some control over his scared situation. He hoped he was a lot more help to the rest of the Volker fighters now?.

"What the..." October muttered under her breath as she ran through the halls. She had already made two wrong turns. "This ship, men must have helped design it or something." She muttered again running and opening a door. The Volker hanger stood before her practically empty of all other Volkers, but her eyes instantly locked on hers as she jumped down the stairs.

Her Volker was down on one knee, waiting for it's pilot to bring it to life. October all but bounded into the cockpit, an easier feat for her compaired to most pilots due to the unusual placement of the cockpit, on the front of the waist.

Quickly October flipped on the neccesary switches, the screens slowly began to glow with life. This wasn't a long process, but for some reason this always seemed to take forever, at least to October. Though the main visual flipped on revealing the hanger from a slightly different view.

"Shall we go catch up now." October smiled dangerously, launching from the hangar.

She reached the front of the battle quickly, if her fighter had anything going for it, it was speed and agility. Extending two sword blades from the Volker's forearms she extended the mech's arms out, taking down two of the small robots. "A classic case of quanity over quality, they must have been designed by men too." October spoke flipping underneath another robot and bringing her blade up into it.

"Oh by the way sorry I'm late, I swear a man must have designed the interior, the hall structure makes no sense at all, not to mention the way it looks."

?That?s alright Volker 3, welcome to the battle front. Sweep the front, then I suggest sweeping the sides and making sure none of the robots have landed on the ship and sawing through the metal plates.?

?Good deal, you alright??

?Yeah, my shields are holding fine, the battles damn near over anyway.?

?Alright, I?m out?

Lex turned her full attention back to the battle. Things were defiantly in their favor. She took that opportunity to look around for the two prisoners. They were behind her to the right.

?Volker 2, see the two we?re supposed to bring in??

?Yeah, wow their fighters are worse than mine.?

He sounded like he was getting some confidence. ?Move in close behind them. They try to jump and we gotta be ready to stop them.?

?ok?

Lex pushed her fighter out more so she could easily block them should they attempt an escape and still protect the ship.

Abelia worried her fingernails raw as she was told to report to the Volker fighters. She had everyone else?s safety riding on her and the other?s hands. And if she made one wrong move, it could be the end of her life.

?I can?t think like that! She said, shaking her head and gripping the slightly-bleeding fingertips tightly into her palm. She was strong, she could do what others could not, that?s why she was chosen. And even if it wasn?t the sole reason, it was still one of those. She nodded to herself and set off at a sprint to the Volker fighter bay, her heels clacking on the metallic floor.

She slid into the bay and looked around. In the corner, almost hidden in shadow, lay a Volker - a mech style, not a ship fighter style- that seemed almost forgot and abandoned. It had a blackness to it that radiated forth, and seemed to envelop Abelia. She was irresistibly drawn to it, and her feet carried her faithfully to it.

She studied the outside of the cockpit for a moment before running at the bar to help hoist her up, using the momentum and inertia in function to fling herself into the open cockpit, sitting at the controls and flicking on the switches., activating the harnesses. They slid in and around her, keeping her secure in place as she sat there, checking everything. A note lay on the dashboard that read, ?Do not use; maintenance problems with AI, safeties removed?

Abelia groaned on the inside and shook her head. Then again, she always liked a challenge. Smiling to herself after a moment, she moved it expertly to the launch pad and activated the thrusters, propelling Abelia outside and into the action.

The explosions and ships were all around her. Abelia?s eyes flared as she took the controls into her hands, watching as the Volker followed her motions. She looked down at the LCD projector, seeing that it had several type of melee weapons available and several ranged, though only a few were installed and working up to date. She looked around and chose the first melee, watching with a jump of delight as metallic claws slid out of the mech-Volker?s hands.

Without warning, she lept at the first battalion and sliced through them with an almost utmost ease. She smiled with a bit of a pride at her own skills. However, there was a warning that flashed on her screen.

WARNING, WARNING, WARNING, WARNING:
LEFT THRUSTER OVERHEART?
ACTIVATING SAFETY MEASURES?
FAILED.
LEFT THRUSTER SHUTTING DOWN.
RIGHT THUSTER SHUTTTING DOWN.

??Damnit. Now I only have the central thruster to work with.? Abelia muttered at the Volker, turning around and pulling a pulse rifle off of the back, aiming it and firing in a curving arc at a wave of incoming ships.

?This is Volker 5, callsign ?Eisbrecher?. Where did these things come from??? Abelia asked into the Volker Radio Chat.

Neron watched the battle from the large, reinforced windows of the Obsession?s bridge. There were bright flashes of light and thunderous shock waves as some of the enemy?s fire came into contact with the battleship?s shields. The doctor looked at the vacant captain?s seat. Where on earth was that boy? Isn?t he supposed to be the captain of this ship? Where was he in their time of greatest need?

Two unidentified ships joined the fray, helping out the Obsession.

? Who the heck are those two?? Yuri commented from the piloting sphere of the battleship before jerking to the side to evade some oncoming missile fire.

? Are those the prisoners that were sent here in those transports before?? Xerinth mentioned, checking the logs for the delivery papers. ? What are they doing out in the field??

The doctor stroked his cheek thoughtfully, his grey eyes looking out at the battle before them. It seemed they were winning, but only just. If another enemy ship joined the fray, they would most certainly lose. Since the captain wasn?t around (Neron cursed the clumsy boy for disappearing at such a vital time), he decided that someone should temporarily take charge. It wasn?t in Neron?s best interest to take the captain?s place, but he seemed the only one not busy with the ongoing battle.

? Prisoners eh, go ahead and alert Lex and Axel to make sure both of those Volkers get a personal escort back to the Obsession after the field clears. We wouldn't want them trying to escape,? Neron aired the orders onto the private channels for the two mentioned before. He wondered if his decision was fair, and if it would have been what the clumsy boy would have done. It concerned him greatly that he would be the captain of this battleship. What exactly was the Rasm government thinking when they accepted him as the captain?

After a few more tense moments, where the enemy came dangerously close to the Obsession, the battle was over. The ship had sustained medium damage, and the shields were down for the time being. Neron watched everyone as they all breathed a sigh of relief. It had been their first time in combat. They had only won, but just. Luckily, there was no human loss of life. Neron felt uneasy about having the responsibility of looking over the dead. However, he was glad he didn?t have to do anything this time around.

Once all of the Volker fighters returned and disembarked, Neron made his way down to the hanger to see the two prisoners. He looked them over. One man, and one woman, and to his surprise, they seemed rather friendly with each other. They chatted away before seeing Neron approach them. The doctor looked rather imposing as he beckoned them to follow him to his office. They followed, thinking that this was some sort of interrogation. Once in the ward, Neron sat down in his chair, looking over his glasses at the two.

? I would like to first thank you for helping the Obsession survive its first battle,? Neron started as the two sat down in front of him. ? But? you came aboard as prisoners, however, you don?t seem like you are dangerous. I want to know why you are prisoners? and what crimes you have committed.?
OOC: BK and Sakura, explain to Neron your situation.

Pilots: Your characters may have sustained injuries. If your character has, then see Neron. If not, try and socialise with the opposite gender please.

Others: Follow the last instruction of the pilots above.

Axel was surprised he made it out alive at this fight. This sparked certain happiness in him. He didn?t know if this was the start of confidence. Yet many years of insecurity would not vanish in a matter of one moment. Axel was relieved as he landed his spacecraft in the hanger. His cockpit opened and he sat back looking at the metal ceiling. Maybe open space and stars were better for that little moment.

Axel took of his helmet and sighed. He fluffed his hair and cursed under his breath. Hat hair was annoying. His golden locks fell to the front of his face blocking his vision. He brushed his hair aside quickly turning that happiness to frustration. As he finished missing with his hair he climb down from his space craft and fell onto the hanger.

Zero gravity did not sit well with him. As he floated along the hanger he saw the two basic Volkers. They looked even worse up close. A smile graced his lips thinking that very thought. Yet this thought soon canceled that smiling feeling: The pilots were amazing in battle. This made his feel ever more of the underdog. He could see the prisoner pilots not far from him. One prisoner was a man the other a woman. Both seemed to enjoy each others company. Axel winced at the very thought, was that even possible?

Axel grabbed his head as he was thinking this over too much. The back of his skull hurt, he remembered a slight injury he obtained in his cockpit. Stupidly Axel cocked his head back to hard and hit his helmet on the walls of the space craft. It was a bummer just to get injuries from simple head against wall no battle scars or injuries to show. His stupidity would be the end of him.

Axel touched his head and can feel a slight bump. How annoying this would be bothering him for days. Maybe he should go see Neron yet he would only think less of him with just a simple head injury his complaining about. He had a head injury that wasn?t caused by his ship spinning out of control and him banging his head against the ceiling as he was slowly trying to gain control of his space craft. Nothing heroic of that sort.

Axel try to poke the bump back in but that didn?t work. He tried to held it down but it hurt if he did so. After countless efforts of poking and scratching he decided to go to the docs. He hoped he remembered where his office is.

OOC: I won't be able to post untill Saturday or Sunday. I'm sorry

Jaden slammed on the door with little hope of it coming open or any one finding him for that matter. He sighed heavily and leaned back against the locker wall. How would he explain it to any one how he found himself locked in a locker. He could feel the sudden jarring of the ship and gun fire, but what could he do? He was stuck here.

He heard voices pass by him and began slamming on the door once more, shouting as loud as he could. He could hear some questionable mumbles, silence and then suddenly the door flew open, blinding light filling his tiny space. Three young women stared back at him, he instantly wanted to shut the door again not from embrassment, or was it? Embrassed that a woman had to help him out of sticky situation, Mark was right. There was no way he could be captain of a ship as clumsy as he was.

"Uh...thanks," he said pushing through them. They looked at him with a strange glance as he rushed down the hall, stumbling every so often.

He rounded a bay and heard voices. He instantly spun towards them nearly falling over and saw a closed door. "Doctor's Office" Jaden tilted his head and thought "eh...might as well." He hit the button that opened the door and saw the guy with the glasses that he had seen the day he had applied for this crazy job, and two others, a man and a woman.

"Oh! You guys must be the prisoners I was briefed about." Jaden said with a goofy smile, the three people looking at him strangely.

Naydine cursed in her head at not being able to get away in the field. Kain stood beside her, they looked at one another and nodded in agreement that this would probably be their last chance. With only one person infront of them and one person behind them, it seemed almost too easy to get away.

"You know, Doc. We're really sorry...but we won't be able to help you out." Kain said as Naydine flew her elbow back suddenly and knocked into the young looking man who had just walked in through the door. Kain and Naydine criss-crossed out the door and each ran down a different hallway. Neron stood and ran only as far as the door, and looked down at the fallen man.

"Captain, are you alright?" Neron asked.

"Oh, fine...fine. No need for medical attention, doctor." Jaden responded, picking himself off and brushing him off. "Perhaps we should take slightly more forceful measure in questioning those two."

"Everything will be fine, Captain. Just wait." Neron assured him as he just stood by the door.

Down the left hallway, Naydine turned herself around a corner and caught sight of a stairwell. She didn't know where it led, but the hangar was toward the bottom of the ship so it was a good start.

'All I gotta do is make it down to the hangar and meet Kain there, we'll grab our volkers and get the hell out of here. No problem...hopefully the layout of this ship isn't as huge as it looks from the outside' Naydine thought to herself, with a sweatdrop rolling down the side of her forehead. A few yards away from the stairs, she was surpsied by two female guards stepping out from the corners and blocking the homestretch to the lower level.

"Yikes!" Naydine yelled as she tried to put on the breaks and turn around, but her ankle twisted causing her to fall head first into the wall. Her body dropped down infront of the two guards, who just stood there staring at her.

"Owwww..." she whined, holding the side of her head. She didn't even notice the pain in her ankle until she was helped up by the two guards and returned to the infirmary. Outside the office, she saw Kain being escorted as well.

"Heh, guess they were better prepared then we thought." Kain exclaimed, as the two of them were shoved into the infirmary. Neron looked up from a clipboard and returned his attention to finding out what they were doing there. He noticed Naydine's limping and her quick decision to find a seat.

"Are you hurt, young lady?" Neron asked.

"Just twisted her ankle and gave herself a little bump in the head." one of the guards who witnessed it spoke up.

"Hey! It was YOUR fault it happened..." Naydine shot back, still holding her head.

Neron walked over to his desk and searched through one of the side cabinets for a few seconds. Kain watched on wondering what he was doing, as it looked like he was fiddling with something. Neron emerged a minute later with a syringe in his left hand. He walked over to Naydine, who just noticed at that point.

"Here miss, hold out your arm and this will help..."

"EEEEEK! GET THAT AWAY FROM ME!" Naydine screamed as she jumped out of her place and latched onto Kain's arm, hiding behind him.

"What the...!? Nay, get off of me!" Kain shot out, trying to shake her off his arm.

"No way! I don't need a shot!" she said, hanging on tightly still.

The guards, Jaden, and Neron watched on all dumbfounded. Though clearly it seemed like Naydine was afraid of needles.

"Um, miss? It's just a mild pain killer, it will help with your head and ankle." Neron tried to explain.

"I'm fine! Don't come near me!"

"Nay, would you start acting your age!?" Kain yelled trying to pry her off of his arm now.

"You're one to talk! There have been plenty of times where you've acted stupidly too!"

"Yeah, well atleast i'm not scared of getting shots!"

"I had a bad experience, ok!?"

Neron's confused expression didn't change much, but he placed the syringe down beside him and put it back.

"Alright, so we'll skip the shot. Now if you two would be so kind as to tell us your situation?"

After Lex cut off the prisoners and managed to get her Volker docked, she stubbled a bit climbing out and Kaylee caught her.

?Lex? Oh my god, are you badly hurt??

?Honestly, I couldn?t tell you.? Lex looked over her shoulder at the Volker ?I can tell you my baby?s gonna need a bit of touch up work?

Kaylee smiled ?Shiny. I?ll get to work on her right away Captain, that is if you promise to go straight from here to the infirmary.?

?Yeah. I?m on it.?

Kaylee walked passed her to look over the fighter. Lex straightened up and felt her forehead. Blood. Fantastic. She held her left injured arm up to her chest and made her way through the volker?s toward the infirmary. It looked like she had been the last to dock. But everyone had made it back, and that was good thing. As she walked down the hall she could hear an argument coming from the doctor?s office. Fear of needles. God.

She turned the corner and saw Axel leaning outside the office door, watching the fight that was clearly and loudly continuing within. He looked like he was alright. She was within a 10 feet of the door when a wave of dizzy sickness hit her, hard.
Concussion, brilliant? and with a last glance in Axel?s direction, Lex slumped down to the floor hard?darkness?

October sat still within her Volkers cockpit, the battle was over but her adrenaline was still pumping. Quickly coarsing through he veins, blood slowly dripped down the side of her til it reached her chin and fell dotting her legs with drops of crimson. Her grip on the controls was tight and her breath short and shallow.

"October Long, are you there, can you respond?" A voice rang through her Volkers intercom.

Octobers eyes widened at the sound of the voice, he breathing slowing as she acsended back to reality. It took a moment before she could respond with a breathy voice, "Yeah, yeah I'm alright, I'll be out of the cockpit in a moment."

Swiftly jumping out of the cockpit, October landed lightly using the last bit of adrenaline that had been surging. A woman stood infront of her, her hands almost as black as her hair. One of them holding a large wrench.

"What took you so long, I can't fix this baby up if your relaxing in the cockpit." The womans voice was loud and fast, her words almost slurring as she spoke.

"Sorry, just got stuck in the moment I guess."

"Ah well you probably want to go get that cheek looked at, be a shame if it scarred, oh and by the way my name is Hale, I'm your mechanic."

"Nice to meet you Hale, I'm October."

"Ya, ya I know already, get down to the infirmary." Hale said roughly was she walked past her towards the Volker.

October couldn't help but smirk as she headed off towards the infirmary. A woman in front of her, looked a little off balance as she walked, before she suddenely collapsed. "Uh oh, no good." October jogged foward to help the woman, but before she could reach her a man stood over her. October kicked swiftly at his head, barely missing as he fell back out of the way, before he could do anything else she stepped between them.

"Hey what's the big idea? I'm just trying to help her." He said cautiously, as if he thought he was staring down a wild animal.

"Help? Wait aren't you a fighter too?" October stood shocked that a man was trying to "help" a woman.

"I guess I'm a fighter, and of coarse I'm trying to help." He said crawling around October's legs and propping the unconsious womans head up, "What are you standing there for, aren't you gonna help too?"

"Oh sorry, I guess I kinda forgot there were, uhh men... on this ship and assumed the worst, but lets get her in the infirmary." October scratched her head idly, was she really apologizing to a man. Crouching down she grabber the womans legs and helped lift her, slowly carrying her down the hall to the infirmary.

The man was the first one to speak, as they slowly approached the infirmary door. "My name is Axel, do you mind telling me yours?"

October let out a sigh, getting a strange look from the man. "I guess it can't be helped, I'm October."

Axel touched his head and walked over to the infirmary. He can hear loud noises coming from the infirmary. He heard a women?s shrill over needles. What happened to the fearless man eating women he feared? A slight smile graced his lips. It was nice to feel even for a second that he wasn?t the most cowardly person in this world. He wondered if needles were what all women feared. He wouldn?t now.

Axel leaned against the wall next to the infirmary door. He found the conversation extremely humorous completely forgetting of his little bump on his head. He heard a man trying to comfort the women Axel started to laugh hysterically. What a weird site, a man and a woman acting so close. As Axel stopped laughing he saw a walking slowly walking towards the infirmary. He quickly noticed her as one of the Volker Fighters, Lex?

The woman quickly glanced at Axel. She stumbled back and quickly fell into the ground. Axel saw this and froze. He wasn?t sure what to do. He walked over to her and hovered over her limping body. He couldn?t even think of touching a woman. It was a horrifying thought yet this woman looked terrible ill.

As he propped down to grab her yet he was awarded with a quick swift kick that went over his head. He fell back and looked up at another woman. Is he going to die? Was she a real man killer, he was going to die for trying to do a good deed. It was bothersome to try to be a good person.

?Hey what?s the? bi-g idea? I?m just try-ing to help her?? Axel strutted in his words.

?Help? Wait, aren?t you a fighter too?? She questioned him.

Of course she would question that. He didn?t look like a fighter nor had the bravery or strength of a fighter. He was just about to get eating alive by this woman. ?I guess I?m a fighter, and of course I?m trying to help? He slowly said not believing in his own words. He went back to the woman slump over unconscious. He hand shook as he propped the woman?s head up. He can?t believe he just touched a woman!

?What are you standing there for, aren?t you going help too?? Axel said to her. Not to be hasty but he had to get her into an infirmary quick. Anyways, he couldn?t think of carrying her.

"Oh sorry, I guess I kinda forgot there were, uhh men... on this ship and assumed the worst, but let?s get her in the infirmary." She scratched her head confused. She grabbed the woman?s leg and Axel grabbed the other end hesitantly. The both lifted her up and scuttled her over to the infirmary. Axel body shook in fear. Eww, he was touching a woman.

To get his mind off of fear he tried making friendly conversation. ?My name is Axel, do you mind telling me yours??

The woman let out a sigh ?I guess it can?t be helped, I?m October??

Axel twitched trying to hide his fear ?Umm, nice name? I thought woman would have more monstrous names like ?ManDestroyer? or ?DeathtoMen? , lame names I know?? Axel glanced at October and she looked surprised almost annoyed.

?Umm sorry if that offended you in anyway.? Axel smiled nervously.

?Let?s just walk her over, we don?t need to conversant.? October said in a sigh.

Axel let go out one side of the woman making sure not to drop her. He opened the door and secured his hand again to support the woman?s weight. October and Axel scuttled in with the woman?s unconscious body.

?Sorry doc to bother you, but we have a bit of an emergency?? Axel spoke to Nero. Nero looked away from the two prisoners and at Axel and October. His eyes quickly went into the attention of the unconscious woman Axel and October were holding. The woman had blood dripping down her head. Bits of her hair were caked in blood.

OOC: First of all, it?s Neron, not Nero. Secondly, this is going to be a fairly long post. Just so you?re warned.

What an adventure so far, Neron sighed inwardly. The first occurrence of many to be played out was the two prisoners, Kain and Naydine, he had beckoned to join him in his office tried to escape. They both flew out of the door like runaways rabbits, knocking over Jaden, the captain, during their flight. He had only just poked his head inside the ward?s door and said something when the two leapt into action. Neron raced to the door, watching the quickly disappearing backs of the two prisoners with slight unease. He then looked down at the boy-captain that lay sprawled out comically across the floor.

? Captain,? Neron started with a slight hint of disapproval in the tone of his voice, ? are you all right?? He stared down the bridge of his nose, through his circular-framed glasses, at the young man.

? Oh, fine? fine,? Jaden replied, standing quickly and brushing himself off. He scratched the back of his head in an embarrassed manner, smiling stupidly at the older man. ? No need for medical attention, Doctor. Perhaps we should take more forceful measure in questioning these two.?

The last sentence sounded more like a question, than a thought. Neron almost felt like he should roll his eyes at the young man. Having a captain like his was rather irritating. The doctor wondered how long this voyage was going to last with someone like that as their leader. The Rasm government really had lost its? sanity when they chose him.

? Everything will be fine Captain,? Neron replied, as if answering the question Jaden had proposed. ? Just wait.? The doctor walked back inside the ward, lifting up a clipboard and reading up on the escapees while he waited.

As if on cue, two sets of guard ? one set female, the other male ? brought the two escapees back to the ward.

? Heh, guess they were better prepared than we thought,? the man, Kain, remarked as they were shoved into their seats. Neron now looked up from his clipboard, his grey eyes settling on the two. He noticed the woman, Naydine, was holding her ankle rather tenderly.

? Are you hurt, young lady?? he asked neutrally as Jaden moved over to behind the doctor?s desk.

? Just twisted her ankle and gave herself a little bump on the head,? one of the female guards piped up, having witnessed the incident only moments before.

? Hey! It was YOUR fault it happened!? Naydine retorted hotly, now holding her head gingerly. All the while this was going on, Neron had moved to his desk, shuffling Jaden out of the way in the process, and rummaged around in one of the drawers. A minute later and the doctor approached the young woman with a syringe in hand.

? Here, this will help?? Neron started before the woman screamed and latched herself onto her male counterpart?s arm, much to the surprise of Neron, Jaden and the guards.

? What the??! Nay, get off me!? Kain growled, trying to shake her off but not very successfully.

? No way! I do not need a shot!? the young woman wailed, hanging on so tightly to the young man that Neron thought she would cut off the circulation to his arm. Indeed, it was starting to turn a nasty shade of blue. But it was now clear to Neron, and everyone else in the room, that Naydine was mortally afraid of needles.

? It is only a mild painkiller. It will ease the throbbing in your head and ankle?? Neron attempted to explain to Naydine, but she flat out refused to be told.

? I?m fine! Don?t come near me!?

Neron sighed as the two prisoners began to argue amongst themselves. He placed the syringe down on the desk beside him before turning to the two seated before him. He also noticed that Jaden and the others had very confused looks about them. It wasn?t surprising. The doctor himself was shocked at the two?s easy interaction with one another. It was like watching animals interact with each other at the zoo. But, he couldn?t let himself be carried away by his curiosity.

? Very well then, shall we skip the injection? If you two are now done, would you be so kind as to tell us your situation??

Both of the prisoners opened their mouths to start sprouting their story when three people shuffled into the room. Two were holding the third, who was in a dead faint and laying limp in their grasp. Neron immediately noticed that all three needed medical attention of some sort. The doctor abruptly turned into some sort of general, ordering people about like nothing.

? Jaden,? Neron started, turning to the clumsy captain of the ship. ? Since the prisoners have no injuries worth attending to, I would like you to escort them to their holding cells for the time being. Do what you wish with them.?

He turned to the two conscious beings that had come in, whom he recognised as Axel and October, the third being Lexiana. ? October, Axel ? please place Lexiana upon the nearest bed if you have the strength.?

Neron?s tone worried them more than anything. Forgetting about the differences between themselves, the two nodded and lifted Lexiana up onto the nearest bed. While this happened, Neron fussed around, gathering what things he would need to patch the injured woman up. October watched Neron closely, making sure he didn?t seem like he was going to do anything fishy. Axel collapsed into one of the chairs nearby, holding his head gingerly.

The doctor worked on the unconscious Lexiana for ten or fifteen minutes before he was satisfied with the job done. The bleeding had been stopped and the swelling had gone down inside the young woman?s head. All that she needed now was rest, and plenty of it.

Neron pulled the curtain around to reveal a peaceful Lexiana to the two waiting for treatment. He looked from one to the other.

? Who shall be first??
Jaden beckoned the four guards that had orginally escorted the two escapees into the doc's office to help escort them down to the cells, not that Jaden really knew where they were. But that never stopped him before.

The three females left Jaden feeling uncomfortable, not scared, but uncomfortable. He wanted to question them but where to begin.

You know the doc thinks the Rsam was crazy to put you on the Obession as Captain. Jaden could hear Mark's voice in the back of his head. He doesn't even think you can take these low lifes down to the holding cells without screwing it up.

Jaden tossed his head slightly, trying to keep the burden of living up to something other than his already clumsy name, allowing himself to fall behind the guards and the prisioners. He realized that this was a far better position to be in. He could watch them and it would be harder for them to attack him and take control of the situation.

"You're not really much of a captian," this female by the name of Naydine, was it, commented.

"Well it got me off the rock I was living on." Jaden tried to smile when he noticed the very female mocking him was very obviously limping. "Here let me help." Jaden walked up towards her and one of the guards blocked his way.

"Don't you know that you can't touch a prisioner when you're captain of a ship." She said with a wiry smile.

Jaden squinted his eyes some from the remark, but slid the guard aside. He may be captain of the ship, clumsy, and dead set against females but he wasn't going to allow a creature to suffer. He slid his arm around her back, tilted her back and pulled her legs up towards his chest. She was amazingly light, almost to the point where he thought he was going to break her. She seemed to struggle some before relaxing.

"But me down!" she protested.

"No. Now stop moving before I drop you." Jaden said firmly.

Not only for the annoyance of her meeting with the crew being interrupted by the attack, but now before her stood an incompetant male assisstant asking for instructions for the repairs needed on the ships which were now being docked in the cargobay.

"...Also, we're going to need a new installation of power cells into every Volker battleship...I didn't have enough time before the intitial launch to fully equip each of their power supplies. It was a good thing that the battle lasted shortly as it did. From these readings each of their power supplies are nearly burnt out...make sure this is done more efficiently this time." with that Dr. Xerinth turned off the small monitor on her wrist and returned to her meal.

"Yes...as you wish." that was all that the young man said, and he was quickly on his way with his instructions. Just the tone of his voice gave her a headache. It was so foreign...so alien in a way. Laying down the fork, Laura massaged the sides of her temples...trying to subdue the pain. The pills she took hours before while the battle ensued weren't taking any effect.

...I need to see a doctor...this sudden change in pace must be getting to me already...but the doctor is a male...would probably only make it worse... from what she gathered alread from her male subordinates...men weren't very reliable, and were somewhat arrogant.

In her frustration as the pain seemed to reach its threashold, Laura slammed her fist on top of the table, shaking the contents on her tray.."fine!" Leaving her food behind, she decided to go see the doctor.

OOC: Deepest apologize for the Nero...Neron thing. I promise not to make that typo again.

Axel sat on a chair holding his little bump on his head. He looked as Neron pulled the curtain and started fixing Lex. Neron called her Lexiana which sounded a much more fragile name then Lex. Much like October it was an unexpected women name. Even so he was slightly worried for Lex. If he remembers correctly Lex was Volker Fighter 2. She greatly helped him during battle. Axel almost idolized her as she was everything he wasn?t. Strong and confident about herself, that what kind of women Lex looked to him.

Axel glanced at October who looked sketchy about the idea of a male doctor touching Lex. Axel smile almost laughing at October. It was funny how she worried yet Axel would worry too if there was a female doctor. He was happy that Neron was a male. He be completely freak out if he was injured in battle and a woman touched him.

Neron pulled the curtain around showing Lex sleeping safe in sound. Allen sighed in relief ?Good, she?s okay?. He looked at October she probably thought the same too. Back there she fainted and both of them made such a fuss. He glanced at Neron and smiled grateful for his work.

?Who shall be first?? Neron said giving a good glance at Axel and Allen.

?Well nothing, whatever happened to Lex was the worst. It makes my head injury look meaningless?.? Axel poked his bump.

?Are you sure? I gladly take a look??

?No, no I?m just been a baby? Axel smiled nervously.

Naydine's pleas and whines could be heard throughout the corridors as they walked through each part of the ship to get to the holding cells. Kain just rolled his eyes as he has to constantly had to distance the guard from himself in order to convince him that he had no intention of struggling.

"This is so unneccesary! Your kindness is just being wasted because I don't intend on thanking you, you got that! You might as well just let me down, I can walk just fine." Naydine said, flailing her arms and legs, which was stopped by a sharp pain shooting up her ankle to her calf. Kain just sighed as Jaden didn't struggle much with Naydine's 115 llbs frame.

"That's what you get for complaining so much." Kain said in a droned tone.

Jaden stepped onto the elevator, followed by Kain and his guard as they descended to the brig area. Pretty much all of the other cells were empty, and there seemed to be a section for men and one for women...though not much seperated them, just a single gate and 2 walkways. The guards opened the respective cells as Kain walked into his, and Naydine placed down onto the bed of her own, across from Kain's.

"I'm sorry, but you'll have to stay here for a little bit. I don't believe either of you to be all that dangerous...but we think it's best until we get everything straightened out." Jaden explained as he began to walk out of the cell.

"Ha, aren't YOU supposed to be the captain of this ship? I mean that's what your uniform suggests. It seems like that doctor up there is the one giving the orders though. So what kind of authority do you have around here anyway?" Naydine asked, a bit annoyed at Jaden's odd personality considering his position.

"Well...you see..."

"Captain! Your presence is being requested on the bridge!" a call from Jaden's communicator interuppted, a high pitched male voice on the other end. Jaden acknowledged and replied and looked toward Naydine before retrieving something from one of the guards behind him.

"I have to go, Neron should be down soon to talk to you both. Here though...it should be comfortable enough." Jaden said as he place some folded up clothing through the bars to Naydine's cell, and returned to the elevator, leaving one male and one female guard. Kain seated himself on the bench inside and cell and just sighed as he leaned against the wall. Naydine meanwhile reached over for the clothes from her seated position, being cautious for her ankle.

"Hm, so YOU get a change of clothes huh? Meanwhile I gotta keep this crap on, I haven't been able to change since being loaded onto the transport ship." Kain said, not really glancing over.

"Hmph, whatever I guess. Though I could really use a shower too. But I guess that's asking too much" Naydine said, as she observed the clothing Jaden gave her. The top was navy blue and white, fashioned like a tank top with the front and back pointing out longer than the sides, and the bottoms with matching colors fashioned like a tight pair of shorts with a black padded belt. The boots were black, ending just a bit under the knee.

"Yeah, that would be nice." Kain agreed, as he turned his head over to look at his former partner in crime and turned back.

Naydine shrugged and stood up, trying to ease off her ankle the best she could. She pulled her shirt off over her head, and undid her bra and tossed it to the ground as well. Kain glanced over at her meaning to speak to her, but caught Naydine in the middle of her changing.

"What the...Nay, you going to do that right now? I can see you, you know?" Kain said, glancing away quickly.

"Yeah, so? Is something offensive about my breasts?" she asked sincerely, as she began taking her bottoms off too so she could change into her new clothing.

"Hmph, what breasts would those be?" Kain said, responding with sarcasm.

"Excuse me? These are C cups you know! and very perky too, thank you very much!" Naydine protested as she pointed to herself with both fingers.

"Hmm, you're right about that. You're in pretty good shape aren't ya?" came a female voice from beside Naydine's cell. Naydine let out an "Eep!" and quickly covered herself the best she could with both of her arms. The female guard left to watch after Naydine looked through the bars and giggled to herself subtly.

"H...hey! How about a little privacy here!" Naydine yelled, reaching for her shorts while trying to keep her arms huddled by her body.

"Hm, now you want privacy? Just before you were bragging about your chest." Kain said smugly, leaning his head back onto his arms.

"You shut up! The both of you can just leave me alone." Nay mumbled as she proceeded to dress in her newly acquired attire.

Several announcements were made over the ship's com system as an hour passed before Neron made his way down to the brig. He peered into Naydine's cell as the guard greeted Neron and took her leave. Nay glanced up from her laying position and saw the doctor standing there.

"So you decided to come afterall?" she said sarcastically.

"My apologies for making you wait, though technically the prisoners don't have much say in matters like this anyway." Naydine turned her head away with a "Hmph". "Anyway, how are your head and ankle feeling?"

Gray? grayish blue? mists rolling, enveloping her mind?silence? no, not perfect silence, there was someone else there?standing, no, walking toward her. A dark silhouette?determined, goal driven ? coming straight at her at a steady pace? The outline shaped slowly, spilling and pouring in the details of the form the deep dark air parted in front of her, and she smelled it, this foreign yet pleasurable sent, inhaling deeply and closing her eyes? opening them she saw the figure was in front of her? he pulled her toward him?

Lex snapped awake, sitting bolt upright with her hip gun in her hand. Axel, along with a couple of the female fighters sat or stood around the room. They all fell silent and were staring at her. Her head pounded sharply and she lowered her weapon.

?sorry.? She glanced down and saw her other hand was bandaged neatly. Raising her good hand she noted the same clean work had been applied to her head.
?well,? she looked over at Axel ?to whom do I owe my complements on the patch job??

?Oh, uh, the doctor, Neron. He?ll be back in a bit, I think he went to check the prisoners.?

Lex froze instinctively and responded rather sharply ?he??

Axel instantly looked rather uncomfortable

?Oh, Axel, I?m sorry I?I just do not know yet how to deal with this shit.?

He was looking at the ground. He mumbled, ?It?s alright.?

She pulled herself out of the bed and holstered the gun. ?Come on Axel, I don?t know about you but I could use some nourishment.?

Axel looked up; he could totally understand her situation. ?Ha, I guess I wouldn?t want a woman doctor touching me? Axel gave a nervous smile. Axel couldn?t help but feel responsible for her head trauma. She basically made her go to the front of the line for him been so weak. He depended on her like he depended on most of his friends. Scratch that, a woman as a friend? There comrades of course been on the same team. Next time he had to some way to protect her so they?re even.

?So, feeling better??? Axel said afraid of the answer.

Lex looked at her bandage hand. She slowly flexed her hand seen if it?s okay. Axel tried to look for some slight discomfort in her face. He couldn?t exactly tell, woman have such confusing facial expressions. She touched her head and looked at Axel.

?Yeah, I feel okay. I guess Neron did a good job?? Lex said and slightly mumbled ?for a man??

Axel ignored the comment ?Sorry, you know for my performance on the battle field??
?No you don?t-?

?Come on I kind of feel responsible for your injuries. If I wasn?t so weak and cowardly you wouldn?t get so badly hurt. I know your strong and take care of yourself but I got your back for now on okay? Is bothersome to owe someone so, with this it will be even.? Axel gave her a normal natural smile. He hoped she would accept her apology and take the offer.

OOC: Lol. Don't worry about it too much Nucifer. It's ok. By the way, you seem to be using Allen (from Reality of Sin?) in your posts for this RP, instead of either Axel or the character Axel is interacting with. Just wanted to point that out. No biggie. ^^
? Who shall be first?? Neron said, readjusting his glasses slightly as he looked from Axel to October. The both of them looked rather uncomfortable under his questioning gaze. The doctor guessed that, in October?s case, he was a male doctor, and the only doctor on the ship. As for Axel, he wasn?t quite sure why the young wan was discomforted by the doctor?s dark-grey eyes.

? Well? nothing? whatever happened to Lex was the worst,? the young man mumbled. ? It makes my head injury look meaningless?? He pointed to the rather swollen ?bump? that had formed near one of his temples.

Neron?s eyes sharpened slightly. He wasn?t the type of doctor to leave patient?s high-and-dry when they needed medication attention of any sort, but Axel?s injury didn?t seem too severe for the moment.

? Are you certain? I will gladly take a look?? Neron started before he was cut off by Axel.

? No, no. I?m just being a baby,? he said firmly, giving the doctor a nervous smile.

Neron sighed inwardly, closing his eyes only briefly as he turned his attention to October. She had minor bleeding from a point at the side of her head. Again, it was only a minor wound ? nothing as serious as Lexiana?s. The doctor rummaged around in his bandages box and produced a thick head bandage. He approached October with it, who became increasingly uneasy with his oncoming. She backed away gradually as Neron came forward. However, seeing at how this was not going to come to anything, Neron stopped and looked at the woman, before throwing her the bandage.

? Since you will not let me treat you myself, I shall have to ask you to do it on your own,? the doctor said coolly, turning away slightly. He was slightly annoyed at the attitude his patient was showing him, however, deep down inside, he knew that this was to be expected.

Walking over to his desk, Neron gathered up a few papers as well as Lexiana, Axel and October?s ID cards. These ID cards held their physical condition statistics on them. He wanted to run a few tests virtually before giving them all the ok to go back to fighting. Without another word, the doctor left the ward and headed down to the holding cells to meet with the prisoners. On his way down there, he heard an announcement for Jaden to come to the bridge immediately. Again, Neron sighed, thinking to himself about Jaden?s disappearance during the last battle.

But before long, the doctor had arrived down at the holding cells. He looked into the nearest cell, which turned out to be the female?s. A sarcastic comment was shot his way when the occupant realised she, and her male counterpart, had a visitor.

? So you decided to come after all?? Naydine sneered.

Neron gave the snide woman a hard look from behind strands of his long hazelnut-blonde hair. For a doctor, that look was rather intimidating.

? My apologies for making you wait, though technically, the prisoners do not have much say in matters like these.? Neron watched as the female turned her head away from him in disgust. ? However, I would like to know how your ankle and head are faring??

Naydine looked back at him with a lethal glance. ? Just fine thank you!?

Neron let an inaudible growl rumble in his throat. His patience was about at the end of his tether after this day, of all days. However, he composed himself somewhat before addressing Naydine in a very firm tone.

? As a doctor, it is my duty aboard this ship to care for the physical and mental well-being of all aboard. This includes prisoners. I dearly wish not to perform my other duty aboard this ship, which is to examine the dead and determine their cause of death. I would much rather deal with living, breathing patients, than dead bodies.?

Naydine was taken aback by his sudden turn of emotion. Kain peered around the bars of his cell to look at the two interacting. The doctor did look like he was holding himself together by a small amount. The two glared at each other for a few moments before Neron broke the gaze and stepped over to Kain?s cell. He looked through the bars at the young man that stood before him.

? It seems you are the more sensible of the two.? There was an angered outburst from Naydine but Neron ignored her. ? I would like to talk to you about your planet, your world. It interests me greatly that men and women seem to live together somewhat peacefully. If you are interested, then I will ask the captain if you both can be freed and made Volker pilots on this ship. Think it over and send your reply with one of these guards. They know their way to my office.?

Kain nodded softly, already having a thoughtful look about him. Neron gave the young man a small smile before turning on his heel and walking from that part of the Obsession, not giving Naydine a second look.

As he entered the door of the ward, Neron immediately noticed the missing presence of all three of his patients, Lexiana included. This time a frustrated hiss came through his clenched teeth. The middle-aged man flopped into his chair, taking off his circular-framed glasses and placing them on the desk before him. His hand rose to his head and covered some of his eyes in a tired expression, some of his hair falling over his hand as he lent forward in the chair.

This is one of the reasons I didn?t take a position on a ship before? Neron thought to himself. Those pilots are stubborn and will not listen to my instructions.

A soft ?knock-knock? tapped on the frame of the doorway to the ward. Neron raised his head to look at the doorway, letting his hand fall slightly so he would have a clear view of who it might be. To his surprise it was Laura, the ship?s most senior analyst. One of her hands was holding her forehead gingerly, her eyes slightly cringed in pain.

? Miss Xerinth. What can I do for you today?? Neron asked as he placed his glasses back on his face.

Meanwhile...

Jaden walked in through the bridge doors after getting himself lost three times on his way to see what the fuss was about. One of the male officers Jaden had seen before they boarded the Obsession came up to him with a small smile.

" Hello captain. Glad to see you're back," Yuri said, slightly chuckling at Jaden's reddening face.

" Sorry I couldn't get here earlier. What's the problem?" Jaden replied, not wanting to have another person dislike him for his ditzy behaviour.

" Well... it's not exactly a problem. You see... we seem to be approaching a planet system that has a good amount of resources on it. Since this is a long voyage and all, I thought that it would be a good idea if we stocked up."

jaden thought for a moment, looking at Yuri then down at the screen that showed the large red-clouded planet. What Yuri suggested wasn't a bad idea at all.
OOC: Sorry to take over your chars for a bit, DC and Soliel. Just needed to get that in. My next post will be the beginning of a new chapter folks. Prepare for landing crew.

Jaden studied the screen for a moment, wishing he knew who was in charge of the inventory to see what they needed but he supposed it would be a good idea after the battle he had missed. He placed his hand on the com system and tried to sound as professional as possible.

"This is your captain speaking, we will be landing for some supplies. We will be staying for a few days so fell free to do some shopping of your own." Jaden removed his hand from the com and turned to the young man at the controls. He gave Jaden a strange look making him feel uncomfortable.

"It should be a rather smooth ride, Captain if you'd like to take a seat." Yuri motioned towards the seat not far from his.

"Uhhhhhh," Jaden began. "I think I'm going to make a trip to the Doc's office to see what the damage was from our first battle." Jaden turned around, knocked his knee into a chair, stumbled a bit and finally made his way out of the room.

He did rather well this round in finding the doc's office without too much trouble. Only bumping into a couple people and a few random objects before stumbling into the office and interrupting some conversation between a woman and the doc.

"Oh...excuse me...I'll come back another time."
