2. Hmmm...I place all of my graphic novels in chronological order, after first organizing them by series. I guess that's odd, especially when I really don't are about the placement of anything else in my room. As long as it doesn't look like a disaster area, I'm usually good.
 3. I liked GW moee than Mobile Suit Gundam, and I'll tell you why. I'm not gouing to give you shallow reasons, like that the GW Gundams were cooler (they were). The main reason was that the plot for MG became so bloody repetative and anoying that I couldn't stand it any more. War is bad. That was the whole point of the series, basically. War messes the warriors up. That point by itself wasn't so bad, but the way they went about it was. At some point, MSG became a daily game of "let's see how much crap we can shove on Amuro, because God knows he was'nt whiney enough". The plot stagnated. By the end of the series, everyone was so hiney and meloncholy that it drove me nuts. I know that's supposed to be "reality", but it seemed that they were making no progress in terms of plot, not to mention that the episodes were getting predictable; all civilians introduced might as well have been Red Shirts from Star Trek. GW had a large cast of characters, many of whom were very different in personality, to shove the horrors of war on. And most of them weren't so incredibly whiney. 08th MS Team did right what MSG did wrong. They kept their message to a short eight episodes, not a masochistic dedication to showing pain that lasted forever.
 4. Yugi set what appeared to be an obvious and rather lame trap that he knew Nesbitt woul dismantle and attack, thus ignoring Joey for a turn. Which two recursion cards were played in yami Bakura' duel against Bonz?
 5. In a well-guarded area of the Demon Realm, the Archfiend forces were gathered. The DarkBishop approached the TerrorKing slowly. "My Lord," he said. "I bring news from Hades' empire." The King nodded. "Proceed." "As expected, the other kingdoms have joined together, and have sent several of their warriors to retrieve the missing Seal." The King nodded again. "Your recomendation?" The Bishop grinned slightly. "My King, should Hades fail to retrieve the Seal, the Demon Realm will doubt his abilities as a ruler. They will be ready to accept the idea of someone like yourself taking command." "First...the mission to retrieve the Seal must fail, correct?" The Bishop nodded. "That would be prudent." The TerrorKing made a motion, which summoned his strongest warrior, the ShadowKnight. "Take a small group of VilePawns and eliminate the search party," he said. "Leave not a soul alive." "Understood, my lord," the Knight replied. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Twenty minutes later, the search party was intercepted by the ShadowKnight, and a group of seven VilePawns. "I am very sorry," the Knight said. "But, by orders of the TerrorKing, ruler of all Archfiends, you must all die."
 6. You're right, Snodin; I forgot the part about the cards in the hand. ^^;; The worst part (or best, if you're playing him) about CED's ability is that it takes priority, and can be chained to Destruction Ring, Torrential Tribute, etc. There's also a 1-hit kill involving CED. Have a Sangan or Witch on the field when you summon CED; then, use his effect to nuke everything. When your Searcher is destroyed, you pull Yata-Garatsu from your deck and attack for an instant Yata-Lock. Harsh.
 7. I like the new TMNT, except for the awful theme song. Mostly, I'm glad that they're following the original comic book, which is something I've always been curious about. Granted, it's not perfect; a lot of the episodes are "filler", and not very good filler. Sometimes potentially good episodes are placed in the middle of a larger storyline, and it feels like stalling. The biggest complaint I have is a lot of storylines run a lot longer than they need to. The underground city story, Turtles in Space and the return to New York story could have been a lot shorter, and wouldn't have lost much.
 8. Garnecia Elephantis. Q:In Joey and Yugi's duel against the Big Five which monsters were on the field when Johnson activated Judge Man's deck master ability?
 9. I'd reform medicare and social security, and do it damn fast. The elderly on government welfare are going to outnumber the working members of society very soon, and no one's going to win in that situation. ('Tis a tough problem indeed: how do you get money to the elderly folks who actually need it, while at the same time not placing a huge financial burden on the younger ones?)
 10. THe Chaos Monsters are Chaos Soldier, Chas Emperor Dragon, and Black Magician of Chaos. The former two have 3000/2500 stats and can be Special Summoned by removing one light monster and one dark monster from the graveyard. Chaos Soldier can either remove a monster from play and then not attack, or attack twice in the same turn. (Personal favorite) Chaos Emporer Dragon can, at the cost of 1000 LP, destroy all cards on the field and deal 300 damage to your opponent for each card destroyed. Black Magician of Chaos can bring back a Magic card from your graveyard when summoned. Every monster he destroys is removed from the game. If he's removed from the field for any reason, he's removed from play.
 11. You're right, 'lessn I've forgotten sombeody. ^__^ In general, if you think you're right, go ahead and ask your question. what slows this thread down is nobody asking questions.
 12. The three deck masters were DeepSea Warrior, Nightmare Penguien and Judge Man, respectivly. DSW could sacrifice two monsters to redicrect an opponent's attack back at them, and Nightmare Penguin gives Water-element monster 200 more attack points. Q: Name all the named Rare Hunters, and their deck strategies.
 13. Well, to assume that you can attack directly was wrong; the only monster that creates that situation is the Legendary Fisherman, and I'm not quite sure of the reasoning behind that... Your opponent was semi-correctl; you cant' attack any Archfiends on the field. However, the game wasn't over unless you had absolutely no options. There are a ton of ways to break the lock: Change of Heart one of his VilePawns, destroy one of them with a trap or magic card, or, just summon a really strong monster and wait until the Archfiend LP drain wipes him out.
 14.
Originally posted by ScirosDarkblade Deathbug, you have a more reasonable viewpoint, but it is also a bit extreme. You seem to almost completely favor 100% capitalism, while wishing for equality of opportunity. But of course human nature will have those who are successful try to suppress competition, leading to a breakdown in the latter. Additionally, it means you don't give a damn about those who get left behind in society, taking a "if they don't have it they didn't earn it" approach. This is just ridiculous, because how can you say that to the elderly whose pensions aren't enough to cover their medication needs and so forth?
Actually, I never favored 100% capitalism.
We don't practice "pure" capitalism anymore, and we haven't for a long time. In theory, right now, we have altered the system so that anybody can advance through the economic ranks and eventually earn riches via hard work and innovation. Sadly, in practice, that doesn't always happen; in fact, it hardly does. tHat is a flaw in the system that needs correcting. However, it is still better than communism, where the poor will always be poor, without even the slightest hope of advancement.
100% capitalism screws a lot of people over, and all the wealth in the nation is concentrated in the hands of a few. (Ironically, under all communist regimes, you get the same result...) I am in complete favor of equality of opportunity, and while I'd like to believe that the government never has to interfere with the private sector, the fact is, they do, or the "Cutthroat super-capitalists", as I called them earlier, will walk all over everyone. If we ever achieved complete equality of opportunity, which is what I support, then "If they don't have it they did'nt earn it" woul be accurate, because whoever "they" are could have earned it.
 15. I'm generally not fond of the practice of liberal piercings and tatoos, and not just because my friend's belly-button ring got infected two years ago. You're basically altering your body for fashion, or at least that's my take on it. It's the great difficult involved in reversing the action that makes me skeptical. And, personally, tongue piercings revolt me. How can ya'll talk like that?
 16. I've been thinking... I've decided I don't want to encourage others to vote, even though in a perfect world everyone would vote (and be informed on what/who they were voting for.) You see, the more people that don't vote, the more the strength of the individual vote increases. So, when I vote, my vote is made stronger by the apathy of others, and my ability to influence public policy increases. I can live with that.
 17.

Jinzo: Packs of Pharoah's Servant found in hobby stores. However, it's easier to get in a Joey holiday tin.
Dark Blade- It's a rare in Magician's Force
DD Warrior Lady-Dark Crisis
Magician of faith-Metal Raiders, or the Joey Starter deck
Buster Blader- Phaoroah's Servant, the duelist league, or a Yugi holiday tin.

 18. Both Marik pics are fake; Japanese Structure decks always feature a single card that was previously released, but has new art. That Worm Drake is the original version, so it can't be right. BEsides, I doubt they'd select that as Marik's strongest card anyway
 19. Go ask Al Gore if every vote counts. Not only should you vote, but, at the age most of us are at, it is imperative that you vote. Young voters are the most politically unreliable voting block in history, and therefore have no politicians supporting our interests. Congess panders to the elderly because they are the most reliable voting block, in terms of whether or not they will vote. It's important because several programs that aid the elderly are very, very expensive, and we're going to be left with the bill. I'm not saying that we do'nt need to support some of those programs, but we should have a say in the guys who basically have the ability to morgatge our furture.
 20. Alas, there is no Dark Sanctuary card, I'm afraid. 'Tis an invention of the anime.
 21.
Originally posted by PoisonTongue DeathBug, you tend to view things in only black and white, and have done so in the early half of your discussion here. Now, however, you are beginning to adopt matter of perspective. I'd clean up your contradictions before you decide to post again.
Begging your pardon, but I did not contradict. I used Mitch's word "perspective" to make a point that (I thought) detracted from his argument. In fact, my initial post in this thread was fairly ambiguious; there are only two things that I have stated in black and white terms: that I believe there is a definite meaning of "evil" that can be applied universally, and that Hitler was an evil man. However, the actual "line in the sand" where one can say "These things are evil, unforgivable acts, and we all agree that they are" is unknown to me. The acts I critisized were the murder of children and Hitler's actions.
Originally posted by PoisonTongue On the subject of Hitler, DeathBug, know your history. The German populace did not agree with Hitler on their own free will. They did not flock to him because they agreed on wiping out the world's populace. They supported him because he gave them false hopes of economic stability. You said so yourself. "Socioeconomic pressures." On top of that, Hitler was a very charismatic guy. Watch old footage of him. He knows how to work a crowd. That's why he came into power. Because he knew how to get people on his side. He saw opportunity and grabbed it. Desperation causes people to do bizarre things, even on OB. Don't play off the German following of Hitler as some...mass independently-derived support or consensual agreement.
I am aware of that. However, it seems you misunderstood the point; Mitch made the point that Hitler himself did not physically kill, but had others do the actions under his command. (Who shared his perspective, was Mitch's point.) Hitler made a point of eliminating (in various forms) his political opposition during his rise to power. There was dissent, but not enough to make a sizeable dent in his opperations. You say that they flocked to Hitler because of his promises to raise them out of depression. (Which I totally agree with.) However, to support someone and to continue to support them are different things. Although I am not sure what to classify the phenomena as, those who knew of Hitler's practices still followed his orders without fault. There are almost no cases of dissent. One of his camps (I cannot recall which) was located a mile from a civilian town. They knew what was happening and did nothing. A government cannot function without the consent of the governed. They gave him their concensus. However, all of this is tangenial.
Originally posted by PoisonTongue But back to gradation. HoD strongly emphasizes gradation of corruption. Come to think of it, "evil" should not be used. "Corruption" should be its common-day replacement.
If evil/corruption is gradation, what is the final destination of the gradation? I'm not arguing, per sae, but you don't say where it leads.
Originally posted by PoisonTongue Marlowe sees Kurtz's freedom, desires it, and ultimately achieves it. But throughout the journey, the Odyssey ;), he is conflicted. He consistently wavers back and forth between civilization and freedom. He consistently goes along the gradation of corruption..
i find it interesting that you should speak of Kurtz as "free", while I always thought his freedom was one of the biggest ironic twists of the book. Yes, kurtz is free, as was stated; he was free of the false trappings of civilization, and is now free to think, but what does he do with that freedom? He squanders it. He is now imprisoned by himself. He has the natives get more ivory, but he never puts it to use. He doesn't want to return to civilization, yet at the same time, he is disgusted by the people that surround him. ("Exterminate all the brutes", or something to that effect.) Everyone Marlowe speaks with thinks highly of Kurtz or his abilities; he could have been anything he wanted. In fact, it was Marlowe's curiosity with Kurtz that drives him to locate him. Kurtz could have been anything. Kurtz could have changed the world. And what happens? Kurtz dies ignobly, virtually unknown outside of the Company. Perhaps it is a difference of opinion, but that hardly seems the death fitting of a man who held such potential. Marlowe actually fairs worse than Kurtz, because he is forced to retun to society. He is disgusted and dissillusioned, and his independence and intellectual freedom has brought nothing but eternal dissatisfaction. I don't think that HoD is entirely relevant to good and evil, since it dealt with civilization and savagrey, and those are entirely subjective.
 22. Actually, the various power-up and protection abilities the aRchfiends have is what prompted the errata. Then again, how could KoA have known about Japanes cards that hadn't even been printed yet? And "Archfiend" isn't a type, it's a classification; they're all still "Fiends" to TIV.
 23.
Originally posted by CB Shin Well, at least we're trying to make a compromise (even though you say YOU don't need too  ). Surely being a lawyer has other privileges and rewards. You bust your arse for 3 years, but then take it easier, right? I think the hardest work you'll being doing in your entire law career would be education, so my point is it all balances out in the end. You certainly are a firm believer (and very strong-willed I might add) in your own ideas.
Actually, that's entirely false; I don't know of this "take it easy" firm you speak of, but the hardest part of being an attorney isn't law school, it's being an attorney. (Watch me tie that back into the topic) If being an attorney had other "Privilages and rewards" in exchange for hard work under a Communist or classless system, the system would be flawed, because I would be recieving a reward for addentional work. That would destroy the notion of classless-ness.
 24. Wow...if the best monster Marik has in his deck is Gil Gars, he's screwed. ^__^ Hope that's not the final pic. As for the US Evo decks, Kaiba's will have Kaiser Seashorse, which can serves as two tributes towards the summoning of a Light-type monster. (Making BEWD a 1-tribute monster, Moisture Creature/Gilford the Lightning a 2 tribute monster, etc.). Yugi has Black Luster Soldier, which is...really strong, I guess. That's really it for BLS. As for the rest of the decks, there are no other confirmed cards, but common sense says that many of them will be pulled from: LOB, MRD, MRL, PSV, and LON, seeing as those sets are no longer in print. Hopefully we'll get Regeki, Mirror Force, Pot Of gReed and others, so that the gap between rich and poor players will shrink a bit. After all, they've got to do something to balance everything out before the chaos Monsters arrive. CED....*shudders*....
 25.
Originally posted by Mitch As for you, Deathbug, you can have your opinions. I'm done with you. I've said well enough my opinions, I don't see any reason to continue just bickering over nothing.
If you knew me, you'd know that I find the process of debate just as entertaining and interesting than the debate itself. (Go ahead, ask me about communism...) If you decide that you're throught, that's cool, but I'm always willing if you ever wish to bring it back up. ^__^
Originally posted by Mitch Just know that from the replies to this thread, my perception of what evil is has been said over and over again. More people stand by me. Most people accept what I've said. They see it absolutely the way I've said it. They totally agree. That must mean that mine makes more sense, now, doesn't it? If the general consensus says my opinion more over yours.
Aww, no, Mitch, no... Never say "Everyone agrees with me, so I'm right"; that's one of the weakest argumenrs around. It just means that a lot of people are wrong.
Originally posted by Mitch Indeed. But you can have your opinion, whilst all others have theirs.
You mean a lot of people share your perception, don't you? Sorta' like a lot of Germans shared Hitler's perceptions.
