Originally posted by Digital Monster "Light at the End of the Tunnel" & "Winning Through Intimidation" was combined together in the US to become "Panik Attack". Every other country got the two eps seperately. There's absolutely no mention of a rape even in the manga as far as I know.
That is correct. But for some odd reason on the DVD, the episodes from Panik Attack were seperated into its rightful forms. The first episode being obviously known as "Panik Attack", and the second half being its Japanese name known as "Winning Trough Intimidation". Why they edited it for TV, but didnt for the DVD(KNOWING that it isnt nowhere near being uncensored. -_-), I have no idea.

I swear I thought seein them talk about releasing all of the Cell saga DVDs earlier this year. But then again, I could be wrong. :(
Originally posted by DeathBug Arkana: The Dark Magician is a card Yugi has a very personal relationship with. As such, he decided to only keep his own, and not take his opponent's.
Arkana? I'm guessin you mean Pandora(Arkana must be the dub name givin to him. -_- But yeah, he already had the Black Magician(I hate sayin "Dark Magician".)so he didnt want the other one(although he did use that Black Magician against Pandora to power up Black Magician Girl. Plus, he probably forgot about getting the other card aswell due to the fact that he was too busy worrying about Malik and trying to stay alive from that blade that was about to slice him in half.
But he does take a couple of cards towards the end from different players(and its not JUST one of the Kami No Cardo's)before his final battle with Malik.
You'll find out what those are...hmm, next year.
Originally posted by Bandit Joeykuba Anywhoose, I can't wait til next Saturday's episode.
I think that Mai loses her memory of Joey soon, according to what I've seen in the commercial.

That happens on the one that comes on at 11:00am. The one that comes on at 8:30 is a decent episode aswell. I just hope 4Kids doesnt screw that epiosde up like they did todays episodes. I swear, I HATE the way they edited the spike at the end of Malik's Sennin rod. They could've atleast kept the spike in there(look above at one of my earlier posts to see what its supposed to look like), that way you'd know the reason you heard that sound of a knife in the background. And that shadow realm nonsense has got to go. But eh, whatcha gonna do. Hopefully, the Alcatraz Tower and Doom Organization sagas will be dubbed by a different company. Hell, maybe even Funimation will take it over. They'd do a MUCH better job then 4Kids, thats for sure. And as far as Malik's voice goes...he's my favorite character EVER and all, but if I never seen him in the Japanese version and this would be all I heard....I dont know if I'd be the biggest Malik fan or not. Thank goodness I have ways of seein the Japanese eps(and Solo does now to, and I'm sure that he'll agree with me on this one. ^_^). I mean, his english voice is decent....but the Japanese one actually fits his personality and sounds a lot darker then this one. All in all, if I had to rate this dubbed episode in scale of 1 to 10....I'd give it a 5. The Japanese version I gave a 9 when I first saw it. If you saw the Japanese version, you'll know why there is such a rating difference between the 2 in my eyes. Eh, thats enough of my rant.
Originally posted by Gentle Out of all the DragonBallZ I've seen with 18 and 17, they seemed like they were a couple to me. Does anyone think that or something close to it?
...you didnt say. TELL ME, YOU DID NOT...JUST SAY THAT!! [/Booker T] :cussing: How DARE you talk about me like that. I would never, or would I EVER THINK about incest!....oh, wait a minute. You didnt know. My B. Anyway, Juhachigou(Jinzouningen 18) and Juunanagou(Myself..er, Jinzouningen 17) are twin brother and sister. So yeah, now that thats taken care of, and I dont EVEN want anyone to talk about incest in this thread....there is only one thing left to say.

Dag, I'm surprised no one started a thread on this yet, and the DVD's been out since Tuesday. But anyway, I guess I'll start it. Well, bein the huge fan of Scarface that I am, I bought the 20th Anniversary DVD(with my Blockbuster discount of course), and I must say that they remastered this DVD VERY well. Kept all of the good scenes in there and all that. Plus, the deleted scenes werent that bad either. Some of em were pretty friggen funny to be honest(mainly that first deleted scene that they showed.) But other than the movie itself, I have to say the best part of the DVD was the Def Jam Presents: "Origins of a Hip Hop Classic". I mean, the way that this movie impacted guys such as Scarface the rapper himself, Snoop Dogg, Trick Daddy, Mobb Deep, and everyone else in it was just simply amazing. Plus you gotta love the way that they talked about all of the scenes in it, and talked about his rise and his downfall. But all in all, the Scarface 20th Anniversary DVD is definetly a must get for any Scarface fan. Now, since I didnt have much at the time, I didnt get the delux gift set yet. But I definetly will be so I can get my hands on that Monogrammed Money Clip and the original 1932 version of Scarface. Plus those Collectible Lobby Cards. The gift set is also a definete must get. So who all has this DVD so far? And for those of you that have it and this is your first time ever watchin the movie, what did yall think of it? Well, I cant wait to hear what yall got to say about this one. I'm out. Peace!
Originally posted by JCBaggee There are edited DVDs, but I don't think there are Unedited versions of the VHS.
I just said that there were unedited versions of the VHS. You just wont know until you actually get ready to pay for it unfortunatly. And the only reason that I'm gettin only the VHS versions instead of the DVD is because I already have all of the GT eps in Japanese anyway(thanks to them Fansubs...damn, I miss fansubs. :()
-
Well, you wont know if its cut or uncut until you actually pay for it. I had to find out the hard way when I bought 4 of the tapes, and then afterwards I found out 1 of em was $5 more than usual. I thought it was just a defect in the computer, since they all looked the same so I just thought "What the hell. Its just $5. Might as well pay extra". Then when I got home, I opened the tape up, and on actual tape itself, it said (UNEDITED). So thats the only way you're gonna find out if its unedited or not because it doesnt mention it on the actual cover. -_-

Yeah, we had this topic a little while back, but I dont feel like lookin for it. So here's my favorite tracks. "Voice" - Yu-Gi-Oh! SECOND opening(dont get it twisted. There was a season before this. It only had 27 eps, but still.) "Shuffle" - Yu-Gi-Oh! Third opening(forever a classic) "Wild Drive" - Yu-Gi-Oh! Fourth opening "Warriors" - Yu-Gi-Oh! Fifth opening "As hita Moshi Kimiga Kowaretemo" - Yu-Gi-Oh! First ending "Ano Hi No Gogo" - Yu-Gi-Oh! Second Ending Obviously so far, you can tell that my favorite songs comes from my favorite anime which is Yu-Gi-Oh! ^_^ "Sayonara Bye Bye" - Yu Yu Hakusho second ending "Taiyouga Mata Kagayakutoki" - Yu Yu Hakusho third ending "Daydream Generation" - Yu Yu Hakusho fifth ending "Hohoemi No Bakudan" - Yu Yu Hakusho opening "You Can Fight" - Transformers Generation 1 Japanese Opening "Burning Overdrive" - Transformers Carobots (AKA RiD) Opening "Love Forever: For The Sake of Protecting You" - Transformers: Beast Wars Neo Opening "Super Voyager" - Transformers: Beast Wars II Opening "Heart of Sword" - Rurouni Kenshin Ending "Thesis of an Atrocious Angel" - Neon Genesis Opening "Dearest" - InuYasha current ending(Man, I'm sorry but everytime I hear that song, it brings a tear to my eye) "Fukai Mori" - InuYasha second ending(we all like this one. ^_^) "My Will" - InuYasha first ending "Rhythm Emotion" - Gundam Wing Opening "Invoke" - Gundam Seed Opening "See You Space Cowboy" - The extended remake of Real Folk Blues in the final ep of Cowboy Bebop "Hikari No Will Power" - Trunks' Theme in DBZ "Biggest Fight" - Goku's theme...I guess in DBGT(because it was in the DBGT game. *shrugs*) "We Were Angels" - DBZ second ending theme. "Spirit Vs Spirit" - Gohans SSJ2 Theme Well, there ya go. I have a good bit of others, but those are just the ones I listen to the most. ^_^ Edit: For some odd reason, this sensitive board edited "As hita"(together), thus I had to seperate it. *shrugs* lol
Originally posted by ssjBrolli lol Hahahaha What is this world coming to eh? They'll learn about it sooner or later why not on a show that they'll enjoy?
My sentaments exactly. Oooh well. Folks are too sensative when it comes to stuff like that, but when it comes to other stuff(which wont be mentioned. Dont need no fightin. lol), they're not sensative enough. *shrugs* Note: I hope this didnt change the subject. lol
Originally posted by ssjBrolli Or right now. They changed the letters on the Destiny Board. Instead of it spelling Death it spells
Final
I have no Idea why. I hear cause it would affend some kids.
I know they changed it to Final(no need to put it in spoilers since its obvious). I just wanna see how the fix it in the actual show for myself. See how sloppy it looks. lol But the reason they changed it from what I heard is because they dont want nothin to do with "Death", "Heaven", "hell", or anything realistic(spirtually that is)in the show because they say "kids dont need to know about that stuff yet."
-
Alright...they just got finished showin the newest ep of Yugi Vs Bakura here, and from what I've noticed, 4Kids is more sensative then I thought. I mean, they edited stuff that didnt even need to be edited. I mean stuff that wouldnt offend no one. They edited half of the bingo/drawing lots sequence, they took the phrase "Duel Disk" off of the blimp, they put the wrong flash back scene in there when Jounouchi(Joey as you know him) was talkin to Bakura(it was supposed to show when Jounouchi fought Bones. Not when Bakura fought Bones), and finally...they took the baby doll with the cracked head out of Dark Necrophile's hands. Plus, the part where Dark Necrophile was melted by the Dark Magician Girl and they edited the sounds of the mouths and eyes opening.. There was plenty more, but thats the main ones I could remember. Man, if they're gonna edit that much, then I'm scared to watch the rest of it. Of course I'mma watch it though, but yeah, I'mma do like I did today. Have the Japanese ep playin on my comp wit the volume down, and watch the english version on my TV(thats the great thing of havin your comp and your TV in the same room. ^_^) Now dont get me wrong, the ep was hot, but you need to watch the Japanese eps of this 3 part battle to see why its one of my favorite duels of all time. You definetly wont see why in the English Version, especially when they use the Ouija Board of D.E.A.T.H.....erm, well "Destiny Board" *shakes head* next week. I wonder how they're gonna fully edit that. I guess I'll find out next week.

Anime Couldn't DragonBall Z's animation be better ?
Jinzouningen17 replied to Pagan's topic in Otaku Central
Originally posted by Transtic Nerve You want bad animation, watch Gundam. Most of the earlier series, Wing, G Gundam, and X have some of the worst animation ever. Any anime made before 1998 seems to be lacking.
*Raises from the dead* Wait a minute now, Gundam Wing, G Gundam, and Gundam X had some good animation. I'm sure you ment Mobile Suit Gundam, Zeta Gundam, and them other earlier Gundams had horrible animation. But yeah, Dragonball Z did have some pretty rough animation, especially on a couple of episodes such as the final battle with Cell and Gohan, the first episode of Heaven's Tournament(when Goku and Pikuhan went to hell to fight Freiza, Cold, Cell, and the Ginyu Tokusentai{Force}), but most of the other animation was pretty decent. But not as good as GT like TN said. But we gotta remember, DBZ was made between 1984 and 1993. So yeah, you gotta expect the animation to be pretty rough. Atleast the animation is nothin like the old school animes such as Lupin III, Voltron, etc. I mean, dont get me wrong, the shows were good, but the animation was...you get the point. -
Well, I just got finished lookin at episode 90(first part of Malik Vs Mai)in English(sources will remain unknown. ^_^), and it was hard for me to believe how they were able to edit half of that stuff. But here is what you were probably wonderin about that episode. Obviously its a spoiler, so if you havent seen that ep yet, then dont bother highlighting it or viewing the pic until you've actually seen the episode.
In the dub version, when you saw Malik walk up to Rashid(Odion), it showed a part where Rashid was laying there with his eyes closed and you heard something sound like a sword in the background. Well, if you're wonderin what that was, in the Japanese version, it shows Malik pull his sennin(millineum)rod apart into a blade. In the Japanese version, he was going to cut that symbol off of Rashid's face(well, I honestly think he was gonna kill him like he did his father). Uploaded is an actual image of what that scene was supposed to look like.
Just thought I'd let ya know incase you were wonderin what that sound was. ^_^

*sigh* First of all, welcome to the boards. But anyway, make sure you read the rules, that way you'll know why these type of threads are not allowed. Anyway, once again, you know what time it is.

Anime Who is the strongest sayajin of them all?
Jinzouningen17 replied to Oji ryu's topic in Otaku Central
http://www.otakuboards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=23976 Yep yep. -
Man, thats a friggen shame. They edited WAY too much from this saga. I swear, beginnin wit the Battle City saga(or atleast on the "Aftermath" episode), they need to start comin out wit uncut DVDs like they did wit Dragonball Z. I mean, have the edited 4Kids version regularly on there, but then have the option to get the uncut Japanese version on there, about like they did with the Dragonball Z DVDs. Its a shame that they edit out soo much, and for those of yall that dont even have access to the Japanese eps(like I didnt at one time, until a friend told me of a site where...nevermind. ^_^)and cant see what REALLY happened in the show. Ooooh well. Well, since yall are that far ahead, the next eps yall should be seein is the Noah saga(which is mainly filler, and is like 22 episodes of complete nonsense. Sure, it tells why they're havin the finals at Alcatraz tower, but still.
MALIK'S NOT EVEN IN IT!! At all.
Thats the worst part about. :( I couldnt stand goin 22 episodes without my favorite character.), so let us know how they do that. Not much to edit there since the setting is somewhat like Duelist Kingdom, so yeah. Dont forget to let us know how the english version of that turns out. ^_^ Fixed spoiler tags -Solo

Okay, one more thing I gotta know. In the episode entitled "The History of the Ishtars"(which is the ep right before "Battle of the Yamis",
how do they explain Malik's father's death? Do they show when Malik took the millenium rod and killed his father?
Or do they just make up somethin stupid for that scene? In the original version,
after Rashid is whipped to death(well, not literally, but you know what I mean) by Malik's dad, Yami Malik wakes up for the first time. He goes and grabs the millenium rod, blasts his dad against the wall, and then he rips his dads chest open with the blade on it. They dont show that scene, you just hear his dad screaming. And then afterwards, it shows Malik's dead on the ground, with blood all over the wall and a little bit on the blade of the millenium rod. Then right before Malik could go kill Ishizu, Rashid wakes up, yada yada yada, Malik is back, and then Shadi's ghost comes from Malik's dead father and then tells him somethin about the Pharoah.
How much did they change from that? Oh yeah, one last thing. How is Yami Malik's voice? Does it change like Yami Bakura's and Yami Yugi's? Or is it the exact same as his normal voice.
-
Heres what goes down in the original version....
Durin the "One Turn Kill" scene, Yami Malik starts chantin some ish(basically begins to speak in tongues.). He then fuses with Ra leavin just a piece of his eye on the field while the rest is merged with Ra. When Ra fires off, he destroys all of Bakura's cards and then sets him on fire. At the same time, regular Malik is basically burnt to a crisp and then vaporized...well, not exactly. He goes within Anzu(Tea)and that is his new dwelling place until the Alcatraz tower saga. In the mean time, Bakura is still on fire, but then the fire vanishes. As the fire vanishes, Bakura vanishes with it, thus is the last we see of Yami Bakura for the rest of the Battle City/Battle Blimp/Alcatraz tower saga. In all of the eps after that, I havent seen Yami Bakura once.
And thats it. ^_^ Also, on another note, what do they do wit the Rashid scenes? Whenever
Malik walks up to Rashid's bed, turns his millenium rod into a blade, and gets ready to kill him, but is always stopped
? Do they ever mention the word "kill" or do they even show those scenes?
