As a matter of fact, its not even violent. When I said the "brave enough to show it" thing, I was basically makin fun of 4Kids due to the fact that they cut out soo many good scenes, and I wouldnt doubt it if they cut that scene out...but they cant because then we wouldnt be able to see how the true Ma...nevermind.
Originally posted by JCBaggee Actually, I think "Super Botuden 3" is one of the many Dragon Ball Z fighting games for the PS1, though it was only released in Japan. I could be wrong, though. --Chris
Actually, it wasnt on PSX/PS1. It was only on Super Nintendo. All 3 Super Botuden's were on Super Nintendo. As far as PSX games only released in Japan, the only one that I've seen is DBZ Legends(which I got, but was only able to play it on my comp because on my last comp, I had Connectix VGS on it.). As you know, UB22 and DBGT: Final Bout has both been released here in America, so all we need to get now is DBZ Legends. Once we get that, we'll have em all. I pray that we get Legends here in the states because that is quite possibly the best DBZ game on PSX. If yall havent plyed it, if it gets released here, you had best get it. I guarantee that you wont regret it. Definetly a very fun game. As far as the theme for Majin Buu that you downloaded, if its the one 2:02, and it sounds a bit dark and demonic, then you're talkin about the one from DBZ Ultimate Battle 22(that Majin Buu theme is quite possibly the best one I've heard. ^_^). I didnt realize that it was for that game until I had bought the game and got to the very end and I was like "What the hell!? Its my Buu theme! :D" But yeah, you're more than likely talkin about the one from Ultimate Battle 22. Very awesome theme indeed. And the reason it probably said Super Botuden 3 in your RealPlayerOne is probably because it was on the Super Botuden 3 soundtrack which they did release. Half of the songs on there werent even from that game, but from the Ultimate Battle 22 game.
Originally posted by Youko Minamino Did they really cut out Jounouchi getting his *** kicked, and just show him mysteriously end up on the ground?
Unfortunatly, thats exactly what they did. Same wit the Rare Hunters. Joey was standing there with a smile on his face, and then the Rare Hunters were gettin up...but how did they get down in the first place? (I know since I have the subbed episode, its just stupid for the people around here not to see it.)

Anime Dragonball Z Movies : Advice Wanted
Jinzouningen17 replied to Goku213's topic in Otaku Central
This thread seems more like one of those "What do you like best" threads, and unfortunatly, we dont accept those threads here. But I will tell you this. All of the movies are good, but there are only 2 that you should avoid, and those are Movie 4(Slug Movie), and Movie 11(Bio-Brolly movie). The only reason you should get those 2 is if you're gonna do like I did and just collect em all. But if you're not a collector and just want somethin to watch, then dont get movie 4 and 11. If you REALLY wanna see 4 though, then get the tape in dubbed format. They actually gave that movie a little bit of descensy(wit the new music and everything). But the plot and everything is just horrible. So just avoid those 2, and get the rest. Everyone else would more than likely tell you the same thing. ^_^ Well, anyway, topic closed. -
Man, these quiz threads have been HIGHLY over done. If you want to do a quiz, then just bring back this one. http://www.otakuboards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=10401&highlight=Quiz Half of the questions people will ask have already been asked in that thread, so yeah. Topic closed.

Yeah, but unfortunatly, they BUTCHERED this entire episode. I mean come on, they edited the actual fighting wit Jounouchi and the Rare Hunters. I mean come on now, why edit the fighting? Its not like people havent seen someone kicked and punched before. Sure, I can see them editing the blood comin from Bakura's arm(which they still never did mention how he got hurt. ), but editing some punches and kicks? Now thats just dumb. The owner of 4Kids just needs to go hang himself. *shakes head*

*Shakes head in shame* Man, Hulk Hogan could've done ALOT better to disguise his identity of bein Mr. America. I mean, just a regular blue mask with a big *** white star on it? What kinda bull ish is that!? But the rest of the outfit actually looks pretty decent. Plus he's coverin up his bald spot now. But that mask is SOOOO old school. He looks like Mr. Wrestling #1(old wrestler from like the 60's and 70's) or somethin wit that mask on. lol No one wheres masks wit the pointed nose anymore. *shakes head* Other then that, Smackdown was pretty decent tonight. My favorite part of the whole night though would have to be that little rhyme my boy Brian Kendrick did against John Cena. And that referee up there bein the human beatbox?! Now that was hot. :D Also, the little angle they got wit Los Guererros and Team Angle is pretty hot. I love how them Guererro's keep stealin Team Angle's stuff. I may actually get Judgement day just to see those 2 teams wrestle....nah. I aint about to spend another $40 on a PPV. I'll just wait and see if it turns out to be a good match, and then show on the New Years Eve edition of the WWE. But we'll see what goes down. But all in all, pretty decent show of Smackdown. I just wish Kurt Angle would come back soon(well, get better soon. I miss Kurt already. :( )
Originally posted by GhostofSalvtore News on Austin In a WWE.com interview, Steve Austin states that he's done with in-ring wrestling. He claims that his match with The Rock at WrestleMania was his last match. Austin actually blames his neck problems for the cause of his walkout last year. He said that while political issues and creative problems were the straws that broke the camel's back, they were not the root problem. Austin says that his neck has been bothering him for a while, but he doesn't openly discuss his health conditions as he wants to save face. Austin says that he could end up serving in the GM role for several more years as he doesn't want to leave WWE TV. While he seems to be done with wrestling, Austin did say that this should not mark his official retirement as one should never say never in this business, and he could come back for a match or two; possibly at WrestleMania XX. He was happy with his match against Rock at Mania, and wouldn't mind calling that his final match.
Well damn. And I thought Austin was supposed to start a feud wit Goldberg in June(or July. Cant remember when they said). Oh well. Hopefully Austin can pull this GM thing off, atleast longer than he did last time against Shane and Vince(a few years ago). And speakin of his neck, I wonder if his neck is botherin him because although it was YEARS ago, maybe he still hasnt gotten over that messed up piledriver that Owen Hart(RIP)gave to him at Summerslam 97. *shrugs* Who knows. All I know is that I'mma miss Austin in the ring, but you know he'll still come out and beat people down like he always does. :D

I'm lookin at a rerun ep of Yu-Gi-Oh! right now, and they just showed a commercial for new eps of Yu-Gi-Oh! beginnin this comin Saturday(beginning wit the tag team duel we talked about earlier.). So we'll see if they'll continue to show new eps all the way through the Ouija Board Conflict wit Yami Yugi and Yami Bakura(then we'll see how many sensitive parents start complainin over nothin. )

You know, on this certain subject, it made me wonder about a few things. Since like you said, some of these "soccer moms"(I HATE classifyin people by religion like most have done, because in my view, religion has nothin at all to do wit this. So I think I'll just use the old school term of "soccer moms". And so you know, thats not degrading those that play Soccer. I respect yall that do so. As a matter of fact, lately I've been gettin into the sport a bit. But this is just an old school term for those that try to find evil in EVERYTHING, even little things like shows on PBS and what not.)pretty much say that Yu-Gi-Oh! is evil, is this probably the reason that they havent dubbed the rest of the series just yet(or maybe its just because they just havent done it yet. But I was just thinkin about this yesterday). Meh, spoiler warning ahead. Its not really much of a spoiler since I'm not talkin about who wins or whatever, but its still somewhat of a spoiler none the less. Reason I say this is because yesterday, I was watchin a Japanese ep of Yu-Gi-Oh when
Yami Yugi and Yami Bakura were against each other, and in episode 2 where a Ouji board came into play.
And as we all know, in the past, there has been ALOT of controversy over the Ouji board. Obviously, I honestly think that this ouji board nonesense is fake, but still, there are many people out there that believe in that stuff and well, think that its really evil. So maybe, 4Kids(bein the idiots that they are), decided not to dub the rest of the series(which unfortunatly, may turn out to be like the second season of DBZ where it ended with a certain episode, and then went back to the first episode of the saga and kept runnin reruns from now until someone else picks it up.). I mean, from what I watched so far(which I feel the rest of the series is the best anyway), there is alot of stuff that I personally feel is gonna be somewhat hard for them to edit.
Bakura cuttin his arm, Yami Malik killin his father and always tryin to kill Rashid, the Ouji board incident(IF they decide to edit that),
and all sorts of other stuff that I'm sure most of these ignorant...let me rephrase that. Ign'ant people will complain about sooner or later. So, is this quite possibly the reason they decided to stop dubbin the rest of the series? This thread got me thinkin about that when I was watchin a few of the eps(wont tell my source. ^_^)yesterday. Again, like I said, IT'S JUST A SHOW, but unfortunatly, those people that think its evil have alot of pull on things, thus could quite possibly be the reason they decided to rerun things. But then again, maybe I'm wrong and they're just showin reruns to get people caught up before they show the rest of Battle City. *shrugs* But this quite possibly could be the reason. A little somethin to think about. :D

Well, since the question was answered, I guess theres no need for anymore discussion(since it'll more than likely turn into a Funi-Bashing thread). Besides, this could've been mentioned in the "Official DBGT Dub thread" that I made. ^_^ But anyway.... Topic closed.

Yu-Gi-Oh! is just like Magic, Dungeons and Dragons, Harry Potter, yada yada yada....ITS JUST A GAME/SERIES!! Its fake, its not based on anything real. Its not evil. Now you talk about the shadow games, think about what you just said real quick. Shadow "Games". Its just a game bruh. Its not like that stuff can happen in real life. If stuff like that is considered evil, then Skeletor from He-Man would be evil. Space "Ghost" would evil, hell Cinderella would be evil(hey, that has magic in it. Bibidi Babidi Buu! ) Personally, I just think people get too deep into these things, and when they see something like that become a phenominon, they wanna try their hardest and bring it down(not sayin you are, but theres people I run in to that are like that.) Thats pretty much what it is. When people see something get big, they'll try to find the littlest things just to bring it down. They did it wit Disney, Dungeons and Dragons, and anything else that you can think of. Hell, I've ran into people that said Dragonball Z was evil, and that was within the past weekend at work. JUST because they have special powers and what not, they think its evil.) But people know that Yu-Gi-Oh! is about to become the hottest thing since buttered toast, so they're gonna try their hardest to try to find the smallest little thing, make it be considered evil, and all that other bullcrap(atleast I know all them Soccer Moms will...no offense if any one actually has a mom like that.) So NO...Yu-Gi-Oh! is NOT evil. Its just a TV show...its just a card game....its just a video game...ITS FAKE! Make believe. We aint gonna go out there throwin cards at each other, chantin crap tryin to make a Blue Eyes White Dragon appear...although, that would be hot. A Blue Eyes White Dragon come out and destr...*ahem*. But no, Yu-Gi-Oh! isnt evil. Dont look soo deep into things mang. *takes a deep breath* Well, now that I've ranted on all this "TV bein evil" stuff, I can just chill now. ^_^ Note: I wasnt takin this on you bruh. Its just the fact that I've come across alot of this lately. *shrugs* But I aint mad at ya. Wasnt tryin to start nothin or what not. Man, I got nothin but love for ya. I just basically said what I wanted to say to all of these people that look too deep into things(those that come into my job and start talkin all this crap about certain things.). You know how it goes man. But like I said, got nothin but love for ya, and if I offended ya in anyway...then I'm sorry. *extends hand*

Anime How did you get to like Yu-Gi-Oh!
Jinzouningen17 replied to LastSheikah's topic in Otaku Central
Man, I'm replyin to an old topic, but oh well. This is my first time seein it. ^_^ But anyway, I got into Yu-Gi-Oh! by watchin the show. The first ep I saw was one of the eps where Yugi was against Kaiba(towards the end of Duelist Kingdom. Yes, I was behind.). When I saw Yami and Kaiba against each other and I saw how Kaiba was willin to let himself get killed by Yami, just to save his brother, and then suckered Yami and defeated him, then I knew I was hooked. But what got me deep into Yu-Gi-Oh! was definetly gettin them Japanese eps of Battle City. I was finally able to get my hands on atleast 15 or so eps of Yu-Gi-Oh! so far(still lookin for some more), and I must say, I have fallin in love wit the show. If you view my personal website, you'll see how much I've fallin in love wit Yu-Gi-Oh!. ^_^ As a matter of fact, I had to go ahead and get the majority of the openings and endings of Yu-Gi-Oh! for myself since I love the songs so much(especially "Shuffle" and "Ano Hi No Gogo") The main reasons you can say I love it is because of Kaiba and the 3 Yami's(Yami Yugi, Yami Bakura, and Yami Malik...ESPECIALLY Bakura and Malik. :D) But yeah, since I saw the Japanese eps of Yu-Gi-Oh!, I have basically fallin in love wit the show. And all though I HATE to read, I'll probably still order some of the mangas just to add to the collection(since now that I have all the eps of Dragonball Z, its time to change to Yu-Gi-Oh! and Yu Yu Hakusho. Get those entire collections. ^_^) -
Anime The Official Dragonball GT Dub Thread.
Originally posted by AJeh Wait, I guess I was wrong... we got it different, lol. Our beginning doesn't show SSJ4 Goku, or Vegeta in any of it o_O And I've been thinking recently...'Step Into The Grand Tour'.. maybe that isn't the intro music on ours? Our song starts off with 'In another time and place/Scattered all over space/We've got to find them all/Gotta find those dragonballs' So is that the music you guys got? And uh.. our ending shows moving pictures of Trunks, Pan, Goku, and Gil. Yeah, and we got the first episodes included too ^_^
I'm guessin that yall got the "Blue Water" dub(if you're watchin it on CNX anyway. I'm guessin you live in the UK or Canada or some place like that.) Yeah, I heard that they're pretty much finished wit the series as it is. Plus, their voices and openings and endings are completly different from ours. About like DBZ was(they had different endings and beginnings aswell. And lets not talk about the voices. lol) But yeah, thats probably what it is. Yall got the Blue Water dub. Funi's version hasnt been released on TV yet(wont be until this fall from what I heard. We gotta stick to buyin the tapes and DVD's until then. I'mma be buyin tapes anyway since I already have all of the Japanese eps on tape as it is, so theres really no need in gettin the DVDs). -
Originally posted by Endymion Destroy pieces of the planet with these attacks... Android 16 - Hell Flash
Boy, aint that the truth. But I wouldnt just say he blew up a piece of a planet wit that move. I was usin Juurokugou one time against...I think it was Imperect Cell if I'm not mistaken, and we were in a plain, beautiful place(like the place where Cell found Juuhachigou, Juurokugou, and Kuririn standin at durin the Cell saga). Next thing I know, I was pushin a bunch of buttons and all of a sudden, I did that Hell's Flash move and the entire screen flashed at me. Next thing I know, it looks like we're fightin in a wasteland. When I did that, I was like "OOOOOH SNAP!" Thats one of the main reasons I still get that game is because of moves like that. I havent tried the rest of em, but I keep wantin to use Juurokugou just so I can do that move again(which I've only been able to do it 3 times. :( )

Thank you for the information, but next time, please either e-mail, pm, or instant message the administrators or somethin about this. We all know about the special and everything, but no one has had the chance to write up the synopsis for this yet. Well, unfortunatly, this thread has to be closed. But hey, thanks for the info though. Maybe we'll use some of that for the synopsis. :)

Meh, they can edit that pretty easily. The only part that they'll may have a hard time editing is at the end
when Yami Yugi kills Yami Malik, which they could probably go DBZ on us and say that Yami Yugi sent Malik to another dimension. Or they could just say that Yugi obliterated(sp?) him. *shrugs*
But they could possibly edit the parts about death pretty easily since no one actually dies. The one part I'm waitin to see how they edit is when
Yami Bakura slices his arm. What are they gonna do about that? When he's layin in the hospital with a bandage over his arm, are they gonna say "Bakura fell down and scratched his arm." or some crap like that.
All I know is that they'd BETTER dub the rest of the show, even if they fully get bought out by Funimation(keep the same dubbers, but be fully under Funimation's control), come out wit uncut DVDs, and be fully moved to Toonami....hey, all that would definetly be a good thing. ^_^

Anime The Official Dragonball GT Dub Thread.
Jinzouningen17 replied to Jinzouningen17's topic in Otaku Central
Well, looks like its that time for me to finally post a review on the first Funimation DBZ tape which I just purchased today from Wal-Mart(actually, I got 2 tapes for only $9.99 a piece. Pretty good deal if you ask me. ^_^) Well, I'm currently lookin at the first tape again, and I must say, I am highly impressed wit these dubs so far. I hate to say it so soon, but I'd have to say that they're dubbin this better than DBZ. The voices fit the characters lovely. Giru's voice sounds almost identical to his Japanese voice, Rirudo's voice sounds MUCH better in english than it did in Japanese, Bebi's voice sounds sadistic as hell! I love his dub voice, especially when he says "Sai...ya....Jin". He says Saiyan at first, but then he says "Sai...yan....jiiiiiiiiiiiin." Its awesome. Goku sounds alot like Gohan(well, obviously since its the same VA), Goten's voice sounds pretty decent, Pan's voice sounds almost identical to her Japanese voice(not exactly, but somewhat close), Trunks has the same voice as Mirai No Trunks in the Cell Saga, Pilaf and his peeps still sound the same, and so does Popo, Dende, Gohan, Chichi, Bulma, Ubuu, and everyone else. Grown Goku also sounds the same aswell. The only voice that I've heard that I dont like too much is Dr. Myuu's, but hey, he does sound like a geek like most scientists. lol Okay, now wit the flaw...which I must say is the only flaw that I've noticed, and thats that they skipped the first few eps. They did show a clip from the very first episode though, but it was somewhat as a flashback. What had happened was they began wit the ep where Goku, Pan, and Trunks were on M2 and they were fighting them robots, Goku and Trunks had gotten captured and gas came out of the robot and was about to put Trunks and Goku to sleep. And then Goku says "And all this...because of one...selfish..wish.", and then it went back to the very first ep where Goku was wished back to a kid. They also showed a flashback as to when Pan got involved on the ship, how they found Giru, and all that other good stuff. They pretty much turned the first few eps into flashbacks. So basically, they pretty much caught everyone up on everything that went down before they started lookin for the Dragonballs, so no one would be lost. But I bet that they'll show those missing eps on Toonami. If they dont, then this will be one very short series(as if it already isnt is.) Now, back to the good stuff. The bg music is pretty hot. It doesnt sound like anything Faulconer would do. Sounds MUCH better. Done by some kat named Mark Menza(who I just realized did the music to the past 2 DBZ movies. I also bought DBZ Movie 7 today, and I'm watchin that now before I go to bed, and the intro to it sounds pretty hot. ^_^). But the music is really awesome. As a matter of fact, the music sounds a bit better than the Japanese version. And now about the opening. As I posted, and it is true, the opening is "Step Into The Grand Tour"...BUT, the way they did it was pretty hot. They made their own intro usin clips from the series. I love the way they had Goten as an SSJ power up at the very beginning of it. And they FINALLY put me(Super Juunanagou)in an intro. Also, SSJ4 Goku and SSJ4 Vegeta are in the intro aswell as Bebi, Li Shenron, and a good bit of the other peeps in DBGT. But the intro is pretty hot. The ending is also different. No "Dont You See" or none of that. Its their own ending showing clips of DBGT, with the instrumental of "Step Into The Grand Tour" playing int he background. No fighting in the ending, but just the guys stairing at stuff, like Goku and Vegeta standing side by side, Goku looking down as an SSJ(you know, where you cant see his eyes), Dr. Myuu standing there looking at you, SSJ4 Gogeta sitting down looking at the death ball coming towards him, Bebi in Oozaru format staring at you, Ubuu looking at hte Death ball coming down, and then the sun going down(okay, I just gave away the entire ending sequence. lol) But to cut this short, all in all, the dub of DBGT so far is pretty hot. Only flaws I saw was the skipping of those few episodes, and Dr. Myuu's voice, but in my view, those are only tiny flaws. The episode thing they'll probably fix on Toonami, but who knows. But regardless, the dubbing of DBGT is awesome so far, and is definetly worth for you to pick up a copy of the VHS(DVD if you want it, but I doubt they'll catch you up in the Japanese version like they did in the dub since obviously, they didnt do that in the *** version. ^_^). But its definetly worth watchin. I cant wait until the next tape comes out. And thats my review on the Funi DBGT dub so far. I'm out to finish watchin the dub of DBZ Movie 7: Super Android 13!. Well, Peace! Edit: Oh yeah, I forgot to add, they do call the Dragonballs the "Black Star Dragonballs" just like it was in Japanese. ^_^ -
Well, I for one dont own this game yet, but I usually rent it constantly since I have free rentals at Blockbuster. But, it is definetly a fun game. I especially love Cell's hiddin ending on there
with him accidentally absorbing Krillin and then transforms into Krell or Cellin or whatever you wanna call him. lol
. The game play was very nice in my opinion. The main thing I personally loved was the alternate endings, not only Cell's, but Frieza's aswell. I still havent been able to defeat it wit Vegeta yet. I can beat Goku and Krillin. But right when I get to Gohan, and as you know your energy doesnt go up after each fight, I get hit by Gohan 4 times or less, and I'm dead. :( But personally, I think the game is pretty hot. Maybe the second best DBZ game to be made(the best is still DBZ Legends for PSX.). The storymode is definetly what put this game up as one of the best in my eyes since it goes through the complete storyline, and also offers alternate endings. Very nice game to say the very least. If you havent played this game, I highly recommend that you do play it atleast once.
-
You can save yourself a good bit of money and just watch it on Encore Action this coming Wednesday night(and it'll be airing a few other nights on that channel aswell.). ^_^ Just thought I'd inform ya about that. I may take a look at this anime aswell, since it'll be airing a few times on that channel this month, so I know I'll get to see it atleast once.
