I've been a big fan of Angel's ever since it started coming on. In some ways I think its superior to the Buffy series, in that it dealt with some darker subjects and wasn't cluttered with so many alternate storylines. I've seen just about every episode, except the last few from last season. Thankfully TNT is showing re-runs on Tuesday nights; giving me a chance to catch up. I'm really enjoying the new season, mainly because Spike (my favorite character) has been added to the cast. Oh and the whole thing with Angel
now running Wolfram and Heart
, is turning out to be one of the best, and funniest, storylines in the show's history.:D And by what I've seen of the 100th episode, its gonna be pretty interesting too.

Heh...guess I'll post. The first two are a bit rough around the edges, but can easily be fixed with a little bit of work. I have to say my favorite out of the three is the Sesshomaru pic since it has more detail. All in all they're all good. Keep up the good work.:D

Yeah the old Twilight Zone show was pretty cool, and has influenced many other shows. I have to say my favorite episode is the one with William Shatner on the airplane. "Terror at 12,000 feet" I think its called.
Its the one where that guy kept seein' the monster on the wing of the plane, and everybody thinks he's crazy.
The movie rendition of that episode was good too, with John Litglow playin' Shatner's part. In fact, I liked the Twilight Zone movie a little bit better than the series. But thats just me. Its certainly better than that new Twilight Zone show, that came of UPN. :D

Heh, Digital Monster is right, Vegna gun was a weapon left over from the ancient machina war. Heh, so its safe to say it was built before FFX. As for the Magus sisters, all you have to do is deplete their HP with your attacks.......:D But it is best to focus all of your attacks on one sister and defeat her, preventing their Delta Attack Overdrive. Other than that, thats all the advice I have for ya.

Ahahaha! The Panthers won the Championship, beating the Eagles 14 to 3.:D All in all it was a good game, but I was surprised to see how uneventful it was. There wasn't any overtime, like last weeks game, the Panthers just went out there and beat em'. Oh well, its nice to finally see the home team go to the Super Bowl, especially since they were the worst team a couple of years ago. But there is gonna be a drawback now that they've won. I just know the local radio stations are gonna start playing that stupid Carolina Panther rap constantly.:(

I wouldn't go as far as sayin' its awsome, but it is pretty interesting that they've brought back a classic character that few people have heard of. Hmm...maybe its all just a big marketing ploy.:therock: Anyways, from what I've seen from the official site, Van looks pretty cool. He's kinda got an old school matrix look mixed with The Shadow. From your story synopsis, it seems to have the potential to be a good movie, unless they go all hollywood and screw it up. :D

Anime The movies you have to have to be an anime god
WW2 replied to Megumi momo's topic in Otaku Central
An anime god? Who would ever want to be such a thing?:therock: Oh well, I do have a few titles that any hardcore anime fan should have. First off, its best to have the classics: movies such as Akira, Vampire Hunter D, Ghost in the Shell, My Neighbor Totoro, Grave of the Fireflies, and possibly Ninja Scroll. These are some of the biggest titles that many consider to have revolutionized anime into what it is today. Some other good movies to have are: Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust, Metropolis, Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away, Macross Plus:The Movie, Cowboy Bebop: Knocking on Heaven's Door, Escaflowne: The Movie, Spriggan, and.....well thats pretty much all I can think of right now. All in all the titiles listed above are some of the best and well known anime movies out there, and would be great additons to any anime fan's collection. But then again, thats just my opinion. :D -
Well I'll have to agree with Asuka, there isn't really anything wrong with the pic. The shading and detail you've used is all good, I really like the wings.:D The only problem I see is the left cheek of the girl's face. It seems to come inwards too soon, and should be a little more rounder. Other than that, its a great pic. Keep up the good work.

Well I've seen the first episode of Jing, it came with a Newtype mag., and I found it sorta interesting. I really liked how Jing could fuse his bird buddy to his arm, and make that gun thingy. For me, its just about the only thing that really stood out. The humor in the show was also a nice touch, but kinda odd, like the useless skeleton dude at the opening of the episode. What was that all about? All in all I think its a decent show, but then again I've only seen that one episode, so I may be wrong.:D

Ok, I wrote this short story as an assignment in High School, and I think its good enough to post. I really don't consider myself a good writer, but I don't let that stop me. So, don't be surprise if there are a few mistakes. With all that out of the way, I bring you the first part of this story: The Intro.:D The Dark Quest Come; listen to my story, a story of great warriors and of horrible beasts. It is a story of an epic journey into darkness and despair. This tale transpires in the kingdom of Galia, a beautiful land surrounded by high, snow capped, mountains to the north, and a dark, baleful forest to the south. It was in this forest that evil was spawned. A horrific pack of beasts known as the Drozen had laid siege to the great kingdom and its people. They?ve slaughtered many of Galia?s warriors and the villagers not protected by the castle walls. This conflict between the fearless knights of Galia and the Drozen has spread over seventeen years, leaving only the strongest of men alive. Our story begins in the fall of the seventeenth year of the war. The kingdom is mourning over the most recent battle with the Drozen in which their king and many others were injured. King Speigal and his knights managed to drive the blood thirsty beasts back to their woods, insuring a little time before the next inevitable assault. But for now the warriors rest, make preparations, and pray for the speedy recovery of their bed ridden king. The king lay in his chambers, under the watch of the kingdom?s finest physician and his son Van. The prince watched, silently as the doctor and his assistants treated his father?s wounds and eagerly awaited their diagnosis. Soon the sun set and the doctor finished his work. ?You may all leave now. There is nothing else we can do,? the old doctor informed his assistants. The assistants then slowly gathered their instruments and exited the chamber with their heads hung low. The doctor then motioned for Prince Van to come over. ?What is it Doctor Lee? Will my father be all right?? Van asked. Lee sighed and turned to the young prince. ?I?m afraid he has suffered a serious blow to the abdomen. A Drozen blade breached his armor and was plunged into his stomach.? ?Can he survive such an attack?? Van asked, staring at his father?s bandaged wounds. Doctor Lee lowered his head, ?I?ve done all that I can, but he is slowly dying even as we speak.? Van clinched in anger, ?Damn those heartless demons, they?ve already taken one of Galia?s kings and now another? When will it end?? ?Soon, I hope,? Lee replied, as he walked towards the door. ?I?ll now leave you here with him.? Van watched the doctor leave the room, closing the door behind him, and then turned to his father. ?Father, can you hear me? It?s me, your son.? He then kneeled next to the king?s bed, awaiting a reply. The king then groaned and opened his eyes. ?Van, why do you have such a look of sorrow on your face?? he asked, staring into his son?s eyes. ?A man like you shouldn?t have such a look, it shows weakness.? The prince smiled and quickly removed his grieving expression. ?Listen my son, soon death will come to claim me and I will leave you and my people. It is up to you to lead them against those foul creatures and help bring an end to this dreadful war. I know it will be hard, but that is your duty as Galia?s new king.? King Speigal then stopped and cringed in pain. ?My time is near. If you need help in you duties as king, Sir Duncan will be there to guide you. He has always been such a good friend.? The King?s words began to come slower as he started to lose consciousness. ?Fight well my son, and free our people from despair. I leave it all to you.? The king then became silent and his body lifeless. ?Good bye father, I shall do my best to honor your wishes and to become the king you want me to be.? Van then stood and closed his father?s dead eyes. He then turned away, slowly walked out of the room and down the dark, stone hall way until he came upon Duncan. ...thats it for now. I'll post the second section, once I get a response or two.

Well I've heard of the movie a while back, but have never seen it. Hmm, was Nicolas Brendon (Xander from Buffy the Vampire Slayer) in it? I heard some where that he was in a movie like that, with a similar title. Oh well, I'm not a real big fan of slasher/horror B movies anyways, so I'll probably have to skip that one.:D
-
Well I bought the final volume yesterday, and watched it. Like I suspected it did reach an enigmatic ending, but a pretty good one.
Although it did kinda suck seein' some of the main characters be accidently killed.
But I was happy to see
Elsie/Babam get a cap busted in her.
All in all the series was a really great, full of deep/confusing storylines with plenty of twists and turns. Oh and the mecha battles were very well done also. The Rahxephon itself has become one of my favorite mechs, even thought it is actually
a god.
:D I can't wait for them to bring the Rahxephon movie over here.

Depressed? Angry?...leaning? Um....yeah...I meant to do all that.:shifty: Heh, as for the medium I just used the normal paint program to color the guys, and used photoshop to edit and spruce it up a bit. Oh, and thats an actual logo.:D
-
Well I was bored so I decided to make this pic or the LP guys. I got the idea from the back of their Hybrid Theory CD. Heh, I had some trouble getting it to fit on this site, so it may look funny/small. Oh well here it is.:D
-
Well I do my best to stay active on long vacations like this. I usually draw or work on some computer art, to occupy my mind, and keep my skills sharp. But the bad thing about this is that I come up with so many ideas for drawings, that I can't finish them all. Oh well. I also like to chat on AIM and search the net every now and then. But I'm trying to stray away from that now, with college starting back up and everything. Thats pretty much all I do to fight boredom, but sometimes even all that isn't enough to prevent it.:D
-
Well I could probably come up with some character designs, but I don't know about drawing the manga. Heh, I really won't have the time, once college starts back up. I could also help with some of the plot elements, if ya want.
-
Heh, back in high school my friends thought up quite a few stupid nicknames for me. My real name is William, but some how they started calling me Steamboat Willie.....what the hell? I guess they got it from that wrestler Ricky Steamboat, or something. Thats about all of em', unless you count BannerWood. They liked calling me by my middlename for some reason, maybe its because its unique. Oh well I sorta liked that one, I'm even using it as my AIM name now.:D

You should deffinately buy the game, if you like street racing. My brother bought it last week, and we've been playing it like crazy. So the fun factor is pretty high. The major highlights of the game is customizing your cars, and the different types of races, my favorite being the drag. All in all its a solid game.
-
Well I'm not gonna get any anime as Christmas presents, but I'll probably buy some with all the money I'll be getting. As for what to buy, I haven't really decided yet. Of course I'll have to buy the final volume of Raxephon, so that I'll have the complete set. I might start collecting the Ninja Scroll series, since the I liked the movie so much. The first two volumes are out now. Oh, and I guess I'll go ahead and buy the DBZ movie about Brolly. Thats pretty much all I can think of right now, since I already have just about every anime I like.
Originally posted by CompletelyRando The person silohuetted by the moon is mistifying me though. Is it Vincent? Or some new character?
Well the text that's with the pic mentions Vincent's name, so it might be him. But I'm not good with Kanji, so I don't know what it really says. As for the new trailer, all I could get was audio. Oh well, it probably had a bad camera angle anyways.:D
-
Hah! You actually bought that! Hahahaha:laugh: Heh, I'm just kidding 'Tales of the Meiji' is a pretty good story arc, just not as good as the previous 2. Maybe its because it deviates from the manga. The main highlight of the arc is towards the beginning,
the Son Of God story
, while the rest is just a bunch of different short stories. All in all its not a bad buy, especially if you're a RK fan like me. I already bought the entire series a while back, before CN started showing it.:D
-
Well here's one of the old banners I made. Heh, I don't make many, don't have a good program, but I try.
-
Well I'm at Chapter 5 right now and only have 67% complete. Heh, I'm trying to rush through the game since I'm renting it. I'll have to go back and do everything when I buy it. As for the game itself, I think its great. The story is well put together, the fast paced battles are a nice change, and seeing what all has changed to Spira is really neat. Well I'm gonna go on and jump down into the final dungeon now, gotta kick
Vegnagun's a**
, wish me luck. :D Hmm, I think thats the only spoiler thingy I had. Tip: When you obtain the Cat Nip accessory (dropped by the second boss in the Bevelle underground sidequest), equip it to Yuna(Gunner). Then whenever Yuna's health is in the yellow, use Trigger Happy Lv.3 and each shot does 9999 damage points. This should make short work on many of the stronger enemies.
-
Well I've seen the trailer for the series, and it seemed to have more panty shots than Aria and BurnUp combined. Heh, I guess thats the major premise of the show: Super spy, panty shot, action. They've even gone so far as to add a special pair of panties to the Najica Blitz Tactics box set, released by ADV. Thats...um, a bit freaky.:therock: But thats just my opinion.:D

I still remember the Christmas themed episode for the old Robotech/Macross show. I don't know why, but that episode has been one of the memorable. Maybe its because of the Zendrati suicide bomber dressed up as Santa, or the scene with Max and Miria kicking a**.:therock:
