I have to say one of the best moments is during the Saito/Kenshin fight at the dojo. I really liked it when
Kenshin and Saito lost their swords, and just kept on fighting. It was just cool to see the two of them to keep goin' at it, weaponless.
It really showed each one's determination to kill the other, no matter what. I also really liked the scene
where Kenshin used the double Amakakeru Ryu No Hirameki on Shishio. Sure the first swing missed, but the second on connected, and sent Shishio flyin'.

Originally posted by DeathBug Okay, here's a question: In the last episode, "The Big Fight",
Alan Gabriel is killed by Big Duo, because he's not who BD desires as a dominouce. Now, during the battle, Roger says that Schwartzvauld couldn't control Big Duo either, and that it rejected him as well. I thought Big Duo did want Schwartzvauld as its dominouce; that's why, even after it was defeated and Schwartzvauld was no longer piloting it, it headed towards the Paradigm Industries building, to tear it down the way Schwartzvauld had wanted. Or was I wrong?

Yeah, what you said is true. BD
killed Alan because it considered him to be guilty. If BD didn't want Schwartzvauld as its dominouce, it would've done the same to him.
I guess Roger didn't know what the hell he was talkin' about.:therock:
Originally posted by Magdalena You must have been really bored. Why did you use Chiller for a font?
Heh, yeah there wasn't much to do that day. As for the font, I used Chiller because its frightning that a big, muscle bound, Austrian actor, with no political experience, could obtain the status of Governor of a state. .:nervous: We're all Doomed!!

Some of my friends dragged me to this movie, the other day. I didn't really think it would be any good, and I was partially right. While the movie did have some bad acting and predictable scenes, it also had some really impressive gunfight scenes, along with the most zombies I've seen on the screen at one time. The gunfights were Matrix-like, but had their own unique style. Well, in the end these fight scenes, although mindless, were pretty much the best thing about the movie, besides getting to see Clint Howard in another horror film.:D So did anyone else go see this movie? Or was I the only one? :therock:
Originally posted by moonlight angel I wonder then, why the theme song is in Japanese sometimes?
Heh, the theme song is in Japanese sometimes because its done by Puffy AmiYumi, one of my favorite Jpop bands. They sing both the english and japanese versions of the TT song, and have even put it on their new CD, "NICE".:D

Masters of the Universe rules! Me and my older brother used to collect the toys back in the 80's and early 90's. We had just about everything. As for the new show, I think its great compared to the 80's cartoon. I really like how they modernized the character designs, without changing who the character was. So far my favorite episode is the one with Cobra Kahn. He was always one of my favorite characters. Hopefully in the new episodes they will introduce the Evil Horde. They were really cool.

Well I was bored, so I thought I'd make an arnold banner. Here it is. I think I made it a little text heavy, but oh well. Beware of the Governator!:D

Heh, I've seen them for sale at Suncoast, but haven't tried them yet. Most of what I saw was chocolate, which sucks since I'm allergic to chocolate. Hmm, maybe I'll try those Yan Yan things out, when I get the chance.

Yay! Someone finally wrote something with me in it! Plus, I've got a black Toyota Camry, which is so much better than my little white Toyota truck. Well the story is good so far, I'm interested in seein' how it progresses. I look forward to the next entry.:D

Well, there are so many great fights, I can't really choose a favorite. The Spike/Vincent fights in CB: Knocking On Heaven's Door are some of the best I've seen. They are wonderfully coreagraphed, and beautifully animated. I also really liked the Veritech fights in Macross Plus. The final duel in the end, has to be one of the best mech fights ever. Oh, and who can forget the Kenshin/Saito fight in RK? Its dark and fluid animation made it one of the best. I'm sure I can think of some more, but I don't want to start rampling.:D

Anime The official Samurai X (not Rurouni Kenshin) thread. WARNING SPOILERS
WW2 replied to Magnum Apex's topic in Otaku Central
Heh, Samurai X: The Motion Picture wasn't really a RK OVA, since it was made by the same people who did the series. As for the real OVA's they were awsome. I first bought Trust/Betrayal back when they were first released a couple of years ago. This was before I even knew what RK was. After watching it, I was hooked. I don't think there was anything I didnt' like about the series. Then I was really surprised when I first started watching the RK series since the violence was really toned down, and some comedy was added. But I still loved it, and went on to buy the entire series. Oh, and Reflection was really good too. I was happy to see Enishi, finally animated. Even if it was only for about 15 minutes. The ending, although sad, was also very good. A fitting end to a great series.:D -
From what I've seen, Kill Bill looks pretty good. Tarantino obviously stylized this flick after the Japanese Anime and Hong Kong Kung Fu movies. You can see the anime aspects in some of the character designs, such as the white haired lady with the eye patch, and the Japanese school girl withe ball and chain. I've also learned that there will be a short anime cut scene in the movie somewhere. Oh, and the great Sonny Chiba is gonna be in it a little. He's supposed to play a swordsmith, or something. After seeing all the previews, I still have one question. Why do the yakuza guys wear those funny black masks?:therock: Oh well, I hope it'll be as good as Tarantino's other movies.

Whoa this movie just keeps looking better and better. I really like how they recreated the church, with the flower garden. The shots of Cloud and the Sephiroth look alike, fighting in the ruins of old Midgar, are awsome. Oh, in the shot of Cloud at the beach, you can see the destroyed Junon canon in the mist. Gah! Must learn more! :wow:

Well "the other guy" is called Big Boy. Yeah, his single "I like the way you move" is pretty catchy, especially after you hear it a few times. But I still like Andre's song better.:D

Well the sequel may have been canned, but there was a spin off series. I think the name of it was "Angel Links". It was set in the same universe as OS, but didn't have any of the main characters in it. As for OS, its one of my favorite animes. I liked it so much, I bought the entire series on DVD. My favorite characters were the McDougal brothers. They were so cool, especially
after Harry got his cybernetic body.
Oh, and the hot springs episode wasn't so bad. It was just full of major fan service. But I was also the funniest episode, in the entire series.:D
Originally posted by craig8429 But doesn't that seem odd to you either? I mean he looks alot younger in that picture then the others....
Yeah I noticed that too. The guy also isn't wearing the same outfit as Sephiroth, its a different. Maybe he's just one of those Sephiroth clones, or something. Or maybe it is him, who knows?:D Hmm, I wonder who the person in the wheelchair is. Hojo, Jenova, Tifa, a walrus with a tophat? I guess we'll have to see.

Um......yeah.:therock: I don't remember seeing Catwoman dressed in that costume, ever. It just looks trashy, and the mask is somewhat laughable. What Batman movie is this for, again?
as for the "stops being a summoner"...DUH! If I remember correctly (and I do) the aeons were sent and the fayth lost their power at the end of FFX, no more summoning period.

Heh well what you said was true but never the less there is some weird stuff goin' on in the new game.
In one of the many trailers for the game, we see Bahamut emerge in front of the 3 girls, ready to kick a**.
I don't how this is possible, but I really want to find out. As for the game, it doesn't look as good as FFX, but it does have some cool elements. Elements such as the return of the Job system (dress spheres), and the old ATB meter.:D Too bad you can only play as 3 party members.

Personally I prefer manga. I don't know why, but I just find it more enjoyable to read the story, instead of just watch it. Manga leaves more to the imagination. With manga you get to create the aspects of the story in your mind. Aspects such as the characters' voices, sound effects, movements etc. Anime creates these elements for you, and all you have to do is watch how other people interpreted them. For me, thats not quite as fun.:D

Heh, if you don't know, Outkast is the group that did that "Sorry Ms. Jackson" song, not too long ago. Well, now their new CD has came out, and I think their new sound is really cool. They seem to have mixed the old funk sound together, with modern Hip Hop, and the result is some really good music. My favorite is "Hey Ya", it's uplifting beats make it awesome. Oh and the video is great. So, is any one else here an Outkast fan?

The Patlabor movies are actually pretty great. They have really good animation, storylines, and music. Probably the only reason your friend didn't like the first movie was because the story was too complicated for em'. Its full of turning points, puzzles, and intrigue that goes on, but thats what makes it so good. That, and the awsome Labor fight at end.:D Oh, and so far there are 3 Patlabor movies. I've seen the first 2, but haven't yet seen WW3.

Yeah, from what I've seen, it doesn't look too good. But I seen a few screens with Moogles and Chocobos in them. Do they actually apear in the series? Hmm, why do they even call it Final Fantasy, if it has nothing to do with the games? They first did it with the movie, now this series.
-
I didn't think Mayer was any good until I someone brought his new CD to art class. After hearing it, I have to say he's pretty good. I like the first track the best, but I forgot its name. I also like "Bigger than My Body", has a pretty good sound also.:D

Well, I just learned that ADV will be releasing the Final Fantasy: Unlimited anime series this October. If you don't know, FF:Unlimited is an anime series released in 2001, and was made by the same people who did Blue Sub No.6. All I know about the series is that it has nothing to do with the previous FF anime (Legend of the Crystals), nor the FF CG movie. I really don't think it follows any of the game storylines either. Does anyone else know anything about this series? If so, what does it deal with?:therock:
Originally posted by Xai Though it's kind of wierd since it's going to be 2 years after the game. I was under the impression that
they all died(except for Red, of course) in the end.
FF7 had an open ending though, so I guess anything's possible.
Um... why do you think
they all died at the end? We clearly see them escape the northern cave on the highwind. We then see Meteor be stopped by the lifestream. So, its a good bet they all lived. That part about Red XIII happens about 300 hundred years after the game.
Just thought I'd let ya know. :D
