1. I think its more of an AI matter rather than biology... they seem kinda too robotic to have some sort of biological aspect if you ask me.
  2. Pbfront... I also live in NJ... in the little town of Fort Lee... right over the bridge to get to Manhattan... and as I recall, there are some other OBers from NJ...
  3. Like I said, easiest will be to get a zubat since its poison/flying and fighting attacks really do nothing against those types. Or you can get ralts as Kanoske suggested. I personally used a high level combusken to beat them at their own game :D
  4. Either way, I consider Evangelions to be mechs too. Sure, they have their own soul, they are also biological, their armor is simply for binding them, they sometimes move on their own, etc. etc. But they still require a pilot to operate at full potential. No pilot = weaker Eva. Its a mech.
  5. Try capturing a sableye if you're in sapphire. They can't do anything much against ghosts and if they use foresight, switch and switch back. The easiest way to beat them, however, is to get a zubat or golbat since fighting does 1/4 against poison/air.
  6. Sorry, WW2, but being the Eva fan that I am, I will have to go with Eva. But I personally like Eva Unit 05-13 because of their sheer power, regenerative capabilities, and
those awesome lance of longinus they carry.
Second to that, I think I prefer Eva Unit 03 when it was
infested by Bardiel.
I think that form was probably the strongest out of all the Evas.
  7. Who else but Vash the stampede :) THe klutz, the hero, the master gunman... hehehe.... hes definitely the best cuz he fills in soo many roles by himself.
  8. Again, that is up to your interpretations. Some people believe that those who had the will to stay separate from others, those who were strong enough will come back very much like Asuka did.
  9. Anime is good not because it isn't like the "Justice League" aired on Toonami right now. That is basically just action-adventure. Anime has action-adventure, but usually has a deeper underlying meaning which the author(or creator) is trying to convey. Anime puts more emphasis on the story telling and conveying the message, so I like it alot :)
  10. LoL. A lot of people tend to have that opinion concerning the ending of EoE. But I like it. I prefer the EoE ending because even thoughts its apocalyptic, its done beautifully and brings the full-course of Evangelion down to what it was intended to do, and does not betray the expectation of an apocalyptic battle to end all. And its not really that dark or hopeless or whatnot. Its a new beginning.
  11. Ohh... lol don't worry... its normal for an average human mind to be fried after they watch EoE. Basically,
SEELE planned for humanity to merge together and form one entity, with each and every soul filling in the gap of another. Something like a god, to complete humanity. However, with the interruption of Gendo, the one who held the key to the success or failure of human instrumentality fell into the hands of Shinji because he was the pilot of Unit 01. However, Shinji rejects the instrumentality because he felt that the emotions he felt when he came into contact with the other characters(Kaji, Misato, Rei, Asuka, Touji, Kensuke, etc. etc.) were real, and that the instrumentality was nothing more than escaping. With this rejection, everything came apart, and thus that huge Rei/Lilith collapsed and kind of... died. Where the people are, or why Asuka is there is kind of up to your own interpretation of your series, but I'm guessing since Asuka was independent and strong enough, she was able to come back(and Shinji also loved her). But like I said, its up to you to decide. But anyway, what was intended as armageddon and the creation of "god" ended up being a new start, with Shinji and Asuka being something like Adam and Eve.
12. Umm... can you be a bit more specific? Like which part of the film? Its basically about apocalypse, creation of god, and everything falling apart at the last second cuz
Shinji rejects the Instrumentality project
13. Well... I guess its probably because anime presents a different atmosphere of story telling than say... live-action, books, etc. There are somethings better done in drawing than by actual people. But aside from that, its usually the action and the storyline which becomes the deciding factor for me.
  14.
Originally posted by mirai_torankusu Vash would simply outgun everyone else without even trying. He was born with abilities far beyond those of a normal person
Wrong. Vash
lived for 150 years ever sine the Big Fall. He has been in numerous shoot-outs since, and his scars do not attest to him being incredibly skilled from the beginning. Even though its a bit different, you see a flash back of Vash's past in the manga and you see images of Vash getting shot, Vash mistakenly killing someone, etc. etc. He was not born that way.
15. The one thing which never fails to piss me off is someone who constantly whine about how they are goign to fail a test, then get back an A- paper, then start bawling about how they failed... while i also have an A- and I'm pretty satisfied...

    Trigun

In case anyone was wondering, I was the one who spoiled Trigun for QA *sorry yet again*. But anyway, to answer some of the questions. Adding on to what Shinji-Kun said about
Knives making the gun, you also see in the flash back episode(eps. 19? not sure) Knives going into a crashed ship. Vash waits outside for more or less a year, and when Knives finally comes out, he hands Vash the gun. In the Trigun manga, a guy by the name of Bill Conrad creates the angel arm in both Vash and Knives, and the arm is much more deadly and versatile compared to the one in anime.
And Knives lives at... well... they don't say in the anime, but they do in the manga(but then again, they follow different storylines). In the manga,
Knives has one huge airship and a crashed ship which looks like a castle with three towers. He takes residence in one of these depending upon the situation.
Millie's child... is simply a matter of opinion and interpretation i can't help you there.
  17. I've seen that picture a number of times browsing through some different Japanese eva otaku sites, and from what i gather, its definitely fan-art. And besides, it says 2002 on the poster... now its... 2003... its nothing official. Its fanart.
  18. Whoa quadruple post.... I wonder how long its gonna take before Q.A. or Shy or H.C. comes with a warning post... Use the edit button on your posts from now on to avoid that... But anyway, Legato really is not a minor character... he appears pretty often... and hes a key character in the series.
  19. Meh... this is kinda pointless cuz Vash is undoubtedly the best gun fighter in terms of skill. But then again, if you consider the overall person as a gun fighter, Vash is way too emotional and vulnerable in parts. I prefer Wolfwood cuz he will kill if his life is threatened.
  20. Actually, Shinji has friends... Toji and Aida... and Toji is not dead in the episode... I think he only lost his right leg or something. Him dying is only in the manga.
  21. In the Evangelion manga, there seems to be more of a relationship building between Rei and Shinji instead of Shinji and Asuka... but then again, Shinji isn't freaked by Rei just yet (
he didn't find out about the clone part
) so there might be a bit more relationship building between Shinji and Asuka later on.
  22. Meh.... I never bother with the stupid roulettes. I find it much faster and much more entertaining to squash the elite four or gabby and ty and rake up quick cash to get whatever I want -_-. Roulette is a waste of time if you ask me.
  23. Well... EoE is basically the finisher for what they started in DaR. And yes, I think Shinji was
an emotional wreck at that point so I guess it fit in. He liked Asuka, but he couldn't tell her, he just murdered his best friend, he is afraid of Misato and Rei, and the only one he felt comfortable with, Asuka, is now in the hospital. In the state of mental turmoil his love for Asuka(and his hormones) made him masturbate while looking at Asuka's naked body.
And once you get to EoE, get ready to have your brains blown out and all your nerves fused  one wicked movie I tell you...
  24. Post counts really don't mean much. Someone can have 500 + posts consisting only of mindless rants, flames, insults and such. On the otherhand, someone with around 50 posts may have posted intelligent, well-thought out comments or suggestions. Post counts just indicate how long that specific member has been on otaku boards.
  25. Actually... its not really humorous. Ever heard of the "Iron Maiden"? In japanese, there was really no way to translate it except in the form of "Girlfriend of Steel" which was then translated to English and ended up as "Girlfriend of Steel". Get it?
