Never get caught seeing Evangelion eps. 20 - 26 or the movies "Death and Rebirth" or "End of Evangelion". I guarantee that all parents will dislike that.

I am more outspoken online. Approach me with the same topics that I get in OB in RL, and I will either present nothing or will be indifferent to it. I guess I just hate the confrontation part where opinions clash and arguments begin. I hate doing that in real life, as I suck in it. I prefer to do it online where its less... stressful.

The one who don't 'hit first' are responsible most of the time for the antagonist's actions? Whoever starts the fighting is the one without the logic and the one thinking irrationally. At the point that the antagonist attempts to make a blow, you are under the category of self-defense. The one who doesn't 'hit first' may be the one who provoked it, but the one who buys that and starts a fight is the bigger fool.

Okay... people, Bushido is dead. Having it back in place is not exactly a good idea... under that whole honor and stuff, there are stuff such as class, seppuku, and what not... even though some of the disciplines in the Bushido might be good today, having it back will not exactly be a good idea. And guns are superior to any form of fighting. No use denying it. Its there, and its the superior. Guns are not futile. And yes, guns take less skill than swords. It doesn't matter how hard it is, but the point it, as long as you aim and pull the trigger, the other guy is dead. Swords are not easy as you make it out to be. Just randomly swinging it is pointless. My point is that the value of life is deteriorating as history progresses because now, it is so much easier to take life without hearing the death cry or the blood. Technology makes taking life easier nowadays. I do not support taking life in any form, but guns are making it much easier to do so.

Another good example of a plot hole is that the calender on the wall in Misato's apartment in Evangelion is from the year 1996 or something :p Anime freaks search for these plot holes with vengeance and obsession -_-

Good for you WW2! I think the value for human life has severly detiorated nowadays since all people need to do today is to aim and pull the trigger. I think people held more value for life when they had to cut the enemy down with a sword. Back then, you would have heard their anguish and pain. Now, the guy's dead with one bullet. The only time I actually think guns take skill is like in those wild west movies... the quick draw thingy. But those are still rather simple compared to actual combat with weapons.

Yeah but compared with the past... i think its somewhat peaceful. You really don't have to worry too much about learning swordsmanship or learning how to fight in order to defend yourself. All you need to do today is to buy a gun... point and shoot.... technology made mankind rather weak without ... well... technology....

Eva trilogy... hope not... if thats the case I hope it sux cuz I don't want Hollywood ravaging Evangelion... but then, a part of me wants it to be incredible..... still haven't made up my mind yet -_-

Gracefully ties in religion, philosophy, huge robots, teen mental developments, some big angels, and the end of the world. Good storyline, unique perspective, awesome action, and above all, it makes you think. :angel: Best Comedy Anime - Trigun. Kudos to Vash the Stampede for making it incredibly funny and serious at the same time. Meh, it is comedy cuz Vash is in it... he's just too strong and too crazy. Best Romance Anime - I don't do romance so N/A here. Best Drama Anime - Meh... all anime is drama included... N/A Best Action/Adventure Anime - This definitely goes to Rurouni Kenshin for its awesome combat scenes. Shishio, Saito, Enishi, Aoshi... the combat scenes are just awesome and breath taking. Best Mecha Anime - Er.... NGE yet again even though those aren't really mecha... Anyway, the huge variety in the enemy angels and how the EVAs deal with it is worthwhile to watch. Best Fantasy Anime - Inuyasha :) Cool combat scenes and nice bunch of demons to go with it. The [spoiler]recovering the jewel shard [/spoiler] quest and most of the demons that appear in the series are actually real Japanese myths so its cool :D Best Horror Anime - Theres horror anime? never seen one N/A Guess the closest is Vampire Hunter D Blood Lust... Best Male Character - Vash the Stampede... how can you not like him... hes stupid, has awesome guns, is the best shot around, and decimated a city :devil: Best Female Character - Rei from NGE :angel: So cute and soooo.... cold/innocent... (okay, maybe not innocent) Best Soundtrack - Rurouni Kenshin for me here.. Just personal preference. Funniest Character - Vash the Stampede(who else?) Biggest ***$hole(the one person you hate the most...) - Leonof the Puppet Master from Trigun... He wants to eradicate humanity, thats badass. You really won't find 'The' answer for Evangelion. Everyone interprets differently, and we all have our different answers. Anyway, here are my answers... [spoiler] 1) The second impact happened because humankind tried to contain Adam into an embryo form. Adam was effectively contained, but at the sacrifice of half of the world's population. However, SEELE was willing to take that risk since Gendo knew it was going to happen and left Antarctica the day before. How they contained Adam is a mystery. 2) Rei is a clone of Yui Ikari, imbued with the soul of Lilith. Many people have their own views on this and its debatable -_- 3) The aim of the angels? First of all, angels were the 'other' possibility of humankind. While we chose the fruit of wisdom, they chose the fruit of life. We have technology, they have seemingly godly strength and vitality. Since they were immortal, they only had one of themselves. Each of the angels are related to humankind and thus related to each other, but they were each alone in their own respective... 'species' if you will. They are lonely. They want to steer the course of evolution, they want to take control of the third impact. Human beings chose the fruit of wisdom and they are not immortal, but they can reproduce. Angels can't because they are immortal and do not need to. Therefore, I think they want to create more of themselves by steering the course of evolution by controlling the Third Impact. 4) What happened at the end of EoE? The Third Impact happened. However, the course of the third impact was given to Shinji because Rei chose him over Gendo. He rejected the Human Instrumentality, one big entity composed of all the human souls, assembled to fill each other's void. He felt that the pain, the anguish, the anger he felt through his encounter with each of the characters in Evangelion was real. He realized that the Human Instrumentality was nothing more than denying reality. Therefore, he rejected Human Instrumentality, and effectively, human history has restarted. [/spoiler] My suggestion to you is to watch Evangelion a couple of times... you definitely will NOT get it on one sitting.

Yep, Battle Royale became a movie(I think two) in Japan... Its very graphic... but I love it :)

Anime is for all ages... manga, anime, Japanese animations are not the same as cartoons and intended for kids... American parents need to get that through their head... watching anime is NOT childish.

Umm... I have some doubts on how the heck Hollywood intends to make the angels, Evas, and the battles on CG... on top of that, the I don't think any actor can fill in the spots of Rei, Shinji, Asuka, Misato, etc.... And Evangelion is much deeper than Mario Bros. =P And I did not say that Anime make u open minded =P

A 'special' bond between two or more people formed because of their similarities in interests, hobbies, etc. This is not always the case since some people are complete opposites and can still be friends.
