Anime Damn you 4Kiisamas!!!! What have you done?!
SadClown replied to Youko Minamino's topic in Otaku Central
^^ No Sonic series will ever be as good as the one they had on ABC about the same time that Reboot aired somwhere like 6 or 7 years ago. You know, the one where they lived in the forrest and Dr. R kept turning everyone into machines. That was a good series! =D -
^^ Sailor Moon was my first real love. I have 15 tapes of the original Japanese TV show. I also have several of the manga. Naoko Takeushi is one of my favorite Mangaka's. I think her artwork us beautiful.

^^ Learning to ride a bike is just as hard I'm sure. Be thankful you don't have the Driver's Ed. teacher I did. She made several girls in my car cry and I almost parked the car on the side of the street and got out becuase she kept calling me the worst driver she's ever seen. Ha, too bad I passed my test on the first try. Dumb *****.

^^ I bought the first FlCl manga way back in February. It's just as confusing as the anime, but the animation is neat. Very different than most Manga styles. I'm dissapointed that I didn't know it was coming to Cartoon Network. Guess I should watch it more often.
Originally posted by PoisonTongue I do very much dislike you. You act like a whiny and melodramatic little girl.
LoL, classic. They are right though, you acctually have to know about poerty before you write it, and even though I'll give you an A for effort, rhyming the last words or each line reminds me of something out of Mother Goose, and anyone can write like that. Poerty should have a beat to it, like music in a way. When you read it allowed, you should be able to feel that beat. Thats one reason writting poetry is hard, becuase you have these boundaries to stay within. Try writting something with a simple rhyme scheme like: ABAB CDCD EFEF GG

This is a topic thats been debated many times before. Personally, I just like to keep in mind that it's a COMIC and it's not real. So the rules are different.

^^ Transtic, you beat me too it! DAMN!

^^ Don't rely on other people to tell you your own self worth. And certainly don't take things people say about you over the internet to heart.

^^ I think that's a lame exsuce; passing the blame onto the parents. You might as well blame the DMV for giving liscences to people who get into car accidents. Parents can't watch everything children, especially when we live in an era so dependant on the internet. Everyone should be held accountable for their own actions. If they want to sing offensive songs about killing people, then they need to understand it will have an effect on impressionable minds who may not understand what exactly they are doing. And if they can't accept that, then they should stop making whatever it is they make, cuase it's not music.

^^ Those "Punk Goes Pop" covers are awful and I think they're meant more in mocking than anything else... I also heard Evanesence covered Garbage's "I'm Only Happy When It Rains". Those bastards...

Does anyone like rave, techno, or trance music?

^^ Sometimes there's a reason that bands are mainstream, becuase they have talent. :) BTW, EVERYONE needs to d/l the song "Eurphoria" by an Industrial/TripHop groulp called Collide. It's really good. My song of the day! -
^^ Yea? Well you can take that cookie and stick it up your... ;)

I went two years ago when it was in WA. It was fun. I stood right next to Good Charlotte; eventhough they are an awful band. The heat was sweltering so it didn't make for a perfect day, that, and the fact that the venue it's always it is three hours away in the middle of no-man's land...

^^ I got Mono a week before my Senior year of Highschool and let me tell you, it sucked so bad. My throat swelled up so big that I couldn't breathe if I layed down, so I didn't sleep for 3 days straight. I couldn't eat, I couldn't drink, but I wasn't throwing up at least. One night my fever reached 101 degrees and I had to sit in a cold bath for half an hour untill it went away. It was the worst experience of my life. At least I got over it in 3 weeks.

No problem. I'm surprised that more people on this board don't listen to Jrock. As for Moby, he's done a lot of Electronic Tracks before, but you won't hear them on MTV. All that stuff is a complety different genre. I think a lot of people just assume that if it has a computer beat to it, it's automatically music you hear at a rave; which you wouldn't, belive me. =D -

Orgy is not techno. They're what's called "Industrial Rock", like Marilyn Manson. There's a huge difference. But I think they kick *** too! =D If you like that style of music, you should check out some Japanese Visual Kei bands, a lot of it's a similar kind of music. -

^^ I wouldn't considor remixes to be techno anyway. -
^^ I agree, I love that movie. It's one of the best examples of 80's anime in my humble opinion.

^^ Techno is a genre in itself; one that a lot of people haven't heard before, but think they have. If anyone is intersted in hearing it, I recommend Franky Bones, Adam X and Mistress Barbara. As for a techno revolution, I think that's already past; at least where I live. Seattle had a very booming Rave Scene from the early 90's up untill 2000. Sence then, city ordinances have been put into effect and venues have been shut down, much like what happened in Chicago. The Ministry of Sound is becoming less popular and with the passing of the new "Rave Bill", the rave scene is definetly going to go back underground. The fad has indeed passed. This is my take on things at least. -

There is no genre called "rave", just so you know. I used to go to raves all the time for three years straight. Too much of a drug culture though. I still enjoy drum'n bass every once in a while. Dieselboy's the ****. -
From a gay point of view, I think it's a dumb idea. It's just further supporting the idea that Gay people need special treatment. Not to mention the amount of vandalism that the school will recieve from those who don't support it. They want to create a school where kids will be less harrased and I'm sure it will only make it worse. It's like science clubs for smart kids; it will just give people more of a reason to pick on you. On a side, I'd hate to think of what there mascot would be...*shutter*

^^ No, I'm pretty sure "The Machine" went against Sonya.
