^^ Speaking of that, in the first movie when she's disguised as Henry Ghirick *sp* she takes a cell phone from Senator Kelly and puts it in her jacket pocket, then shifts into her "normal" self. Where'd the cell phone go? PosionTongue, I'm glad we can come to a common ground on this. at least, sence we could not on our Aliens discussion. X2, in my opnion, was a lot better than X1 in the sence that the story seemed to flow a little more and the action was a bit better. X1 is just complete guano...
Originally posted by Semjaza Azazel Think what you want about John Ritter... but he rocked in Three's Company as well as that really cool animated movie, Flight of Dragons. Has anyone else seen that? Ritter was only like 54. I believe he had a heart attack on stage for his new, apparently successful sitcom (although I didn't care for it). It was almost like a comeback for him. It's more tragic in the sense that it was very unexpected compared to Cash. On top of this, I believe Ritter's best friend had died in close proximity to his death. That's a bit much, I'd say.
Not to mention that is was 9/11 AND his daughters birthday. "Come and knock on my door, I'll be waiting for you..."

I think that Bryan Singer made one of the biggest mistakes a director can make; assuming that big names will equal a good movie. In reality, any actor, no matter how good, can still suck in a badly written role.

Eventhough it's off-topic, I thought the Spiderman movie wasn't very good.

I remember it from the 90's show quite clearly.

It all went down hill after Disney switched animation teams after they completed the Lion King. They adopted this angular, computer generated style that I just dont think fit the Disney charm. As for the singing, I half-heartedly agree with Hell Fire becuase, in a sence, kids of the present are more desensitized to things than I was when I was that age. TV's more violent so of course there's going to be less singing and more explotions.

Wow, it makes me feel a little dated at how well I remember the 90's show, but then again, i DO remember the exact day when it came out; they had an hour long special. Anyway, the 90's version did have the episode with Capt. America during WWII. They also talked about Logan's past with Yuriko *Lady Deathstrike* in Japan when she was featured in the show. The 90's show also had the best arc of them all; the one where Apocolypse captured Xavier and all the psychics. That has to be my all time fav.
Originally posted by doukeshi03 I think they've done the characters really well, especially with rogue, taking away all her super strength and flight abilities, it makes it more plausable.

Well, they didn't really take them away, they just never came to the point when she aquired them; which is why I liked the 90's cartoon better becuase they acctually talked about how Rogue gained her flight and super strength; she stole them from Ms. Marvel.

Anime Demons, witches, and spirits, Oh my...In anime that is!

I think you mean "God" and "a god." Anyway, I don't agree with what you said but I wont try to sway you either. I like the way AS was written. I thought it imaginative and an interesting twist on "an old classic." =D -
Growing up watching the original XMen show, I have to favor that one in spite of XEvo. To me, it seems geared more towards children and their Highschool drama than the older series had. Not only that, they failed to recapture the "epic" feeling the first series had.

^^ I caught it as well and Beast's cameo. Personally, my biggest complaint with the two movies is that they created this alternate universe but used the same charectors. I mean, Iceman was part of the original team and so was Shadown Cat. And I'm pretty sure I didnt see an angelic-feathered Warren Worthington III either. What they really need is to make Apocolypse the next villain and do the "Age of Apocolypse" story arc. That was the best by far. Then we could have Storm in leather and a Mohawk! But I'm sure they'll uyse the Hellfire Club and the Shi'ar instead and tottaly ruin the Phoenix/Dark Phoenix Saga...*sigh*
Originally posted by Hells Fire ...the one with Missy and Madonna trying to sell you jeans...
I work for Gap Inc. and sales on those chords *they aren't jeans* had a noticable incline. In some larger stores in NY they were also offering free initial printing on your pants just like in the commercial. So commercials do have a purpose, belive it or not. Personally, I think we should adopt the Japanese way of commercials; you have one commercial break in the middle of the show that is 4 minutes in length with about 5 comercials ranging from about 45 seconds each. If you can't make the cut, then your commercial doesn't get aired.

SUre there is, read Harry Potter. =D -
^^ I agree with what your saying, however, the stoies of Lucifer and Hades are completly different. It would be just as inaccurate to compare Lucifer and the ruler of the dead from any other Polytheistic religion just because they are two sides of the same coin. Chimera's are awsome though, arent they...

I think within the last 15 years people have become a little sue-crazy. Almost all do it for money. They see it as a quick and easy way to make a buck. A year ago this Oct. I was in an accident where I rear-ended a guy going only 5 miles an hour as he was all ready excelerating and doing no damage to either of our cars. He got out of his car fine and was able to yell at me and only after we had moved our cars to the side of the road did he start with this whole "Oh my back, my back, my vision, my vsion, my head my head" act and ended up calling two cops, a fire truck and an ambulence to the scene. Needless to say, a month later he was suing me for $114,000 in damages and medical bills. What did he get? Not a cent. My insurence called him on his bull**** and he was left with nothing but fake medical and lawyer bills that he needed to pay.

They also did Laputa. Just like Metatron said, Youkai and Mononoke have no religiouse conotation. It would be more acurate to say they are "bad spirits". But essentially, that is what demon means anyway.

They were good untill they sold out and started singing stupid songs about shallow and meaningless things..."Girls don't like boys, girls like cars and money!" Or better yet "Lifestyles of the rick and the famouse, they're always complaining..." Hypocrites.
Originally posted by doukeshi03 Yes I know...I was just putting it forward as an idea...jeez try to help and you get hung.
No hard feelings, just correcting misunderstandings. What about Chimera's. Everyone's got to love them. Them and Manticores!!

Dante's Infurno isn't a biblical text, it's just a story.

SadClown replied to XC SpydeR's topic in General Discussion
I agree. I couldn't imagine being anyone else. I would have to give up everything that is me.
