Can't believe my uber rules were replaced. Pfft... Gg, James, gg :). R.I.P: Post your picture forum.

 6. As a man who touches himself to Wikipedia, I'd just like to say that this is an awesome idea.
Why not have one thread with the actual 'Otakupedia' content in it [locked and stickied'] and have another seperate thread for suggestions/entries? It allows the community to contribute without worry of vandalism, and keeps the main section clear and uncluttered.
That was going to be my suggestion as I read on and thought about it. That's what I'd do.
Charles's way could become messy, but if he's willing to "moderate" the thread, I think it would be fine. It's really up to Charles I guess.
I think with Baron's suggestion, Charles wouldn't really need to 'moderate', rather select what's accurate and detailed from the entires thread and simply copy/paste/edit them into the offical Otakupedia sticky thread. I also would have no problem helping out with this project.
 7. Long term or short term? Well, in the short term I'd have to say drugs, and alcohol screwed me up pretty good, recently. As for a long term, the only thing that comes to mind are all the unhealthly relationships I've gotten caught up in. Teh hell with 'dating' scene. It really isn't worth it, and I don't base this strictly on my own personal heartbreaks, but more from what I analyze from other people's issues. I'm a much happier and positive person- without worries or a care in the world, because I've drawn to the conclusion that it isn't worth it. I feel so passionate about my opinion that I stress it to everybody who's hurt, and hasn't come to the same conclusion of why. I'd write a book, if I had the patience, but I can hardly carry on a post here at OtakuBoards for too long :P. " My friends think my life is so much better than it really is. Why? Because I make it better." -Daniel Tosh So your life sucks. Just shut the hell up, and make the best of it. You've got one shot at life.
 8. Greetings, LightningXIII! And welcome to OtakuBoards. In reply to your threads title: no, this isn't needed :P Here at OtakuBoards we discourage introduction threads at OtakuBoards. Instead, it's prefered if new members introduce themselves within their first post. That way we avoid having introduction threads fill up the forums, and it also gets new members involved in discussion immediately. Please read the Otaku Lounge Rules for more information. As far as your AMVs go, I'd have to say they'd belong in the Art Studio forum, where members can share constructive criticism on your work. If you find anything too confusing, I recommend checking out the rules page, which you'll find on the left navigation menu. If you have any further questions or concerns, please use the Suggestions & Feedback forum, and browsing through the FAQ, which can be found under the rules. I also would suggest browsing through the forums, to get an idea of what we expect in posting quality, and discussion ideas, here on the boards. If you have any questions feel free to PM myself, or any of our other moderators. Hope you enjoy your stay! Thread Closed.

 10. There has been a previous discussion about this idea here. You may want to read up on it.
 11. Oh my... Horny Smurf is more like it. I understand your hormones rage like a wild animal and you want to ravage one another like there's no tomorrow, but you have to ignore what your body is telling you and work for a higher calling, like construction. I hope you understand why I'm closing this thread, and you may not agree, but I'm not sure how I feel about this. If you want to discuss it, feel free to PM me, or another moderator.
 12.
I really hate to spoil all the fun, but this thread is getting really spammy. If things don't improve, I will be forced to close it down, as all the replies are now one line long. The entire purpose of this thread is to provide useful help to people and tell them what they did well and poorly in their signature. From your reply, I expect the critiqued person to know what is wrong exactly with their signature/avatar. Here's a great example of what you should be doing: I'll give this thread one more chance, and then it's over. I really hate to close a thread with such potential to help, but if all that's happening is "Nice job, kewl!", then I'll close it. Thanks for your patience.
That should spell it out for everyone. Thread Closed
 13.
how old are you cuz u have some potencial
According to their profile their birthdate is April 29, 1993. So, unless you can't do the math, your post is rather meaningless. Please read the Constructive Criticism rules sticky at the top of the forum page before you continue posting, and it'll explain why posts such as yours are looked down upon. Oh, and "potential".
 14.
I think it looks GREAT! ~*~ Cho-lin
Seeing as this is the second time you've done this, maybe you skipped over our Art Studio mods first warning post.
Welcome to OtakuBoards, xwoodlandelf! Since you're new here, you really should read what's expected of your posts. What you've said is nice, but it doesn't benefit the artist. Instead, trying saying what you think is done well and what could be improved. Thanks!
So, let's try to work on improvement, please. Thank you.
 15. It's already been asked once that this thread bump up the effort, but there really isn't any room for discussion here, and I've seen little improvement; I feel atleast. So yeah, bang. Thread Closed.
 16.
I was thinking you could maybe have a fan fiction page. I sure the members have interesting stories that they've writen. So they should be able to share them right? Well anyway I'm just saying. It's just an idea.
We do. 17.
Just wondering, is it possible for a moderator to re-open a thread under the conditions that the thread starter agrees to fix the problem?
Yes, a moderator has the power re-open a locked thread, but if in a case where a thread has the potential to envoke some form of discussion, than a moderator will fix the problem(s) themselfs, give a warning, and the thread will continue. So, if a thread was closed it's because it was beyond simply fixing "the" problem. Also, it is not always a thread starters fault that a thread may be closed; it could be due to other members causing problems. A moderator will do everything in their power to ensure that a thread may continue if there is the potential- This of course would mean we'd have to point out mistakes ;-)
 18.
On several threads, I have noticed that the rule-enforcing people have pointed out the mistakes on the actual threads. Wel,l I think that they shouldn't point out the mistakes on the thread itself, but send a private message and/or email instead.
The reason we point out the thread-closing causes, or simple mistakes like: a title misspelling, and double posts, of a thread is so that other members can also see why the thread was closed, or what was changed, and therefore come to a better understanding of what kinds of threads are acceptable for discussion and which ones are not. Other members can than learn from other people's mistakes. You didn't mention the closing of a thread in your post, but I just thought I'd cover that just in case that was what you were talking about. And if you don't mind me asking: Why do you feel we should do this?
 19.
Here's a secret I'd like to pass down to the up-and-coming generations of graphic designers, so that the knowledge of the ages is not lost.
We pirate the programs. Yes, that's right. We're bad, bad people who pirate $700+ programs.
However, I have a legitimate copy of Photoshop -- a friend has a graphic design business, and had to buy a bunch of copies (bulk = cheaper), so he gave us a spare one that wasn't used. Anyway, Photoshop can do tons of stuff that PSP/GIMP simply cannot match. Yes, that's right PSP fangirls, Photoshop is more capable. Bow down and worship -- you have no chance to survive, make your time.
Damn you, Photoshop. I've found that PSP includes all the features you can get with PhotoShop, and plus it's FAR more user friendly. You just have to know what you're doing, that's all. So, what can PhotoShop do for us that the awesome power of PSP can not, eh? Silly Alex. I demand justice! Oh, and pirates rule!
 20. Oh my... This thread is going absolutely no where, so let's just end it before it could possibly fill up with more spam-like posts. tanukioh, please take heed to SunFallE's reply to the latest thread of yours being closed, and take the advice of reviewing Otaku Lounge Rules. Then you'll know why your threads continue to be shut down; I hope. And same goes for you, NekoSama101. Your posts haven't exactly been helping. Have a question? Feel free to ask myself or another moderator.

 22. 1. If your avatar has a character, what race, age (if applicable) and gender is it? White, 20ish, male. 2. Would you say your avatar is masculine, feminine or both? Why? Could be seen as both, probably, but it's more maculine. 3. Does it have mature or childish attributes? Mature attributes. He's holding a gun for heaven's sake. lol. 4. What gender and race are you? White male. 5. When you meet someone online, unless they specify, do you feel you naturally think of them as white? Yes, I do actually. 6. Do you roleplay? If yes, identify your roleplaying character in terms of race, history, gender and sexual preference. Sorry, don't roleplay. 7. Have you ever been mistaken for another race or gender or have been asked due to the lack of detail in your profile? Not to my knowledge, no. 8. Have you mistaken others for being of another race, age or gender? How many times? I have. How many times? Maybe just a few. 9. What does your online nickname mean or how did you come up with it? I have numerous online nicknames, and not all of which I came up with. 10. Do you think people online tend to correctly guess your age, race or gender most of the time without being told? They do. 11. Do you think people tend to correctly guess your sexual preference without being told? Haha. Not always, sad to say. 12. Would you feel threatened if people online knew your age, gender, race or sexual preference? If so, why? No... It's not something I worry too much about. If I did, I wouldn't have a myspace :P.
 23. Hoay Etsybay. I was quite the n00b back in the day; My first account was even banned . Of course the ban didn't change much because I still remained a xn00bie to the end! My posts in my first two years are quite embarrasing, I'll admit ;D. So it amazes me how I'm at the status I currently am. If you had told me in 2003 I'd become a category moderator, I'd laugh and then maybe die a little on the inside. n00b power!
For instance, remember when there used to be more titles than New Member, Member and Moderator?
YES! I remember. I think it went something like this:
Newbie

New member - 50 posts

Member - 250?

Otaku - 1,000.

Extreme Otaku - Yeah... I'm not even sure if this was one.

No Life - Like a lot...
I honestly have no idea, lol. Someone wanna help me out with this one? Anyways, I remember getting to Member somtime before the new version was released. I was so proud *tear*. And who can forget the "Post Your Picture" forum!? I still demand we bring it back *chants*. Yeah, it spawned 0 discussion aside from the "Omfg you're so hawt.", but that's all fun. We could pull if off, I swear. Just bring it back already. There were also those really lame anime forums. Oh God. The Yu Yu Hakusho forum made me wish to shoot myself. I did however enjoy the .hack//SIGN forum when the series was still new, and every saturday night at 12:30am (Is that when the show got done) Shy would create a thread to discuss that night's episode
 24. I love OtakuBoards because it's the one forum I know that brutally pwns newbies and spam, and all stupid people are banned. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm suppose to say "I love OtakuBoards because the people are blah blah, and I've made so many blah blah, and blah blah", but I'll leave that to everyone else. OtakuBoards was the first forum I've ever become a member to, and it's the only forum which I am active in. OtakuBoards gives me something to do on the internet besides the dreadful myspace. Aside from that Baron pretty much covered it all for me:
And I love it because of it's quality, strength and variety of discussion. Although some topics get repeated ad infinitum, overall it is enjoyable. The funny thing is, I don't even watch anime.
Minus the anime part. I watch anime, but I'm not "Oh anime! touch my body" about it. Oh, and the sex is great ;)
 25. Eh, this thread is starting off a bit too spammy for my tastes, so let's try to turn this around into some form of discussion, shall we? Because it would hurt me so to close it so soon. Oh, and before you continue posting, I URGE you to please review The Otaku Lounge Rules. Just take some time to read it; It's not much. It saves us moderators the time of tracking you down and telling you what you've done wrong each time you happen to do so. So yeah, it sure wouldn't hurt you any.
