  1. at least you're honest and don't try to turn things around. Besides, there's nothing wrong with being different.
  2. that may have been what I was thinking...but I decided rather to give him so advice rather than be so harsh. I remember when I was a newbie at PS, showing off my crappy graphics like a medal of valor....sympathy....

    Ta-Da?

well...i noticed ppl having the bottom right corner missing, which i always like to do, but I didn't want to be a cookie-cutter so I also cut out a strip at the top. I agree, Spike doesn't blend. I wanted to use Vegita, but I couldn't find the pic I used to always use (reformatted my comp w/all 3,000 of my anime images). I've been using small un-readable text ever since I read the "Trend Whore" tutorial at [url]www.wastedyouth.org[/url] about 7 months ago and I've fallen in love with it. EDIT: The actual link for the tut is here: [url]http://www.wastedyouth.org/tutorials.php?section=Adobe+Photoshop&articleid=18[/url] - and I think all photoshop lovers shuld give it a whirl because the resulting logo is REALLY cool. I learned a lot of tricks from this tut.

a lot of your pics on your site are tutorial-based. I find nothing wrong with it. As long as people like the way things look, and you like the way things look it shouldn't matter how you made it.
  5. mind you that only 2 of my friends IRL like anime. The one I speak of I met on a message board like this one. She introduced me to real anime like Kenshin and Cowboy Bebop.
  6. alright, how about this, both of you seem to be girls (correct me if I'm wrong). Girls absolutely (not all, bot most) hate violence while guys can't get enough of it. Why do you think action movies are made? For the good plot? No, for action. It's in the human genome...males are prone to violence and most don't mind it. If you think it's wrong, then good for you, but over 1 billion other individuals think differently.
  7. I think the reason that they are spending so much detail on the lighting effects is because your shadow will be a major part of the game. Whether you're walking across a catwalk, entering a room, or sneaking through vents, if you're shadows get's seen by an enemy, you're in big trouble.
  8. It's a good start, but for future reference, that's just an image. Wallpaper normally is either a really small pattern that would smoothly go over and over again or a giant image. Try working with these sizes: 800x600 1024x768 then you'll have a nice wallpaper that fits nicely on screen.

    Ta-Da?

Yup, shadowness tutorial with some modifications of my own. But that ain't a bad thing as it's apparent you use them also in your pieces. I don't call 20 pixels waaay too big, just a misunderstanding of the height restrictions.
  10. marquee? just type whatever u want wtihout the .'s and ull get this: Wheeeeeeeeeeeeee

what doesn't? My sig? It does for me... damn, I thought I had beat the system. O well... I'll make a new one tomorrow.

    Ta-Da?

nope, at 100 its all screwed up. Darn. Apparently when you animate ur sig, it loses it's traparent values. EDIT: Sweet lol, if u put it into ur sig as HTML and not vB script the forum can't tell how big it is. I'm still going to use a non-animated one tho.
  13. Well, I'm a bit rusty. The last forums I was at only allowed 285x84 or smaller, so it's the first time I've had no boundries. Wait...maybe I do but I haven't read the rules and im 50 pixels over! Nooooo. Anywho, My only drawbacks are that the 911Porsche font doesnt have a | line so i had to take it from Tahoma so it doesn't look exactly right. I also hope it's still transperent, even when animated. Critique please! BTW, it's down here: EDIT: WELL ****. It's 150. I'll add put a link below and call it a "warm up" [url]http://maxsico.homestead.com/files/noname.gif[/url]
  14. bettter than my first...thats for sure. *checks* doh! When I joined and last left the boards the admins had [img] code turned off! Nooo! I need to make me a banner and fit in with the crowd! *runs to PS lab*
  15. that's the bounceback marquee, it's bounces it back and forth. Sorry, but I cant remember the code as I havent used it in about a year. As for the banner, I like it. You might have overdone the cutting out, but at least it's clean and not jagged.
  16. Soldier of Fortune (SOF) and SOF2 both strive on realistic damage. You can plast off enemies legs so they crawl around until they die or shoot someone's head clear off. To be honest I don't think it's very realistic (besides the gore) and has more of an "Acradey" feeling to it of you jumping around blasting everyone in sight. I know it's on PC, but I don't know if it's on consoles.
  17. I'm pretty sure that it's coming to the PS2, XBox, and PC. It seems like a ripoff of MGS2, but I hear there will be different gameply elements. I also think they mentioned he only has 1 SMG and 1 Pistol, so it won't be too much based on firepower, but rather stealth. Looks cool, probably will get it.
  18. Yes JtoJ was crap. After the 3rd mission I returned it. Zeonic Front got slightly better reviews, so you know I'll be renting it soon. Hoping for the best...
  19. I have a friend who draws her own manga. I dont know her IRL, but ive known her on the net for 3 years. Her manga is up to 400 pages now and she promises to scan them all for me when shes done lol.
  20. You have to understand that M4's, MP5's, AK's and all other automatic weapons are banned from ownership or sale in the United States. So these "fake" guns are as close as anyone who doesn't sign up for the army or their local SWAT team will ever come to trying the real thing out. And if you give it a shot, tell me how it is, becuz I'm still trying to figure out if it's worth the money...Gotta cash my paycheck, that'll be a quick $275

    Reading

I like Sci-Fi and Fantasy books. The "Enders" series was great, as was the "Otherland" series. Also the more heard-of "Lord of the Rings" series was great.
  22. Airsoft is, as we have partially described like paintball in the fact that there are two teams and there is normally an objective (capture the flag, elimination, etc.). The difference is that these are BB guns modeled after REAL guns. You can get an M4, MP5, Uzi, etc. They hurt more than paintballs if you aren't wearing the right protection and sometimes people won't go out because unlike paintball, they don't leave a mark. I'm still trying to gather the facts, but so far it looks like a fun sport/hobby.
  23. well I see a paintball thread and to my surprise we have some paintball vets here who know what theyre talking about. I'm currently trying to decide if I should get into Airsoft (Paintball is less fun than it used to be) and this is what I know so far: -The guns are modeled after real guns, down to the very fine details -If not wearing proper protection it hurts worse than paintballs -Almost all states allow it -Guns ranges from $300-$900. -Some paintball fields will allow you to airsoft while others wont Anybody else know anything that could help me out?
