1. True that, Asuka. ^_^ I have to agree, as well. It's definitely something different for everyone and it comes at different times for everyone. You might think you haven't experienced it yet, but I would beg to differ - love is everywhere, it's just up to you to find it. As of now, while I might not have any sort of romantic love in my life, I've got my family, some wonderful friends, I've got a PS2 and an N64 which I absolutely adore, and so on. Love can cover a lot of things. To say that it doesn't exist.. well, that just sounds like a defense mechanism to me.
2. Name: Loyal Heart Dog Color, I guess: Uh, blue. Symbol: Heart with wings! Stereotype: Extremely loyal, is a best friend to everybody, even Grumpy Bear. Tends to be excited easily, so you can always see his tail wagging happily (however small it is).
3. Kendra was pleased, if not mildly surprised. She really hadn't expected much success at all that morning, but as she stared down coolly at Jenk's two captives, she couldn't help but smirk. Technoglobe would be pleased, either way, and probably a little haughty - for once one of their mind-numbing ideas was actually on target. As far as hunting went, anyway. She would deal with that when the time came, however. Right now, she had more important thorns to deal with. She stepped forward, her boots crunching loudly against the sudden quiet that had surrounded the Fallen. Both men were silent, watching, waiting for their fate. One of them wasn't an angel - the brunette. Just a norm, caught out after curfew. Maybe a hacker? Whatever his reasons for hiding, she would find them out soon enough. The other man, however, kept his eyes downcast, his blonde locks falling over his brow. Raising an eyebrow, she gently lifted his chin with her thumb and forefinger and studied his eyes with interest. The deep, formidable gray wasn't normal, but at the same time, they didn't exactly scream 'angel', either. Hers, however, did, just as the rest of the Fallen's did - there was no doubt for the two captured that they were indeed in deep, deep shit. Pursing her lips, ignoring his defiant stare, the dangerous beauty asked the two of them quietly, "And just what were you gentlemen doing out during curfew?" Neither one made any move to answer, which was entirely expected. She dropped the blonde's chin and took a step back, her eyebrows raised in slight amusement. "Come now, you've nothing to hide from me that I can't find out later," she teased, her voice dripping with a sultry arrogance that made some of the other Fallen smirk in response. "Or would you rather that we just force it out of you?" She lifted a hand casually, the air around it tensing as a few electrical sparks began to flicker wildly as she murmured, "There are worse things than death, you know."
4. There are some songs I can't listen to without getting all watery-eyed. That's also because I'm a little pathetic, too. Most of them are just songs I link to certain movies, or things that I write, or even video games - I can't help but think of FFX whenever I hear Wherever You Will Go by the Calling. Weird, but true nonetheless. However there is one song that sticks out in my mind: Thunder Road, by Bruce Springsteen. This song means a lot to me, for a number of different reasons. First and foremost, it's a family song, and everybody loves it. Me and the siblings grew up listening to him, so it's just kind of part of us now. My dad also used to sing this song to me when I was a baby to make me go to sleep, and I screamed a hell of a lot, but that always managaed to lull me to sleep. So he says, anyway. Last, this song was my grandmother's absolute favorite song. After her funeral we played some Springsteen and when this came on, everyone just got sort of quiet for a moment. By the time the song was over, though, everybody was singing and crying and hugging each other. It's one of the best and worst memories I have, if that makes any sense to you.
5. Thanksgiving is always fun for me not because of "what it stands for" (that's just a load of crap), but because I get to just relax with my family and do something I love - eat. That, and football. There will be football to watch, and football to play, and sweaters to wear, and pictures to take, leaves to jump in and dogs to play with, and that's always fun for me. The really great thing about Thanksgiving this year is that I finally get to spend a long weekend with my family. Instead of just one full day, like I'm normally used to (since it takes 5 hours to get home), I get four. And since my family is sort of weird and really close and all that, it means a lot to me. So Thanksgiving is more about us just hanging out together and actually not arguing over silly things on the pretense that we're supposed to be happy and thankful. Works out from everybody. Well, except for the Native Americans. >.>
6. Here's some specific things to do that might help: 1. Make flashcards. Put vocab on one side, the definitions on the other. Or for something like science or history, put a special concept or event on one side, and then explain it on the back. Drill yourself with these for 15 minutes a couple times a day for a few days and you'll know them pretty well. 2. I find that the more I write something the more likely I am to remember it. Get out some paper, a pencil, and just copy important parts of your notes. Use a highlighter for special terms. Go crazy, use different colors. 3. Make up a study guide for yourself to follow. Type up a mock quiz, even - list all the terms you'll need to know, all the special dates, events, concepts, names, whatever. Ask yourself questions that you've reviewed in class, or look for extra problems in a chapter review or something. Pretend it's a real test and see how you do. This way, you'll know what you need to work on and what you've got a handle on and then you can study accordingly. And then there's always the idea that if you come home and review the things you went over in class, or at least the subjects that you know you have trouble in, you'll be that much more prepared when the time comes. It doesn't matter what you decide to do, but when it comes down to it you are going to have to work. It sucks, but that's life. If you find a way to study that you're comfortable with and that works for you, however, than gradually it'll get easier. Rest is also very important, so remember what Ms. Dagger has said - eat right and get sleep. Hopefully you'll get something from all this. Good luck.
7. Amity, I don't think it's a matter of being lonely at all, though I guess there are some who might disagree. I also talk to my dog. All the time. Even now that I'm away at college and I hardly ever see her - I have a picture of my pretty puppy on my desk and sometimes when I call home, I talk to the dog. Although it's usually a one-sided conversation. I talk to most animals, actually, which pretty much rules out any thoughts of me being sane. Meh. I crack my knuckles, too. I think eventually my fingers are just going to fall off.
8. That's okay, I have a similar problem. Very much so. But terra... terra, they're all very beautiful. Thank you so very much. Now to choose. I like the smallness of the top one, but the two others look like a better quality. It could just be my monitor as well.. but I think I'll probably go with the third banner. As for the Avatar... I like the one with the feathers. The first one. The legs are cool, too. Oh, damn my indecisiveness. Let's go with the feathers. I do need OB to host the banner, by the way. ^_^ Thank you again! You, dear terra, are freakishly cool. EDIT: Dagger's comment about the legs made me fall off my chair laughing. Oh, what an existance that would be. :p
9. I think a lot of the adult complaints have to do with the fact that a lot of people associate cartoons, or anything that looks like cartoons, with children. So when a parent walks in the room and sees some warrior ninja cutting heads off, or one of those infamous bathroom scenes, in any anime series, they get a little shocked. Now, I'm not saying that Japanese animation is just cartoons. [Man, that sounded like bad grammar.] In fact, a lot of it isn't geared towards children at all - it's just the conception that cartoons are only for kids that gets people all testy. Granted, it's not the only reason, but it's one that you might want to think about. ^_^
10. Well, here's my take on it. Seems to me that Semjaza's got a point - I'm definitely not anybody's mother, and I'm not about to tell any 12 year old what he/she should and should not post or read, based on his/her age. And while I do find it completely disturbing that some of the things going up in the Adventure Arena specifically are a little more graphic than I'd care to write or read, as long as there is some sort of warning on it, I'm not going to touch it. Just because I don't like it doesn't mean other people can't. Freedom of speech, freedom of the press, whichever you like. As for the rating systems.. I don't particularly like the 13+, 18+, etc. ratings because as Dagger pointed out, a person's age doesn't neccessarily have to do with their maturity (although we have no real way to control that anyway. Are we going to ban them because of their age?). Dagger herself is a great example - even though she's a good few years younger than me, she's displayed her of intelligence and sophistication over and over again, and sometimes I'm almost positive she acts more mature than I do. I'd much prefer to see a "Mature" rating, and then perhaps a quick explanation of what that refers to at the start of the thread, so people know what they're getting into. I think the novelty of being able to post lots of sex and gore and swear constantly like a sailor is eventually going to die down, as well. Until then, I'll just continue to wear my rose-colored glasses, thank you.
11. It's times like these that really make me want to cry over not having any sort of cable. Or a workable television, for that matter. But I do love Scrubs, and despite the fact that I can't watch it any more (le sigh), I do watch it whenever I go home. Or whenever I get the chance to. I haven't seen any recent episodes, though, so I know nothing of JD's new girlfriend. But I'm glad to hear he's got one, cause I felt so bad for him when he ran all the way to Elliots only to find out that she and what's-his-face where going to stay together anyway. Cue the pathetic girly noises. And Dr. Cox is one of my favorites. I have to agree with Solo - his lines are always the best ones. The way he and JD constantly fight, too.. it's priceless. I can't not laugh whenever I watch this show.
12. Mmm, Christmas. The biggest thing on my list right now is.. a car. A VW Beetle Convertible, in that pretty, shiny orange color. But not even in holy hell will I get that, so instead I've made up a list of books and DVDs and CDs a mile wide. That, and I will always be happy to receive more hats and toe socks. And underwear. You can never have too much underwear. Specifics:

Confessions of a Dangerous Mind
Much Ado About Nothing (the movie)
Requiem for a Dream
Grave of the Fireflies
My Fair Lady
Pirates of the Caribbean
Nightmare Before Christmas
The Lion King Soundtrack from Broadway
Muse "Showbiz"
Dashboard Confessional "The Swiss Army Romance"
Aita Soundtrack Broadway
Yes, I'm a greedy little bastard.
13. Guilty pleasures, guilty pleasures. I space out a lot. And I mean, a lot. I kind of enjoy it. Not that a whole lot happens, but hey, it's a good way to clear your mind. ^_^ However, it usually happens when my friends are trying to talk to me, and so that's not really good. Eventually I'm sure they're just going to beat me or something. I can't really blame them. >.>;; And long, long showers. I always take all the hot water, too. Always.
14. Finn eyed the campfire they'd made with distaste. He had this bitterness stuck in his mouth, and not even dinner and drink could wash it away. And his hat... he missed his hat so dearly. It had been a long time since any of the Desperados had seen him in such a foul temper, and some found it slightly unnerving. Occasionally the whispered about it amongst themselves, mostly blaming "those darn pirates" for all the trouble. They were the ones who had to stop, right? And in such a place.. After a long moment of no movement, Finn stood and stretched, yawning loudly. Those sitting near him glanced up, and he only responded with an idle instruction to keep the fire burning. "It'll keep away any unwanted.. visitors." He made his way over to the tree where Vince was perched, his hands on his hips as he called up to him, "Gonna eat anything?" "In my own good time," The Saladman replied, despite the growing rumble in his stomach. Finn grinned slightly in response - it was always the little things, he reminded himself, before nodding his head in understanding. His hand moved up, as though he wanted to tip his hat, but instead he settled with just ruffling his hair a bit. But it just wasn't the same! Fixing his expression to something more easy-going and relaxed, he sauntered over to the circle that was the pirates and more importantly, to the spot where Flint sat. The cowboy was quite sure Flint knew he was there, but he seemed rather intent on ignoring him - just as he had earlier. Bloody pirates. "Flint." No response. "Flint, where's my hat?" Still no response. Rolling his eyes, deciding to play by the rules Flint had previously established, Finn pulled out his pistol and shot the log the pirate was sitting on faster than one could blink. Flint did blink, but didn't bother turning to look at the pistol-wielding cowboy. Instead, he just pulled the hat from somewhere next to him and handed it over, the smallest of smirks forming on his face. "Your hat." "Gracias," Finn muttered, stuffing the hat on his head despite the rather visible hole as he walked back towards his side of the camp.
15. Julia was ecstatic that Valentine had managed to make it to the club - it didn't take long for the two of them to fall into conversation. They talked about an enormous range of things, but most of it centered on art in some form or another. Julia was excited to learn about the things Valentine knew about dancing and was only glad that somebody shared the same interest in music that she had. In fact, they had quite a lot in common, despite the fact that they were two very different people. Gen had come and gone a number of times, and Julia felt a little bad that she wasn't paying more attention to him. He didn't seem to be having a lot of fun in the first place. She began thinking that maybe she shouldn't have even dragged him here, but just as she noticed an older woman approaching him - an older woman that looked oddly familiar to her, for some reason - somebody came and sat next to her. "Hey," he said quietly, and Julia nearly choked on her own breath. Valentine smiled at him, cleverly reaching out her hand to distract him from Julia's obvious falter. "Hello there, ..." "Hunter," he smiled, returning the handshake. The blonde smiled, nodding. "Hunter. Nice to meet you, Hunter. Do you go to the high school? You look familiar." "Oh," he laughed slightly, "No, actually, I'm a freshman in college right now. OB University [har har]. I work at the smoothie place just a few blocks down, maybe you've seen me there..?" Julia had managed to recover herself by now and offered him a smile, trying her best not to blush. What on earth happened to her, anyway? "Did you just get here?" She asked curiously, glancing briefly at Valentine, who watched with a small smirk. Oh, fishsticks. He grinned a little, ruffling his hair. "Well, some friends of mine are in the band, so I stopped by to watch some of their stuff. I've been here only a few minutes, actually. I just.. uh, spotted you, and thought I'd say hi." There was no way she could stop the pink from spreading to her cheeks; she was just glad the lighting was so dim and hoped to god that no one could really tell. "Oh. Hi then," she grinned, and received a wink from him in response. Valentine stood then, reaching for her purse. "I need to use the little girl's room, and I need you to come with me, Julia." She paused, before throwing Hunter a dazzling smile. "It's a girl thing. Co-dependent, you might say." Hunter nodded, grinning. "Have fun." The two girls left him to his own devices as the pranced back to the bathroom, where Valentine rounded on Julia once they were safely behind the door. "And just who is that?" She asked, a delightful little gleam to her eye. Julia blushed furiously, fumbling with her own purse. "Well, ...er..."
16. Oh goodness, I really hope things don't get that horrible here. I shudder to think of all those random smilies rolling about, bowling people over. Although the Adventure Arena rocks, Solo. All the boards are great. ^_^
He hoped Spam wouldn?t be on the menu.
I loved that part. So funny. I laughed, I cried, I gave it two thumbs up.
17. Julia and Gen made it in just in time to see a fight break out between two girls - she thought maybe she recognized them from school. Underclassmen, maybe? Either way, she just rolled her eyes at the scene before making her way towards the back. Sometimes you'd never even know half these people were in high school, she thought to herself, as she slid into some random seat. Gen followed slowly, though his eyes were on the fight more than anything. He looked a tad disdainful, as though he thought very little of their "fight." Which of course, Julia realized, probably wasn't far from the truth at all. As he sat down, she grinned and asked, "So where's the weapon hidden?" One dark eyebrow arched up. "Pardon?" "Oh come on, you've always got something on you. I'm sure there's plenty of room in that lovely trench coat of yours." She only looked at him with innocent eyes, slurping smoothie through her straw quietly. There was about a quarter of it left, and was beginning to melt pretty fast - the club was a tad warm. Gen obviously didn't buy into the innocent look, and only smirked in response, before turning his eyes back to the fight. Only to see that it was already over. He made an annoyed sound, leaning back lazily in his chair. Julia only rolled her eyes again. "What happened to your smoothie?" "Finished it," he lied, not bothering to glance at her. He'd actually just tossed it in a trashcan near the front. It was a nice gesture, but he really didn't want it. And since she didn't actually pay for it... "Ah," she only smiled, appearing as though she didn't totally believe it, but she didn't question him further. Instead, she let her own eyes drift over the crowd, standing once to see over heads. "You don't see Valentine, do you? Tall, blonde, pretty, dance team..?" He gave a half-hearted shrug, glancing towards the doors, as though he was expecting somebody. Julia really didn't know about that, but if the rumors were correct, he'd been in some sort of squabble earlier with one of those twins. She couldn't remember which, and frankly, didn't really care. Fighting wasn't something she payed a whole lot of attention to. Finishing off her smoothie, she glanced around for a trash can, only to have it taken out of her hand. "I got it," Gen said quietly, moving out of his chair and towards the right. Julia watched in mild surprise, before just shaking her head. The surprises just don't stop, do they?
18. OOC: Short and sweet. Leile couldn't help but laugh at the little man that Aissa had created from the flames. It was adorable, and the very idea of it trying to beat Anubis up brought tears to her eyes. The actual act of it was just too much. Holding her stomach as she laughed, she just shook her head and did her best to continue breathing. Eventually she did calm down, and then sat back and watched as the little man disappeared back into the flames and Aissa turned to Anubis expectantly. "And just what is your idea of entertainment, then?" Smiling, Leile thought it was almost like a challenge; a comparison of magic. Both of their forms were so different from each other's, just as Aissa and Anubis themselves were different. Light and darkness; white magic versus black magic. As one with no magic background, Leile was having quite the exciting learning experience. She grinned at her thoughts, and was happy that for once she felt as though things were okay. Relatively speaking; things were actually completely screwed up, but these two just helped her to forget all the problems that seemed to just pile up. For once they could all just relax. And for that she was quite thankful. Joining in with Aissa then, she glanced towards Anubis and grinned. "Yes, let's see what you've got, old man," she teased, clapping her hands together once.
19. Looks pretty good to me. Hell of a lot better than anything I could have done, that's for sure. The only part that really bothers me are the the woman's (I'm assuming it's a lady, hence the dress, but I don't know about some people, so..) hips. Or lack there of. Which doesn't have to do with clothes at all, really. Either way, I'd say you're getting the hang of folds quite nicely. ^_^ And I love those skinny legs on the right. Good shading there, too. Gotta love it. ^_^
20. She just rolled her eyes, brushing her hair back over her shoulder, and proceeded to walk past him into the little smoothie shop. "You know, when my mother sees my neck, she's going to think I was in a fight, or that I was raped, or that I was making out with somebody." Gen only raised an eyebrow, following her in, his trenchcoat scraping the ground softly as he walked. "Right." Julia made her way to the counter, hands on hips as she looked up at the list of flavors illuminated on the wall. Licking her lips after a moment, nodding her head once as if a decision was made, she glanced towards the man behind the counter, who grinned at her as she stepped up to the register. "You ready?" He asked, leaning forward a bit. The brunette smiled slightly; Julia came here very often, and for the most part, this guy was the one who served her. She was beginning to suspect that a few times he did that purposely, which was really rather amusing. He was attractive, too - the garage band type, probably, which Julia rather liked. But not one to mix business with pleasure, Julia only winked at him before turning to Gen, "You want something?" Gen was busy looking elsewhere, his eyes roaming the little cafe, and so Julia got no answer from him. "Oookay," she rolled her eyes, before putting her hands on the counter. "Right then, I'll have a small kiwi smoothie, and he'll have a... er... small... raspberry.. smoothie. Yeah." The guy behind the counter, Hunter (so said his tag), glanced to Gen briefly before smiling at Julia again. "No problem, darlin'," he said, pushing the buttons on the register before going over to make the shakes. When Julia turned back to Gen, she found him back on planet Earth. "I ordered you a smoothie," She informed him, raising her eyebrows. He blinked at her. "Okay." "That's quite a bit of black to be wearing," she continued her attempt at a conversation, knowing one of these days she'd have a break through. "Don't you think you're going to get a little hot?" "I'll worry about that bridge when I cross it," He told her coolly, before nodding his head towards the counter. She turned and smiled sheepishly at Hunter, who only smirked and handed her the two small smoothies. "There you go," he said, deliberately brushing his fingers against hers when she took the drinks. Julia's eyebrow arched up, but she said nothing, only handing Gen the raspberry smoothie. She started to open up her wallet, pulling out the money she need to pay him with, but Hunter shook his head, waving his hand. "Naw, don't worry about it. It's on me," he smiled, before writing this on the receipt. He gave her the little white paper, returning the wink she gave him earlier, before turning to clean some glasses.. or something. When Julia looked at the receipt, however, she noticed that he hadn't written what she thought - instead, there was a number on the receipt. With a slight blush she stuffed the paper back in her purse and gave a quick grin to Gen, "Okay, let's go! Hopefully we'll see Valentine there." Gen only raised his eyebrows, glancing back to the smoothie guy, before following her out.
21. Julia just blinked at her phone, before shrugging and putting it back on her desk. "Silly boy," she murmured, before going back to work on her hair. Considering how thick it was, she thought it best to just blow dry it out and leave it down for the moment. "But.. if I do dance, it will get hot, and then I'll want it up." She just peered at herself, tapping her chin pensively, before shrugging. "Whatever." Julia turned heal and headed for her bathroom, where most of her hair products were. Such as, a hair dryer. Fifteen minutes later she emerged from the bathroom like a beautiful spring butterfly, minus the wings and the whole insect thing, and slipped on her brightly painted shoes with a grin. Her eyes wandered to her desk, mentally checking off her list. Right, cell phone's there.. wallet, okay... keys... are... where are my keys? Oh, this is crap. The mental anguish went on for a few minutes before Julia spied something shiny under her tote. Snatching the cat bag off the ground with a victorious "Aha!", she found... a fork. "What the hell?" She picked it up, her eyebrow raised, before setting it on her desk. Hands on hips now, she tapped her foot on the ground impatiently, peering around her room. She started wandering around, picking things up and moving things over, before she heard a knock at her bedroom door. "Honey?" Julia raised her eyebrows, looking over her shoulder at the door. "Come on in, mom!" The older woman peeked in, before opening it fully. "Julia, dear, your keys. You left them on the counter and your little brother almost walked off with them." Julia blinked as her mother dropped the keys in her open palm. "Oh. Sorry about that." Her mother just raised her eyebrows, smiling slightly, before taking a glance at the room. "...What on earth are you doing in here?" The brunette grinned sheepishly, "Looking for my keys." "Yes, dear. Well, you have fun, wherever you're going. Drive safely, don't stay out too late, and remember that your brother has his little tournament in the morning," Her mother reminded her, being very, well, motherly. Julia just nodded, standing on her tip toes to kiss her mom on the cheek. "Don't worry, I'll be fine. And I'll be there, in the front row, so loud and obnoxious that you'll wish I hadn't come at all." "Of course, dear." Her mother left the room and Julia turned to grab her phone, and then her wallet, before stuffing them in a little black purse. She gave the room one last glance over as she picked up a few pillows and threw them back on her bed, before heading out. Off to get me a smoothie, whoo!
22. EDIT: Added.. the phone call... About an hour later, Julia stood in front of her closet in only a big, fluffly towel, trying to decide on what to wear. After a few minutes, her first decision was made: "I have too many clothes." She sifted through the hangers, occassionally pulling something out only to decide that it just wasn't what she had in mind. After a few rounds of this sort of thing, she decided that it was just useless. Prancing back to her stereo, which was situated nicely on top of a rather long bookshelf filled with both books and various DVDs, she quickly punched a few buttons and then turned the volume up. Seconds later Queen came blearing out, and Julia proceeded to air guitar to her heart's content. After fifteen minutes or so she realized that running around her room in just a towel was probably going to be the death of her, so Julia went back to her closet, still singing merrily. Eventually, and with Freddie Mercury's help, she managed to narrow it down to a pair of leather pants, a simple maroon top, and a rather colorful pair of shoes. Julia was entirely convinced that they were the best part of the outfit. She started to pull on the pants, making quite a scene as she jumped around the room in a hopeless attempt to keep her balance, before finally submitting to gravity. "Ow." Eventually the battle ended and Julia emerged victorious; however, the war wasn't over yet. There was still her hair to consider. She just blinked at herself in the mirror, picking at the wet locks. "If I wasn't such a spaz," she decided then, "All this would be a lot easier." However all further conversation with herself was interrupted as her cell phone rang, vibrating jubilantly on her desk. The ring was a bouncy, jazz jingle, and every time she heard it she could help but dance. So she danced her way over to her phone, and answered breathlessly, "It's a beautiful day!" There was a long pause before a male voice began, "...Yeah, don't ever say that again." Julia grinned and plopped down on her bed. "Why hello, Gen! What a pleasant surprise!" "Mmhm. When are you leaving?" "For the party?" Julia asked, glancing over at the Felix the Cat clock she had on her wall. "...yes." "Well, it's almost seven now. So.. probably in an hour or something. I have to finish all my girly preparations first, you know. And I thought about grabbing a smoothie or something before heading over. Bring my own drink. Not that I don't trust my school mates, of course," she replied, only a hint of sarcasm to her voice. "Why, do you want to meet somewhere?" Gen could only shake his head as he answered, "The thought had crossed my mind." "Okay, then how about the smoothie place? Or do you need a ride or something?"
23. Botosai, come on now, you know what we mods think of this. ^_~ Just say no. Keep this sort of stuff to PMs in the future - that's why we've got them, after all. Thank ye kindly, Arcadia
24. OOC: I make this quick, ya? By now, Julia was in the parking lot, holding her phone up with her shoulder as she fished for her keys in her tote bag. "I've decided that I'm going, and I thought it would be a good chance for us to actually hang out for once." He didn't exactly sound chipper. "...Hang out..?" She rolled her eyes, unlocking her car door. It was a Volkswagon Beetle Convertible, tangerine orange and completely Julia. "Yeah, sometimes people do that. If it makes you feel better, you can pretend to be my bodyguard. Or you could be on a mission to eradicate our school of its vermin... which means most of the people at the party will probably disappear after the night..." She muttered that last part under her breath, but he must have caught it anyway because he answered plainly, "If only." Settling into the front seat, she tossed her tote over onto the passenger side, shutting her door before leaning back. "Tell you what. I'll be there, and if you show up, cool. If not, cool. I'll just continue our usual one-sided conversation in class next Monday. It'll be great." "...Right. Anything else, Julia?" She paused, keys in but the car not started. "Uh, nope. Pleasure talking to you, as always, Gen." "Pleasure's mine," he replied, and then Julia heard a distinct click and the conversation was over. She couldn't help but smirk a little. Tossing her phone in the cup holder, hissing at it briefly like a cat, she started her car (which she affectionately referred to as Mr. Wimpleton, or sometimes Pookie) and pulled out of the parking lot. She wanted to try and finish up her last scholarship application, and then after that probably take a shower. Bathing was a good thing. Nodding to herself, pleased with her mental list, she cranked the stereo up and sang to Dashboard Confessional the rest of the way home.
25. As Valentine walked over, her hands on her hips as she tried to catch her breath, Julia just clapped gleefully. "That rocked, Valentine. I am very impressed," she informed her with a wink. Valentine just grinned a little. "Thanks. It's shaping up nicely, I think." "I think," Julia started, in mock seriousness, "You guys are going to kick a lot of ass. Pardon the French." The other girl just laughed. "Well if you say so, it must be true." Nevermind the fact that they were Champions, after all. Details, details. "So you will come to the party with us, right?" Julia grinned. "Yeah, it should be fun. A chance to let loose, forget about scholarships and more papers to fill out. I think I might call a friend to join us as well. He can be our bodyguard against all the icky, icky bad men. Or something." "Sounds like a plan, then," Valentine agreed, giving her a thumbs up. "I definitely need to grab a shower now--" "You certainly do," Julia agreed teasingly, "--and freshen up a bit. Get ready for this crazy party," the blonde finished, smiling. "And then you guys can show me some of those mad dancing moves," Julia struck a pose, her hands in the air as if cheering a touch down, before dropping them as Valentine raised her eyebrows. A moment passed before the two just started laughing. Picking up her tote, the brunette made her thumb and forefinger into a gun and pointed it at Valentine playfully. "I'll see you later, then," she grinned, using a cheesy accent, before turning and heading for the doors. There was much to be done. OOC: And I have much homework to be done. >.< While I'm typing random comments, Bahumant and Alastor, can you guys could work on your capitalization and punctuation in your posts? Pick it up a little, please?
