3. As of late, I've been replaying Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars on my SNES emulator. I find it much much easier to do additional hits and damage buffers on my keyboard as opposed to my SNES controller. I've already cinched down my party configuration and I'm currently leveling up in order to make the the next parts of the game simple and hassle free. If you haven't had a chance to play this awesome RPG, it's available on the Wii Virtual Console or you can download an emulation program. Don't miss out on a gem.

Leave it to the Bay Area to be a hodgepodge of buildings. In the middle of this seemingly upscale neighborhood, there was a multitude of dilapidated, run down hovels that even the shiftiest of characters wouldn't dare enter. About three years ago, this place used to be pretty nice. All the rich kids lived here. I remember wanting to sneak past the gates that sheltered this community from us peasants. I wanted to stain their eyes with my middle class American-ness. Let me tell you, nothing scares rich snobs more than their daughters falling in love with a middle class slob who happens to come into their lives. All those movie stereotypes you saw where the rich girl falls for the bum, are true....especially around here. No parent wants to see their daughter that has such a promising future be mired by some kid that happens to have a good personality. It's wicked fun, you should try it sometime. As I left my temporary shelter, walking across the street...I could hear the silence of the street that once was probably filled with noise and excitement. I actually preferred the silence, it's comforting in a way. I walked cautiously, afraid to encounter more of those things at any moment. These creatures didn't usually hunt by themselves. Packs of two to three of them was what normally attacked me. I don't know what drives them to do that, but everyone's just trying to survive now a days. Even a beast has to eat. I came to scene of the crime. It was a beautiful estate and it seemed out of place compared to the rest of this forgotten place. The lawn was vast and filled with dense foliage, which seemed to only cement this place as a solemn, solitary world within the world.I approached cautiously and saw that the door had been splintered and torn off its hinges by the beast's forced entry. I don't know if anyone had survived the break-in, but I tensed my muscles anyways...waiting for the creature to appear and attack me at any moment. My heart began to pound as I approached the entryway. I walked in slowly, checking the area like a SWAT member clearing a room. It was silent in the immediate area. The place was almost as beautiful inside as it was out. The place was decorated with a post classical design in mind. The Gothic architecture flourished here. All the furniture was littered with Dust, however...probably because of years of neglect or lack of purpose to clean it. When the world is on the edge of going nuts, you don't have time to worry about cleanliness. I stepped into the parlor and was met with a knife hovering right at my throat and the soothing sound of a semi-automatic weapon being cocked. "Who are you?!" The voice behind the knife boomed. "Are you one of them?" "No, you probably already met him, I was just following him since this looked like where are the cool kids hang out. Now are you gonna get that knife off my neck or do I have to make it that way?" The woman behind the gun laughed "You're not gonna get her buddy, trust me." I peered at the girl and I was taken aback. All of the thoughts came back in a rush. The screams, the gunshots, the stench of corpses, the crimson color of blood running on the white tile floor of my apartment. Then I was suddenly brought back to reality by her sudden approach. She began to sniff me like an animal would when it's curious about something. She obviously had no problem invading people's personal boundaries, because her nose dangled at my neckline. "So? Who is he Grace" Knife-girl snarled. "He's not one of them, that's for sure. He looks intelligent enough not to be." With that, the death hold was released and I sighed in relief as I peered into Grace's eyes. Something seemed awfully familiar about her. Her looks showed her to be a woman who seemed to be very delicate, but her eyes showed her true strength. The kind of eyes that show a person has seen a lot of trauma in their lives. That all too familiar look on her face said it all. "What? You have a staring problem?" Again, I snap back into reality. "No no. I'm not one of them. My name's Korey. Care for a smoke?" The knife girl quickly plucked the cigarette from the carton, not hesitating at my offer. Grace took it cautiously and as I lit both cigarettes up, I decided to take a chance and get some info from these women. "So what are those things and why did they just try to attack you?"

  6. Mac's vs PC's. I've used both of them and currently I own a Gateway laptop that works perfectly fine. I have no qualms about using either Vista or OS10 as far as Operating Systems go. Both OS's run imaging programs fine, although Macs tend to lean more towards artsy stuff, where as PC's would be good for gaming and the like. As far as durablity goes, either one is fine. As long as you're not dropping it from a 5 story building, you should be fine. Mac products generally are very sturdy and can withstand a bunch of punishment. Also, there are programs to have your machine dual boot for Windows and OS10. So if you just HAVE to use a certain OS, you can go with both. Pretty nifty little function. The only qualm I would have is with the price of a Mac. New Macs are expensive. I got my laptop for around 600 dollars and it works beautfifully for me. So don't worry so much as to if Mac's or PC's would be worth it. Get what is gonna do it for you and fits in your price range.

  8. I think Music still holds as a valid response. Why does he have it as his major, why does he like it? Simple, Music is why. No further explanation needed, good sir. As for myself... 1) I'm a sophomore at New Mexico State University (Fighting Aggies) 2)My major is in Journalism/Mass Communication. 3) Why do I like it? Journalism is just my passion. I love to write, report, get quotes, fact gather, deadlines, creating images and graphics. Oooh such goodness contained in every bite :) 4) I'm going to use my degree to work for ESPN in sports journalism. I grew up watching Sportscenter and thought it would be awesome to work there. My current job is going to get my foot in the door to realize that goal. I'm going to work for the local sportscasting team at our school. Last year three of their crew got signed on to work for ESPN. Here's to hoping that I'm next! 5) What interests me is none of your concern. I've said it enough times in other threads for people to know. If you truly want to hear what I like, either PM me, IM me or look at said threads. I'm kinda getting tired of repeating myself. Basically, I like DDR, I like playing music, I like being with my girlfriend, I like hanging out with my friends on my days off.

Anyways... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ New Entry: http://rbmishere.blogspot.com/ User: TheRealBoogeyman New memory acquired, person: Jason Meyers Jason was a 21 year-old graduate of University of Lincoln in Shoreville, California. He was killed due to severe burns stemming from a fire that ignited in the apartment he was in. Jason has only one known surviving family member, his younger brother Korey. Korey's current whereabouts are unknown, but he was the last person reported seeing Meyers at the hospital before his demise. To whomever is connected with this grisly accident, we send our condolences. May his soul rest in peace. I turn off the television in my hotel room and slightly smirk. "Yeah, rest in peace bro. At least someone gets to have some."
  11. Gah, this is complicated but I love the aspect of having other's conscious/memories being a part of my own consciousness...so why not? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ If I would have known. If I would have known she'd betray me like that, I never would have met her in the first place. She's the reason why I can't sleep at night. The reason why I can't ever find peace. The reason why I'm constantly on the run from these "things". Why are they coming after me? What did I do to deserve such a hellish existance? Sometimes it's the voices in my head that scare me more than the monsters in the real world. They are always reminding me... "You loved her. You still do. Now go and find her." It drives me absolutely insane. The only way I can keep my sanity is to light up every now and then. It's a bad habit that never would have manifested had it not been for that night. What, you want to know what happened? Screw you. You don't wanna know, because if you knew...you'd be in the same boat as me and trust me, you wouldn't find it to be too comforting. For some reason though, I'm good at two things. One, would be messing lives up. Two, would be martial arts. The second makes no sense to me, as I was never good at martial arts. That would have been my brother. He was always the jock-ish type, while I slinked around the anti-social circles. I hated him for being so popular, with so little effort. I wished he'd go die in a fire. Shockingly, he did. He was with his girlfriend doing whatever they did together on Friday nights. I didn't pry, because it was pretty obvious he was messing around with this girl. I hated her too. She was one of those "good girlfriends". The kind that always called you just to say 'Hi', the one who surprised you with a visit. The one that you would do anything for. Blech. I'm kinda glad she died, because she made me sick with her purity. That's why I was relieved when I found her. She was a girl that always gave it to me straight, often times rather bluntly, but I appreciated that. She had skeletons in her closet and she would show them off to you with a sadistic grin on her face. She was rude, she was forceful, and I loved it. Oh here I go again, ranting about crap that is over and done. Now all I can do is run. So that's why I'm sitting here in this run-down apartment building, hiding out until they find me again. Clinging onto the one thing that I shouldn't be keeping. A small photo of me actually happy with her. It's probably the only picture that I have of me smiling. I feel something moist run down my cheek. I rub it off quickly. "*sighs* Feh, old habits die hard" I hear a crash outside the building. I peer outside and see a small house being broken into by one of them. "What the hell? What is he going in there for? Can't he sense me? Unless..." There's no way. No possiblity. How can someone else have what I have? I sit there and ponder what my options are. I don't just show up and go "Hey guys! You going insane too?". But curiosity only killed the cat, didn't say anything about me. "*sighs again, to reassure himself* Ok Korey, let's see what the fuss is". I grab my jacket, stuff the picture back in my pocket and take one last drag before heading out. Showtime. ~~~~~~~~~~ Since this thing is being a little bugger about the attachments, a link will have to do. 21. Apparently, I'm too much of a wuss to even stand a chance to Petie's broadsword.... That's comforting. Oh just as a funny little thing, could you have me kill Indi? She often refers to me as "slave", so I would like a little rebellion if you will. I don't really mind how the death occurs, all creative license goes to you. Bon chance!
No hard feelings boss, just thought'd I'd chime in ;)

  22. I would suggest playing through the MGS series if you haven't already. I loved all the games (Metal Gear Solid 3 being my personal favorite). The stories are about as convoluted as any heterogeneous paint mixture, but the action is always high and the amount of "lolwut?" moments are always high. I often spend time just messing around in the game and seeing what happens.
You'll be surprised the first time that you look up in MGS2 on the Plant and a bird poops on you
. I loved the boss fights in the game, with the most memorable fight probably being against Pyscho Mantis. That fight is always very challenging , especially when you figure out why he can "read your mind".

    Mega Man 9

After seeing some gameplay footage from E3 and on various other game sites (IGN mostly), I must say I'm stoked for this one as well. It's been fun to play all the newer entries in the X series, but I always wanted an older MM game with all the classic Megaman goodness, including the old sprites. Which reminds me, I still have yet to beat Megaman and Bass.... I hope they ramp up the difficulty for this game, and NOT put in a difficulty selection that includes easy. Megaman is always known for it's difficulty and I want to keep it that way. As far as it only be available via download, that's perfectly fine for me. I've been downloading XBLA materials and it doesn't bother me one bit NOT to have the physical parts of the game. That means the game won't ever NOT load or cease working due to wear and tear, since it's saved on your harddrive. It's really the direction we're headed towards anyways, since file sizes for online games can be virtually limitless. Plus, it would save on some production costs, methinks.
  24. Korey

    Xbox 360

The basic model of the 360 should do nicely. Since you don't want to be on XBL, 20gbs is fine. Save files don't take up that much space and with out XBL memory won't be an issue.
  25.
Korey's right --
ZING!:catgirl: Not a problem Gelgoog Pilot, always glad to be of service. Sometimes you have to swallow the bitter pill and go what's gonna be better for you in the long run. You may have good times with this girl, but you gotta ask yourself..."Is she meeting my needs?" If the answer is anything less than an emphatic 'Yes' , then it's better off for you to just move on and find someone that does.
