I'm not sure what the trend is here. I understand it's getting close to the holiday's but what is up with people dropping out? I'm just waiting on the chance to start up again, but without some sort've direction it's a little difficult. Anybody care to move us along?

Thanks so much for everyones help. I know, as most of you pointed out, without knowing somebody it's near impossible to give advice. I've decided to go ahead and contact the authorities, but I'm going to do so without informing anybody, not even my fiancee. This way if push comes to shove she can't hold too much of a grudge against my fiancee since she didn't have any knowledge of it beforehand. I'll post on here at a later date and let everyone know how things went. Again, I can't thank you enough for the advice, I hold the opinions of those here higher than most people I know. That may sound odd since I don't speak to much of you directly, but it's easy to see that kind of people that are regulars on here.

Writing The Reaper: The Brotherhood
Drizzt Do'urden replied to Drizzt Do'urden's topic in Creative Works
~First off I need to apologize for this taking so long. My computer feel victim to a virus during the busiest season at work, so now I'm restricted at work and I have no comp at home. I'll try and get back to posting two times a week, but it will probably only be on Saturday's for awhile. I hope you enjoy this next part of it, its not my favorite but I couldn't wait any longer. It wasn?t very long into my descent that the soothing combination of smells filled my nostrils. Brimstone, burning flesh, and the oh so sickening sweet scent of sulfur. One thing I?ve hated since I started this was the free fall from heaven. For some reason I?m yet to uncover a power that will allow me to teleport from heaven elsewhere. It?s easy enough to teleport around the earth by focusing my energies through my blade when it?s buried in the ground. Even getting to heaven is easy this way since the ?highway? that I send the souls on is connected to the earth itself, but the ?highway? is a one way street and not even I can use the connection in reverse. No instead I?m free-falling a countless number of miles to the earth, and then I have to go through the earth. I?ve been accused of being hard headed before, but I tell you this crosses the line a bit. As my descent nears the end the drop starts to ease up; apparently god doesn?t want me breaking my face on Satan?s floor. I?m hoping this means he?s on my side, but more the more likely explanation is that he doesn?t want to make a mess and piss Satan off. I slow so much that the last hundred yards or so is just a walking pace down; which is quite remarkable. Even I don?t get this view of hell, and I must say I like it. You can see every fire pit, torture house, and even the lake of fire that most occupants enjoy?.or rather most occupants are put here would be the better choice of words. Straight below me is Satan?s main palace. Apparently God?s plan is to stick me right in the center and hope I?m not unannounced or this is really going to suck. Luckily for me it appears I am a planned guess, not that this will make it suck any less though. Satan has always had it out for me. Divine blessing, reap and destroy souls, and get the perks of having my own sub-kingdom with none of the torture, and the best perk is I have free movement between all three realms; though getting back from heaven as I mentioned earlier leaves a lot to be desired. As I land softly on the floor in the center of the courtyard I immediately draw my blade and prepare to destroy a few demons. They amazingly enough back off and go back to work patrolling the perimeter; protecting the castle from a force that will never come. As always he enters in a fantastic manner. Now I don?t mean fantastic as in a good thing, I mean showy, wasteful, boastful, basically everything you hate in a cocky guy at a bar, just a side note: those guys are my favorite. They?re the ones that pick a fight they can?t win and I get to reap them after they just got their assess kicked. Just in front of me there is an explosion, followed by another, and yet again another. Glorious explosions that show flames in every color of the spectrum, finally ending in jet black flames that stay hovering over the ground. The heat from these black flames makes me cringe; sure I spend a lot of time in hell, but not all the time so I?m never exposed to Satan?s black flame. It?s said that the black flame is hot enough to burn God himself. Satan steps out of them unscathed and impressive. Unlike God, Satan takes pride in how others perceive him. Just like me he can transform into anyone he wants to be, except his powers go further. He can transform himself into a creature, or any combination of them. In his current form I can?t decide what animals he?s chosen. Satan stands at least 10 ft tall with the build of a Mr. Universe candidate. Well other than the fact that his skin is the color of a human body that just lost its skin. His legs end in hooves that are either horse hooves or giant goat hooves. His hands are human, but boast bear like claws each razor sharp. He does indeed have horns coming out of his head, sometimes as big as longhorns; this time, however, he choose amore modest pair of 6 or 7 inch horns jutting from his forehead. Before I can finish checking out his latest form he begins speaking with the voice that shakes the very foundation of his kingdom. ?Reaper, what business do you have here?? I leave my sword drawn, but reach into my cloak and bring forward the metal St. Peter handed me just moments before. The inevitable explosion of anger springs outward like a snake that had been coiled up for hours. The force itself is enough to cause me to slide about a foot or so backwards; I can?t honestly say I?m not impressed. ?You would be the one to wield the Divine Diamond?? His voice booms, it now seems sad which means any second acid rain will start falling from the ceiling; never figured out why hell responds to Satan?s emotions in this way. It is nice to finally know what I hold in my hand is none other than the Divine Diamond. The metal, well rather mineral, that is so strong it can literally cut through the bars on the gate into heaven. ?You?re lucky Reaper. I could take that from you, make my own blade, and storm into heaven. Alas, your enemy Isaac has grown too powerful. He has just perfected his technology and is now able to see the spirit realms and all in them. This ability has given him insight into how to kill us?.your enemy is now our common enemy.? I can?t believe it, in a matter of a day Isaac is strong enough to actually kill souls, and that means me included. -
Gaming Scrabble game teaches kids swearwords
Drizzt Do'urden replied to Rachmaninoff's topic in Noosphere
Yes it would be much better to use the rating. M: For mature Language E: For Everyone. First of all that would be silly, there's only so much room in the ratings area. Secondally that is why you should read the manual before playing any game. Sadly enough, they wouldn't boost the ratings much higher these days even with no swear word cutting option. These days kids here worse language on television then any game, but if she talks to her child about the words and starts using the junior option she wouldn't have anything to worry about.. -
I believe the game is pretty much over since they've figured out who the last werewolf is. I do think also though they are all waiting for sephiroth to give them the final word, but for all extensive purposes it's over

Now I'm looking for advice on possibly what and if I should say something to my fiancee's sister. She is, or was rather, a good person. Spent time with her kids (of which she has 2), only drank once or twice a month, didn't smoke or do drugs. (She now drinks 4-5 times a week HEAVILY, has nothing to do with her kids, and at least smokes weed) She began seeing somebody through an internet dating site. As these things happen they met through there, emailed each other, chatted, and fell in love. About a month ago this guy called her from a nearby corrections facility demanding a ride and a place to live; it seemed he was just released from his second "tour of duty" as a resident of said facility for drug related offenses. When I say drug related I don't mean pot, I mean coke, Ex, meth, the list runs on. Now I do believe that you can be reformed, but the way he called her and demanded a ride and a place to crash. Now this guy, don't ask me how I still don't believe it, gained custody of his two children upon release from prison (yes with no job and no official place to live. Once again I still can't believe it.) So now it's my fiancee's sister, her two kids, his two kids, and two of his cousins living together in a two bedroom home. Now first of all, I do realize you can't help who you love. But can you help who somebody else loves? I know there are giong to be several people who are say/think. Oh if she loves him and he's willing to work on himself its none of my damn business. But first of all its not fair to the kids, secondally she's working 65 hours a week to pick up his slack. And he's back on coke (yes sadly enough I've seen him do it while I was picking up my neice and nephew (well my fiancee's). So I guess I need some advice. She's stubborn as a mule and if you start talking about it will just hang up the phone on you. So I need to decide whether to have her family (this is a mutual thing) sort've jump her next time they're all at her mother's house. In front of him if need be. I've also considered calling the police, I know where he hides his "stash" and I've met a couple of his "customers" and they wouldn't be hard to track down. But then I'm afraid she'll know it was me and I won't be able to see the kids (yes she's the kind of person that uses the fact that she has kids to her advantage) anymore. Or worse she would take it out on my fiancee and not allow her to see the kids either.... To explain that a little more, due to a childhood incident. There is a slim chance my fiancee will ever be able to concieve, so she sort've "adopts" her neices and nephews as her own children (in a metaphorical way). And losing them even for a short period of time (we keep them overnight 3-4 times a week) So any advice would be appreciated, I know that in the end its not even my decision to make. But if I can have a positive impact on the situation in any way it would mean so much.

Yup, he's the one you should've got ahold of. There's not much that allamorph can't do! and don't continue because of the soap-operish feel comment. There are several routes to the story you can go that don't include the father's evil twin brother adopting him and rasing him.

~Stop it, tell me one thing that's wrong with your post?~ Keith strode around the market district of Pandora with his head held high. In just a few days he was to be annointed a full-fledged knight of Pandora. An honor his father, his grandfather, and great grandfather all received, and one he took very seriously. One kicker to this was his age; normally he would have to wait until his 28th birthday, but his battle prowess and devotion to the safety of Pandora has earned him the title 4 years early. He wouldn't deny he took a small amount of pride in being who he was. He pretended not to notice the young women giggling when he walked by, though he would never give any of them the time of day. Not because he was conceited and saw himself as being "above" them. No it was because his love was this city that he called his home, and would do anything to protect it. There was something that made Keith pause though. There was a peculiar young woman in the market as well. There was something odd about her in that her ears were quite...well quite large. In fact they appeared to something of dog ears on her head. Intrigued keith began making his way to her, but before he could get close she dissapeared into the crowd. Dishearted, Keith began making his way again to the palace..... ------------------------Day of Knighting Ceremony----------------------- Keith stood in front of the lord of Pandora, pushing back the smile he felt brewing inside. He was wearing his ceremonial robes, his squires blade in the scabbard along his waist. (Of course it wasn't an actual weapon, just a blunt status symbol). Sitting in front of him, on an extravegant violet silk pillow was the blade of a Pandoran Knight. The ceremony continued with readings of all his heroics, most surpassing many of the current knights. As Keith began unstrapping his blade, something took him. It started off as a chill running down his spine, then the chill turned in to a freezing sensation that took his breath away. Keith looked around the room, the freezing sensation seemed to be taking everyone around him. The people gathered for his corination were all staring straight ahead, frozen in time. Keith watched, unable to move as the walls began to crumble and break away. It seemed as though some outside force was destroying one of the oldest towns in the world, a town that took a thousand years to build, in mere seconds. In a matter of seconds there was nothing, just a barren landscape. Suddenly something caught Keith's eye. Just a short distance away was a brilliant red glowing form that was melting the ice. Following right behind was an emaculate white form that was replenishing the ice as it melted. At once the two entities turned and struck one another, the force created a shockwave that decimated anything standing above ground level. Keith watched in horror as it closed in, almost in slow motion. It seemed as though this would be the end, the end of the world if the two things were not stopped. Keith tried to reach for his shield, his blade, anything that would protect him from the wave of destruction, but it was all in vain. The wave struck him, he watched in horror as his hands began breaking away like grains of sand. He tried to scream but nothing came out, then all of a sudden he was screaming. He was standing in his ceremonial robes, screaming like a child awaking from a nightmare. His father shaking him, as he settled down Keith did the only thing he could do. He passed out.....

RPG Konoha Chronicles - The Torn Earth [M - V, L]

Okaru wouldn't lie to himself, he actually liked Ryokotsu-Sensei. He seemed to carry himself much in the way Okaru did; an appearance of being carefree and uninterested, but the ability to be aware of everything around you. It didn't hurt to be deemed the strongest either, however if Ryokotsu would have known about their ploy the day before he would realize the strongest is the female he's losing the battle of wills with. Okaru had found himself looking at Hotaru differently then usual. Her demonstration of her genjitsu skill level showed her in a whole different light. Right now he couldn't quite put his finger on it, but something....something was different about Hotaru. Okaru found himself wanting to befriend her, work with her, learn from her, and just be a real teammate. Matsuda was a different story though. Sure he packed a hell of a punch, but could he pick up the slack when it came down to life or death time? His lack of confidence could come back to bite them in the ass one day. He has the power, just not the confidence. Maybe if he's pushed... "You're starting to annoy me. Just because I give you a back-handed compliment does not mean you're free from critique." Ryokotsu-sensei's voice broke through Okaru's thoughts. "If you would pay attention I'm pointed out all the flaws of your teamates for you, so there's no need to eye the the girl and then the other guy. Unless you two are competing for her or you just have a thing for her and you feel threatened by him you should just pay attention to me for now okay?" Okaru allowed himself a little smile at the berating. Things seemed like they were going to be good with Ryokotsu-sensei, hard, but good. -
I like the way you started this out, and I can honestly say that I can't wait to read more. I'd like to offer some sort of critique, but for right now the first insert was so short I can't say I have any.

Due to my lack of computer time I can sadly say I haven't had the opportunity to be better acquainted with any members of the boards. But it is always nice to see people fall in love and reach this stage in their relationship. So congrats to both of you, and I'm sure you've heard it a hundred times already but we'd love to see pictures from the wedding if you wouldn't mind sharing them with us.

Rev Theory- Voices. Sure its a wrestler's entrance music, but I don't see why we can't share.

Gaming The Classic Games Club: 1 Game a Month, and We All Discuss It!
Drizzt Do'urden replied to Doublehex's topic in Noosphere
Not having a personal PC is really killing me now that this idea sprung up. I'll be more than happy to add my two cents once you've hit consoles up, but for now, alas, I must sit on the sidelines. Be careful getting into games that cost $ to play, especially this time of the year. Most people are looking to spend their hard on cash on others and many may not be able to participate. Thus the first one being console that's free to download is probably the best bet right out of the gate, unless you're looking to get started sometime after the new year. Though this is your baby Matt, your best bet would be to select 5 games (depending on how many people are interested) and let everyone vote. Don't pick the same games over and over again such as: First vote a) Mario III b)Contra c) Final Fantasy I d) Zelda: Link to the past f) Sonic the Hedge hog. Then on the next month since you did games that are easily accessible for console switch it up. Next vote do strictly PC games, that way you can do a different genre every month (just the way I would do it if I were you. Plus this way you maintain control and not everyone is just rattling off ideas for weeks trying to decide on one game) -
Well I'd have to say Coca Cola Classic is my favorite POP to drink. I don't know I guess its just what I grew up on so that's why I like it. Right now, though, I've been drinking Diet Coke which isn't nearly as good. But I'm going to keep it up through the holidays. You have to balance out eating all that holiday food somehow.

"Damn" The acolyte muttered outloud as he whipped the flaming steeds in an attempt to increase their speed. "What's the problem lyte?" Vael asked in an almost hiss. This was a definite sign of weakness, and just the thought of it made Acolyte sick to his stomach. "The battle has already begun in the peach garden. I'm sure that right now the demon witch is sending her minions after your friends. What worries me is when they finish and must face off against her themselves. I don't think they can handle it...." Acolyte spured them on harder and harder. These were no ordinary horses so there was no fear of running them to death. There was, however, a real fear that the 5 members engaged would die before they arrived. Finally, off in the distance the ensuing battle was visible. More accurate you could see the cloud of minor demons descending on a slightly larger object that was the chariot they all arrived in. Suddenly, as quick as lightning, a light flashed and everything was gone. Instead a large sphere, appearing to be made out of wather, covered the land as far as the eyes could see. "What's that?" Maia's small voice squeaked behind Acolyte. "That is a prison for your friends. An inpenetrable orb that appears to be one thing on the outside. The inside, however, is an entire world of illusion magic your friends must battle. Now I need some ideas on how to break in from you two....otherwise your friends may be done." OOC: Sorry for my abscence its been tough with no home PC to find computer time. Just wanted to give you guys a heads up, the landscape on the inside has changed dramatically. For now we'll go with a polar enviroment. You guys are still locked in battle with the minnions, however now they have changed into ice demons. After a few of your posts I'll make another small one and switch the enviroment. Feel free to find shelter, continue to fight in the blizzard like enviroment, or whatever. Just don't fight Ursula yet; I'll bring her in with my next post.

Sounds like you've really expaned the story since you ran it by me Lunar, and as I said with the intro I really like it.

Malice noted the ears on his cellmate long before she apologized. It was obvious she wasn't as used to this sort've life as he was. A normal person would try to figure out what was wrong wouldn't they? Well perhaps it was time for him to start. "Well Kurenai I don't know what brought you here but I hope to god you enjoy this cell. They've been keeping me here for..." A clink sound snapped Malice's attention away; for the first time since Kerenai arrived the key in the lock was turning. Suddenly a man walked in, Malice recognized him but his name was lost. "I'm Dr. Gereon. You two have been choosen to serve your country. The basics is that it is a rescue mission. The details you will learn in the debriefing room. If you'd like to leave these confines, please feel free to follow Hans to meet up with your squad. If not, rot in this cell." Without another word the man exited the room and turned towards the other cells. "Finally time to stretch my legs" Malice thought to himself. "Come pup, lets go" Malice growled at Kurenai. He knew she was scared, or rather nervous would be a better word. But he was sure Gereon would be true to his word and leave whoever didn't come willingly in the cell to rot. Malice rose up, walked to Hans and waited for Kurenai to follow.

I'm all for a nice mission I'll send Malice on his way..

Gustave hated cell; due to years upon years of being forced to live in them you would have thought he would grow accustom to their "secuity". This wasn't the case though, no not with Gustave. The walls seemed to close in on him more and more every second, plus to make matters worse he was sharing this one with another, a girl that stunk of dog. "Are you okay?" Her voice pierced the darkness, apparently the sounds he heard were not just in his head this time, they were instead coming from him. All he could muster was a gruntlike sound he determined was a "Fine". "I don't think we'll be here for very long." Something in her voice calmed Gustave, though he couldn't pin point exactally what, that something seemed to pull him out of his personal prison the Germans had created for him. "Malice" He managed to grunt out towards her in a pitiful attempt at introducing himself. He was surprised he had another cell mate, the last 5 had been torn to shreds. Hell he didn't even give the others a chance to learn his name....well at least his nickname. Nobody new his real name, and probably nobody ever would. He would only reveal it to a person who he could truly care about....and he had never met anyone like that. The girl didn't answer right away, most likely due to the inaudible words he was spewing. She must be strong to be placed in this cell with him. He would not attempt to strike at her, no he would use her to once again find his human side...if he still had one. Not wanting to push her away with grunts and moans, Malice decided to wait and see if the girl would attempt to speak with him again.

The intro is even better than I thought it was going to be Lunar :animesmil Name: Keith Alexander Age: 24 Gender: Male Appearance: Keith Personality: Slow to anger, kind, loving are the best words to describe Keith when he's with his friends/loved ones. Calm, Calculating, Protective, and Vicious describe him when it comes to battle. Being the son of a chivalrous knight, Keith has developed a protect the weak mentality that sometimes he can take to far. Power/Weapon: Green Lighning: Keith can call upon green lightning from the sky. He can also store a small amount of the lightning in his body for use when he doesn't have a clear sky. Keith also weilds a broadsword that is roughly the size of a man. When a small switch is engaged the blade folds out completly and becomes a Staff with two blades at each end. His power stems from a long heritage of "knights" whose spirist have given them all fantastic powers. -

OOC: Sorry this is so short, had to do it quick at work. This will be my only one like this promise. "What are the odds?" Okaru thought to himself after the teams were announced. It seemed more then mere coincidence that Okaru, Hotaru, and Matsuda had been assigned to the same team. Fate also came across, but even it feel short. "Guess our little show didn't go unnoticed." Okaru shot a glance at Hotaru who of course had her blank, impossible to read stare. Then he glanced at Matsuda who was staring forward in disbelief, with a redmark on his face from the desk. Finally he shot a glance at Hoto.....after upstaging Chozo the other day, he would have his work cut out for him. Settling back in his chair Okaru resigned himself to listening to Raiga-Sensei's tearful final lecture. He was on a team that has already proven itself once. He was with people who complimented his skills well, what was there to be worried about?
