1.
Ok so yea this is a no brainer. "people should not use words beacuse it ruins there communication" perfectly understandable. "Im am the rasha and my boyfriend"perfect sense. Oh and my personal favorite"math explains everything" yup a 2 year old understands that one. :catgirl:
Oh, those. Them ideas are rather deep but they were from the "filler" episodes of Arjuna; episodes that the series didn't really need. That's why I said Arjuna was "fillerific" and (the plot was) a cinch to understand.
  2. ^ Good one. If dragons exist(ed), studying their life processes would fall under "science". If alchemy did work and there really was a Philosopher's Stone, synthesis would also fall under "science". Heck, if somebody discovered Materia, determining the best way to summon the king of Espers would be called a "science". But you know, the search for conclusive, empirical evidence for all these things is "science" too. Science is not just about known general truths, IMO. Great discoveries and leaps in the field have been conceived by imaginative thinkers and those brave enough to explore possibilities once deemed "impossible". That's why I rarely say that something's impossible 'cause someday, the evidence might just turn up and bite me in the ***.
  3. Whoa... Dang, the painted feel of the pictures are incredible! The style of coloring complements the fantasy theme really, really well! Absolutely brilliant! I love it to pieces! *shakes Hyptosis's hand* Um, ehrm. I agree with Chikara Kokoro that the panelling needs a bit more work. Panels in some pages don't flow properly, IMO. Perhaps it would help if you overlap them, just to guide the eyes to the next panel. Keep up the good, nay, excellent work!
  4. Oh. I was wondering
who Shirosaki was. "Ikasoruk" I get, but I really thought Shirosaki was the spectacle-girl.
Hehe. Nah, I don't think
we're gonna see the last of Shirosaki once Ichigo beats him. I'm guessing he'll be incorporated into Ichigo's Bankai or something. Since Ichi's got an insanely powerful opponent, injecting more god-mode juice into his Bankai seems like the only way he can get more powerful. He won't exist as a single, independent entity at least.
*shrugs* That's what I think.
  5. Alright, kiddies! It's about time this side of the Prefecture had a new game. One that will try your memory, resourcefulness and powers of observation. On that will test your familiarity with the styles of the artists here in OB. Here's how the game works: You post an image file and we'll try to figure out who made it. Easy as pie. Guidelines:

The piece needn't have appeared here in Art Studio but please make sure that it was made by someone from OB.
Give at least ONE (1) clue about the artist.
The first one to correctly guess the artist will provide the pic for the next round.
Don't forget to tell us the reason behind your guess. Did the style give the artist away? Have you seen it before in the artist's thread? A sentence or two would be fine.
Of course, the artist cannot, I repeat, cannot guess for that round. It'll be really weird if someone came up and said "The style looks familiar and it's well-rendered. Maybe I made it." ^^
That's it. Hope everything's clear. Let's see how well we know each other, yeah? +=+=+=+=+=+=+ Clues: "Every Little Bit Hurts", "Ichigo, Zangetsu", Last-Man-Standing and OtakuDeviants +=+=+=+=+=+=+ P.S.: If this thread ain't up to Art Studio's standards, feel free to delete it. P.P.S.: Have fun!
  6.
Also another complicated (but good one) is Arjuna. Was a little confused later.
Arjuna wasn't complicated. It was just a fillerific anime that by watching only the first three episodes plus the last two, you'd be able get a good idea of what it's about. Everything in between was J-dorama mixed in with lectures about the environment (which were well thought out but irrelevant to the plot, IMO). And don't take NGE's ending too seriously. The concept and story are terrific enough that they can support NGE's "Classic Anime" status even without the debatable ending.
  7. Yeah, Azuma and Yano(-kun) were part of that exercise and one of them showed up in later episodes (I think). And now that you mentioned it, she does look like her avatar in the online forum! I am rather intrigued about that particular scene somewhere near the3/4 mark of the trailer where
Batou was pointing a gun at a figure in a white coat who turns out to be the Major!
Hideo Kuze
also wore a similar coat
. I wonder if there's a connection...

  9. Seconded, especially if it ends with a few of your favorite characters dying. Well-rendered endings are a whole lot worse than crappy endings 'cause they tend to stick to your brain much, much longer (take GITS:SAC 2nd Gig's, for example). But still, I'd rather see a series' ending and catch that "empty feeling" than forever wonder how they concluded the story.
  10. GITS: SAC -Solid State Society (Linkage to the spoilerific trailer and poster) Ah, because Production I.G. has to sate the saga's fans. Judging from the poster, looks like Gouda and Kuze's coming along for the ride. Then I read from Dagger's article at theOtaku that there will be more Section 9 members this time. Let's see if we can guess 'em all: Section 9

Chief Aramaki
The Major (new haircut!)
Batou (new haircut!)
Togusa (same old mullet)
Paz
Saito
Bouma (if that's him in the trailer, well, he's still bald)
Ishikawa
Proto
Azuma (Or Yano;
can't figure out who died in 2nd Gig. one of them can be sitting beside Togusa in the trailer, though.
)
I'm guessing that (spoiler related to 2nd gig)
they'll probably add in Kuze's uploaded ghost as a surprise Section 9 member.
It's a long shot, but it's possible. ^^
The bets are off as to who's gonna be the newest members of Section 9! Are we gonna see newer versions of think tanks?
Will we see the long-awaited return of the Tachikomas?
When will Togusa get rid of that mullet? What do you think?
  11. Most favorable. I get to rate White's sig. Bohahaha! The leafy background alone merits you a good 5 points in my book. I love the colors (odd, but still nature-y) and because you didn't make 'em all the same size (re: leaves), you get another point. You used the right effects for the text and the shameless self-promotion brings the score to 9/10. ;P Congratulations, Chief.
  12. Texhnolyze, definitely. Yeah, probably because I've never been exposed to any anime of its genre the first time I saw it. It doesn't begin with a speech from the main character or the usual "Ohayoooouuuu!" scriptwriters like to put in as a sort of tangible representation to the anime milestone that is the Beginning. No, Texhnolyze doesn't start with any dialogue at all. No voices 'til you're 10 minutes into the first episode. It was Silence that got me hooked into the series. That's a pretty impressive feat, IMO.
  13. ^ Wow, this is like, "Long time no see" yeah? How's it feel like to be doing requests again? EDIT: BTW, I thought you requested for an avatar as well but you didn't. Gonna throw it into the package anyways. ^^
  14. Um...*raises a hand* could your provide a link to a full-sized version of the wallpaper you made? At the size it's in, it's pretty hard to tell it it's too blurry for theOtaku. But still, you did put in some effort in extracting the subject and rendering the background. That should merit some points.
  15. It's Short Cuts for me. Yes, I know. It's ecchi bordering on hentai at times but the randomness of the 190+ "cuts" (ministories) and the sheer number of ko-gal jokes Usamaru Furuya cracked is just staggering. But it's the randomness, mostly.
  16. Due to a not-so-sudden, probably indefinite episode of indolence (read: laziness), Delta will be postponing further updates of her Rikku fanart. Stay tuned for more announcements regarding said project and thank you all for your patronage. *bows* +++++++++++ BOHAHAHA!!! THE SPIRITS ARE ALWAYS WITH YOU!!! Yes, can you tell? It's a BLEACH-related update! But it ain't about Don Kan'onji or the Karakura Five. No, it's someone more profound and much, much closer to my heart. Type: Wallpaper Subject: Madarame Ikkaku Source Materials:

Hokusai's The Wave
an Ikkaku screencap from Animegalleries.net
Background info: Ah, yes. It's practically glowing with fangirl-love. I've always wanted to make something that looks like those Ajikan CD illustrations by Yusuke Nakamura. This wallpaper's color scheme is actually patterned after the cover of "World Apart", one of the more recent Ajikan releases which contains the single Eien ni (thus the title!). Ain't the final version yet. I feel that it's still missing something but I don't know exactly what. That's where you guys come in! Please tell me what you think ofmy wallpaper and, if possible, give me a few pointers on how to improve it.
  17. Hope you like 'em! Please tello me if I need to change anything.
  18. Shi no Tenshi always posts the most interesting stuff! Yep, yep! 1. If your avatar has a character, what race, age and gender is it? That's Faye Valentine. Female, 23 years of age in the animation series and single. 2. Would you say your avatar is masculine, feminine or both? Why? It's exuding femininity with a hint of manliness, IMO. Note that it's more of "tough chick" than "tomboy". 3. Does it have mature or childish attributes? Methinks the smoking bit and the retro feel give it a more mature look. 4. What gender and race are you? Proudly Filipino and female. Rawr. 5. When you meet someone online, unless they specify, do you feel you naturally think of them as white?) Yep, yep! Happens to me all the time. It's the language the member uses (English), I think, that makes me think that the member's white. It's the same with Nippongo=Japanese, etcetera, etcetera. 6. Do you roleplay? If yes, identify your roleplaying character in terms of race, history, gender and sexual preference. Gender: Hrmm, I've roleplayed both female and male characters before but my male characters tend to be uninterested in women. History: I go for a military background whenever it's permitted 'cause it's a lot easier to cook up and not a lot of players opt for it. Otherwise, background stories for my characters will have a prodigal son/daughter flavor added into them. Race: Don't think about it unless it's a matter of human/vampire/elf/lizardman. 7. Have you ever been mistaken for another race or gender or have been asked due to the lack of detail in your profile? See #10-11 8. Have you mistaken others for being of another race, age or gender? How many times? Yes. I thought Dagger was my age or even older. Also, see #5. 9. What does your online nickname mean or how did you come up with it? The "delta" I had in mind was a fan-shaped collection of sediments at the mouth of a river, not a Greek letter. ^_^ 10. Do you think people online tend to correctly guess your age, race or gender most of the time without being told? Not all the time. I've been mistaken for someone from Greece, Australia, India, Japan and Indonesia (close, but no cigar!). It's usually my nicknames and the way I talk (or write, wth) that make them think so. 11. Do you think people tend to correctly guess your sexual preference without being told? If I remember correctly, I have been mistaken for a straight male in OB a year ago. Probably 'cause I sound like it if I'm not talking about shoes and makeovers. 12. Would you feel threatened if people online knew your age, gender, race or sexual preference? If so, why? Nah. It's trivial info so I wouldn't mind giving it out.
  19. MSN-00100 Hyaku Shiki 'cause it needn't be red to be three times more superior. No, rly. I like it for the fact that if it weren't for Hyakushiki, Zeta would be less awesome than it was in the series. It's also one of the more flashy Gundams; the gold exterior of Hyakushiki was installed
just to spite the Titans ("look! we can build a really cool gundam right under your noses! roflmao!")
Being piloted by the Red Comet is also a plus.

    Socks

I never was a fan of white socks. Even as a student in a high shcool with a strict uniform code, I wore red socks with little multicolored dashes. Deviants get pushups for wearing colored socks but I've always managed to talk my way out of them. (Go me!). The closest I've got to white socks is a pair of baby pink tabi socks without the requisite buttons on the sides. That pair I heart to pieces 'cause it ain't as stuffy as regular socks and I can wear them with my pink slippers. Cute as hell. Oh, and I am particularly fond of my fishnet stockings (do they count?). I wear them when I'm feeling crummy. Those plus a few highkicks and I feel a whole lot better. ♥
  21. I've nothing but praises for Sakura Wars. It ain't heavy with drama and it's got really innovative mecha concepts and designs. The time period's really ain't something that mecha anime creators would delve in 'cause it's a bit, you know, ancient but SW managed to incorporate and adapt mecha technology into pre-WWII Tokyo. The theater sequences and back stories ain't shabby either. There is actual character development ineach of the cast members and you get a happy ending to boot! A feel good anime with stand-alone episodes is always a good find.
  22. The metallic 3D effect you placed on "Operation 6" is most excellent. Had the letter "a" been a bit more readable (the t's fine), the text/typography/decorative what-have-you would have been absolutely perfect! I also like the shade of yellow you used 'cause it reminds me of those "Caution" tapes people place around car crash sites. It's a tad too wide in the left though. Since the text's roughly in the center, I think there should equal amounts of nothingness in all regions 'round the subject.
  23. I've always wanted one of them ecchi French maid uniforms 'cause, ah, ehrmm... just because! ;P I've been lugging tons of books and stuff lately so it would be nice if I had my own manslave (yes, a male servant). Well, not really a slave; divas are still capable of taking pity on beasts of burden so I'd rather he willingly did everything I ask of him without pay than have a miserable bondsman.
  24. Water won't kill my cellphone... 'tleast I think it won't considering the number of times I've used it to take pictures during particularly eager precipitation of meteoric waters. ^^ I can confidently say that I am not dependent on my cellphone. I rarely use it for purposes other than timekeeping and picture-taking (IOW, it's useless when you move about in a world where there's a clock in every room and everyone's got a digicam). But yeah, I don't deny the relative comfort my cellphone gives, knowing that I can call my folks if something comes up (something rarely does, but still!). I am rather attached to my PC though, but not too attached that my world would crumble if it breaks down. I mean, it (well, the Internet at least) is a really convenient thing to have if I rushing reports, but everything important I need to know I've got in my head (oh, the confidence!) and I only have to hit the books if I've to look up stuff, yeah?
  25. Oh my... If I received a card that said the same thing, I probably wouldn't know what to make of it. Though it would be nice to receive an "I miss you" card, "I'm the angel from your nightmare" almost sounds like the sender intends to scare away whoever'll receive it. The pic is really, really cute so I guess a simple "I miss you" would be best (written in a friendly-looking font, IMO). ^^
