I havn't been in the boards all that long but I think that the post quality is pretty good. You can't mention 2-3 RP's out of the tons that have been introduced and generalize that they're all n00bish. I do, however, believe that people should read the rules before posting, not just at the square, but anywhere. How can you post adequately without even knowing the rules and regulations of the forum your posting in?

Dain woke abruptly to the sight of his mother standing before him, an evil smile draped across her face. "What are you doing here?!" Dain shouted franticly. She sighed and strolled over to his bed side "Watching you squirm actually. You've finally had your epiphany" she said, her smile growing even larger. Dain rose to his feet, watching his mother closely "What are you talking about?" he asked. Lucia sighed once again "Your epiphany. You've finally realized that you were meant to fight for evil. Your past, your history as angel, it was all a front. I knew you'd come back someday, and here you are." Dain gritted his teeth angrily "You're wrong. You're mouth speaks nothing but lies, I have no reason to believe you or listen to anything you have to say." Lucia began to laugh "You're a fool. You can't deny your destiny. You've seen it. You were meant to kill your brother, evil will reign supreme" she spoke arrogantly. And with that she raised her arm clenching her fingers in Dain's direction. He fell to the ground, grasping his face as the voice from before returned. They screamed this time, noise cluttering his head. His eyes began to turn a dark shade of red. And as he rose to his feet once again he could feel that he had changed. The evil had overtaken him... OOC: Everyones doing really good. I'd like it to be a little more active though so everyone try to post a bit more. PM me for any questions.

Name: Akamatsu Shinomori Age: 27 Sex: Male Affiliation: Tokugawa Class: Samurai General, Scientist Appearance: Akamatsu Shinomori Weapon: Katana - long and precisely sharp, medium weight, commonly used, kept at his left. Explosives - small bombs kept in a pouch and adorning his belt, able to be lit with a twitch of his fingers. Wakizashi - short sword, thin and very light, commonly used for defense rather then offense, kept at his right. Fighting Style: Akamatsu has trained for years as a soldier of the Tokugawa dynasty. His style resembles that of the original sword techniques with a lot of his own revisions. He incorporates bombs into his sword attacks, as well as the use of two swords at once of different lengths. His katana and wakizashi combination is rare and incredibly hard to master. Akamatsu has yet to master the style, but is rather close after years of practice. He has a horse named Roku given to him when he first joined the army. He has trained for mounted battle as well and spends a lot of the time on the battlefield upon his horse. Personality: Akamatsu has a very strong personality. He speaks his mind and voices his opinion, even if it disheartens others. He is stubborn when it comes to most things. Over the years he's accepted a position as leader and doesn't like to follow the directions given by others. He has lived life by himself and denies having any feeling for another human being. He lives life for himself and his own happiness rather then that of others. He is very loyal to Tokugawa and will fight for no one else unless directed to. He dislikes compromising, but if the occasion calls for it he will. Biography: Akamatsu grew up on the streets of feudal Japan. He had no memory of his parents whatsoever and grew up alone, learning to take care of himself early on. He attended school as much as he could. He loved to learn, and he loved to read. He found books on science and chemistry most interesting. As he grew older he began experimenting with different elements and attributes creating explosives and other concoctions. Although he didn't have an impressive history, or any allegiance, he managed to get a job as a scientist under Tokugawa rule. He vowed to dedicate all his work to them, and from that day on was known for his Tokugawa allegiance and loyalty. As time went on he became better and better with chemistry and the mixing of different materials. He created more complex explosives and learned how to manipulate them to do what he chose. His supervisors were impressed, and decided to test him and his creations on the battlefield. Akamatsu had never really thought of himself as a warrior, but he found himself to be oddly good at it. He liked to use his own creations and enjoyed learning sword techniques and stances to use against opponents. He took on one of the more challenging "katana wakizashi" combinations. And soon aftwe was appointed to a soldier position to accompany that of his previous one as a scientist. His reward for recruitment was a horse by the name of Roku. This large brown stallion was thought to be one of the fastest in Japan. Akamatsu worked well with Roku, and they soon became an amazing team. Akamatsu was known as the best mounted soldier in the entire Tokugawa army. He rose through the ranks and was soon commanding forces of his own. He was incredibly loyal, and took pleasure in serving those who had accepted him. The first time he'd ever been accepted Final Thought: Strong. Loyal. Alone. Last Question: Just hope my my post is alright and isn't to late. I like feudal RP's and I'm looking forward to this one. If you have any questions for me, feel free to ask as well.

Aron burst from the cyclone of dirt around him towards his enemy. Debris flew through the air and Luke was almost blind as Aron's sword struck his shoulder, slicing through clothes as well as skin. Luke fell to the ground gripping his wound as blood began to flow from. Aron returned to the ground and turned to his opponent who knelt and winced in pain. Luke rose, roaring and sprinting towards Aron. Again swords swung rapidly, almost invisible as they clashed in the air. Aron's power had increased greatly and Luke was angry at his own underestimation of his opponent. He jumped back breathing heavily. His shoulder seeped even more blood, staining his shirt falling to the ground blending with dirt and causing a dark crimson color to emerge. He shook off the pain and ran towards Aron, who sheathed his sword immediately and swung his fist towards Luke. His gloved hand pounded Luke's face and his sword flew through the air landing a number of feet away from him. He fell to the ground, Aron almost immediately jumping on top of him. He straddled his opponent and struck his face wildly. Blood and spit shot in every direction as Aron's onslaught continued. With all his might he swung, his knuckles hardening under his rough gloves. Luke attempted to regain himself, kicking Aron to the ground and running to his sword. However, he stopped abruptly before reaching it. He turned to Aron and laughed, blood and cuts covering his face. "We'll continue this later, my job is done." And with that he disappeared. DONE OOC: I'm done with my series. As they walked Tsuke stumbled, finding it hard to walk over the cluttered ground. His eyes scanned the area around him, people moaned in agony crawling from the devastation. He felt helpless knowing he could do nothing for the people of Hiroshima. As they walked a hand grabbed his ankle from under the debris. He jumped slightly. A young attempted to pull herself from the ground, trapped under the pieces of her own him. Tsuke knelt before her, his hands gripping the edge of the large stone. He used all his might to lift it from her and throw it aside. He breathed heavily as he reached out his hand to help the girl up. Her rough bloody hand took his as she rose to her feet and ran away silently. Tsuke turned to Liang who smiled "That was a nice thing you did." Tsuke shrugged "I couldn't just leave her there." And with that a door seemed to appear from nowhere, it looked as though it was made of a sturdy oak. Tsuke examined it "I think this is our way out of here" he inquired. Liang nodded in agreement "I think so too, I just don't know why we were sent here, what was the point." Tsuke shrugged again "I'm not quite sure, but theres definitely something be hind all this, I can feel it..." OOC: Neuvo can post another if she'd like but other then that I think this chapters basically over.

The following morning Roland awoke to the bright sun shining through the trees. Saturnine stood near him quietly admiring his sleeping body. "Finally awake?" she asked with a smile. Roland sat up and nodded "Yesterday took a lot out of me." He stood and stretched as Saturnine continued to watch on. "I think we should continue to search for the others. It'll be diffcult to defeat Chaos without them." he spoke calmly. Saturnine nodded and they prepared their equipment for the journey. As they walked along the path Roland stopped abruptly. Saturnine walked into him and stumbled back "What did you stop for?" Roland looked around "Someones coming..." And with that Ashem emerged from the trees battered and bloody. "Roland..." he gasped as he fell to the ground. Roland ran to his side catching him "What happened, where is everyone?!" he asked Ashem who attempted to breathe, coughing up blood. "Chaos' soldiers...t-they're here. Phoenix and Azalea...s-still fighting...won't last long." And with that his mouth closed and he fell limp in Roland's arms. Roland laid him on the ground and rose turning to Saturnine "We have to go help!" And with that they both ran in the direction Ashem had come from. After passing through the thicket of trees they reached the scene. Phoenix leapt from tree to tree clashing with soldiers and Azalea ran speedily dodging several enemies. Roland looked to Saturnine "Lets go." OOC: Ahzraei's character has died. Looks like its up to us now.

K walked among the quiet town, inquiring and acknowledging the passersby. Even in times of peace, his long pole-axe leaned upon his shoulder as he walked. He'd guarded the town for ages and although weapons were not usually permitted, he was able to walk around freely equipped with whatever he chose. He smiled as he walked, the Gods had blessed him with a beautiful day and the wind blew slightly against his face and through his hair. He walked the town's main street eventually reaching it's exterior. He strolled along a dirt path leading away from the town to a cliff where he often sat to think. He did so as he reached the very end. His legs bent at the knee as they hung over the side of the large peak. His pole-axe lay next to him, the metal cluttered with dust and dirt. Its due for a cleaning he thought to himself. As he looked out among the scenery below, his gloved hands clenched. This place always reminded him of his parents and as he gazed out among the land he'd sworn to protect, he couldn't help but wish that his parents were here to share it with him. His father was always very hard on him, and K wondered if he'd be proud of him now. Protecting his loved ones and the people of the town, he'd strived to make them proud and hoped they were watching down always as he fought valiantly for good. His solemn thoughts were interrupted by a man he knew well. Mysterious the man was, always wore a black coat and a black vail that covered his face. K sighed and rose to his feet, turning to the man. "The Zodiac has become clear to me. It is time for you to go." the man spoke quietly. K sighed once again "Its been so long since I've left this place. Do you promise to protect it for me? I'm trusting you." The mysterious man nodded and handed him a map "You'll find the location marked on this map. You are to leave here immediately and seek them out. You know what to do." K nodded and accepted the map placing it in his coat pocket and walking from the scene. OOC: Sorry for the delayed introduction. I was having some comp problems.

As Dain slept his vision began to drift from his inner eyelids to that of a dream. There he stood, in a dark, ominous field, filled with the bodies of angels and demons alike. Blood coated the ground and seemed even darker under the dimly lit sky. Lying before him was an angel adorned in extravagant armor, a long sword erupting from it's head. Dain sparked with interest and kicked the body, rolling it over to reveal the once covered face. He gasped at the site of his brother, lying there dead and bloodied before him. Dain soon realized that the sword used to slay his brother, was none other then his own. Dain dropped to his knees, running his hands along his brother's still figure. He took the sword from his pummeled face and threw it to the ground in anger. His palms concealed his face as he tried to come to the realization of his own brother's death. Voices began to ring throughout his head, it's all your fault...all your fault... "N-No, no." he spoke timidly, reassuring himself that the fault was not his own. You killed him...his blood taints your hands... Dain looked down, his hands covered in blood that seemed to creep up his arms and through his veins. "No!" he shouted, clawing wildly at his wrists, attempting to hault the blood from moving up his arm. This is your fate...you were meant to kill...meant to be evil...you are evil... the words echoed in his head as he fell to the ground, convulsing under the dim sky.

Tsuke's eyes examined the sky as to pinpoint the faint noise he'd just heard over the crowd of people cluttering the streets. Soon enough his eyes reached a small plane hovering over the town. He gasped "Shit, we gotta get outta here. C'mon!" he shouted grabbing Liang's hand and beginning to run from the scene. However, Liang stood still causing him to fall back suddenly. "What are you doing?!" he yelled once again. Liang continued to stand quietly, gazing up at the sky. "We could never outrun it. We're gonna die, again..." Tsuke began to breathe franticly. He'd been through so much already, and he wouldn't be doing it again. However, his thoughts were interrupted by the sight of the large explosive device plummeting towards the ground. He could do nothing but watch as it fell steadily through the air and collided with the ground. An instant flash of light filled the air and disappeared as Tsuke watched the explosion flow towards him. Buildings lit afire and people fell to the ground, screaming in agony as the immense explosion engulfed the city. However, when it reached Tsuke, he felt nothing. It seemed to pass through him as he continued to watch the pandemonium surrounding them. He looked to Liang, finding her in the same place as he. When the ground stopped shaking dust began to float lightly to the ground and settle around them. Offering a panoramic veiw of the chaos that had just ensued.

Roland and Saturnine walked close through the darkening forest. They had returned to the original path and intended to catch up with the rest of the group. However, they found no sign of anyone as they walked farther into the seemingly endless green maze. Saturnine looked around cautiously, she feared the occurance of another traumatizing event comparable to the last. That night they set up camp in a forest nook near a small lake. The fire burned bright in the dark night air. Roland sat by it, staring into the flames as they danced around the wood he'd just thrown upon the ground. Saturnine had gone to wash up and as he sat alone he began to grow tired. He stretched himself out along the ground, resting his head on the soft grass below him and falling asleep soon after. However, he woke late in the night, and found that Saturnine was still gone. He wondered where she had went and made his way to the lake to inspect the area where she had been. Here he found her, however, it was not what he had intended. She was waist deep in the water as it glimmered faintly in the moonlight. Her body was exposed, no clothes covered her soft bare skin. She ran her hands through the water, watching as it slowly rippled away from her radiant figure. Roland wanted to take his eyes from her, but he couldn't bring himself to do it. She was so beautiful, and as he watched he found himself walking towards her, his dark figure emerging from the surrounding trees. He entered the water behind her creating ripples to match her own. She turned around slightly, surprised at Roland for joining her there, but not at all angry. He eventually stood beside her and took her hand in his own, the water overwhleming their intertwined fingers. Roland looked out along the placid lake, and then back to Saturnine. Her eyes gleamed in the night and made him feel even more alive in the surreal moment. He lowered his head and their lips met slightly as Roland's arms migrated from her hands to her waist, where they sat intently caressing her delicate skin.

Luke and Aron stood still once again, neither showing any real wounds besides the slight blood dripping from Luke's mouth. He began to laugh loudly as Aron watched on curiously "What are you laughing for?! Finally give up?!" Luke sighed, a smile draped across his face "Quite the contrary. You, Aron, are a fool, and have power so far from my own its unfathomable. Your little tricks won't defeat me, I am superior." Aron gritted his teeth and ran towards his adversary, swingly briskly through the air. The swords met right before his eyes, cold steel scraping together in metallic harmony. Luke returned with an attack of his own, a barrage of sword blows, each striking Aron in the chest, leaving several indentations which began to seep blood on impact. His vest turned from a light blue to a dark crimson red as he fell to the ground, gasping for breath. His hand rose to his chest, becoming encased in his own blood he punched the ground in anger, his knuckles soft to the touch. Slowly rising to his feet he regained his balance, stumbling slightly. Luke began to laugh once again "Why don't you just surrender already, theres no point in continuing this, you can't win." "Shut up!" shouted Aron, frustrated and annoyed by the situation. I have to do this, for me, and for Azalea. What would she think? Watching me get my ass beat like this... he thought to himself. However, his thoughts were interrupted by a screaming Luke sprinting towards him, sword in hand. But just before they engaged Luke's scream was met by that of Aron's, and he dropped to the ground instantly. Dust and rocks rose from the ground, spinning around Aron rapidly as he continued his mind-numbing scream. Luke watched on in amazement, unsure of what was happening. Within the core of the cyclone Aron felt himself changing, he had initiated his Battle Cry technique. He felt his muscles expanding slightly and he clenched his fist, feeling the power course through him. It's my turn...

Tsuke looked around, trying to keep calm so he wouldn't worry Liang any further. People repeatedly bumped into him as they stood, pushing and shoving their way through. Tsuke took Liang's hand "We've gotta get out of the street" he shouted over the noise. Liang nodded as Tsuke led them from the busy road to a nearby alleyway. There they both stood quietly, Tsuke contemplating the situation in his head. However, when he looked up he no longer saw Liang's cheerful, sparkling eyes, he saw them closed, as tears began to flow. Tsuke was never really good with his feelings, it hurt him to watch Liang cry, but he wasn't quite sure what to do. "I-It's gonna be alright you know, we'll come out of this ok. And as for Kojiro, he can take care of himself. You know that better then anyway right?" he spoke reassuringly. Liang nodded a little, wiping the tears from her face. Tsuke smiled at the sight of her regaining herself "Thats my girl" he spoke, laughing hesitantly. Liang smiled a bit bigger, the two embracing in a hug. When they seperated, Tsuke looked around, studying the area "Hiroshima...that name sounds so familiar." He suddenly regretted not paying attention in history class. He looked at Liang, scratching his head. OOC: I wasn't sure if you wanted to do the explosion or not Liang so this was a bit short, just us getting to know each other.

I don't exactly find the music boring, its more of the lyrics. I think they have pretty solid music ability, I really don't like the screamer. Maybe its just a personal preference, but I believe if they changed it up a bit they'd be a lot better. Atreyu is my favorite band at the moment. I've had a real connection to them ever since the first song I heard. I love the music, the lyrics are amazing, and they put on a hell of a live show. I'm also really into Norma Jean, Killswitch Engage, stuff like that. I've heard a lot of stuff from other countries, Dimmu Borgir, Rammstein, etc. I just find it hard to relate to I guess.

I don't think that theres a certain type of person for me. Its hard to classify and generalize things that I like into one person. A lot of times opposites attract and people you thought would never be together, actually get married and have a perfectly happy life together despite their differences. However, there are some things I look for when I meet someone. I like good taste in music usually. Something similar to me. I love music, and it would be weird if I had a gf who couldn't stand the kind of music I listened to and played. I look for people who for the most part aren't depressed. I like to see a girl with a smile, my life is depressing enough already, I don't need her bringing me down to lol. I also look for a good sense of humor. No one wants a stiff gf whos afraid to even laugh around you. These are just 3 things I look for of the 4539085093 original ones.

DDR is the only game I've found that actually makes me sweat. Of course, I don't have the eye-toy, so I can't really speak for it. I was sort of on a DDR streak where I would play it every day for hours, around 5 usually. This got me pretty well in shape. Plus I'm in a band and such, so I'm always jumping around and dancing and stuff. I think its all about finding what works for you rather then what works for everyone else. All these diets and stuff, they might work for some, but for the average person like you and me I find it hard to accomplish and obide all the rules every minute of the day. But if you find something you like to do and it actually helps you lose weight, its a lot easier to exercise and actually get in shape.

I'll just name a couple of my favorite RPG's since theres quite a few games I've beaten... 1. Final Fantasy (all) - I've beaten all the FF's so far. From the ones on Nintendo to FFXI. Its quite the accomplishment, or so I thought it to be. It's definitely a gaming dynasty I'm proud to be a part of. 2. Star Ocean (all) - Star Ocean as well offers a pretty good series of games, not as many as FF, but still a good compilation. One of my favorite battle systems as well. 3. Suikoden I, II, III - Suikoden is a game that I think is very underrated. Personally, I loved all these games and it offers a lot to a good RPG gamer. Each game has probably the most amount of playable characters I've seen so far in an RPG. 4. Xenosaga - I found this game to be pretty good. I thought it would be a lot worse then it actually was. It offers a pretty good amount of game time if you play through the whole thing and its really not a bad story. It just takes some getting use to.

Gaming What is the best Final Fantasy couple?
Kamuro replied to Sea Of Chaos666's topic in Noosphere
Final Fantasy 8 is good because it offers closure, rather then leave you wondering about what happens after the end of the game. And your right, Squall was always the "Lonewolf" and now he can't be, Rinoa is right there with him. Kind of romantic when you think of how much they've been through througout that entire game. My unstereotypical couple is as follows, since the one posted before was a more traditional pair. Kuja and Zidane definitely have this. Kuja is porbably one of my favorite characters of all time, not really sure why, but I love him. Sephiroth and Cloud make a good couple as well. I love FF :catgirl: -
Well, I was never really a big fan of Bodom. They're ok I guess, but I've heard their stuff, as well as seen them live, and I was never really impressed. A lot of their stuff is just boring to me. Anyway, I can see that you love the band, and theres several bands I love, and I wouldn't like anyone bashing on them. So... CHILDREN OF BODOM RULES!!!
-
anything american, hmm, how specific *ponders* oh well, everyone hates america anyway Although a lot of american music is below par, I wouldn't go criticising our music before looking over your own, all of your own lol. I've heard plenty of, music, if thats what you'd like to call it (I prefer noise) from several Scandinavian places. So next time, try a post more then 3 words long, thank you :animesmil

Older siblings, Younger siblings; What's with them?
Kamuro replied to Shadow Blade's topic in General Discussion
aww, brotherly love :catgirl: But I too know the burden of having a younger sibling. I have a little sister, and well, she drives me crazy. I think its easier for siblings to get along when they're ages are closer. Me and my sister are 6 years apart and we fight all the time, just cause, well, shes a ***** :D -
personally, I think prom is a huge waste of money. Mine was a week or so ago, and it was quite the place to be...if you were looking for suicide inspiration. It was incredibly over priced just to get the ticket, not even including all the little extravagancies that go along with it. Personally, if they'd let you in in a t-shirt and jeans, thats what I'd do, but you have to have a "suit" and such. If you've never seen me in a suit, then you don't understand how truly uncomfortable I look lol. I think girls, sorry for the generalization, go way overboard when it comes to prom. All the girls I know made such a big deal out of it, after everything was over, they were pretty disappointed. Either something went wrong, they went with the wrong guy, they "didn't look good." I've seen incredibly beautiful girls almost have a breakdown because a tenth of their make-up was a little smudged. Its incredibly theatrical if you ask me. I thought the "goth" comment by Kitty was a little out of line, but maybe she was just overreacting. I mean, when you think about it, it is a lot of work for really, not that much fun lol. And people are stupid enough to by into these things and waist money on people they'll probably never see again after high school.
-
I'm not in horrible shape, but truth is, I'm not incredibly strong lol. I doubt I could run a mile in a good amount of time, or do a certain amount of push-ups on direction. But I'm not fat, so I guess as far as that goes I'm not extremely healthy, but healthy enough to eat my donuts without the weezing
-
Pandas gonna take offense to that :animeangr . Anyway, yeah, I drink now and then. It doesn't really please me like it does other people. I find it pretty tasteless. And its addicting, so, I don't really need another thing to waste money on.

When Dain finished the explanation he looked over at his mother, who sat quietly before them. "So, you havn't said why you've come here? You were exiled from Heaven, I don't care. What do you want with me?" their mother asked, full of scourn towards her very own sons. Dain grunted "We merely need a place to stay and plot our next move. However, if you wish us to leave I would gladly oblige and abandon this rotting pit you call a home." Lucia laughed and rose from the table "You may stay as long as you like, but watch yourself. Another comment like that and you'll find yourself dead upon the bed you've asked to sleep in." And with that she walked from the room, the door closing behind her. Dain sighed and looked to his brother, who sat quietly in a chair adjacent to his own. "Mother was never much of a people person" Dain voiced, laughing hesitantly. Wyatt, however, did not laugh, nor did he express any emotion whatsoever. They sat quiet for a moment, Wyatt finally breaking the silence "Is that really our mother? How could father be seduced by a creature such as that? She's so, evil, and corrupt. It pains me to know her blood flows through my veins." Dain sighed "I know brother, but look at yourself. You've become great, and it's not just father that made you that way. We are part angel, and part demon. Those soot black wings adorning your back, those are your mother's." Wyatt nodded, finally coming to terms with his mother was hard. He'd never really met her, and it was almost impossible for them to relate. Dain rose from the table "C'mon brother, lets get some rest. It's been a long day." Wyatt did the same, smiling at his brother "Thanks" he spoke quietly. Although the brothers seldomly talked about it, they had an unspoken bond, and a deep love and understanding for each other. Dain walked to his room and swung open the door. It was dark and he walked around the room lighting candles helping to illuminate the surroundings. He checked for traps or things seeming out of order, he never really trusted his mother and wouldn't be taken by surprise by any of her tricks. He took off his shirt and layed down his arms behind his head. His eyes closed slightly as he began to drift off to sleep. OOC: Kairi is busy with personal things at the moment so he'll be posting less and I'll be working with his character a bit more. Fallan sighed and shrugged his shoulders as he burst into a run towards the soldiers. A long sword seemed to emerge from nowhere into his hands as he lowered it and ripped through a soldier's torso. The massive army seemed immeasurable surrounding him almost instantly as he entered the crowd. His left arm thrust quickly through the air numerous times knocking enemies back with the power of wind. He swirled around attempting to thwart enemies from all sides. As they came upon him he feared he would be overcome, and erupted from the crowd into the air causing soldiers to soar in every direction. He darted back towards the ground slashing rapidly leaving a line of downed soldiers in his wake. Blood splattered the ground and soiled his clothing as he flew through the seemingly endless army. He rose once again from the crowd and noticed how soaked he was by the army's innards. He shook himself off and flung his sword towards the ground, using the power of wind to guide it through enemy forces as it spun swiftly. His hands moved identical to the blade as it sliced through the plethora of soldiers before him. OOC: A short addition to the fight by Fallan.
