Name: Ashem Hilt Nickname: Ash Gender: Male Age: 23 Status: Thief (Peasant Class) Hometown: Zalindreh - A port city, the center of trade with the islands. Appearance: Ashem Hilt Ashem is a mildly tall, thin man blessed with a rather muscular body and handsome face. His hair is dark and nearly reaches his shoulders when not tied back. A white bandana covers the top of his head, protecting his scalp from the harsh heat of the Calormen deserts, and a long cape pours from his neck and drapes across his back. He wears pants of a darker tan variety with two sheaths hooked to his belt forming an "X" across his lower back. Abilities: Ashem is quick and agile, his career as a theif has sharpened his fighting skills as well as his interpersonal ones. He is cunning and witty from years of conning and the creation of several elaborate hoaxs'. This also makes him a deadly merchant and trader, they say he could sell a Calormen sand if he tried. Weapons: Ashem has two short swords placed in the sheaths hooked to his belt. He prefers to stray away from the use of weapons, however, and seldomly uses them. Biography: Ashem grew up in the trading town of Zalindreh. Even as a child he was mischievous and ill-behaved. Always finding himself in trouble and doing his best to be the center of attention. His parents grew tired and weary of his actions, however, they believed if he was ignored then the problems would cease. They felt he was acting this way for the attention, and therefore refused to give him any. Although this was not Ashem's primary goal, it soon became so. He was starved for his parent's affection and often went out of his way just to impress them, or even gain a glance in his direction. As he grew older he grew more and more deprived and with every scheme he lost respect from his parents as well as others around him. He had no friends, and he focused solely on his next endeavor. In his early teens he decided it was best for him to leave, and late in the night he snuck from his home and left Zalindreh. He wandered the desert for ages it seemed like, growing weary and tired, a futile attempt to live in such a barren place. Eventually he collapsed under the hot dry sun and assumed it would be his end. However, a strong, rough looking man stumbled upon his body and brought him to a nearby cave. When Ashem awoke he was surrounded by harsh looking figures and piles of gold and other assorted treasure. It seemed as though a famous theif had stumbled upon him while traveling to his hideout in the desert. Ashem was taken in and taught the ways of the thief. The group was made up of several talented crooks and pirates and he soon learned that this was the life for him. He swindled with the best of them and soon rose through the ranks of the small group of "merchants" as they called themselves. Soon enough it was time for Ashem to leave the group and pursue a life on his own. He returned to Zalindreh only to find the once successful trade village a boring, almost empty place. It seemed as though things were changing in Calormen and King Tisroc had become more of a tyrant then an adeqaute ruler. Ashem found it difficult to steal anything of any real value and as the people of Zalindreh dwindled down, so did his profits. One day, as he sat among the stoop of his former home, he pondered ways to make money and increase his status in the world of Calormen. However, he found it almost impossible for a theif like himself to find a place in the very society that had rejected him years ago. As he sat there contemplating, he was interrupted. It seemed as though a rebellion was being formed and they were looking for skilled people to join up and bring about the change of Calormen. He thanked his lucky stars for the opportunity and decided to accompany the members of the rebellion and take down the tyrant Tisroc. Personality: Ashem is an outgoing man with an insatiable vigor for life. He sometimes seems almost overzealous when it comes to battle and the fall of Tisroc's dynasty. He can be rude and annoying at times, however he is very smart. He is a witty man who usually knows just what to say. He lacks manners but feels as though he doesn't need them. Down deep he has a good heart, and even today he starves for the attention of others. A bad habit stemming from his stubborn parents. He often feels as though he's missing something, and he longs to find his other half in hopes to fulfill his life and accomplish his dreams. Although blunt with men, he is suave and tries his best to impress women, often successfully. Password:
No one knows any story but their own

Name: Wik'n Trektor Age: 66 (Earth Years) Race: Yautja Gender: Male Rank: Honoured Appearance: Wik'n stands tall with long barbed dreads flowing down his back. He has a rough, muscular form from the years of hunting he's done. A bio mask adorns his head and his face has yet to be seen by any living soul. Shaded dark armor covers his figure, mesh padding and wire layered under it for protection. His Naginata drapes across his back, rarely used it exemplifies his strength on the battlefield and his years of hunting experience. Weapons: Wik'n uses a classic spear gun hes had for years. Although it pales in comparison to the newer models, Wik'n prefers to use his own weapons rather then those made by others. He has become increasingly talented with it over the years and it won him the Naginata. He uses intense precision while fighting, and although hes always prepared for a melee fight, its been years since anyone has made it close to him on the battlefield. He uses the Naginata for melee fighting when the occasion calls for it. Equipment: Wik'n has the latest bio mask equipped with the best targeting technology available. This comes in handy when striking enemies from great distances with his spear gun. He has tough armor hes been conditioned to use so he moves with great agility on the battlefield. His mesh is made from original camo and aids him greatly in battle from afar. Biography: Wik'n lay quiet, his arms wet from the damp grass below him. His spear gun in hand he watches on quietly, listening closely for any sound produced by the forest. He scanned the area through his mask, the tip of his gun following his eyes. The area was clear, but how could this be? This was prime hunting area as of late and xenomorphs had recently been spotted in this very forest. He breathed calmly, his hands gripping the barrel of the gun, aiming at nothing. Just then he saw the head of a xenomorph emerge from behind a large tree. It looked around, observing the area for hunters. Wik'n lay incredibly still, his breathing haulted as he watched the creature move slowly from its wooden shelter. The head glistened in the light showing through the thick tree branches. The creature continued to move slowly, cautiously dodging leaves and twigs to avoid noise. However, as soon as he stopped a spear erupted from Wik'n's gun, impaling the beast's chest and causing him to collide with a small rock formation nearby. The spear stood erect from the boulder, a lifeless xenomorph hanging from the blade. Wik'n grunted in triumph as he lay his gun to the ground. However, as soon as he did a branch snapped behind him. He turned slowly, finding a xenomorph standing directly above him, acid dripping from it's jaws and smoking as it burned the grass below. They stared each other down for a brief second, and in an instant the beast attacked. Wik'n rolled from the ground, grabbing the Naginata from his back. The blade gleamed as he swung it almost instantly through the beast's neck. It fell to the ground, the body convulsing slightly from the loss of it's head. Wik'n bent down, taking the head from the ground and tossing it up into the air. With godlike speed he used the Naginata to carve up the skull to a reasonable size as he began to walk to the other xenomorph casualty. OOC: Hope this is alright, if anything needs to be changed PM me Sieg.

Chapter 4 Flora Time Aron walked along the dirt path towards the other side of the mountain. He winced with each step, the blood seeping from his wounds and falling to the ground through his tattered clothes. As he approached the end of his journey he stood up straight, putting on a confident face as the others watched him walk. He surveyed the team, everyone was there, it seemed as though he'd lost the race. He sighed, after all he went through he didn't even win. After further observation, he realized Yuri was missing. "Has anyone seen Yuri?" he asked inquisitively. Silence struck the group and everyone stood still except Kira, who stepped forward. "Hes dead, I came across someone along the road, he killed him." she spoke calmly. Aron was suspicious, but there was nothing he could do. He sighed "Another lost soul, our journey will have many casualties, but we must press forward. I'm counting on all of you. Protect each other." Everyone nodded and looked at each other in agreement. Aron noticed how tired everyone looked after the long trek over the mountain. Dunn had taken quite a bit out of them and he suggested they take a short walk to Kiko to stay the night before continuing to Tresora. Everyone agreed and as they walked the path each person shared the events of their journey over the mountain. It seemed as though everyone had met a "rival," as they called them, on their travels. Aron wasn't quite sure why anyone would be opposed to their quest to find a way home, but he hoped to learn more when they reached Tresora. As they approached Kiko through the trees Aron stopped, haulting the group "I smell smoke..." he spoke quietly. The rest of the team began to sniff and agreed with him, the forest air was muffled by a fire of some sort. We'll continue this later, my job is done he recalled the words of Luke. Kiko! exploded in his man as he ran in the direction of the town. He shoved branches and vines out of his way as he burst from the forest to the surrounding plains of Kiko. The first thing he saw was the raging fire engulfing the town. He stood and stared in amazement, the others behind him, as cinders flew through the air and people ran wildly from the flames. - - - Ok everyone, Reiku is the winner of the trip over the mountain and she'll get her prize when reach Tresora. The rest of you did quite well and I might have something in store for you too *winks*. We won't be able to rest at Kiko since its been destroyed. The next series of posts will surround our walk from Kiko to Tresora. Don't be afraid to interact with each other as well as the people from Kiko if you like. The walk between towns is mildly long, however its quite dangerous. Tresora is an immensely large kingdom surrounded by canyons and gorges making it difficult to get to. Keep this in mind as you travel. Also, everyone will be quite tired and worn out from the previous journey, so don't go to hard, or you might just run out of energy. If you hadn't finished the Mountains of Dunn quest then you may do so in your first post of this chapter, seperating it from current events. Have fun with this part, this plenty of time for character interaction and development, so go wild. I expect about 2-3 posts per person. Thanks.

Real Name: Trace Gilfer Codename: Stalk Place of Birth: US, California Age: 20 Gender: Male Appearance: Trace is of medium stature. His height is around 5'6 and his body is slim and naturally proportionate. His hair is a lighter shade of green, teal if you will, reaching to his mid neck area from the back and over his eyes from the front. He prefers to wear his own, customary clothing. Blue jeans, black gloves cut off at the joints in his fingers, a white shirt, and black vest to cover his chest. He's always scruffy and dirty looking, however women seem to enjoy his serene scent. Personality: Trace is often bothered by a plethora of emotion. He seems a pandora's box to most. In his early years he was thought to be bipolar, however he has learned to control the emotions that once burdened him as a child. He's often quiet and he likes to listen rather then speak. Many think of him as strange, with all the emotions floating around in his head, you wouldn't think he'd have such a lackluster exterior. Bio: "Ha! What a loser!" one boy shouted, running around Trace and laughing happily. Another followed screaming "weirdo" as he ran and pointing in his direction. Trace just walked, his face pointing towards the ground, his hands in his pockets. He clenched his teeth, finding the familiar feeling of tears about to role down his cheek. A girl watched on as the boys teased and tormented him, however, she was quiet, and said nothing. One boy picked up a large stone and through it at Trace, knocking him to the ground. While the other ran over and began to kick him. However, the attack was haulted by the scream of the nearby girl "Stop! Your hurting him!" she shouted, interrupting Trace's beating. The boys turned to her, then to each other and smiled. They ran over to her and pushed her to the ground, one boy smacking her face. She yelped in pain as their skin met and her face burned from the pressure. Trace jumped to his feet, the yelp igniting something inside of him. The boys noticed they had struck a chord and continued to beat the girl, laughing as Trace grew angrier with every breath he took. Soon enough he let out a fierce cry, vines shooting from the ground and making their way up the boys' bodies. They slithered wildly up each limb and to the boys' throats where they wrapped tightly, voice boxes constricted from the pressure. Both boys gasped for air falling to the ground, convulsing from the strain to inhale. Soon enough their bodies feel limp, the vines growing and encasing their bodies in a rough green exterior. Trace moved to the girl, reaching out his hand to help her from the ground. However, all she did was cry, "Stay away from me!" she shouted, running away, tears streaming from her face. Years later... Trace ran wildly, his feet stamping upon the cold wet ground. Lights streamed over the area around him, wind blowing wildly from the twirling blade of the helicopter hovering above. He breathed heavily, the air escaping his lungs as he leapt over a large tree trunk. He heard men yelling as he ran, muffled cries encouraging him to give up, to stop running. He even heard dogs in the distance, their claws scraping against tree branches and ripping through wet grass. However, he couldn't give up. He'd finally escaped from that hell hole, and he wasn't going back. Soon after... "Show it to me" Sparx instrcuted, his hands on his hips awaiting Trace's demonstrationg. He sighed slightly, raising his hands as vines began to erupt from the ground. Trees as well, grew from nothing as his hands rose, fingers tingling slightly. "Interesting..." Sparx inquired, watching as Trace manipulated the vegetation. "You're in" he spoke quietly. Superhuman powers: Trace is able to manipulate the earth in the form of vegetation and foilage. He can create trees, vines, flowers, from nothing. Weapons/Gadgets: Nothing Mode of Transport: A sleek, black motorcycle with vines and roses tatooed up each side. OOC: Hope this is alright Fallen.

I think the idea of robots is pretty farfetch'd. Its nice to think of them doing chores and tedious activities for us, but really, I don't see even this happening any time soon. Robots are indeed given to much credit. Everyone speaks of the "potential" of robots and the "potential" of electrical science, but all that is is mere speculation. Until the potential is actually realized those comments can be said over and over again without meaning anything at all. Robots havn't reached the points mentioned before, so I doubt they're going to reach the point of taking over the world. Movies like iROBOT are science fiction, fiction being the keyword in that sentence. Its cool and sometimes scary to think of things ending up this way, but do you really think scientists smart enough to create these "beings" would be stupid enough to let them get out of control? Of course not. Robots really mean nothing as of now. To many robots, or robots that have become to advanced, would completely disrupt our society. Man power would no longer be needed and as far as I can see its going to be quite awhile before that time comes. Another point to look at is the cost of robots and/or machines to be used for work. It has become very expensive just to create a simple prototype for an intelligent robot, do you really think they'll be made available to the public any time soon? A lot of the information written about robots is increasingly fabricated and there to catch your eye and reveal the extravagancies of robots rather then factual information. As I said before, potential is great, but until I've been shown something of actual substance, then my point remains the same.

Personally, I don't see how the problem can be ignored any longer. When breathing has become the equivalent of smoking, shouldn't someone take notice? Well truth is they have. As DeathBug stated earlier, we've made several strides over the years to make things cleaner and we've accomplished a lot. However, the blame cannot be placed solely on a few large countries. Yes, they do cause a lot of pollution, but what do you suppose the pollution is for? The US as well as other countries depend on the products of the large industrialized countries. It seems quite hypocritical to accuse us of polluting the environment and then buy the goods we make by that very pollution. Instead of everyone pointing fingers at one another, I propose that we work together to find an alternative to the extremely harmful pollution we use as of now. Countries shifting the blame back and forth gets us nowhere fast, and soon enough there will be nothing to argue about and the problem will have escalated so much that theres nothing left for us to do. One-sided treaties will get us nowhere (Kyoto), they will only surpress the problem momentarily, which will do us no good. We're not looking for quick fixes, we're looking for a cure.

First off, in defense of Retri, he said people were divided into groups, he never said it was a good thing. He even put easier in quotes, causing me to stray away from any compliment whatsoever. And what he is saying is true, if people are divided into groups, it takes a lot of the work out of actually getting to know someone. All of their traits and personality pros and cons are predetermind due to the group they've been placed in. As Delacroix stated, this is not a good thing. Grouping people really does lead to massive assumptions. This causes people to stray away from one another without even knowing the person they supposedly "don't like." A "jock" and "goth" could be great friends, however, they'll never know, because pre-existing stereotypes kept them apart from one another. This is why I don't support them and their advocates. Stereotypes are not based on facts, they are based on opinions. They weren't created out of thin air, but they are merely how one person percieves another to be. I find it quite ignorant actually, that someone you've never met before feels it necessary to judge you and assume things without even talking to you first. Its impossible to know someone from the way they look, or the clothes they wear. I'm not sure about the rest of you, but I think my friends would suck if I chose them based on their wardrobe. Of course there are people who fit these stereotypes, how could there not be? Out of the hundreds of blondes in america, of course a few them are going to be stupid, as with every other hair color. However, some people and/or stereotypes are publicized more then others leading us to believe more then we actually know. Paris Hilton, for example, is one of the stupidest people you'll ever meet, however, she is plastered all over TV and movies because she looks good. This just points out the previously existing stereotype and emphasizes it. Finally, I believe that those who subject themselves to stereotypes and the assumptions of other people are weak and lack the brain power to make their own decisions. They're afraid of whether or not people will like them, or if they'll be "cool," so they join a group and let others make the decisions for them. Well, once schools over, the stereotypes will still be there, and decisions will still need to be made. However, you will no longer have people to make them for you. And you will wish that you had the individuality and smarts it takes to make decisions for yourself. However, all the years of following rather then leading and listening to rules made by others with no real authority in your life will leave you alone, and starving for the chance to be your own person, rather then a "popular" slave. EDIT: Retri posted while I was writing my own post, so don't mind the clash.

I to have had feelings for someone I hadn't actually met and/or spent time with off the computer or phone. These relationships can be quite complicated actually. I find that most people who are incredibly into these online relationships, especially with people older then themselves, are those starved for attention and will do whatever it takes to get it, even if its from someone they've never even met before. I suppose there's little you could do to stop her anyway, despite your best efforts. Telling her guardian is a current way to keep her safe, however, people telling her not to go and ordering her not to talk to him, will just make her want to do it more. She will either rebel now and run away from her problems, or turn 18 and leave, since no one will have control over her. If she plans to meet this man, then its best for her to compromise with you. If she refuses to cut things off indefinitely, then make sure its on your terms, not her own. If they plan to meet, it should be a public place, with many people, and you and/or an adult could go with her. However, this will be incredibly difficult if she intends on going to India. In that case, how does she expect to go anyhow? Does she have savings to fly or a place to stay when she gets there? If hes coming here, shouldn't she be questioning his motives? How come someone so much older then her is so interested in a young girl from a completely different place? Maybe hes the one starved for attention, and if that is so, then she needs to understand the risks involved with actually meeting this person. Even though its an only online relationship, you must understand that real feelings are involved. People can fall in love, I use the term love loosely, under any circumstances. This isn't something you can just simply tell her to stop, and you'll see eventually that orders and demands will get you nowhere. If she is a level-headed person, then she'll come to realize the position that shes in, and the one shes put you in. However, this seldomly happens, and there will probably be heartache involved either way. Best of luck to you anyway.

I to would be very lost without my music. You've lost the material music, the cd's and such, which is truly horrible, but you could always make your own music? It takes some practice, but who knows, you might just have a hidden talent you have yet to embrace? Just a positive thought to brighten this thread up a bit lol. It also allows us to see just how important music is to us all, how much we truly take it for granted. How many of us trauly realizes the importance of the sound we're so use to hearing? Music can truly bring on emotion, and change a person, for better or for worse. It influences us and allows us to evolve as people, yet seldomly gets credit for doing any of the things I've just mentioned. Give it some thought next time you pop in a cd.

Suikoden 3's final boss was probably my favorite. Beating Luc could not only be difficult, but rather frustrating. However, after beating him you get all the closure you're looking for. And after playing such a long and difficult game, its important that you're satisfyed with the ending.

Personally I love the new Inuyasha. It offers some new twists and turns but retains all the good things we're use to seeing from the show. The Group of Seven will offer more villains we love to hate, as chibi mentioned, Bankotsu = awesome lol. As much as people love Sesshoumaru, I think their might be some change of hearts after seeing the show ;) . The fights are just as good, if not better then before and the action is to die for.
-
I love the show, I couldn't imagine it getting low reviews. Sure, it does have some stereotypical points, but the show itself, plot, animation, etc, is truly amazing. It keeps a lot of its original elements, and the dub is done quite well. Fans of the original should have no fear, at least from my POV. They have good characters as well as character devlopment over the series. And for those who love fights, you'll definitely love s.CRY.eD, I did anyway.
-
Keeping in touch is always an option of course, and I'd hate to be the antagonist here, but things like that seldomly work. At first, people write and call everyday, and you talk just as much, if not more then usual. However, things begin to sizzle down, and a call a day becomes a call a month. Change is hard, and yeah, it sucks. And I can completely understand having to leave someone you love behind, but sometimes its just better off that way. If this is something you want to feel optimistic about, then think of it as a test. If your relationship with this guy is so incredibly strong, then it should be able to handle anything, even your new found distance. If it can't withstand it, then maybe its not as strong as you thought it was. However, I believe that things happen for a reason, and if you weren't meant to be together, then so be it. Either way, you'll have to move on eventually, whether its with or without him, you have to come to terms with yourself first, and then your relationship.

Anime favorite and least favorite anime songs
Kamuro replied to ChibiHorsewoman's topic in Otaku Central
I can't really name song name's since I don't pay much attnetion to the titles and such. However, I found myself enjoying the FMA theme and/or beginning song. I think it goes well with the show and shows off the characters quarks and begins the show well. I dislike the opening song from Samurai Champloo. I think the opening is really great, its just the music is tedious and it could've been chosen a lot better. Probably the funniest opening song I've heard is for Dragonball GT, it seems as though Goku would prefer a "Glock 9" to the original Ki blasts lol. -
Would you risk your life for something you don't believe in?
Kamuro replied to sakurasuka's topic in General Discussion
Personally, I would fight for something I didn't believe in. Things such as war, although deadly, are waged for an overall greater good. People, fight for peace, as hypocritical as that sounds. And I fight to protect the people and country I love. Although I hate politics, and basically anything surrounding them, I've come to love the place I live. My country is beautiful, and I would fight to keep it that way. As far as off war topics, I would probably do the same. I've always been one to wear my heart and my sleeve, excluding the risks of doing so. If someone I loved was doing something I didn't agree with, smoking for example, I would still be there for them, and support them the best I could. Its easy to support things you believe in, but sometimes its best to swallow your pride and do whats right, rather then what you want. -
I think dreams are incredibly important. No matter what you lose, whats taken from you, you'll always have your dreams. Its important to have something to work for. And no matter how many times you fail, you have to keep going, and reach the goal you've been working to achieve for so long. Music is my dream. I enjoy reading it, writing it, listening to it. Its become my passion, and the dream has nearly become a reality for me. I've come out with some cd's, my purevolume is getting tons of hits, and people everywhere are enjoying what I've worked so hard to create. I love it, and its proof that dreams do come true, so don't give up.

I've found myself, over the years, doing lots of stupid things. But eventually, I came to terms with them and realized one thing or another leading to me learn, and branch off from the situation. For example, for the longest time, I was trying my best to please everyone. Friends, family, everyone around me. However, no matter how hard I tried it wouldn't work. And one day it just hit me, I was working to please everyone else, and forgetting about myself. I always down, but always busy, trying to help everyone else with their own problems. I was almost ignoring my own life and sacrificing it for that of others. However, after my epiphany, I decided not to be the martyr everyone seemed to expect me to be, and things got a lot better. Point is, I want to hear your epiphanies. What determinations have you come to over the years? You might just help someone overcome a problem they were having. Kakashi
-
James is quite right. I find many people, even most people, I know to be incredibly hypocritical when it comes to these kinds of things. Its easy to say that you don't fit into one of these groups, but can you really look at yourself in the mirror and say you've never endorsed and/or took part in one of these labeling parties. I think its important to look at yourself as a person, rather then just another member of some pre-existing group. In the end, all these people will be gone, and you'll be left to analyze yourself and the things you've done. Eventually you'll run out of excuses and you'll have to accept the things you've done, and the mistakes you've made. Hopefully you won't regret them all.
-
I live on the east coast, and can pretty much assure you that what you're reading is true. Things have gone way to far over the years and its becoming worse and worse. Now, I was never really adamant about these things, but its horrible to think that when I have kids they'll have to live in a barren world deprived of the things I once loved. Its be horrible to think that in the "not so distant" future a flower could be nothing more then a memory, and the beautiful world we've come to know will be wasted. I'm not quite sure of the right way to go about fixing this problem, but I think it should be a top priority.

*claps for Baron* bravo my friend This is the distinction of n00bs that Baron mentioned earlier. At one time or another, everyone is new to something. And everyone posting in this thread was once new to this forum. Just because your new, does not mean your stupid, or unknowledgable at the topics of the forum, it just simply means your new. And personally, I think we should be much more accepting to the new people of the forum. They'll make mistakes and such, but not one person here can say they havn't made mistakes concerning this forum. So, ChemAngel, for example, should be applauded for posting her POV on the situation when she, not inparticular, was the subject of this topic. When I say n00bs, I mean it just as Baron does. People who are new, but don't really care to assimilate to the ways of the forum. They spam, post unknowledgable posts, argue and discount others opinions and advice on to become a better forum occupant. I think most of the people in this forum open newcomers with open arms, and its kind of a smack in the face when someone just ignores the rules and posts however they choose. The things I've mentioned, are just my opinion however. I can't speak for everyone when I say these things, but I do appreciate all the comments and thoughts on the new people to the forum. Hopefully they'll be useful.

Oh how I love metal  yet I've been so quiet in this post. So hear we go... First of all, I've seen a lot of really good bands listed. Jake, you never cease to amaze me with your metal knowledge lol. Although we do differ in taste, I believe its because of the places we've come from and the music we've been rasied to listen to. I'm pretty knowledgable about american metal, but I can't really say the same for metal from scandinavia, finland, basically any place in europe lol. Although I've heard a lot of it, I don't know much about it, so I'm admitting it for later reference. Some of my favorite bands are as follows... Atreyu - I've mentioned this band 349823948 times over. Just because, well, they're amazing. www.purevolume.com/atreyu/ if you'd like to give them a quick listen. "Suicide Notes and Butterfly Kisses" remains to be one of the best cd's I've ever heard, the lyrics, the music, everything, its all amazing. I'd compare them to another band, but personally I find them uncomparable. "The Curse" is a good cd, although not as good as the first few I believe. If you havn't listened to them you should definitely give them a shot. Norma Jean - They've been mentioned above, but not much has been said about them. Yes they are christian, and yes they are an amazing band. "Bless the Martyr, Kiss the Child" is a truly amazing cd with some of the best breakdowns I've ever heard. The music is truly great, and the singing is quite good as well. They're definitely worth checking out. Their new cd "O' God the Aftermath," once again is good, but not near as good as the first. Poison the Well - Also, a really good band. "The Opposite of December" is pretty short (9 songs, 28 mins) but I could listen to it over and over again and never get tired of it. They bring a new sound to every album they produce, from "The Opposite of December" to the new "You Come Before You" they always offer something new to listen to and its all increasingly good if you ask me. Killswitch Engage - Ahh, I love Killswitch. They have a different sound and the music they offer is truly great. "Alive or Just Breathing" is an amazing cd with good breakdowns and amazing vocals. "The End of Heartache" is also eqaully good. They stay true to their sound through it all and I enjoy just listening to them. It gives me chills sometimes. Bleeding Through - This band has a more morbid outlook on the metal scene and its definitely worth looking over. The screamer is one of my favorites out there and Marta (plays keys) gives the band an eerie sound worht dying for. "This is Love, This is Murderous" is probably my favorite cd by them, and its incredibly good. It Dies Today - I believe this band is vastly underestimated. They're an amazing band who doesn't really get much credit for the work they do. "Forever Scourned" is much more hardcore then their new stuff, but the music is great and the vocals are incredible. "The Caitiff Choir," their new cd, is also one of my favorites, I can't help but listen to it over and over again. Some other bands who are good, but might not be as much so as the ones above are as follows... The Bled Underoath acrossfiveaprils alexisonfire As I Lay Dying The Dillinger Escape Plan Symphony In Peril Avenged Sevenfold Unearth Scars of Tomorrow Eighteen Visions Silverstein Slipknot Some bands that are a lot less known, but that I think are amazing go as follows... Dear Whoever All My Heroes My Broken Promise Princes of Las Vegas Greeley Estates Lenore Blessed Is He Gray Lines of Perfection Drive By Romance Blessed Be You A Bitter Farewell Afterimage Almost of all the bands I've listed, if not all of them, can be heard at www.purevolume.com so go there and give them a listen if you'd like.

K sat silently upon a perched tree branch looking down upon two young girls. However, they were no ordinary girls, and he fluttered his wings as he watched them fight. Not bad he thought, his sharp hawk eyes zooming in, observing every move they made. When the battle was over he continued to watch, the two talked a bit and eventually split, one staying outside and the other leaving to pursue a more "liveable" establishment. This is my chance he thought as his talons loosened their grip on the branch and he flew downwards towards the girl left sitting. He landed softly, the wet grass springing underneath him. The girl opened her eyes "Look at you," she said calmly her finger grazing his chin and petting his soft feathers. He took a leap back and with that he morphed back into his human form. The girl stood abruptly, drawing her sword. "Wait, I'm not here to hurt you," K spoke, assuring her of his innocence. "Then who are you?" she asked inquisitively. "You can call me K," he said. The girl continued to watch on cautiously and she gasped as an epiphany came over her "The Libra...?" she asked softly. K just gave a slanted smile and laughed hesitantly "H-Heh yeah." "How can I be sure of that?" she asked interrogatively. "Well, you said it not me, right?" K asked, continuing his monumental display of nerves. The girl sighed, her hands on her hips "Ok ok, you don't have any reason not to believe me do you?" K asked, trying to sound confident. "Guess your right, the names Raed by the way," she spoke, calmer then before. K managed a smile "Well, nice to meet you..."

WARNING: Rated M for excessive violence, language, and sexual content. Please take note of this before reading the RP. Royal Bloodshed Two silhouettes lay quiet among the soft sheets of an antique bed. A man and women share in a passionate embrace. Bodies bare and smooth to the touch as lips meet in blatant infatuation. However, the kiss is soon broken as the man rises from the bed, his feet stunned by the bitter cold of the hard wooden floor. He walks to a large window, standing firm and gazing out among his kingdom. He sighs, knowing that the days to come will be filled with war and his once hollowed streets will be coaxed with the blood of his people. The woman accompanies him, her arms around his waste. ?It?ll be ok?? she whispers in an attempt to restore her husband?s faith. His gaze reverts from the window to his wife, then back as he walks from the room. The next day... King Era stood upon his balcony, a plethora of people gazing from below to behold his colossal figure in the sunlight. As he looked down he began to speak, his voice booming throughout the city, echoing off the walls of his castle. ?Good morning to all. As most of you know, the three great kingdoms of Terra have been enduring problems as of late. There was hopes of a peace treaty between the three but it seems as though both kingdoms of Ruuc and Jist have declined my offer and refuse to sign anything. So, I have been forced to take action. The three kingdoms have agreed to meet on the Fields of Kimmu for one final battle. Each will bring their strongest men, and the last standing wins, not only freedom, but the lands of all three kingdoms as well. With the opportunity to do with it what they will. I know this is a great risk for us to take, but the greater the risk, the greater the reward. And the kingdom of Era shall be victorious!" And with that the streets below erupted in shouts and claps for their king. Even something so dangerous could not strike fear into the loyal hearts of his people. ? ? ? Jace stood tall before the general of Era's Great Army. He attempted to act calm and cool before such an amazing man, but sweat dripped from his forehead as he felt himself become overwhelmed with nervous thoughts. "Jace Shogun, you have been chosen to join the ranks of Era's Great Army" the general spoke, his voice loud and rough. Jace sighed in relief, this was the first time he'd ever been called to the royal chambers for a good thing. "You are to serve directly under me, an apprentice, if you will. You will accompany me and several other soldiers to the Fields of Kimmu for the great war between Era, Ruuc, and Jist," the general spoke once again. Jace raised his hand slightly "U-Umm, why'd you pick me to be your apprentice? If you don't mind me asking, t-that is." The general glared down at him "You will not question the king's orders!" he shouted, causing Jace to jump back and stumble a bit. And with that the general stormed from the room, the door slamming loudly behind him. Jace groaned as he sat, putting his feet up on the general's desk. I can't believe this, they're actually making me go to war, don't you have to sign up for that or something? he thought to himself corrosively. Since when am I a warrior? he questioned. He sighed as he stood from the chair and left the room, his scarf flapping behind him. He soon returned home and upon entering he jumped back in shock. His house was clean. It was usually cluttered with small trinkets and supplies all over. He looked around franticly, finally discovering the source of the spotless room. And there his girlfriend stood, flapping a rug to rid it of dust. She noticed Jace and ran over to him, an angry look across her face "I came by to see you but all I found was this dump you call a home! When's the last time you cleaned this place, there was garbage everywhere!" Jace found himself speechless, he stood gawking at the room before him "Where is everything?!" he shouted. Although it seemed incredibly messy to most, his house was perfect for him and completely reflected his own personality. He knew where everything was, despite all the clutter. "Thats all you have to say to me after I spent all day cleaning your house?! Thats the last time I help you!" she shouted as she walked from the room, slamming the door behind her. This just isn't my day... ? ? ? As you can see this RP is quite medievil. It takes place on the planet Terra where there are 3 great powers in place, the kingdoms of Era, Ruuc, and Jist. All three kingdoms are cluttered towards the south and the land is divided among them. The northern kingdom is very mysterious, and little is known about it's occupants, so few people pay any attention to it. They have gotten along mildly well until recently when arguments broke out over peices of land unowned by any kingdom. Ruuc and Jist had been advancing rapidly in hopes to take the land first, but they found themselves at a stand-off with Era upon reaching the land. A battle ensued with no clear winner, hence the Great Battle nearing the surface between all three kingdoms. You are to choose one of the three kingdoms to serve under, Era, Ruuc, or Jist. Each has its advantages and disadvantages and each will be participating in the Great War. Form your characters however you choose but be sure to read the Underground post first. It will provide information on each of the kingdoms as well as the kings and generals from each. It is a medievil RP so choose your weapons accordingly. The following are the requirments for your character... Name: (Anything) Age: (At least 18) Kingdom: (Era, Ruuc, or Jist, please divide evenly) Previous Job: (What you did before joining/being recruited into your kingdom's army) Appearence: (Picture and/or detailed description) Weapon: (As mentioned above please choose according to medievil standards, up to three if you'd like) Fighting Style: (This will vary depending on the kingdom you choose. Those from Jist are to list one magical area and then three specific skills from it if they choose to be a magician/wizard) Personality: (Your characters personality alone as well as around other people. How they interact, what they like to do, whatever. Help us understand your character. You know what personality is.) Bio: (A history of your character. Where they come from, how they grew up. Sort of helps us understand your characters personality, how they came to be the way they are.) My character Name: Jace Shogun Age: 20 Kingdom: Era Previous Job: Theif Appearence: Jace Shogun Jace Shogun2 Weapon: Long Sword - Jace carries a long rough sword shown in the pictures above. It seems rather heavy but hes learned to weild it accordingly. Daggers - Jace carries two daggers on each side of his belt. Almost to the length of a short sword, each is sharp, light, and easy to weild. Some of the best weapons for a theif. Fighting Style: Jace was never much of a warrior but his skills as a theif have made him an amazing stealth fighter. He uses his daggers for light quick battle and his long sword for close quarters brute battling. Jace is often tactical with his attacks but sometimes he loses his head and this causes him to put himself into more danger then needed. Personality: Jace isn't your everyday theif. Over the years hes become one of the best at what he does and enjoys taking things that don't belong to him, even if he doesn't really want them. However, he is lazy. This is partly the reason he became a theif, his replacement for a real job. He only works professionally when he has to and obtains most of his money through thieving. He is a somewhat cunning man with a smart mouth and a firey personality. Bio: Jace grew up with his parents in a small town close to the kingdom of Era, here he currently resides. He was raise just as every kid, he attended school everyday and was expected to get a job at a seemingly young age. However, Jace was different, and instead of getting a job, he just, well, took things. Whenever he needed money or there was something he wanted, he just took it. He was often caught during his younger years but he improved each time, coming up with new techniques and ways to get things he wanted. At the age of 16 he left his parents and his town to pursue something greater in the Kingdom of Era. Era was huge compared to the small town he'd come from, and he found the game he was looking for. Each heist becoming more and more complicated each time. However, his progress was haulted when he met a girl named Juri. He actually planned on stealing from her, but as they talked he fell deeply in love. The two became a couple soon after and Juri was the first to accept Jace for what he was, a theif. She knew of his past and didn't agree with it, but contrary to what she'd tell you, she loves Jace. They were a match made in Heaven, both equipped with a firey personality and an insatiable savor for life. ? ? ? Well, there you go, Royal Bloodshed. Plenty of action and adventure as well as romantic intanglements. Not only will you be able to have someone back home, but there will be both men and women accompanying each army to the Fields of Kimmu, maybe leading to some new found love interests? It'll be plenty of fun and I expect everyone who signs up to keep active and post according to the story and those who have posted before them. Before posting, as I mentioned above, please read the thread posted at the Underground. It offers a lot of useful information about each kingdom as well as NPC's involved in the story. Have fun with your character creation and after I feel we've found an adequate amount of people I'll begin the RP. Thanks everyone. Adventure Inn Thread

Attention is divided equally between the events of the kingdom and is not focused on one specific thing. People of Era are known to be nice, caring people. Somewhat oblivious to the rest of the world Era resides peacefully away from the other two kingdoms. King Era - King Era is a man of immense stature. He walks tall and expects the respect and admiration of those around him. He is very smart and tactical when it comes to most things. He seldom shows emotion and it's rare to see a smile or frown upon his face. He pledges to stay strong for his kingdom and those around him. He chooses his generals personally and takes part in almost all big events burdening the kingdom. Hes an advocate for peace and does his best to protect his kingdom from outside forces. General Tai - General Tai is a tall quiet man with a fierce personality and a strong mind. He is Era's top general and is considered most loyal of all soldiers. He is in charge of the troops being sent to the Fields of Kimmu to intercept the armies of both Ruuc and Jist. He respects only those he pressumes deserve it and ignores those who don't. He uses a large broad sword in battle and is considered the best in Terra concerning large weapons. Ruuc The kingdom of Ruuc is dark and mysterious. Populated by only the best of fighters across Terra. It is known best for its stealth abilities as well as overall power. Most people from Ruuc are scournful and quiet compared to those of the other kingdoms. They are smart and extremely tactical concerning moves on the battlefield. King Ruuc - King Ruuc is a tall masked man who barely ever speaks. His directions are carried out by those under him and few have ever heard his actual voice. He sits atop the thrown of a large black castle surrounded by the dark buildings of the city of Ruuc. His moves are incredibly tactical and he is known as one of the greatest kings of all time, despite his quiet outer exterior. General Shu - General Shu is the king's "right-hand" man concerning most of the kingdom's matters. He stands tall and muscular resembling that of a dark mysterious ninja. He is deadly and unforgiving when it comes to battle and will do whatever it takes to win. He is one of the few to have heard King Ruuc's voice and is the usual person responsible for carrying out his orders. He will be commanding the forces of Ruuc at the Fields of Kimmu against the armies of both Era nad Jist. He uses two katanas in battle accompanied small other trinkets and weapons he keeps with him. Jist The Kingdom of Jist is an almost eccentric gathering of magicians, gypsys, thieves, story-tellers, bards, and warriors of the greatest magical power. The people of Jist are a little strange, or out of the ordinary. However, there is often a method to the madness and Jist has become quite an underestimated kingdom. They pertain some of the smartest most knowledgable people of all Terra and our a force to be reckoned with. King Jist - King Jist is perhaps the craziest of all. No one really knows how he came to become King, but he commands the position with great power and authority. He seems almost mad in person but he is known as one of the most brilliant men of all time. Hes an expert of several areas of magic and has yet to find someone of greater power. He never seems to pay much attention to the events of Terra, always preoccupied with something else. General Rolo - General Rolo is also rather eccentric. Not as much so as King Jist, but hes actually the only one who understands him. They often spend hours discussing the effects and tendencies of people as well as the universe and Terras place within it. He is deadly in battle with magic as well as physical attacks. He uses a single long, thin sword and a variety of spells to battle with those from other kingdoms. Quite deadly.
