Originally posted by BabyGirl Joruus C'Boath, clone of Jedi Jorus C'Boath...have you read all three books in the Thrawn series yet?
No, I only read the first book...it ended very abruptly. C'Boath had yet to meet Luke face to face. The book wasn't bad, I like how Mara Jade whipped up on Luke with the help of the Yamaasi(sp).

Well, Iwent to Barns and Noble and read a ton of Star Wars stuff the other day, and I have a couple questions... Did anyone else get mad when Mara Jade married Luke Skywalker? Did General Thrawn resurrect the Emporer, or is that another storyline? What happens to the Dark Jedi Master that Thrawn finds, I think his name is G'Boath, but I can't recall? Any awnsers would be much appreciated...]

Just don't get alcohol poisoning...and remember paying for your friends is a waste of money, it is better just to make friends with people in fraternaties, and mooch off their beer and women for free ;)

Okay, I got a 17.6, which is about what I expected to get...Justin you must be a freak man!...and Ken, leave the animals alone, that is just wrong!!

The money isn't usually in creating a website of your own, but in creating sites for businesses and maintaining them. Usually you have to either work for a company that builds sites, or have good references for building sites.

I agree. I think that the dubbed versions are every bit as good as the subbed. They match up well, the dialogue is nearly exact, and the voice actors did excellent jobs capturing the charecters personalities.

Well If it isn't all just a gimmick (not the wife beating, just the no shows) then I agree with the Rock..."get the F out". I enjoy Austin, but I am a bigger Goldberg fan...maybe with Austin gone Goldberg will wreck havock on the WWE, they need another intense bald guy...no I don't mean Kurt Angle...

The tone of this thread is very hostile in many of the posts. I am not a mod, and I rarely get involved in these situations, but please do not curse at another person because he or she does not share your view point, and please do not use phrases like "you just don't understand", without explaining the message you are trying to convey. Now that my rant is over...I believe that it is essential to fund space exploration. There are too many problems that we, as a planet, will have to address in the near future about the available living space on earth, the available natural resources that we are rapidly depleteing, and the available growing space for crops on. If we have not found a way to efficently deal with these issues in the next hundred years or so, then I feel a great war will be inevitable. Why space exploration may not be the final solution to any of these problems, it is definatly worth while to explore all of our options. If speedy and efficent space transportation can be created or if a large spacestation or colony can be built and sustained then humankind could have a solution to some of are more complex problems.

I haven't had a good on in quite sometime, but sometimes being single does have its advantages...

Whats Your Beaches Like (If you have them)
Heaven's Cloud replied to Frankie's topic in General Discussion
Why we do have some excellent beaches in North Carolina, my favorite beach is in Rehobeth, Delaware. It has quite a history with my family, which has been going or has lived there for the last four generations. It is a lovely beach, and although the water is a little murkey, the town is picturesque. There is a long, wooden boardwalk that is lined with shops, hotels, and eateries. The beaches are packed during the summer months, and at night people stroll down the boardwalk or sit on the dark beach and listen to the surf. It is a great beach, and although it hasgotten a little more crowded then I would like, I could not imagine a summer passing witout taking at least one visit. -
It was a lucky shot, I tell ya!!! Darn that Brett Hull, Darn him to Heck!!!

Gaming Has anyone ever amde a perfect file on any Final Fantasy games?
Heaven's Cloud replied to Spikey's topic in Noosphere
Man, I thought it as very difficult to get FF7 perfect. It took me forever to beat those two stupid Weapons (Ruby and Emerald), they put Seph to shame. And it also took quie awhile to get my gold chocobo to the highest level. -
Yeah, that show rocked, hoefully Comedy Central will pick it up. One of my favorite scenes had to do with the Star Trek show that Peter was watching...the exchange went like this Cpt. Kirk: I'll need a landing party to encounter the hostile Galdorians. I'll take Spock, Bones, and ensign Billy Ensign Billy: Damn it!

It depends what you mean by blind date. I have never been on a blind date alone, arranged by a third party. However, I have been "hooked up with" a person I have never met in a friendly enviorment many times. Several times my buddy's girlfriends have told me about a friend that would be "perfect" for me. To be honest, the girls I meet that way are usually pretty cool, and fairly attractive...but I have never ended up seriously dating any of these girls.

Hmmm...I know this is entirely off of topic, but I read I, Jedi today (It ruled, I read it in one sitting) and I was hoping that a few of you could suggest a few books that deal specifically with the Jedi. I read the earlier book posts, but it just mentioned authors, not plots (so much). Also, I was wondering if the story(ies) about the Emporer Reborn were any good, and which book(s) are they in?
-
Yep, you are pretty stupid ;) But don't worry we all have these moments. I have figured out a new plan that I am going to start to implement. Everytime I don't talk to a girl that I am interested in, I am going to have a friend punch me in the stomach (my original plan was to have someone kick me right in the family jewels, but I do want to have kids someday). Depending on how much of a masochist you are, this may or may not work. Personally, I prefer to avoid pain whenever possible.

The War on Anything That Moves
Heaven's Cloud replied to Ravenstorture's topic in General Discussion
Hmmm...I don't believe communism is a bad idea, it is a great threoy, just impractical. In an ideal communist society everyone works for the common good of the people, they make the same salary, and are entitled to the same luxurys. In truth, humanity will never be able to accept commuinism in this fashion. People want to strive to be better than their neighbor, we want to have better things, and we are naturally jealous and competetive. This is not the American way this is the human way. Here is a good example. Take a look at any communist country in the world. Their leaders ride around in bullet proof limos. In an ideal communist society, everybody would have equal access to those limos, but do they...no. Why not? A limo is a luxury, not a neccessity...in a communist society shouldn't everyone be entitled to the same luxury? Now, on to selectuve breeding. I am very anti genetic engineering. It will give people the ability to manipulate humanity's greatest attribute, our ability to think for ourselves. I am against any science that could advance restrictions on thought. No amount of success in the field is worth that risk. -

The War on Anything That Moves
Heaven's Cloud replied to Ravenstorture's topic in General Discussion
Hitler was a meglomniac who used the idealistic philosophies of Carl Marx, Thomas Moore, and a slew of others to influence a broken nation to commit one of the greatest atrocities of all time. Hitler never wanted to live in a perfect society, he wanted to control the world using fear and hatred. As for the idea of "Utopia", I believe that Thomas Moore wasn't expressing how an ideal society could be, instead he was using an ideal society to depict the "flawed" charecteristics of human nature. It is impossible to ignore that nature is competitive. Therefor, a Utopia becomes an impossibility...I believe that is the message Moore was trying to convey. By the way...please play nice. This is a message board, if you have an argument, post it, don't insult someone without being able to back up your point of view. -
Lets go Canes!!! Who would have thought that a die hard Caps fan would ever blaspheme such, but, living in NC, I have to pull for the home team. Plus, I hate the Red Wings with a passion.

I got the limited Edition boxed set...it comes wit all types of crap, including the soundtrack (OST 1, which I already have). I found it for $149 used, but I didn't want to take the chance so I shelled out $340 for it, but they only made 9,999 of them, so maybe it'll be worth something one day...if I don't wear it out on my DVD player. Get Blue....it is avery good soundtrack.

I think maxed out my credit card today, I ordered the entire series on DVD. As I have stated thousands of time, Cowboy Bebop is my all time favorite anime series. The story line between Spike and Viscous rocks, Faye Valentine is the ultimate femme fatale, and Edward...well I cannot say enough about Edward. Yoko Kano did an incredible job composing the music for the series, and the animation and the storyline are both awesome. I'll end this post with a quick reminder, eat eggs!

A Hienz Bottle? I'd give you mad props for that...just take pictures. Why are DocMartins Prep Shoes? I have three pairs and I still wear my first pair of boots that I got over six years ago...that is longevity baby! What is a non-prep shoe? Chucks? Vans? Pumas? what?... I'm curious to know because I have never considered my Doc's "preppy" ...although I guess I kinda am a prep. -
Nope, Sailor moon is set to go on Toonami, as well as Hamtaro. Batman Beyond will be taken off of the air for...It is on the tip of my brain, I cannot think of it...darn. Anyways, for all of Sailor Moon fans, don't expect anything new, the final season has still yet to be subbed and dubbed.
