Umm, I would say Straight Faced is pretty loud and "obnoxious" to those that do not enjoy that genre of music. They are a hardcore/punk-ish band. In terms of metal, I would say Static X. Anything off their first album Wisconsin Death Trip. I prefer "I'm With Stupid (He's a loser)". I know my mom cannot stand them. Then again, aside from ska, she cannot stand pretty much anything I listen to.

Not too shabby. :) It was well worth the read. This coming from a guy who does not really enjoy doinf such things. Keep it up. :)

I do not like it. Pros: ? The colors are nice. ? I like the dotted lines style around these input boxes. Cons: ? The top banner is too wide. People with 800x600 resolutions have a streched page. ? The welcome thing at the top of the page is too big. The avatar there is not neccessary and only causes for further scrolling down the page in order to get to the actual forums. ? The Private Messages thing should remain at the bottom, in my opinion. It does not fit up top. ? The different posts and categories are split up. There are spaces between them. This causes only more unneccesary scrolling. The board was much easier to follow when everything was together. I could get to them a lot faster as well. ? The area on the left side of posts is too cluttered. The "Quote" and "Edit" options worked better in the area of the actual post. The "User Information" box is also rather unneccesary. It only takes up more space. That are is too small to have so many things in it at one time. Just look at you first post in this topic. Your post area is streched because your left area is greater then that of you actual post. Messy. ? The left area of posts also seems a bit wider. Either that, or that post area is thinner. It just does not looks right. ? The dotted line style around the multiple shortcut buttons here in the reply page make everytihing look too crammed into one spot. ? I also noticed that most people's posts are appearing in Times New Roman. Surely one can do better than that ugly font. You could do something more like Tahoma. I think that would fit with the rest of this "Industrial" look. In short, change the colors. Not the layout.

I do enjoy the Sex Pistols. I have only heard a handful of their songs. It is kind of hard to find a decent file for download, and I have been broke for the longest time so it is not like I could buy a CD of theirs. I do like their music, though, very much.

Anime Dubbed Gotenks Vs Dubbed Vegetto
PiroMunkie replied to Jinzouningen17's topic in Otaku Central
Well I have yet to hear Vegetto's dubbed voice since they stopped showing DragonBall Z on the Midnight Run. So when I get a chance to hear it, I guess I shall be able to put in my two cents. -
My guess would be because the Newbie Lounge at point counted posts. Then it was made not to count them. So with the deletion of the Newbie Lounge, the people who posted there lost those posts that they put in there. Not that it matters.

I am glad to see it go. This My Otaku sounds like it shoudl be good. We shall just have to wait and see.

Come the end of February I shall have remained active on these boards for two years. I do not know what it is about this place, but I just enjoy being here. Unless there is absolutely nothing going on in these forums, then I spend every moment of my internet time with OtakuBoards open in at least one browser window (it might be open in one or two others if I am looking for references in other posts). Most people here have become like a second family, and as the old playground chant goes: "First is the worst, second is the best...". ^_^ Being asked to be a moderator was a great moment. Finally, I was given a chance to give back to the boards what they had given to me. I was even recently asked if I would want to step up to the next level of moderation. Though I had to turn it down, it felt really good to know that I was even considered for such an honorable position. I love this place. :)
Originally posted by Mitch I think that any burning of a flag shows that: 1) You are unpatriotic 2) You do not respect Americans 3) You do not respect freedom
You are pretty much calling a high percentage of Americans unpatriotic, and disrespectful towards Americans and freedom. Many companies that fly United States' flags on their buildings do not just throw them away when they become faded, torn, and tattered from being beaten in the wind. No, they usually give them to a local Boy Scout troop and ask them to retire it. The way to retire a flag is to burn it. The troop holds a little ceremony, which ends up with the flag being placed over a fire, and everyone stands around in silence until the flag is no more. Then, the ashes are usually spread over the land of which they were retired on, but this part is optional. The Boy Scout troop that I am in went camping this weekend and we were given a flag to retire. It had flown on the side of a building since September 11. The burning of a flag is not wrong as long is it is done properly or with a legit reason.

I took one session of Judo a long time ago back when I was in second or third grade. I did not continue after that. I did not enjoy how difficult the test was. We were children and they expected us to know the proper names for every move that was there and the history of Judo. I just mostly improvise when I fight with a so-called "martial arts style".
Originally posted by TheDarkOtaku I am so downtrodden and upset right now from getting called a "loser, fat, nonentity" all day. What do you think I should do ? :(
Are you sure they are intelligent enough to use an actual word that is more than two syllables? Pretty much everything I would have to say has been said. I do not have too much of a problem with these kind of people. They do not give me a reason to. Sure, what they do is pathetic and stupid. So you just have to learn to ignore it. If you are walking down the halls and accidentally bump into one of them and they start mouthing off, just keep walking. Do not even acknowledge their presence. They are not worth your time. Even if they keep following, just keep walking. Do not even pick up your pace like you are trying to avoid them. Just act as if they were not even there. They should leave you alone. If they get physical and try to fight you, then fight back, but only after they make the first move so you can claim self-defense. I do not really condone violence, but you have a right to protect yourself... Though, at my school, if you are involved in a fight, self-defense or not, you still get in some pretty big trouble.

Well, as it has been said before, first impressions are always made by how someone looks. If one is immature and shallow, then they will not even give a less than attractive person a chance. Inner beauty, or lack there of, over-rides all. It can make someone you thought was not so attractive seem beautiful, or, if the person is not-so-nice on the inside, make the beauty a beast. Personally, I find the unconventionally beautiful people the most attractive. Both inside and out. Flaws, I find, are the greatest things about people. I enjoy seeing them. It just makes the person appear so much greater in my eyes to know that they do not try to hide anything.
Originally posted by boogeta hey anime girl you need to stay with the posts discusion
Let the moderators do the moderating, please.
anyway I dont get the danceing stuff and why would earings effect a fusion:confused:
The dance is what makes the fusion happen. It is the synchronization of the two fighter's movements that the dance has that allows them to fuse. This fusion can only be held for thirty minutes. The fusion earrings (I forget their actual name) allow two separate fighters to fuse if they both attach one to the opposite ear of the other. This fusion can be held as long as the fighter does not remove the earrings... I think an opponent might be able to beat them down so much that they can no longer stay together, but I am not sure. Someone correct me if I am wrong. Also, if I am not mistaken, a pair of fighters can only fuse this way once. Each technique has its good and bad aspects, it is almost impossible to figure out which one is better. Anyway, that is what the dance and earrings are all about, and what they have to do withthe fusion.
Originally posted by Transtic Nerve Trunk's hair was silver as a preteen. In the Trunk's TV Special it was a grey-ish silver with a slight ting of purple. As he grows older it becomes more purple.
For the first time I must disagree with you on this DragonBall knowledge (if one may call it that, lol). Even as a pre-teen his hair is undoubtably some variation of purple. I copy and pasted a picture of Trunks as several ages in PhotoShop and used the eyedropper tool to pick up the different shades of color in his hair. Each one was some variation of a purple or magenta color. You can try it yourself if you would like. The color code for silver is C0C0C0. You will notice that the colors in Trunk's hair, even at their lightest, do not even come too close to that area.

o_O I really thought everyone knew it was purple, or at least some variation of purple. If it was gray, you would know it was grey, there would be no little dispute. People these days, lol. ^_^

This is quite a common question brought up. I have read that Toriyama said they cannot in an interview, and I am not one to argue. Though, I would not mind finding that interview and reading it, but so far I have had no such luck. If an Saiya-jin female was to ever attain such a level, there is no doubt in my mind that Pan would be the one. She had the fighting spirit and spunk to do so, in my opinion. They never show or speak of a female ever attaining the Super Saiya-jin level, so one just has to go with the idea that they cannot. Surely, if Pan were to ever have achieved that level, they would have mentioned it in the DragonBall GT television special. There might be relative reason that they cannot. If you think about it, the levels of Super Saiya-jin get kind of odd. Super Saiya-jin 1 and 2 are not too bad, but can you imagine a female at Super Saiya-jin level 3? It is disturbing enough on the guys, lol. :drunk: They might have been able to make Super 4 look good. I do not know, I have never taken the time to actually sketch theoretical drawings of such things. If you do not want to just deny the fact that they cannot become Super Saiya-jin, you can just say that the fact that they have Saiya-jin blood in them gives them that potential, but no Saiya-jin female was ever pushed to that potential and level of anger. In the case of Pan, as much of a tomboy as she was, she was still girly with emotions. She would be more likely be hurt or saddened by something rather than angered. Either that, or you just say they cannot.
Originally posted by Yu Yu Hakusho! Well, to find the right info, you have to read Beckett DBZ magazine...
I have never trusted any information that I have not known that I have read in that magazine. More often have I found errors in their information, even on the most obvious of topics. I have a magazine upstairs, I am just a little lazy right now to go up and get it. So yes, I would not chalk Beckett down as a reliable rescource. The only thing they are really good for are the interviews.

Anime will the sayain race be totaly gone after dbgt?
PiroMunkie replied to Ya)\/(I-YuGI's topic in Otaku Central
You seem to be a little confused when it comes to heredity. So I shall explain this as simply as I can. It is not too confusing. Kakarot and Vegeta, as you said, are both 100% Saiya-jin. Kakarot has a child with ChiChi, and Vegeta with Bulma. ChiChi and Bulma are both 100% Human. This makes Gohan, Trunks, Goten, and Bra all 50% Human and 50% Saiya-jin. This is figured since the offspring of two people who are both 100% of a separate race cannot be 200%. So, being that only two people were involved in the conception of the offspring, and the product of the hereditary percentage much equal 100, one can deduce that dividing one hundred by 2 (the number of people involved in the conception) you will get half of your answer. In this case, as mentioned before, you will get 50. Then you would take this product, minus the desired sum of 100 to get the other value. This case is simple since it goes only 50/50, and you had no problem with that. It is when you got to the third generation (ie: Gohan and Videl's daughter; Pan) that you made a mistake. In figuring Pan's hereditary statistics in what percentage Saiya-jin she is, and what percentage Human she is, you would follow the same steps above, just more intricate as you are now dealing with someone who is 100% Human (Videl) and a hybrid (Gohan) who is 50% Human and 50% Saiya-jin. You have two separate equations to work with in this case. To figure out Pan's Human influence, the equation would look something like: (Videl's Human Percentage + Gohan's Human Percentage) / 2 = Pan's Human Percentage And/Or, to figure Pan's Saiya-jin influence, the equation would look something like: (Videl's Saiya-jin Percentage + Gohan's Saiya-jin Percentage) / 2 = Pan's Saiya-jin Percentage So, putting this into effect, let us calculate Pan's Saiya-jin influence. Starting at the beginning, Videl does not carry any Saiya-jin blood, so her value would be 0. Gohan is 50% Saiya-jin, so his value would be 50. Your equation now looks like this. (0 + 50) / 2 = Pan's Saiya-jin Percentage. Knowing to always work inside the parenthesis first, we add 0 and 50 together, which, obviously, is 50. So now you have: 50 / 2 = P. Now, if you have not already guessed, you take 50 and divide it by 2, which gives you 25 = P. Pan is 25% Saiya-jin, which, to make a long story short ( ... too late... ) makes her 75% Human. So the pattern, starting with Pan in Saiya-jin heredity, as each generation goes by, would go 1/4, 1/8, 1/16, 1/32, 1/64... etc. This, of course, is assuming that the other partner has no Saiya-jin or other race besides Human in them. In conclusion, as long as the children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and so on do not die before they can reproduce another offspring there will always be someone with Saiya-jin blood in them. The amount of Saiya-jin blood will just continue to become smaller and smaller as each generation passes by. [edit] Wow, look at all these posts that happened while I was typing mine. ^_^ -
Currently I have no gaming system. I need to get a job to pay for the other half of it, lol. My parents do not care too much about my academics. As long as my grades are good, then they do not mind. If my grades start to lip then they may limit the amount of time I spend online or whatever. Other than that, I do not really have a problem with anything like that.

I do not think I have ever been followed. Though I have been approached a few times. Once, a longer time ago, when I was still in grade school. My friend and I were walking around a school not far from our own and this group of older kids were in across the way, coming our direction. They appeared less than friendly so we booked it three-fourths of the way around the school and hid in these empty spaces in the ground that let light into the basement windows of the school. We just stayed there for a few minutes then got out. They were gone by then. A second time was at a Boy Scout winter campout. A group of kids from another troop approached our guys. I forget what was said. They were just looking for a rumble (one of our troops favorite past times. ^_^ No punches or kicks or anything. Just holds and take-downs.). The biggest guy there (just a little bigger than me) tried to take me down, but I just threw him over my hip. I guess he took it pretty seriously as the rumble slowly escalated into a fight. Our guys eventually just went back to our grounds. One of my friends, a big guy who can take on his dad who is a security officer, would have loved to tear them limb from limb, but he was the Senior Patrol Leader at the time and had to set a good example. Otherwise, we all would have had our way with them. All they had was maybe one or two people our age and a bunch of people who were probably in grade school (seventh or eigth grade), whereas we had four or five people our age, and several grade school people. Despite their age, they are fairly tough. I have never really been followed, though. ^_^ Is it just me or do there seem to be a lot of 'being followed/approached' type topics lately?
Originally posted by Solo Tremaine Anything that starts off an addiction isn't good.
Marijuana is not much of an addictive substance. Given there may be a few cases where a person does have some kind of dependence on it, most people could quit just as easily as they started. They just continue to do it because they like the feeling it gives them, not because they are addicted. For example, I have a friend that likes to jog to get her adrenaline pumping. She does not have to jog, but she does it because it makes her feel good. She could stop jogging if she wanted. I know it is a bit odd comparing a healthy excerise to an illegal drug, but the comparison works all the same. Most people also know the risks of smoking marijuana before they do, and accept them. If they do not, then they learn of them and decide against it, or just accept them and continue doing it.
