1. After months of searching I finally was hired for a full time job today. In true geek fashion, my first reaction was an (internal) "Yatta!"
 2. I'd think it would be hard to avoid since it's an unconscious reflex. Really just depends on how desensitized the person is whether it happens or not.
"PUT THAT DOWN RIGHT NOW JEEZ"
"Drop it and step away from the girl now!"
 3. It reminds me that I did once try and coin a phrase in reference to some bratty teenagers that I had to supervise at a previous job: "Hell hath no furry like a teenager's sense of entitlement" It seems the phrases I try to coin never catch on.
 4.
Oh and Ryan AKA Morpheus would only give me the Vatican City if he took over the world.
Well that means he is technically giving you an entire country.
 5.
No Chibi you are not the only one who finds enjoyment in that. I LOVE big sweaters and hoodies and things. They're so comfy! And I agree on the cold with no snow thing as well. ITS FREEZING BUT THERE'S NO SNOW! WTF? I hate it. I wish I still lived in NC where it only gets like 4o during the winter.
It's the same here right now. It's been freezing but not a trace of snow. Except today it's been in the 50's again. That's why they say that in Iowa if you don't like the weather, wait a minute.
 6.
Have to admit Lucky Star is a good anime to brighten your mood, watched the entire series after a bad break-up a couple of weeks back and it really helped to make me laugh.
I've come to realize that slice-of-life comedies in general have that relaxing effect on me. Even live-action films like "Linda Linda Linda" and "The Taste of Tea" help to relax me.
 7.
No, you get to work the entire week leading up to Christmas on late shifts, especially on the 22nd and 23rd when you get the ******** who decided it was fine to do their shopping then a day or two beforehand and then get pissed off at you that your store might've served a considerable quantity of customers before them and thus lack certain items they desire. Penny Arcade's last two strips are rather apt in this regard.
I remember being able to relate to those last two strips a little too well. Oh any why, exactly does everyone want one of those Zsu Zsu pet thingamajigs (I just discovered that thingamajigs was in my spell check dictionary) all of a sudden? It's something different every year. I remember it was Tickle Me Elmo way back when.
 8. I survived my first experience of working retail on Black Friday...can I have a real job now?
 9.
It may not be the most intricate or well defined charicter but i always liked Ganondorf/Ganon the guy may not be all that deep, but in almost every game he is in he usually gets the upper hand and sculpts the world with his hate, plunging a once peaceful(ish) place into a world of darkness.
I like that in Wind Waker they actually gave him a reason for wanting to rule Hyrule so much.
 10.
For some reason my sister can not fathom the difference between me lending her something that I bought (thus making it mine), and her handing over something that our parents bought for the entire family to use (making it ours/theirs). Ever had one of those siblings? You know the argument. "Why should I lend you this if you didn't lend me tha~t?!" "Because I bought this myself, but that is not yours, it's ours/theirs. You have no right to keep it holed up in your room, never to be seen again." "There's no difference!" YES THERE *****ING IS!"
At least she's not like my brother was when we were kids. He considered asking for something while I was asleep as full consent. Of course both of us were capable of carrying on conversations in our sleep back then.
 11.
5. Jason Mraz (I'm one of those snobs who's loved him for 6 years)
Thanks to having a hip boss in High School there were several artist that I got into before they hit it big (Jason Mraz and Yellowcard come to mind) So, come to think of it, I might have you beat on Mraz by a year or two.
 12.
It says that I'm now mentally crying. :(
Crap, I take it back then. Crying is my one weakness.
 13.
It's obligatory, and still humourous in this context. Now, I need to get James to change his avatar to Vegeta crushing his scouter.
Completely unrelated but I was wondering. What does it say about me that I have absolutely no clue who this Lady Gaga person is?
 14. I don't have one favorite band but I do have a top five that I consistently love: In no particular order 1. mewithoutYOU 2. Ben Folds 3. Sufjan Stevens 4. The Arctic Monkeys 5. Derek Webb Matt Wertz has also been working his way into the list as of late.
 15.
Sure, uh, I'll keep the women and you guys can divvy up the dudes. Should be plenty to go around then. :p I've also never had eggnog, not have any desire to drink it. Americans fascination with adding alcohol to a dairy-poultry concoction when they could just stick with the alcohol boggles my mind. Also Magus, your dislike of chicken and soup disappoints me terribly.
Eggnog with alcohol has always been one of those things that I thought "this would be really good if they just took the booze out of it." Strawberry daiquiris are another thing in that category. Well I actually like eggnog so I guess no virgins for me. :(
 16.
My minions are constantly under surveillance, often by other minions. It's better if you just get used to idea now rather than having to go through...re-education.
Don't you know that when you leave minion surveillance to other minions you will always get the genius computer hacker in that job who aides the rebellion from the inside. He will utimately be found and captured but by then it will be to late and the hero of the rebellion will be at your doorstep. And that is why you should never trust middle-management.
 17.
I don't think it ever could really. I prefer listening to older covers of songs (Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra etc) because they just feel more Christmas-y. Newer artists just are meh. Some can hit it, most can't in my opinion. I wanted to break down though. I was listening to I'll Be Home For Christmas. And I don't get to go home for it.
I typically like listening to new takes on the old classic songs. I've encountered a few artists that can pretty consistently make great new spins on those songs. Keeps them fresh for me.
 18.
Today's been, well, I don't know how to explain it. My other half and I were just asking each other random questions, and I had asked him what he'd do if I ever got pregnant. After a couple minutes of thought he replied 'I think I've explained this before, but I would do my damn best to make sure to raise our child and take care of you the best I could, no matter how many jobs I had to take.'. It just makes me realize he really is a gift to me. Also: I've been listening to Christmas music all day today.
I've been debating when I should start the Christmas music this year. I'm worried that working in a Dept. store might completely ruin it for me.
 19. I find that my favorites tend to be the realist, straight-man types. Kagami in Lucky Star and Kyon in The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya are good examples of this. I think I tend to like these characters because I can see a lot of myself in them.
 20.
I think that was the major culprit in my misunderstanding as well. Granted in hindsight it's infinitely preferable to the real thing but still damn confusing to a male child who has no idea of the function of sanitary pads.
Come to think of it, they do use that same blue liquid for diaper commercials too.
 21.
I used to think it was possible to swing over the bar & become an inside-out girl.
Nickelodeon was very strange when we were kids. Think of Cat/Dog, Ren and Stimpy, and Stick Stickly (I can still remember the address jingle from that).
 22.
what is the most disturbing thing you have seen in an anime? I think hansel and gretel from black lagoon were freeking weird. they're these little twins that were raised in as
porn slaves. they get their kicks from putting nails in peoples heads, believing killing people would make them immortal. im not even sure which one is the boy and which is the girl, since they're both split personalitys who take turns wearing a wig. oh yeah, and they made out.

I think you made me never want to watch that show.
 23. Really wish I had Internet in my apartment. It's getting way too cold to sit outside and mooch off the public library's WiFi.
 24.
Man. So I very well may be the most stressed out person in the world right now. I feel like my brain is going to explode. I need for Saturday to be over. Oh lol, & the TV just told me that my birth control pills might be killing me. Neat.
I wouldn't be surprised if TV started saying that breathing will kill you.
 25. The biggest pros for each of them is this: The PS3 hardware is much more stable than the 360 while the 360's online and community functionality is far better than the PS3's. Outside that, the software on the two consoles is pretty comparable with each having very solid libraries and extras. So you might want to mainly consider how much of an online gamer you are.
