1. I've been here off and on for about a year now. And there's got to be something about these boards for keeping me enthralled. It's not the forums, name, or whatnot that make this wonderful place. It's the people. The variously intersting personalities, and creative people are what make this a wonderful place. So, I think these are the best boards I've ever been a part of, and that's saying more than seems.
2. I wrote a full sonnet yesterday. It wasn't an easy task, and I'm pretty happy with what I got: Knifed Heart Upon my eyes the moon does glow and bestow this radiance which feel I do all around the beauty I feel to the ground and so below yet all the earth alas doth reply is surround Even though this does the earth still embrace grant as of god's eternal unend of surmise so warmly the earth doth penance of scant like a warmly father of long concise And is not love of a like size of edge? a glowing shine upon our steep mortal ties but alas a knife forever placed upon pledge that so gently is knifed doth swing of binds And I see thy radiance of that heart keeping love in knife of all wounded part
3. Do what you want. Don't let anyone influence your decision to do what you want. I don't really like Skateboarding, but it is intersting to watch it, and I like the THPS games...but, just do what you think is right.
4. Perfection is an imperfect perfect only known as one can see yet always seems it does decieve deep within a sudden want a want of something more something which is better to store but to see perfection is to see the fault and to fault is to see the true see the pefection of the reflectionary untrue and it does then get inside of you that perfection is but a flaw never to achieve only seen by those who wish the world to cease to be
5. Oh, I didn't know that it wasn't a law that you can burn a flag... I think that any burning of a flag shows that: 1) You are unpatriotic 2) You do not respect Americans 3) You do not respect freedom Basically, it just shows ignorance. Especially if you are a citizen of the US. But I can not stop people from doing it, nor will I.
6. Behelden Beauty If beauty is to be beheld how is one to behold? is it grasped tightly and frantically until nothing is to behold except the true portrayal of the facade? If beauty is to be beheld how is one to behold? is it grasped intuitionally within? even is there a second time to doubt except that first visionary view? Because if beauty is to be beheld and one is to firmly behold it as one does faith is not beauty a formality of acrimonious glean put to outbuilding abuse? Uncertainly Certain I feel something inside of me a whimper of self-doubt a precontradiction of some eating intuition and I wonder to myself is it just an insecure turn to the left? or is it something so much more? uncertainty is always certainty yet still I can't help but wonder because wonder is uncertainty and uncertain is what I can be called decisions are only as hard as they look but looks can be the most devishly deceiving and if I am deceived I am wrong and to be wronged is to be certain but to be righted is to be uncertain in most predetermined choices yet alas this time I am ferally standing to be unwrong even if that does mean taking it all for what it seems because really this self doubt is really eating inside taking its godly good time granted that to mollify it is to faultingly blow the flame of uncertainty nothing has been such a certainty than that so here I still do stand accused by my very own conscience seemingly unable to find the true fiend of able wrong within my whispering echoes of my own subliminal incrimination
7. Just do it so you can be good enough to yourself to know that you have done it. I mean, as they say, "sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me," I mean, what could a simple no do to you? Would it radically change your opinion of the girl? I think not. You would still like her, life would go on, blah blah blah...sunshine. But I know it's harder than just that. Just tell yourself you can do it, and I'm certain then that you can get enough hype to do it. You've known her for quite some time, you say, and by that you should know where you stand within her skin, and if in your mind and in your soul you can see her saying that to you for certain, then don't fret so much. I'm certain most likely she would say yes, if she truely has an interest in you. No matter how small.
8. I'm all with you, Mnemolth...but still, both sides punch a good argument, so I can't side. But I could be called one of those insane people which spam so much on the Newbie Lounge....if that's what you want to characterize being witty and different and sarcastic (in a good way, mind you) is... I don't want to see the forum go yet still I see a river of movement of linerity of why it should...it's just to hard of a decision to choose for me. But your points, Mnemolth, were very true to my ears, and they keep echoing, even after I have read it. But still, I can't come to a standing point.
9. I'm still neutral in my opinion. I just can't find a point that is fair for all of us...there's some members that want the lounge gone....and others who want it. James, if you are going to change the forum, do it in a fair way which causes in some how or some way both sides of this argument to win. I'm for the My Otaku idea if that's what you want. Again, as I said, I'm in the middle, and whatever you do James, I'm for it. Just do something that equifies both sides of this argument, instead of leaning towards one or the other.
10. Sorry if I sounded kind of...firm there, heh. I just think that there's better places to discuss finding codes....but I do respect him. I guess what I said just sounded more firm than I meant it to. I just find it kind of pointless when he could've gotten them himself instead of creating a thread. But that was his decision and I do respect it...he deserves that respect...
11. Deus, it was kind of vague the way you interpeted it, but what I got from it...I suppose it means...I don't know. I think you should give the full version so I can see it more clearly and vividly. Once you do that, I'll give my opinion.
12. I don't think they should be killed, but I do believe that they should not create such a bomb ever. I mean nukes are already enough pain in this world today. I think maybe they should either have the sense that they are doing something which could end the world, or the goverment should step in and say that they cannot make it via law.
13. I used to drink pop quite often. But I have stopped, only drinking it from time to time. Mostly I choose water now. As for these studies....I still am hestiant, quite hestiant, in fact, to believe it will make you smarter. Caffeine is a stimulant of the central nervous system, the complete opposite of alcohol. Sure, it might make your reaction time and your computing abilities increase for the time that the caffeine is within your body. Although I do not believe caffeine is bad for you or anything, it still is addicting, and it is a drug.

Driving

Driving is one of the most stressful things I have experienced. It just seems to make me nervous all over. What's more my parents tease me everyday because I'm sixteen and don't have my license. And then, whenever I drive with my Dad, every little error that I make he screams at me and pops me lightly in the head. Which only succeeds into making me even more stressed and driving worse. Blah. But I can drive fine. I just never know where in the world I am going. Well, I know from my street and some other places....but I hate that sense of feeling lost. That's the worst thing about driving to me. All the rest was easy.
15. This is a mini-sonnet that we had to write for english. A sonnet is a fourteen line poem written with very strict rules. We shortend it to a six line one, with the rhyme scheme of ababcc, and it had to follow the iambic pantameter, which means it had to have 5 iambs (2 syllables) or 10 syllables: Burdenful Siding I saw the glare within your teary eyes the look of ill led guilt which lies buried a fruitful dine of with which makes thee blind the holding of that you have ever carried and to lay hidden behind that burden is to be the one whom thy vain molden
16.
Originally posted by Break It's a song not a poem, silly. :) You're mister poetic though. :p
A song is poetry in a sense. I mean a song is just what a poem is. A collection of an emotion or emotions which are written out and kept forever upon a peice of paper. But songs seem more...personal sometimes, I suppose. But poetry is personal as well....so they both are kind of a paradox of one another...I guess.
17. Blah. I hate people that just buy a game and just CHEAT right away. I mean, why in the world did you buy the game in the first place for then? It just ruins the entire game. I think this is a pretty worthles thread considering cheats are not all that hard to find. I mean, instead of making this usless thread, you could've found them yourself, or PMed CWB, or some other person that is knowledgable in Video Games. But I suppose this thread could be used to discuss the game. I still haven't beaten the third one, so I don't know if I want to get this one yet. But I have to say it does look good. But I hope they have a level as fun as the Rio one in the third. I loved that level....grind heaven.
18. Blah. To much arguing I have to say that I enjoy the Newbie Lounge. I am kind yet insane in that forum all in one person. I believe it is a good forum where I can just sit back, get rid of all of my intellectual boundaries, and become my true self and just let the other side of me, the sarcastic, witty, funny side, come out. I admit some of the posts are quite spammy, and useless to kick, but most members properly introduce themselves, and say welcome to the newbie, even if it be in a sarcastical witty way, it is still a kind gesture. I mean, I haven't seen anyone just sit there and type nothingness for all to read, most of the posts are spammy, yet they are to a point as well. Although the Newbie Lounge does seem useless, it serves as a good place where we can see new members, and keep track of where current members are going, or if they are back. If you were to get rid of the Newbie Lounge, I am almost certain you would see an increase and spam elsewhere. But I do think it is a rather useless forum, but at the same time I love it for some reason. So really, I don't know which way I side on this argument. On one side, the forum seems usless, on the other, I enjoy the forum to sit back and relax and be the other side, the not so itellectual side of me. So really I am passive on this. I'm not sure either way. But whatever decision you make, I'm with it, James. These are your boards, so it is your choice.
19. I myself don't think we should go to war until we have the united nations backing us up. Because if we do initiatively attack Iraq, many other countries would be very rather angry. One of the facts is of course oil, but there are numerous others, like some nations support Iraq. Now, I don't have that much understanding of our history with Iraq ect., although I know a little. But this could turn into another World War. I'm certain it could. I mean, if all of the nations which support Iraq went against us, I'm certain our allies would then retaliate. And poof. You've got another war. I'm hoping that Bush is smart enough to wait on the United Nations. But who knows, he's already been doing a faulty job letting his cabinet run him, so I wouldn't be surprised.
20. A long distance relationship, from what I have seen, rarely works. A relationship is supposed to be you and someone else getting to know eacheother, not worrying what someone's doing or if they even care about you. They just don't work. The only way I could see a relationship such as the one you have now is if you constantly wrote, talked, whatever every single day. I'm also with Justin: Most aren't mature enough. And it is highly doubtful any of us here on the boards are.

PMs
Originally posted by Elite I have only ever received 10 PMs, so I wouldn't know! *cries* I thought it was 10 at maximum, although I may be wrong..
I'm happy to say 2/10 are mine :) I think mine can hold 70 if I correctly remember. I'm unsure though. Heh, at first I didn't even know that the 'sent messages' folder thing also clogged up your PM box. I learned that the hard way, though.
22. Inner beauty, in the end, is much more of an importance. Well, at least if you consider you may want to marry someone, and that you would spend almost all of the rest of the hours of your life with you. Most people which I have found attractive are usually, in most cases, very stuck up and arrogant. So I don't think you can get both in the exchange, I mean, there can be an intermixing of sorts, but you can't have someone that is attractive and is a very good person inside. That would be called perfection, and perfection is far from unflawed itself, even though what you might hear. But my point is that not all people are what they first appear to be. I mean, to base what you belive on someone just from a single first impression is to be very narrow-minded and unable to see something what it truly is. So I believe inner beauty is of more importance when you get down to the core of what is truly to be seen.
23. There is already a thread discussing a variation of this topic. To see it click here. If you would like to bring it up there, you surely can. Always check to see if there's a topic in relation to the one which you are considering posting before going to the extent of clogging up the boards with something that is already able to be discussed elsewhere.
24. If it's Monday, I'm out in the morning. If it's any other day of the week, early tests really have no dissipation via my sleepiness. It's just usually Mondays that I'm pretty out of it all. But yes, I do think earlier morning tests are effected by our tiredness.
25.
Originally posted by The Harlequin Mitchell doesn't seem to mean much, other than I'm related to quite a lot of hicks, none of which I particularly like...
So I'm a hick now, eh? Well, I know I am certainly not. I still find it rather odd you have my first name as your last. But nonetheless I felt I had to tease. :p
