1. We have a "Senior Skip Day," and seniors aren't allowed to be in school.
2. I used to love Goosebumps. I've read all of them, I think, up until the "2000" series started coming out. That was around the time I lost interest, I guess. My favorite books were the Monster Blood ones, heh. ^_^
3.
Originally posted by Carr Anywhoo, I have friends that get real excited about it and that's fun, but I have friends who don't even try *ahemsaraahem* to participate. To each his own, right..
*points out that she hasn't done anything blatantly anti-Spirit-week this year* But, yeah. School spirit isn't really my thing, I guess. It's fun to see other people do it. But if wearing pajamas to school involves freezing at my bus stop, or "crazy hair" day requires getting up before six AM to pur curliques in my hair...well, like I said. Not really my thing. I'm sort of passive about it, heh.
4. I went trick-or-treating until I was sixteen; that year some of my friends and I just took a couple of five-year-olds around a neighborhood. I still dressed up; it was awesome. I love trick-or-treating. Always have. And I don't see any reason to stop now, heh.
5. I would be wrist cutter, because he's so damn sexy. *laughs* I just had to say it before he did. And HC, I thought you were funny. / I don't know how I would be. There are any number of people whose lives I would like to experience for a day...with their permission, I suppose. It would be a bit rude just to...ah, forget it. It's hypothetical, anyway. Shy, I suppose. Or Ginny, Nerdsy, Ben, Dan L... Anyone I've become friends with, really. I don't know. Sometimes I think I'd give anything to have someone else's life, but I know everyone has their own things to deal with, heh.
6.
Originally posted by Manic I remember winning a costume contest in 7th grade for "most original." I was Alvin Seville. You know, the chipmunk. "Alvin and the Chipm--" ah, nevermind. Kids today.
I used to love that show. I want to go as Damia or someone like that this year. (McCaffrey books, eh.) I've always liked the "streak of white hair" thing. Rogue is cool too, although one of my friends was talking about dressing as her for Spirit week. I could go as a Digimon character, whee....
7. This is our Homecoming week. Our schedule this year is Monday: Pajama Day. Tuesday: Crazy Hair and Clash Day. Wednesday: Twin Day. Thursday: Costume Day. Friday: Spirit Day. (Wear purple and gold.) We actually have a lot of people participating, which is interesting, I guess. I've never done anything in the past, but I guess I'm going to dress as "twins" with one of my friends tomorrow. So, we'll see. The funniest day I remember was "Dress Like a Teacher Day," which was just a lot of fun. I got to put together the yearbook page for that, heh.
8.
Originally posted by Ben And Sara, as long as you eventually get yourself a Crest, I suppose it's okay that you don't have one now. But be sure that you think of something, we don't want Sorkamon to be all alone when everyone else is going Ultimate.
I can't decide whether to kick you, or fall over laughing. Grr. Wouldn't want history to repeat itself, now, would we?
9.
Originally posted by PoisonTongue What angle are we viewing the Knights from? What perspective are we taking? What interpetive stance? Feminist approach? Royalist? Marxist?
*stares* I'm just saying, Raiha as a sexy jester adds about twenty "F-ed up" points to any group. Anyway. Tony, 'scuse my blatant ignorance, but what the monkey is that? It looks like some sort of demon-spawn rabbit-spider. Meep.
10. You could go as a fried egg. *tilts head* I don't know how you would go about doing that, but if you pulled it off, it would be very amusing. Or what was that quote from the Casper movie...Wrap yourself in tinfoil and go as a leftover. *laughs* And PoisonTongue: Wouldn't that make the title even more appropriate, then?
11.
Originally posted by PoisonTongue Why include the "F-ed"?
With Raiha as a sexy white jester? I think it's warranted. :toothy:
12. I've never been exceptionally creative in my costumes, to be honest. I usually just go to a thrift shop and look around. Eventually I figure out some kind of theme, and go with that. One year I was an autumn/dryad/spririt/thingy. That was fun. A couple years ago, one of my school's theme days for Homecoming week was Dress Like a Teacher Day. It was hilarious. ^_^ I have to agree with Poisontongue, if there's a distinctive character at your school, go for the impersonation thing. One of our theology teachers ("Pastor") is a self-proclaimed loud, obnxious, messy old man. He always has a briefcase and wears old tweed jackets, calls people "Dr. [insert last name], and has a stick he swings around during classtime. Weird teacher, but the perfect victim for impersonations. Anyway, if there's someone you can dress up as so that people will recognize who you are, go for it.
13. Circéus! That was you?! I have about thirty of your crests saved somewhere, because I thought they were so cool, heh. *grins* I should've known it was you the second I saw Tempomon, ergh. Heh, small world. *grins* Let's see...Crest...Crest... Must...resist...urge...to....use....crest...of....dreams... *grins at Ben* [strike]Okies, Canta's designated crest is Harmony. [/strike] Oh, wait, dangit...I'm not using Canta. Gah! Must life be so hard? Well, *glances at old page of crests* I dunno, which one fits Tally and 'Mica? Eh. Ben, we're not really going to need this until we find it in the story, right? Can I just deal with it then? I don't know how Tally's gonna turn out yet.
14. Yes, please. It's pleasant to have the different fonts/colors/sizes. I think everyone can sacrifice a little uniformity for it. I mean, as long as people aren't posting size 72 font, I don't see any problem with it. The person whose site they are posting at can delete the posts if they're eyesores.
15.
Originally posted by maladjusted ...and I loved those ducky-looking things. :P
Yes! I love the ducky-looking-things! *laughs* When I first saw them, I was like, "It's a giant duck totoro!" It was so funny. ^_^ I also like the Radish Spirit. Just the tone of voice Lin (Lin? Was that her name, I can't remember!) said it in: "The radish spirit," made me laugh. It was great. The paper things freaked me out. You wouldn't think paper could be dangerous, but on the other hand, imagine getting thirty-thousand papercuts. Ouch.
16. Something else I find myself saying is muy spiffendo. Meaning, uh, "very spiffy." It's fun. ^_^
17. I think any conversational merit this thread had was exhausted last month. Topic closed.
18. Question answered....topic closed.
19. Did you ever turn your profile on in the first place? The number of myO members recently dropped from 5,000-ish to 1500-ish. So...perhaps your account was deleted? I don't know why, but that seems like a feasible explanation.
20. Wow, this is really disjointed. / Name: Tally. Age: 14 Digivice: Yes, please. Rookie/Digimon: Amicamon. Attacks: Oh, I don't know. Let's try "Feather Wind." Digivolutions: Amica's champion is Sorkamon, who looks....well, she looks like a champion-level Amica. I have one Arphyxmon listed as an Ultimate. Picture some cross between an Archaeoptryx and a Phoenix. Her traditional mega level form is Kyrjamon (Keer-ee-ah). "Kyrja" is taken from "Valkyrie" so make of that what you will. Description: Eh...I'll edit for this. Bio: Tally's kinda shy, but Amica's friendliness may rub off on her. She can be awkward in social situations, but does her best. Sometimes it's just easier to run away. She's got a quiet sort of courage, which shows itself in her determination. I feel so cliched writing this stuff, ergh. Digimon's Personality: Amica is cheerful and, as her name implies, friendly. She and Tally only met recently, but are becoming friends. Amica can have a short temper, but she won't hold a grudge. Digimon Description: Amica's in the attachment. She looks sorta like a bear (or a monkey?) dressed up as a bird. Subsequent evolutions are less clumsy and more powerful, etc.
21.
Originally posted by shineigami I include monkeys in a lot of my reactions . I used to do them everyonce in a while , just thought about them , then later , if I got an emotion I couldn't get words fer fast nuff I'd just use the first thing on my mind . monkeys . I use " wut in the nine monkeys ? " or just " wu the monkeys ?" fer short , which I said instead of " wut the heck ? " and " sweet mother of monkey ! " for something thats good or mouthwatering .... " so how about them monkeys ? " when I can't think of something . like instead of " how bout them broncos ? "and I know theres at least three more I can't think of ..... but this is normal ..... right?
Perfectly so. ^_~ I do that sometimes, so do a couple of my friends.
22. I really enjoyed this movie. The animation was great, and I really liked Chihiro. I thought she was a strong character. I didn't think she was too whiney. *tilts head* She reminded me of, well, me. I really liked No-Face, before he went all
psycho and started eating people.
He seemed lonely, and sad. But he liked Chihiro, and wanted to help her. *grins* If you could hear the way that was supposed to sound, it would be very deliberate, child-like speech. The way Chihiro kept curling up when she was very upset made me smile. I do the same thing. / I really liked the "susuwatari" or whatever you call them--soot sprites! In Kamaji's room. Heh. I loved My Neighbor Totoro, and seeing the soot sprites again made me laugh out loud. I just really enjoyed this movie.
23.
Originally posted by anatema On October 11th I take my SATs...
Me, too. I think I'm the only one in my whole school who's taking them, ergh. (Small school, and most colleges around here only ask for ACT results.) I guess I'm looking at studying some kind of foreign language, although I don't know what. *tilts head* I'm to have all my applications in by the end of November, which leaves...not very long. I dunno. I also have to get my grades because I want to study in America for a semester. Sucks to be me... *goes to re-take Baka's friend-test*
24. "and I have EVERY intention of finishing it !" You sound just like me, I swear... Tomokato, heh. Samurai Cat Goes to Hell was a seriously messed-up book. -- Titles, huh. I know I have hundreds of phrases I've just written down as potential titles for something, but I can't for the life of me remember any of them right now.
25.
Originally posted by Leh Your joke wasn't funny. At all.
It got a smile out of me. wrist cutter's made me laugh out loud, heh. My current favorite joke is Chemistry-related. So, yeah. If you don't get it (and, well, you probably won't) don't feel too bad, and don't ask me to explain it. Google will give you an answer if you look hard enough. --- So Dr. Heisenberg is drving down the road, and he's pulled over by a policeman. "Do you know how fast you were going?" the officer demands. "No," Heisenberg replies, "but I know where I am." heh.
