Originally posted by vegeta rocker Game Cube is more for kids man! What would you buy a a child? A ps2 or GC? I like ps2 but some of the titles aren't for kids. Then they went and cel shaded link. they have lost me forever.
That is the most stereotypical (i stress "typical") thing anyone can say about the current game market, a system is for whatever type of people who want it!

OK, in the Legend of Zelda:Link's Awakening, how could you become a true thief (the actual steps)
-
Id have to say my favorite is Sega, because of (except for a very, very small few) all their games were fresh, new, exciting games, and they do a good job of mixing old and newschool type stuff into the games, such as Sonic, NiGHTS, and Samba De Amigo things appearing in PSO, and the other way around with PSO item boxes appearing in a level of SA2B (man i got excited when i saw one! its not that amazing, i know, but it just seems cool when you first see it before finding out.....)

???? I posted a question........where is it???
-
Just imagine if the Phantasy Star series had continued....., i mean it started out (in many ways) better than FF, and like i said, if it had continued growing from the world they created, it would be, the uh..., BEST RPG?! Maybe, if it kept getting better, im sure it would be able to easily hold that title, but even though its been a long time since PS IV came out, SEGA has been honing their RPG skills......also, who would develope it if it did happen.....Overworks made the original PS games, but Sonic Team makes the PSO series.......???
-
My favorite episode would have to be either the Sacrificial Lamb of the Venomous Escape from Hell(where do they get these names?) or the Bowling episode
-
is that the same as the graphics? or is like 128-bit graphics a different measurement? If its the same thing, than its 8-bit!
-
OK Ok, this might not be too hard, but its all i could think of...... In Zelda:Link's Awakening, what was the one way you could become a true thief?
-
The mini game you get for beating RE0 (since i beat it....) is Leech Hunter Edit:I misspelled leech, "leach" hahaha stupid!:toothy:

That sucks,...........my lil brother messed up my first gamecube by scratching the lens with a crayon........someone, i dont know who exactly but i think it was.....thepik......was a little aggressive while they were putting a game in and thats how my second gamecube was messed up, man im on my third gamecube and ive learned to A: hide it from little sibblings and B: only let yourself put and remove game CDs......you should have asked for a waranty on top of the GCN when you wanted one.......you could have got one for bout 2 years at BestBuy
-
Also Nintendo has nothing to do with AOL users not getting on with GCN, its not a compatibility issue. Its a little thing called "sublimable(whatever the spelling is...) advertising"...They make you use their program to advertise to you, but what keeps you from making a connection in Dialup Networking and setting the username/password/numbers? Well they put a feature in the program that turns they password/username that you think is your real one and turn it into a new one using encrypting type patterns....really, you can go on with aol on your modem, you just have to find out what your REAL username and REAL password.....although now they have probably figured out that people are doing it and are making the servers check to see if you are actually connecting with AOL or not.........I just think its stupid that you pay so much a month, then they still advertise to you....
Originally posted by Charles Plus, Nintendo has created a console that is developer friendly, which leads to a greater variety in third party games and more timely releases. I found that PSX games released several months before their N64 counterparts. Now, the gap is nonexistent for the most part with cross platform releases.
Exactly, Gamecube is the most easy system to develope for, but even though that is true, some developers (ALOT really!) stick to PS2 cuz its been out longer and they know it better, and XBOX is like programming for windows so PC developers are already good, but in GCN you can make the best games, and its just that they are too lazy to try to learn how to make games for it, instead they stick to what they already know, i guess they dont want to try to be the best, if your not trying for perfection, you might as well not try!:flaming:

I started this topic to talk about nintendo in a non insulting manner, and then people start complaining..... Also i have seen people give examples of Nintendo giving games that arent even made by Nintendo..........(whats up with that?) and your posts bout them giving us all these other games are exaclty what i was talking bout, they give us good quality titles, yes but are they what we asked for? no.....I know they are the designers and we are not, so we dont have to get a say in the developement, but we ARE the consumers and we know what we want to buy, so i think we do need a Poke'Mon 3D game, and some other sequels to games that they left open ended/unanswered....
-
Yeah but they made the game so well so that a slow connection only affects others and items, not yourself, as in you can still kill stuff and walk around, and the game doesnt go slow like some games (i have no idea why the fps goes slow when the connection does)

Gaming The Addiction That is Phantasy Star Online...
hiachi replied to Subversive's topic in Noosphere
yeah, are they going to do away with bleeping out cuss words in text, because they cant stop it from the mic, and see i dont get 2 people are talking to each other and the other two people are talking to each other, how they gonna know who's who, AND im pretty sure mic chatting isnt available in lobbies cuz that would sound like a school cafeteria and nobody wants that...... -
Originally posted by Desbreko Where did you hear that? Last I heard, Square was going to keep the main series on the PS2, and have a new series (Crystal Chronicles) on the GCN. It would be really nice if the main series games were also released on the GCN, though.
No, every game they make AFTER Crystal Chronicles is going to be on GCN and PS2, which will not include FF X-2 or XI since they will be out BEFORE Crystal Cronicles
-
Well, on the topic of exclusives (even tho this isnt an exclusive....) Im happy that from Final Fantays Crysta Chronicles and forward, Square will make all their RPG's on GCN as well as PS2!!!
-
Well i have both The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages and Seasons, and both those games look great, and they also have a CAPCOM logo in the opening........hmmm......and those games were made bout 2 years ago....so capcom and nintendo's relationship should have grown a lot since then!

Mister Mosquito was originally on the Dreamcast, stuck in Japan, but i guess the people who made that game figured out that the had a market for the game when they saw all the imports, and they brought it to PS2
-
i dont understand bout the game companies and importing what they think of games that are too "japanese" or too "wacky", its just dumb because when the decide not to localize to america because it "wont be popular" people start to import it like mad........its just dumb if they havent figured out that they do have a market here for those wacky games
-
thats true but that doesnt have much to do with a PS V game other than the sequel topic........
-
I mean there are lots of examples of when we ask for something but they give us something else......Heres a good example: Poke'Mon, it was the coolest virtual pet/RPG game on the market. Gamers thought, (after N64 was released) that Nintendo could make the franchise better by making a Poke'Mon World game, which would be on the N64; in otherwords, a real 3D game but still the great fun virtual pet RPG game we know and love.......Instead the do a ol' 180 and give us Poke'Mon Stadium.....yes it was 3D, but it wasnt quite what we wanted.......so we keep asking....and we get Poke'Mon Snap......well it has the poke'mon in their habitats, but its still not quite what we've been asking for. We ask them again, "Please give us a true Poke'Mon game thats also 3D", and we get tadada: "Poke'Mon Stadium 2"......what are they thinking?! We ask one more time, really i think its out of sarcasm cause we know what we'll probably get........and we get "Hey You Pikachu!" well that one........they got the virtual pet part right, but wheres the rpg?! Man, i wish i could see more sequels and not spinoffs, or at least no spinoffs in expense of sequels, like mario got spinoffs, golf, tennis, party, kart, but they still gave us a sequel, Super Mario Sunshine....... I just wanted to let my feelings out......:nervous:
-
but those online capabilities seem to only have been available in japan, like Pokemon Crystal was online in japan, but not in America.......why nintendo, why?
-
The best RPG ever, or atleast the year of release, in my opinion would be the result if SEGA/SonicTeam decided to make a TRUE sequel to the Phantasy Star series. Don't get me wrong, they should keep the Phantasy Star Online series also, and keep making that better. Infact, that would make the game even better. Say, in the sequel, it was a true offline game, with great stories, but create-a-character was still there, and maybe somehow it could be compatible with Phantasy Star Online Episode I&II, that would be one of the coolest concepts to an RPG.........an offline and online version of the same game, one with a story, one with a much greater story, and COMPATIBILITY BETWEEN THEM!!!! I know posting this will probably have no affect on wheter SEGA does make a new PS game, but.........that would be a great, great, GREAT :D RPG!!!!!
