Yu-Gi-Oh: Rate My Deck

Personally I would ditch the Spirit Reaper and swap in another D.D. Warrior Lady, or at lease a Cyber Jar, that would at least increase your chances of getting better monsters out. It all just depends on your type of playing. I really can't say much except that.

Cyber Pod in control? LOL, thanks but no thanks. I don't feel like replenishing my opponent's options especially if I'm paying 1000LP per for Confiscate and Mischevious Twin Duo.

Soul-Hunting Spirit is a great staller, and defender, no way I would take it out, and I'm thinking of adding a DDVD so I can't take it out.

Besides 1-2 DWG will get it done, not to mention *points to Calling Reinforcements* to get DWG at any time. Thanks, for the try, anyone else?

Also, why Fiber Jar? I can see its use in most decks, but when you've spent the whole duel trying to decrease your opponent's options, it doesn't seem like you'd just want to restart the whole game and give them their cards back. Plus, while Demon Twins & Confiscate are good cards, I wouldn't want to pay for their effect twice.

Because if I didn't have Fiber Pod and MY options and hand is dwindling down, what better option than to reset?

Unlike the hordes of English players, control decks don't rely on power but controlling the field and opponent's hand. Besides a Fiber for me is a win win, say this as the example:

Opponent has Psycho Shocker out and just summoned a Giant Orc. Due to my lower monster ratio, I'm down to a 1-2 card hand, with no damage control in hand, and my traps negated. APS hits Fiber Pod. Opponent can't summon, and can only set m/t's. Next turn I have a direct attack.

Its only as a last resort, like it or not, there will be situations where I will be outrushed and I might be running out of options. I'd take Fiber over Cyber in this situation because Cyber gives my opponent what I don't want, even more rushers and even more hand advantage.

Already sideboarded. Its a bit of a situational cards, and I won't always be running low hands or be and a hand disadvanage.

Well, first, here's the final update of my Dark Crisis era Warrior deck, Gettysburg. Any help for it would be greatly appreciated.

Monsters:
Jinzo
Maurading Captain x2
Exiled Force
Goblin Attack Force
DD Warrior Lady x2
Breaker the Magical Warrior
Witch of the Black Forest
Sangan
Amazon Archer x2
Terrorking Archfiend
Blindly Loyal Goblin x2

Total monsters: 15

Traps:
Waboku
Call of the Haunted
Imperial Order
Destruction Ring

Total Traps: 4

Spell:
Monster Reborn
Premature Burial
Regeki
Dark Hole

Painful Choice
Harpie's Feather Duster
Heavy Storm
Mystical Space Typhoon x3
Reinforcements of the Army x2
The Warrior Returning Alive x3
Riryoku
Mirage of Nightmares
Nobleman of Crossout x2

Total Spells: 21

Same strategy as before; added a Terrorking Archfiend to be pulled onto the field by the Captain's effect and do his lil' Mini-Hades thang. Dropped Donny Z for a second DD Warrior Lady. Dropped Cyber Jar for my new Tinzo.

Now, something different; I'm trying to make my Light-deck competative, so I've decided to alter it to house the Chaos Soldier-Messenger of Creation. I've added the most useful Dark-type monsters; you'll see.

Tribute monsters:
Choas Soldier-Messanger of Creation
Jinzo
Kaiser Glider

Monsters:
Thunder Nyan Nyan x2
DD Warrior Lady x2
Reflect Bounder
Asura Priest
Witch of the Black Forest
Sangan
Giant Orc
Breaker the Magical Warrior
Roulette Barrel x2
Electric Snake x2 (I wanted to run two of my favorite cards ever, Execution-Makyura and Blade Knight, but who knows when they'll cross the other pond? until then, I run Hand-D's worst enemy, Electric Snake).

Total Monsters: 17

Traps:
Waboku
Spell Shield Type 8
Destruction Ring
Ray of Hope
Judgement of Anubis
Call of the Haunted

Total Traps: 6

Spell:
Monster Reborn
Pot of Greed
Regeki
Dark Hole
Harpie's Feather Duster
Change of Heart
Graceful Charity
Premature Burial
Mystical Space Typhoon x3
Luminous spark x3
Terraforming
Heavy Storm
Riryoku

Total Magic: 17

Total Cards: 40

So...ratings? Fixes? It's a first effort.

TKA's text states that it cannot be "Normal Summoned" without an Archfiend on the field. However, the Maurading Captain's special ability allows me to Special Summon any level four or lower monster from my hand when MC is normal summoned. Because this deck is designed to swarm, I'll most likely be using the warrior Returning Alive cards to bring the Caopt. back to my hand, and when I smmon one of them, they can bring the Terrorking along.

I had DoB: Elma when I was under the mistaken impression that it would return to my hand if the monster it was equipped to was destroyed. I was later informed that this was not the case.

Well, here are two deck themes I've been working on. The first one is quite original and I'd like to think I've covered all weaknesses. So far in top of the line comeptition they've dominated and that means they'd mos likely crush any competition here. So if you can find anything wrong, please feel free and point it out. Back up your statement with facts please.

Deck Explanation: Pretty standard DDVD control. It uses DDVD to take out most of the enemy rushers rushers and minimize the opposing hand. I then support that with Misc. Twin Duo and Steadfast Guard. Plently of DDVD targets, including D-Sanctaury, while maintaining the light/dark ratio for CED to be summoned at will. With the opponent's major monsters gone, CED at 3000/2500 will go through the opponent like a hot knife through butter. Combine that with his genocide effect, dominance. Sideboard conversions are based on situation, but standard ships are to a Necrophia control, Chaos control, or standard control variant.

Deck Explanation: As good as a control deck archtype will get in the current environment. This was where the JP meta was before the psychotic Chaos twins came out, so it pretty much covers everything from hand control to as much field control as I put. Keeping hand advantage was easy with Mirage and so on. Sideboard is set for any situation.

As for the monster zone, I am SICK and tired of the whole Spear Dragon sucks bla bla, its the best trampler Eng has, as Eng doesn't have Iggy or Enraged Mino. Goblin Strike Team is the best one-shot rusher I can get in to pick off opponent rushers.

*Finds old post and zaps it* O_O........ I was like that?

Edit:Inuyasha7575, get a type of theme and build your deck around it. Not to be mean or anything, but your deck is very out of focus. Go to the Otaku Yu-Gi-Oh page and you will find some helpul hints(I guess I should go there too ^_^;;;;)

Here is a deck I helped youngest brother make. I think it is a beat down/ burner deck........ but I really don't know. He made most of it, and I just took out the cards I thought he didn't need.

Machine Deck of Youngest Brother!

5+ Monsters

Jinzo x1

4- Monsters

Man-Eater Bug x1

Gaint Soldier of Stone x1
Roulette Barrel x1
Spirit of the Harp x2
Zolga x1
Island Turtle x2
Overdrive x1
Inpachi x1
Cannin Soldirer x1
Big eye x1
Magicain of Faith x1
Hwlping Robo for Combat x1
Prevent Rat x1
Witch of the Black Forest x1
Oni Tank T-35

Magic and Trap
Scapegoat x2
Dark Hole x1
Ekibyo Drakmord x1
Morale Boost x1
7 Completed x2
Dian Keto the Cure Master x3
Change of Heart x1
Thunder of Ruler x1
Paralyzing Potion x1
Michizure x1
Pineapple Blast x1
Monster Reborn x1
Blast with Chain x1
Sword of Deep-Seated x1
Soul Exhange x1
Waoku x1
Pigonholing Books of Spell x1
Machine Conversion Factory x2
Enchanted Javelin x1
Robbin' Goblin x1

I think it has 43 cards. Most of the traps only work for one turn, so if he uses them before he plays Jinzo he is okay. Not very tornament playable I know, just for fun play.

Okay, I haven't posted a deck in quite awhile. Anywho here is my dragon deck, I think its a little bit in the iffy stage, but no clue.

Heavy Storm

**********************************************

Basically its a Lord Of Dragon deck, so I don't want to hear "Oh you should drop Lord of D. blah blah blah." I know that having a Sasuke Samurai in the main deck and Side Deck is a little bit of :nervous: but I might swap the Warrior Lady with another Sasuke, but if not then meh. Warrior Lady is for Monster removal as fast as I can get her out, Twin Headed Behemoth is there for pure annoyance, though he soon might find a place in the side deck and Sinister Serpent may make its new home in the main deck.

Off that rant, any suggestions?

Guys, really; is it too much to ask that you rate the deck of the poster above you before you when you post? We've got seven decks with no ratings, with the exception of Ayokano. This is a bit ridiculous.

Alucardfire: While I personally hate the CED, combining him with the DDVD was a very good idea. I can't see anything wrng with it.

For the English deck, I would definatly main-deck the Magical Scientist, considering his versitility. However, I can't think of what to drop in his place.

M_D: For your American deck; I can't tell what the theme is, and if you're not willing to remove any cards, then there's no point in adressing it. BTW, the Labryith Walll/Raregold Armor combo won't be effective at all, seeing as any smart opponent would simply choose not to attack.

Your Euro-light deck is better, but, as I'm don't know Euro restrictions, I'm not really able to say a lot. First, though, ditch Summoned Skull, Spear Cretin, mask of Darkness and Invader of the Throne. Add three Luminous spark field cards. Add another Neo, and something that the Shining Angel can search for; perhaps and Ancient elf.

Light decks weren't strong Stateside until the release of Labryith of Nightmare, so I'm afraid you're at a disadvantage.

Inuyasha7575: I can't see what you're trying to do. If it's beatdown, remove the Burner cards. You also have too many traps; replace them with Magic/Spell cards.

Ayokano: It's an okay Mech deck, but there's several commons that could help: a few Guardians of the Throne Room and Robotic Knights could really help. Limmiter Removals could also help it greatly. Add a Sangan and some more Machines.

Domon: First, the tribute monsters: drop a Blue Eyes. Then, drop one Lord of D; your whole strategy doesn't need to revolve around him. Also, swap the Gemini Elf for the Luster Dragon.

Well, seeing as how you're running three Necrovalley's I'd side deck Chaos Command Magician, but yes I definetly agree, put in Breaker, but since you're going for a spellcaster theme I'd also suggest putting in G-Elf, but if its a Spellcaster/dark type deck then put in a couple of Skilled Dark Magicians.

All I can say is add another Terraforming, Breaker, use Cosmo Queen for a heavy-hitter, Mage Power, United We Stand and add a Magic Cylinder. Two things I see should probably be taken out, Witches Apprentice because by the time she comes out she will get killed and one Rite of Spirit for the Cylinder. All in all, the best gravekeepers deck I've seen.

Gravekeepers shouldn't really have need of a big high level monster like Cosmo Queen, since they can swarm to such great effect...

Of the 3 you're stuck deciding on, I'd reccomend going for Chief; it is theme, and if you can get him onto the field, you can begin to swarm and regain the use of your graveyard...

Drop:

1x Witch's Apprentice
1x Royal Tribute
1x Magic Reflector

Add:

1x Breaker the Magical Warrior
1x Terraforming (speed)
1x Heavy Storm

Look, the theme for the American deck is beatdown. And yes I am willing to remove cards, just not very happy about it, unless I am given a good reason for the removal.

Conserning the Labyrinth Wall/Raregold Armour combo, and then I won't be under attack, so.....

As for the European deck, I might keep Summoned Skull. as it is a strong card, until I find something better. I agree with the rest, though. And the deck only has around 31 cards in it, if I remove three. Any suggestions? (Only European cards, sorry!!)
