There are better ways of protecting your Cocoon than that. Might be an idea to try a Messenger of Peace or 2- stops their monsters killing your Cocoon, and you can choose to stop paying it once Moth's formed. The Pitch-Black Power stone is kind of flexible in this deck seeing as how I could swap a card wit Miracle Restoring and then activated Power Stone with Restoring and get Buster Blader or DM back once I fuse them. Also, I'm curious to why you have Paladin of White dragon when you have no Blue Eyes? Or even a Buster Blader without a dragon type deck? Replace Blader with Blue eyes if you want a 2 tribute big hitter. Buster Blader does not get powered up by the controlling player's dragon. And like I sid I threw this for a tourney about 20 min before it started. Also, alot of people are running dragons were I live. To comment on your deck three things come to mind. The first being why do you have a skilled dark with no D.Magician. Second, I woud say to put your Torrential Tribute in the side deck. Why, because you will want to keep as many monsters as possible to keep control. And last, why no Dark Necrfear? A 1900 atk monster ^_^ As for Necrofear, she's side decked. I use either her or Helpoemer, depending on who I'm against. Most of the time she is in my deck, but I took her out for now. Torrential Tribute is a must for me, as it keeps the field clear of my opponents mosnters. I rarely have a powerful monster up when I set the card. Snodin Posted November 17, 2003 Share Posted November 17, 2003 Burori, I'd just like to say that I like that you're trying to use rarely-used cards like Last Warrior and Relinquished (he may not be rarely-used, but I don't hear a lot of reports about Relinquished decks), but as far as the rest of your deck goes, it doesn't look focused. I may be wrong in saying this, but I think you need more monsters that share a common thing- attributes, types, stuff like that. It doesn't always work, but decks like that are just easier to control. It does look like you have a backup Water strategy; maybe you should focus more on that. Add another Legendary Ocean, and maybe try to throw in Gravity Bind or something. Replace Enchanted Javelin with it, if you don't mind. That might give you an edge. ...It's just a suggestion. Anyway, here's a question that seems a bit stupid, but I'd like cleared up- any monsters with the effect of going into defence mode after attacking such as Goblin Attack Force and Giant Orc, is that effect cancelled if your opponent has used Stop Defence? On it's own, Gradius is a HORRIBLE monster. Look for Luminous Sparks, United We Stand, Mage Power, and Mirror Wall. Chuck the Cyclon Lasers and Snake Fangs for them. The point of Gradius's options is to either summon out a big monster fast, or to take advantage of Equip cards. Slap a United we Stand/Mage Power on the primary Gradius, and your whole force gets the boost. That's the key to making Gradius dangerous. 2) TOO MANY MAGIC CARDS! You have 28 M/T cards, but only 19 Monsters. That's terribly unbalanced. At least cut the Bait Doll and the Block Attacks. 3) Replace the Ryu-Kishin Clowns with x3 X-Head Cannon. They are light Machines, like Gradius, so they use all of the powerups that Gradius can. Also search for the Cyber and Fiber Jars. Those two cards are very imporant cards in case things go badly. After all, once the Gradius cards are destroyed, you have a problem. Use Fiber Jar to reset the duel and get back those key cards can save your neck. There are lost of other things...but I'm tired and you really should figure out the rest by yourself, anyway. -------------------------------- My Gravekeeper's deck! Use Royal Tribute to empty both hands of monsters to eliminate competition, and keep them eliminated using Necrovalley. There are many ways to find monsters to tribute normally (Gravekeeper's Spy's flip effect, Snatch Steal, Change of Heart, Rite of Passage) so getting out a Chief , the Guardian Sphinx, or Jinzo shouldn't be much of a problem. What I'm getting at is this: I don't see how anyone could care [i]that[/i] much about a card game. You know, to the point where they get angry at someone's signature on a message board and feel the need to post in violation of a very simple rule. If you know you're better than he is, then you shouldn't even be bothered to care about a meaningless signature. It's called being an adult. According to Shy's thread, I should have dismissed you from the site for the first post. Yet, I chose to look the other way because of your long history with the site and contributions to TheOtaku.com. It's a mistake I won't make again, I'm afraid. What a shame.
