Because then you can just die. They're both archers..wear green tunics, have pointed ears, and blonde hair (Link from Oot, etc). They are light footed and very quick... unlike Link, who is slow (and dies alot; with me ;)). But Link can kill lots and LOTS of bad evil things... In long range combat, Legolas would whoop Link all over the place with his bow and arrow, but at short range combat, I can't really see Legolas' two daggers putting up much of a fight with the biggoron sword, can you? And is everyone forgetting that Link also has a Bow & Arrows, and is also a dang good shot. (at least I always am when I'm playing). And Link may not be as quick, but he's also carrying a buttload of cool items, such as the Hookshot and Boomerang, not to mention a sword and shield. And about the eyesight/hearing thing, it's never said anything about the Hylian races's sight, but the Hylians do have dang good hearing. Infact, they have such good hearing that they can hear telepathic messages from other Hylians. I'd say that's pretty good! I say Link is some sort of Elf, he's got the ears, plays some sort of flute, uses a bow... ect. but he ages fast, so he must be a half-elf.... that's what my bro. and his friends say at least... lol. and elves are cute, so I'm neutral. Link has always seemed like this shy guy who is too scared to say a word to women. Good for long-range combat. He could probably fire more than one arrow at a time with that thing. lol But in close-range combat, he COULD whack Link over the head with his bow... lol Nah... Link would probably slice the thing in half with the Biggoron Sword before Legolas knew what happened... Problem with the Biggoron Sword is that it frikin' breaks everytime you hit it against something that can't be killed. In my case, a wall. :D Hee... Anywayz, I agree with SS Trunks on this one...
