1. err, just a note: I though Stitch was Experience 626
2.
Originally posted by Solo Tremaine I know we'll start running out of Magic/Trap cards for good effects to use soon, but there are still more.
IF that ever happen, I'll just make a new list LOL. And I'm not sure I get your idea... SWould that be some kind of exorcism?
3. Can I have a go at describing my habilities? I'll be editing my profile right now
4. Ok, third and last monster removal poll is monster destroyer, the feared ones (ok not all of them :bluesweat). Flip-wise, heck, Penguin Soldie hands down. I badly prefer my opponent's Summoned in his than in the graveyard... Non-flip, Dream Clown is the nicest, though it's always fun to spring a Shadow of Eyes with a Crass Clown.
5. (so, basically, we are in a world inhabited with the actual monsters? I like that.) Name: Mared Monster: Dream Clown Gender: Male Description: Bio: Currently fool at the royal court of Earth realm, he is actually an agent of a mysterious (and mystic? :D) underground organization looking out to thwart the return of the Dark powers Habilities Lightning Blade - Mared normally uses a sword to fight, he can have lightning faling on it when he raises it in the air and call for it. That lightning can be redirected toward enemies afterward, and (evidently) give energy to thunder-types or kill almost instantly water attribute monsters. Offerings to the Dead: That would probably be some kind of Oracle with the help of the spirits of the dead. Here is a very short list of nice japanese cards to pick on (none from the future Legacy of Darkness, mind you): Book of the Sun Book of the Moon Riddle of the Traveler Candle of Fate Dark Tutor Time Capsule Black Snake Sickness The Symbol of Courage Imperial Sacrifice Curse of Aging Thunder Break Chalkboard Erasing Trap Blood of Dragons Invasion of Territory Torture Wheel Toxin Tubes Ante Battle Raregold Armor Metalsilver Armor Sacrificial Doll (Original list was waaaay longer :laugh) There are so much more, have a look at Edo's site for them ;)
6. It's definitely impressive. A bit more of actual plot between the would be nice, though. Maybe that's just me.
7. First I heard a lot about it from a friend of mine. I happened to start watching it and just fell in love. It was somewhere around the end of school year. Then, there's been the card game, which I've played online since september/october, and styarted to buy just after christmas. I got in the manga pretty (French version, mind you), but I was hooked in a second.
8. Hard core members would probably built up a replacement forum. I know of some forums who did it, though only said Hardcore remained to built up the new community.
9. All of that happened in one night? Woah... (Or is it a week... I think I missed a part.)
10. Yup, Injection will probably get DMG off her throne in most English fans' minds. She's scary... a monster with potential attack of 3200 that can attack under both gravity bind AND messenger of peace... Ouf!
11. It's prophesized to contains Struggle of Chjaos, but NOT all of Mythologicalo age, rather various promos/booster chronicle/structure etc. cards, as to not cause disturbances between japanese serie 2 & 3.
12. "Shut up! I play Shield and Sword!" "Uh oh..." Stats reversed on the field. Harpie's Pet Dragon (3000/2700)->(2700/3000) Harpie Lady (1800/1000)->(1000/1800) Harpie lady sister (2600/1200)->(1200/2600) Herakles (2700/2000)->(2000/2700) "And Harpie's Pet Dragon, attack Herakles! Stomping Crash" The dragon stomped on Herakles and destroyed it. (1350->650) "It's my turn, and I first play Coins from Heaven, filling our hands up to five cards. I also play a card face-down and I summon the Wacky Leprechaun, in attack mode!" A small green-clothed imp looked impishly at Kai. "This duel ends now!" Kai yelled, taking his turn. "I don't think so!" Hermes retorted. "Activate Trap: Book of Ages! It sets all life points to what they were three turns ago." (650/2800)->(1800/3100) "You wanna prolong your suffering? It's up to you, I suppose! Harpie's Pet Dragon, destroy this leprechaun! Stomping Crash!" As usual, the leprechaun got a coin of of thin air and flipped. It landed on a leaf. (2700/3000)->(1350/1500) The leprechaun quickly strangle the pet dragon with it's own leash. (3100->2950) "How did that happen?" "Monsters attacking the Wacky Leprechaun have their attack halved." Hermes explained. "I summon the Winged Wiseman Farcos, then I end my turn." (1700/1200)->(2200/800) "Now it is mine, and I lay two cards face-down. I also summon the Trap Master, destroying your Mirror Wall!" Trap Master (500/1100) walked cautiously up to Kai's monsters. When the Mirror Wall activated, it struck it with a tuning-fork. The wall shattered. "Now, my leprechaun, attack the Harpie Sister! Golden Clover! (2950->2650) Your Turn, Kai." "I love these words... Winged Wiseman, attack the Trap Master!" Unfortunately, the attack entered a oh-so-familiar horn and struck back Kai. (2650->1550) "This is exactly the reason I think revenge and anger doesn't belong in the game of Duel Monsters. It always ends up causing stupid mistakes." Hermes sighed. "We will see! Your trap isn't going to protect agaisnt a second attack! Harpie Lady, destroy Trap Master!" "Activate card, Useless Bargain! It makes my monster's attack the same as his defense!" (500/1100->1100/1100) "Uh?" Kai spurted in surprise as the harpie was destroyed. (1550->1450) "I don't like this, But it has to be done. I sacrifice my Trap Master to summon Hades, King of the Underworld. Using the magic card Last Will, I also summon the Two-Headed Cerberus." Hades: 2450/1600 Two-Headed Cerberus: 1500/1000 "Here goes my locator cards." muttered Kai. "Hades, destroy Farcos! (1450->1200) Then my Wacky Leprechaun goes for your Harpie Sister! (1200->700) And Two-Headed Cereberus, attack him directly! (700->0)" "I failed." Simply said Kai. "You didn't." Hermes said. "You tried, and I think you got over that hatre you had." "Yeah right." Kai snorted. He handed over his Locator cards. "Gotta start over again." "Maybe we'll duel again. I hope this time it will be a better duel." "Me too." Kai said softly. Duel end! Winner: Hermes Kadukeus By way of: knockout Score: 5/0/0 twenty-one locator cards
13. It doesn't? Maybe you should look at srygo's: he produces the patches. I also have both, though I haven't gottten around to use YVD. I have patches for japanese, english and Harry Potter (don't ask :therock:  )
14. (well, this is interesting. I'll use a different deck than the one I used in the Battle cruise. Gotta work that over. It may be rather the same caracter, but I want to use new cards lol)
15. I think I express my self through being a bit wacko. This includes me acting like a 7-years old child around water and looking with delight a little ice formations of melting snow.
16. From what I've known already, I like the last version the more (and even more since I work in 1024*800 ). Besides, you're always saying instead of posting new threads, bringing back already posted ones. okay, this IS a bit old, but still. Diligent member lol, And cloricus, you DID make a small post somewhere on page 2. (just for the heck of it:laugh: )
17. OOC: sorry, have to write it. Battle Blimp is just a part of the finals (with Battle Tower/Island/wathever). During the final,
Yugi (who just won Obelisk from kaiba) wins Ra from malik
. But since this hadn't been out yet, it's up to you I admit. ;)
18. OOC: just a note: after Battle City, Yugi
actually possess all three god cards

19. This is assumed to be a first chapter. Opinions would be appreciated. Planning to post it on FanfictionNET. (and by the by, if you'd mind have a look for corrections, Sara, it'd be very appreciated as well ;)) ****************************** Several big Internet sites have reported close server breakdowns this weeks. A network-sized problem seems to clog data transmissions between large servers. Most noticeably, Amazon and the whole Google network, have been all but impossible to access for the past 12 hours. Many, if not all, of the most popular hosting sites also went berserk, deleting major parts of their accounts. Geocities.com, Free.fr, Angelfire.com and Tripods hostees are desperate, as they are unable to even access their sites to check if they have been deleted. This other catastrophe is striking the dot-com industries at one of... A hand reached out and tuned down the sound. It retreated to the mouse and added text to a picture of stylized blooming flowers. Andrea quickly completed the last of her conceptual work to be presented to her boss that afternoon and saved it. She sighed, stretched and reached for her coffee mug. ?Alright... A last shot of caffeine before printing.? Her shoes brushed on the carpeted floor as she walked out of her cubicle to the coffee maker and pressed the ?expresso? button. The device gurgled happily at being solicited and filled half her mug. She grimaced, and pressed the button a second time, eventually managing to get her mug mostly filled. Even before she walked back to her cubicle, she noticed the sound. A weird digital rustling that made the hair on the back of her neck stand on end. She looked cautiously inside the room, fearing to see some ?blue screen of death?, and her eyes widened at the sight of her screen. She would have screamed in frustration, if it weren?t for the fact she had never seen this strange kind of bug. The screen looked like a DNA analyzer gone wild, with binary code flooding across it randomly right to left, top to bottom and vice-versa. ?What the...? the conceptual designer trailed. Andrea blinked and attempted to use the mouse to close the window or something, but the mouse felt different. She slowly turned her head at what once had been a perfectly normal laser mouse. The cord had disappeared, along with the two buttons, and two new ones had appeared on each side. The round part was much flatter, and the center part now had a green-gray screen covered with dark green words. She scrolled with the untouched central button and the words changed. ?No messages? ?Encrypt? ?Hack? ?Data Storage?... The computer suddenly stopped rustling. It took a good ten seconds for Andrea?s ears to retransmit the info to her brain, and she turned back abruptly at the screen. The data had stopped moving, but a white shape was now layered over the code. It seemed vaguely familiar, then she looked back at her ?mouse?. ?No way!? she mumbled. Her world was slowly sinking into insanity. ?What do I have to loose?? She asked to nobody and put the mouse against the screen to check if the shapes were as much identical as they seemed. {All lights disappear, Andrea seems paralyzed. The view pans around her until it comes to her face, then it zooms to her right eye where we can see her still standing in pitch darkness as pressing her ?mouse? against an invisible computer screen, then she start plummeting down...} Andrea blinked a first time, then a second, then a third just to be sure. Nope, she wasn?t in her cubicle anymore. She was terribly ditzy and felt sick. A loud crack came from behind her. She was able to distinguish some kind of tropical wilderness behind the mist in her eyes. ?Okay... No more... coffee for... me.? She mumbled before falling to the ground, unconscious. --- Was it a second later? A minute? An hour? She didn?t know and didn?t care either. She was almost completely conscious now. All I need is to open my eyes and I?ll be back to my cubicle, I?ll see that I was just sleeping a couple of seconds. Then I?ll print those concepts, show them to the boss, and off for the weekend! She smiled. A nice fresh waffle smell was floating in the air and her smile widened, then it hit her like a celeri stick. ?WAFFLES!?? She exclaimed, sitting abruptly. ?Yes, miss, waffles, would you like some?? Casually replied a male voice from the next room. She heard a sound she related to a waffle-iron opening with a puff of vapor. She got up and walked zombie-like out of the room. The next room seemed to be the kitchen. Someone looking like an African shaman from those old cartoons with a gigantic mask over his face was conscientiously cutting something with a meter-long boomerang-shaped sword or something. The blade was dripping red blood, which upon sight finally managed to snap Andrea out of her trance. She yelled and nearly jumped out of her skin. The masked figure fairly did the same, even adding it?s own personal tweak by throwing the sword-thing up. It went stuck straight into the stone ceiling. They both kept yelling for a good 2 minutes until they simultaneously ran out of air. Andrea struck a pose. ?Don?t get near me! I?m black belt (Which was true) and I?m getting out of here and back to my office!? Her ?opponent? put his hands to his hips. Wasn?t it for the mask, she would have sworn he was looking at her amusedly. ?How?? It took her another 10 seconds to realize that she didn?t know where she was and who she was facing. Her brain was definitely NOT appreciative of expresso today. She groaned and took yet another ten seconds to look over her opponent... and really wondered where she actually was. He (from the voice, she could assume it was a he) had a short brown fur all over his body, his chest and belly being white. Bandages covered is overgrown wrists. His feet rather looked like animalistic clawed paws and green hair (she could only assume it was hair) was visible behind the mask and large feathers covering his head. She started shaking when her brain finally registered the fact this was certainly not a human being, confirmed by the simple fact this... thing... had a tail. The mist was coming back before her eyes. In the nick of time, she was fainting again and the ?thing? rushed to catch her before she crashed on the floor. --- It was starting all over again. She just knew it. At least, this time, she knew, or though she knew, a bit of what to expect. The first thing she noticed was a smell of fruits and waffles. Strawberry... That?s what he was cutting. Her memory somehow worked, which was seemingly good news. She moaned and half-opened her eyes. ?There, you had me worried for a little while, miss.? A male, rather comforting voice spoke. She decided to look straight. The mask, the same blue, green and red mask she saw previously. The... person was sitting on a chair by the bed she was in. ?Where am I?? she managed to ask. ?How long have I been out of it and who are you?? ?Well, I?ll reply in order.? Amazingly, the mask didn?t seem to alter the voice in any way. ?You are in Axolotl Node. First time you?ve been out half an hour. Second time, you?ve been out of it for at least two hours. Apparently all this screaming took its toll on you. And last, but not least, your servant is known as Sepikmon.? ?Sepik-what? Axol-what?? She refrained herself from yelling and downed her tone to just a bit loud. Her throat still felt sore from the last time she yelled. ?Sepikmon? He looked closer at her. ?You?re not from around here.? ?That would be the understatement of the century. Sepikman, eh? I must still be out cold and I?m dreaming about Marvel comics or something.? The creature tilted it?s head. Andrea considered it must have been it?s way of staring. ?You definitely are not from here.? He seemed to think a moment. ?You are from the Real World!? Andrea glared back at the thing. Of course she was from, and still in the real world, or at least hoped so. However, some insistent grumbling kept her from snapping at her interlocutor. ?Oh God, I?m hungry.? She muttered. ?I?d have guessed so. I had to eat the first serving of waffles after a while, but those are very fresh.? He grabbed a tray on the nightstand and put it before her. She glimpsed the furniture in the room was all made of stone. She hate hungrily, still watched over by... what was his name again, Sepikmon? Once she was finished, she sat and tried to walk across the room. This time, aside from a slight wobbling, her legs seemed receptive to orders from her brains. She walked to a window across the room. ?Oh, dear, I think I?m not in Canada anymore.? She whispered. Large palm trees shadowed a luxurious vegetations where she recognized yuccas, agaves as well as various orchids. A flat paved road was going straight ahead up to a Mayan pyramid. Small stone building lined the street. A mechanic from some demented mind rolled pass the house she was in. Built from stone and wooden parts, it looked like some vehicle driven by two meter-high frogs with a cornet sprouting from their necks. She blinked, then drunkly walked back to the bed and started sobbing.
20. Nice and nonsensical and funny and ridiculous oh my! But I love it any day.
21. Hermes looked as the eliminated duelist gor down the ship. Among them he noticed Petra, who waved him good luck. He waved back, noticing at the same moment Weevil Underwood kicking at a crab and getting his foot (clad in some sandal) caught. He snickered at the boy's yelling. A manucured hand tapped him on the shoulder. "Yes?" He asked, twirling around. He found a teen with blonde hair and purple eyes looking at him. "They say you've beaten Weevil Underwood and Mako Tsunami? Is it true?" The young man asked. "It is." "Then I want to duel you! I will wager 7 cards, half of those I have!" Hermes stared at him for a second. "I accept your challenge. You are?" "Just call me Kai." "And I am Hermes." They walked up to a closeby arena. there weren't many duels as most people were discussing the eliminations and the way it would affect the outcome of the tournament. "I shall start", announced Kai, "with Birdface, in attack mode!" A humanoid bird with golden and shiny blue armor appeared on his side of the field. (1600/1600) "Then, I will summon... the Cornish Pixies, in attack mode!" A group of blueish cackling imps appeared on his field. (1000/900). "I will also lay two cards face-down and end my turn." "So I draw..." Kai started. "Not so fast! Activate card: Pythie of Delf." A white altar with a high priestess (actually the Lady of Faith card) appeared. She started mumbling incoherent words. "As long as this magic card is active, you must show me each card you draw." "Very well." Kai slapped down the card, which appeared as The Winged Wiseman Farcos, a humanoid grey eagle with rich clothes.(1700/1200) "Now, I play the field card Rising Air Currents!" Strong winds started to blew the field, increasing the Bird Face's attack. (1600/1600)->(2100/1200) "Now, Bird Face, attack the pixies. Blue claws!" The Bird Face tried to swipe at the small fairies, bit as usual, they were now all over the place. Hermes smirked. "No such luck, Kai. The Cornish Pixies can't be attacked by monster of level 4 and up. Now I sacrifice them to summon the Lerne Hydra!" A dragon with nine heads appeared. (2000/2100) "And now, activate Reverse Trap!" The creepy phantom flew across the field, dropping Bird Face's attack dramatically. (2100/1200->1100/2000) "And my Hydra attack! River of Flammes!" (4000->3100) The monster was quickly burnt to a crisp, but from it's cinders emerged a winged and clawed woman. (1800/1300) "What is this??" Hermes asked. "When Bird Face is sent to the cemetery, just like the phoenix, it summons Harpie Lady!" Kai enswered. "There's a problem... Isn't Harpie Lady a 1300 attack monster?" "This is the Shielded Harpie Lady, a different monster." "Oh..." Again, he slapped down the card he just, a red dragon: Harpie's Pet Dragon. (2000/2500) "Now, I equip her with the Rose Whip, increasing her attack and defense by 300!" Harpie Lady slashed the thorned whip across the field. (1800/1300)->(2100/1600) "And with the Elegant Egotist, I create the three Harpie Lady Sisters!" Harpie Lady copied herself into three nearly identical monsters (1950/2100)->(2250/2400)->(2650/2000) "Unfortunately, they can't attack just yet, I have to end my turn." I have seem these moves before Hermes though. "I will switch my Lerne Hydra into defense mode, and set two cards face-down." Kai revealed his newly drawn card as the continuous trap Mirror Wall. "I place one card face-down, then I play Harpie's Feather Duster, destroying both of your set cards." The sisters used their wing to flap the cards away. Hermes growled softly. "I also summon Harpie's Brother. Now, my sisters. destroy his Hydra!" (1800/600)->(2200/200) And here it went. Fortunetely, it was in defense mode. "And Harpie's Brother, attack his life points!" The birdman slashed a Hermes. (4000->1800) "I will set a card, then I summon the Hellish Bear, in defense mode!" Hermes slapped his card down. "Harpie Lady Sisters, destroy his monster!" "Not if I can help it! Hera's Trapped Throne keeps your monster from attacking me!" Hermes retaliated. "I will then summon Harpie Lady, and end my turn." (1300/1400)->(1800/1000) Hermes sighed. "I use the Were Magic card to duplicate my Hellish Bear, and I sacrifice both to summon Herakles!" The great warrior appeared in a flash of light. (2700/2000) "Herakles, attack Harpie's Brother!" Herakles ran up to the birdman, who took flight. A wall suddenly raised from the ground and Herakles ended up bumping into his own reflection. "Mirror Wall! I'm surprised you fell for it, you did saw I had it! It decreases your monster's attack in half." (2700/2000)->(1350/1000) As if he didn't heard, Herakles grabbed Harpie Brother's legs and threw it to the ground before cutting it's head with his sword. (1800->1350) "But, but..." uttered Kai. "Attack power no longer matters whem Herakles is in battle, he never loses." Hermes noted. "I shall sacrifice two of my sisters to summon Harpie's Pet Dragon." The dragon appeared and roared as the power was given to him from the two Harpie Ladies on the field (2000/2500)->(2600/3100)->(3000/2700) "Then I switch my Harpie Lady into defense mode." "Kai, may I ask you a question? What is your last name?" "I am Kai Valentine!" "I knew it! I duelled your sister in the Mythic Journey Tournament." "Exactly! And I am here to avenge this humilious defeat you inflicted on her!" Kai yelled hatefully at him. Hermes was taken aback by this sudden outburst. "Why? But..." OOC: I know Kai made a stupid mistake when he didn't use Harpie's Brother to destroy the Hellish Bear. That was because I forgot afterward to apply the effects of the Rising Air Currents card, so sue me.
22. Well, Jar of Greed isn't either, and that's not a surprise. Gracefull charity is surprising... Maybe they are waiting for the promos? I'm really annoyed Sangan is already restricted. It was only restricted recently in japanese... I really am wondering whether they are planning to release a lot of promos in Legacy of Darkness, making Sangan dangerous...
23. That remembers me... I'll dig for my old translated poems so I can post them up at FictionPressNET, then I'll translate new ones... I'll try to come more often down here. It's worth it.
24. Mirror Force is rather a "protective" trap.
25. Here it goes! What is the best monster removal trap? Your choice! Frankly, I like Michizure as a way to punish the opponent, and Skull Lair is scary as a middle/late game card.
