These are real cool. Silva's tail look vaguely reptilian o.O that's just me.
-
Heck, then what happened to the Cambodgian and the Bosnian? Things like that are inherent to human nature. We are stupid enough to be warmongers...
-
If I correctly remember the story, Afghanistan helped Al-Qaïda. Bush used this to his advantage and orientated american's hatred at Iraq for his own reasons. But hey, maybe I'm just stupid and misinformed?
-
Why Gearfred? He's cool and shiny and all (and in SDJ) but he can't be searched with the witch and can't be equipped...
-
I'd have though Bush could just have hired some bouty hunters :D This could sooo have been taken care of long ago. Bleh.
Originally posted by Semjaza Azazel Yeah, it's called a Genesis (maybe called something else in Canada? I didn't think so though heh). There are two on the floor actually. One in the top left corner and one on the top right. They're both against the bookcase with the systems on it.
Probably, but ours is a bit different: it's loaded through the front (and I think it's maybe older than the Genesis, but my memory is a bit blurry...)

Eh, Semjaza, do you happen to have a Sega 16 bits? (I think it's a 16 bits...) We have one of those old things somewhere out there...

"I will wager all three of my locator cards!" Hermes announced. "Then I shall wager three out of my seven!" Mako retorted. "Woah! You already got 7 cards? This should prove to be interesting..." Hermes noted. "The first move is yours!" "Very well! I summon the Golden Swordfish, in attack mode. I also lay one card face-down." A shining yellow swordfish appeared and wiggled menacingly in the airs with it's pointed nose. (1650/1200) Hummm... I think I'll let that little fellah use it's effect... "I summon the Meridion Sphinx, in attack mode!" (1300/1800) "And I actiavte it's effect." "What is it?" "When summoned in attack mode, we both ask each others a riddle. If one of us can't reply it, all of his monsters are destroyed." "Very well." Mako's riddle: Two fathers and two sons went fishing. Everyone caught a fish. But there were only three fish. How is this possible? Hermes' riddle What loses its head in the morning and gets it back every night? Hermes had to though of it a bit, and finally found the answer: "There was a boy, his father and his grandfather." Mako seemed to be trying to scratch it's head off, but in the end... "I don't know..." As soon as he said it, a laser ray shot from the sphinx's eyes and destroyed his swordfish. "If you are interested to know, the answer was 'a pillow'. Now, Meridion Sphinx, attack him directly! Sun Breath!" A river of yellow flammes from the statue's mouth streamed at Mako. (4000->2700) "Your turn." "Yes, indeed. I summon the Silver Swordfish in attack mode!" A second, shining grey swordfish appeared. (1700/1300) "I also play Atlantis, the Legendary City! It raises my monster's attack and defense by 200." Water flooded the arena and a large floating city appeared over Mako's field. The fish was now hidden underwater. 1700/1300->1900/1500 "Now, my fish, Silver Harpoon!" The sphinx was quickly impaled to his death from underside. (4000->3600) The fish then returned to hide. "It is my turn, now, and I summon Little Chimera(600/550), in attack mode. I then uses Heaven's Fury to transform it into Chimera the Fearless!"(2400/2200) A large creature with three heads (a lion, a snake and a goat) and three serpents as tails now stood on Hermes' field. The monster took flight above the water and attacked, but only successed in generating a huge smoke. "Urgh, he must be preparing for some big summon..." "I now summon the Emerald Swordfish. He combines with my Silver Swordfish and together they are the Jewel Whale!" A monster appeared. A whale with an half of silver, and the other half made of shining green stone. (2300/1950)->(2500/2150) "Jewel Whale, attack! Precious Typhoon!" A typhoon raised from the water at Chimera. "Not so fast! Activate magic card: Reverse Trap!" A masked phantom floated across the field. The whale's attack failed and it exploded in bits of silver and green. "What was that?" asked indignantly Mako. "A simple card really, it changes attack increases to decreses and vice-versa. It dropped your attack down to 2100." Mako glared. (2700->2400) "I'll lay a card face-down before I end my turn." "I then summon the Hellish Bear! in attack mode." (1300/1800) The chained and fierce-looking bear foamed at the mouth. It's reddish fur was pierced with bone pikes at several places. "Fearless Chimera, Attack!" An unexpected thing suddenly happened: All the sea's water raised into tornadoes that got in the way of Chimera's attack. "Unfortunately, my Wall of Tornadoes protect me from all direct attacks. Now it is my turn. I don't know whether or not I told you about this other effect of my City of Atlantis? It reduces the level of all the water cards I hold in my hand by two, allowing me to summon... Amphibian Beast!" (2400/2000)->(2600/2200) "And this time, no Reverse Trap will get in the way of your Chimera's destruction! Oceanic Rush!" This time, Chimera was destroyed. (3600->3400) "I will switch my Hellish Bear into defense mode. Then I'll summon the Red Cyclop, in attack mode! I will also remove my Meridion Sphinx from the graveyard to allow the summon of my Stone Spirit Titan!" Both monsters appeared. The Red Cyclop was a red-eyed giant with a flamme atop his head (1800/1700). Titan was a stone man clad in armor and brandishing an axe (1700/1200). "I will lay a card face-down, and end my turn." "I summon a monster." announced Mako, but both the stats and the image of the monster remained invisible. Then it came: various harpoons pierced through Hermes' Red Cyclop, destroying it. (3400->3150) Where did that attack came from? "And now, Amphibian Beast, destroy the Titan!" Hermes Cringed as a wall of water crashed on his monster. (3150->2550) "Hey! You should have lost nine hundred life points!" "I should, but my Titan's attack is increased by three hundred points when it is attacked." Mako: 2400 Hermes: 2550 I know I'm fudging up a bit with some cards effects, but You'll have to admit it makes those duels more interesting? BTW, if someone plans on dueling me, I'd be glad once I'm done with beating Mako! I'm also making up complete decks for the caracters I duels, if some of you would be interested...

"3 Locator cards, uh?I need 27 more before I can duel Kaiba and Yugi..." Hermes was deep in his thoughs when a guy with a fishing went pass him. "You're gonna fish aboard the ship?" He asked befundedly. "No, I'm borrowing a lifeboat first." The man replied. Hermes stared at him. "Heck... You look lost. I could use some more cards before I get to duel Weevil. I, Mako Tsunami, challenge to a duel, whoever you are!" "And I, Hermes Kadukeus, hereby accept your challenge!" A nearby arena shone as it turned on. "LET'S DUEL!"

ARGH! I know what digimon are supposed to look like, but I meant that litterally. There's that slight, stiffness to it too, and the mouth. I think that's mainly the mouth

Okay, let's just say it looks a bit more like a stuffed animal to me than a living thing.

1) What do you collect? I've collected canadian postal stamps 2) How much of the item(s) do you have? oh, I think about 50, including some French and worldwide 3) What is your favorite out of all the items? A tintin sheet from Eiffel tower and a pretty orchids canadian sheet 4) How long have you been collecting it/them? I've collected them for about a year and a half, then I moved over. I keep them, though, like old friends.... *sigh*

Nice, very nice, but it looks a bit... Zombie? Maybe that's just me. Can I suggest adding a fang? Off-centered fangs do nice on most rookie/champion digimons.

"It's my turn now!" Tea announced. "And we'll see whether or not I can get the duel on the road as you said!" Hermes chuckled. "I play this magic card: Exile of the Wicked!" Hermes' eyes bulged. "What? That destroy all fiend-type monsters on the field!" "Exactly!" Tea smiled in victory. "I now summon Biomage. He is only level 3, allowing him to destroy your Cornish Pixies!" The orchid-like megician appeared. (1150/1000) "Bio Assault!" Tea called. The Cornish Pixies were taken care of. "And now, St. Joan, attack him directly! Holy sword of light!" Hermes' lp: 950 "I play Coins from heaven, allowing both of us to draw until we have 5 cards in hand!" Both had only one card left and drew 4. "And I play the Wacky Leprechaun, in attack mode!" (1500/900) The small fairy clad in a green smoking appeared. Next to his pot of gold. "Destroy the mage! Golden Clover!" The leprechaun threw a clover-shaped blast at the mage and destroyed it. (2250->2100) "I'll place 3 cards face-down and end my turn!" "What are you playing at?" Tea asked. "This monster is way too weak to withstand my St. Joan's attack!" "That is MY problem, young Tea!" "Well, then it's your choice, I suppose, to lose the game. St. Joan, attack the leprechaun! Holy sword of Light!" Just as the woman was about to assault him, the leprechaun suddenly summoned a large coin and flipped it. "What is going on?" Tea asked. "Simple" came the reply "When my leprechaun is attacked, it flip a coins. If it lands on a clover leaf, your monster's attack will be reduced by half!" The coin landed on a leaf, and St. Joan met with her fate sooner then Tea would have liked. (2100->2000) "Very well, I summon Spirit of the Hard, in Defense mode! I also play a card face-down." Tea sighed. "I sacrifice my Wacky Leprechaun, and I call upon the Seven-Headed Scylla!" (2200/1500) A dragon with seven slick long necks appeared and hissed loudly. "Activate, face-down card: Last Will! It allows me to special summon a monster up to 1500 attack points from my deck when a monster of mine is sent to the graveyard. Special summon Banisher of the Light, in defense mode!" (100/2000) A man in a robe appeared, behind him was some sort of glowing round portal. "As long as the Banisher of the Light is in play, all cards sent to the Graveyard are instead removed from play. Which allows me to activate... Cursed Tombstone!" The card showed a screaming ghost draped aroung a cross carved in stone. "This card will deal you 500 points of dammage each time a card is removed from play!" "Ack!" Tea scowled. "Scylla, burn that musician to ashes! Torrential Flammes!" "Waboku!" The group of women apppeared and caused the attack to dissolve. Waboku then was somehow attracted through the portal behind the Banisher of the Light. "Argh, Waboku decrease my dammage to zero... Well, it did save your monster, but the combined power of my Banisher of the Light and Cursed Tombstone dealt you 500 dammage for it..." "Oh, I had forgot about those..." Tea sweatdropped. (2000->1500) "So I summon Maha Vailo, in attack mode! then I equip her with the Black Pendant. She first gain 500 attack points from the Black Pendant, but her skills with equipment earns her an additionnal 500 points" Maha Vailo: 1550->2550 Hermes smirked. "Maha Vailo, erase that Seven-Headed atrocity! Black Scowl!" The pendant launched a beam that quickly dissolved the Seven-headed Scylla. "Activate card! Were Magic!" "What now?" Tea moaned. "This allow me to create a copy of my monster that was just destroyed, so you still have a Seven-Headed Scylla to face. Oh, and you lose 500 points for having destroyed my monster, as well as an additional 500 from my use of this card..." Tea: 1500->500 Hermes: 950->600 "I've lost, haven't I?" Tea asked softly. "You haven't yet, but you will when I destroy your Spirit of the Harp." "That's what I though. I concede you the duel, Hermes. It was very nice from you. My sea-sickness is gone." She smiled and walked to him. "Here's one of my locator cards. You earned it." "Errr..." Hermes blushed and rubbed the back of his head. "Thank you." Duel end! Winner: Hermes Kadukeus By way of: Concession Score: 1/0/0 Three locator cards

"Let's duel!" they chorused. "My first move will be... Dancing Fairies, in attack mode!" Tea announced. A large pink flower appeared in the middle of her side and blossomed before their very eyes, revealing 3 young winged girls. (1700/1000) "I will also lay one card face-down before ending my turn." she announced. Nice move. Hermes though, But not quite enough. "I summon the Earthbound Spirit, in defense mode!" Hermes called. An horrible mud puddle formed on his side and a zombie-like fiend partially emerged from it. (500/2000) "And I will also play a card face-down!" Tea looked at her cards. Her face-down card would take-care of that Spirit soon enough. "I summon the Forgiving Maiden, in defense mode!" The young women appeared, in a kneeling position. (800/2000) "And now, I activate my face-down card: Broad Daylight! In increses my Fairy-types monster's attack, while decreasing your Fiend-types." Dancing Fairies: 1900/1200 Forgiving Maiden: 1000/2200 Earthbound Spirit: 300/1800 "Oh no!" Hermes worried now. Fairy-type monsters weren't usually powerfull, but that girl had taped into some of the best available. "Dancing Fairies, destroy the Earthbound Spirit! Flower Ballad!" In a chorus of "Weee!" the little girls started dancing, creating a visible flow of flowery music that rushed at Hermes' monster. "Hold it, girl! I activate my own face-down card: Grasp from Beyond! It allows me to pay an amount of life points when my Fiend-type is in battle, to decrease the attack of my foe by the same amount I paid." Hermes' Life points droped by 100, allowing his monster to easily withstand Tea's assault. "Now it's my turn, and I summon the Cornish Pixies, in attack mode." (1000/900) A small group of winged little blue imps appeared. Since they were fairy-types, they instantly got the power-up from Brad Daylight (1200/1100). "Oh, they're cute, but so feeble. I used to play with weak, but cute monsters, but I've moved to more powerfull ones, as you can see!" ea commented. "I will also play the Trojan Horse magic card. It allows me to remove cards from the top of my deck until one is a monster card and immediately special summon it to the field." Hermes indicated. "Uh?" Tea started to worry, now he'd be at an advantage. "A trap card, the Death Calculator, the magic card Hermes' Boots, ah! a monster and it is... the Meridion Sphinx! in defense mode!" A stone winged sphinx appeared on Hermes' field. (1300/1800) "That was a nice play, Hermes, but, prepare for my deck's ultimate warrior!" Hermes looked up suddenly at Tea. Would she be Foolish enough to..? "I summon Hysteric Fairy, and I use this Polymerizarion to fuse it with the Forgiving Maiden to create, the greatest jnightess of light: St Joan!" The two monster dissapeared, mixing into one woman clad in a silvery armor. (2800/2000)->(3000/2200) Hermes lookes in awe. "Since it's a fusion monster, I can't attack just yet, but my Dancing Fairies can, and they will now annihilate those pixies of yours!" At those words, the pixies took flight and started to zigzag all over the palce at neckbreaking speed. No amount of aiming for the fairis could manage to hit them "Unfortunately, my Cornish Pixies have the special hability to avoid any attack from a level 4 or higher monster. You just wasted a very usefull attack." "I will now summon a fearfull monster. By sacrificing my Meridion Sphynx, I summon the dark one, Hades, King of the Underworld!" (2450/1600)->(2250/1400) "And I will use the De-spell card, to eradicate that pesky Broad Daylight card of yours. Now my monsters are back to full power!" Hades: 2450/1600 EarthBound Spirit: 500/2000 Cornish Pixies: 1000/900 St Joan: 2800/2000 Dancing Fairies: 1700/1000 "And a third magic card will finally throw this duel on the road: Secret Passage to the Treasury!" Hermes added. "Equipped to my Pixies, it allows them to attack you directly!" An underground passage appeared in front of the pixies, who rushed in it and appeared next to Tea, biting and pinching her. Fortunately they were holograms, but it was annoying nonetheless. "And to end my turn, Hades, annihilate the Dancing Fairies! Hell Curse!" The ball of energy flew at the terrorized fairies and exploded loudly. Tea: 2250 Hermes: 3900

Hermes was getting a bit seasick on that boat. He wasn't here for getting new cards or anything. All he really wanted was real competition. Greece didn't had a great emount of Duel Monster Players, and even though the Mythic Journey had duelist from all over the world, it had gotten repetitive. He wanted real opponents with powerfull cards and expected to get just that here. A girl suddenly ran past him and out of the crowd in the main hall. She steeply turned left toward the rails and vomited over in the ocean. Hermes walked to her. "Boats aren't exactly your thing, eh?" He asked her. He gave her a handkerchief. She wiped her lips clean with it, her face still slightly green. "Urgh, not, not at all." She replied. "By experience I know there's nothing better than getting something on your mind to get seasickness off. Like a duel." He suggested. "OoooOhhh..." She moaned, "I'd try anything by now. My name's Tea Gardner." She held out her hand. Hermes shook it. "I'm Hermes Kadukeus." "I know some already opened arena. Let's get there before I need to burp it out again." -later- "Humm... Nice arenas." Hermes commented. "First Move will be yours." "Allright!" Tea replied. She shuffled her deck and prepared for the duel. ooc: I don't really know Tea's deck during the Noa's Arc story arc, but I'm planning on giving her a nice "Femmes Fatales" and cutesy deck that can still holds it's own.

If I can say something, Please be a little original with your rare cards... I see 4 Red Eyes Black Dragon and 2 Jinzo (Only Joey is supposed to possess those after battle city) and apparently everyone has BEWD (ONLY KAIBA HAS ANY IN THE ANIME). I suggest you look at japanese cards to get ideas or this will get boring... Also, in the anime, technically, fusion monsters doesn't exist: they are just formed upon fusion.

OOC: I like that, Sage! Kensuke opened his eyes and stared at the sky. He felt stiff and was lying on something hard. The streetwalk. Make it be the streetwalk! He turned his head. He was in a bath tub. He sat up in surprised. "Now this is ****ing weird!" he yelled. He carefully looked over the edge and scowled. He was floating in the ocean. His eyes widened and he just yelled wordlessly in frustration. "YYYYAAAAAAAARGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!" In the end, he calmed down and looked around. The shoreline was far away. That was Cliff Islant. And then that opening would be Izumo River, where was Mera Island. Great. He didn't know how too swim. He started to try and scolll with his hands toward the shore. All the while cursing his bad luck.

yup, I think the best sets are Metal Raiders, Labyrinth of Nightmares and Pharaoh's Servant in that order. Though you should not overlook the fact some of the best magic (DUH) cards were in Magic Rulers: Mystical Space Typhoon, Axe of Despair, Snatch Steal, Giant Trunade, Megamorph, Delinquent Duo, Confiscation... But I'll have to admit 90% of the common/rares in Magic Rulers were crap. Notable exceptions are Rush Recklessly, Malevolent Nuzzler, Gravekeeper's Servant, Cyber Jar, Dark Zebra and Spear Cretin. Those are my personnal opinions, though.
-
Oh sure. The ruling is that Spear Cretin can't reborn itsel. that's different

Okay, forgot to post yesterday... Today's card is one of the many FIRE monster in Labyrinth of Nightmares: Fire Sorcerer (LON-036). Okay, now this card is bad. I mean, sacrificing 2 cards in hand for a measly 800? I can get the same amount easilier with Ookazi or Tremendous Fire! Plus, it's risky that you loose key cards you can't get back. A lot of cards in LoN deal with removing cards from the game, thus we are given Miracle Dig to fetch back monsters. Problem is: we can't get back magic/traps! What happens if my Monster Reborn or Raigeki is removed?? In the end, I'd prefer using Lady Assaillant of Flames so at least it doesn't dammage my hand. His stats aren't even interesting enough to play it in ATK, though it is Fetchable with both Witch and Sangan... But then again, the lady is better there. (1500/1000) Well, at least the card has a sweet picture. --- Note that the effect is mandatory: no way you can get around it (until you use Royal Command, that is) Also, if you ave 1 or less cards in hand, you don't get the effect. --- The only use I can see of this card is in a Fire deck (with strategy so you don't spring the effect) to get the Spirit of Flammes out. I give this card a 1.5 out of 5. Uses at your own risks.
-
You must do the flipping. So no, if it's destroyed in an attack, it doesn't work.

Here's the deal: I'm currently bored out of my mind with nothing to do. I'm not feeling like working on any of my sites but I want to make layouts. Then I noticed many people on otakuboards ran blogs on Blogspot and such with the boring default skins. I'll take requests for any types of blog layout. Just tell me which kind of picture you'd like to get, and if you care or not about pop-ups and fake iframes. I do not offer too much service once the layout have been worked out, so don't expect any fix if you somehow mess with the coding. If you ask for specific anime layout (except yu-gi-oh), I'll ask that you point me to some pictures. Other than that, you can expect about anything from me. Oh, just wanted to point out I love the way Rondomon looks scared of his other self.
