Here's a yet to be finished Gundam SEED wallpaper of Athrun Zala I have been working on. I'm kind of going against one of my own rules by using colors that aren't the same as the stock image, but only to a certain extent as the oranges you see were part of the original stock image I cut the Athrun image out of. I'm quite pleased as to how this is starting to shape out mainly because it took a great deal of time for me to remap and recreate parts of the body and hair of the stock image, and while at first I wasn't digging the airbrushing I had did i'm liking it more as time goes by. Oh well I'll attached the 800x600 version of the wall (so that it would actually fit the attachment limit -_-). The original wall that i'm still working on is 1280x960 so that it can be shrunken to suit a variety of low and high screen resolutions alike. Well any comments are appreciated... I just hope the airbrushing looks right on your PCs when your viewing it because my PC has a tendency to distort all the aibrushing I do when I save it as a jpeg =|. *edit: shrinking the image might be making the airbrushing look toolish -_-. I honestly hope that it's not the case though and it's only my computer...*

I'm surprised no one else has replied... I've never played CS for the Xbox but personally when you look at a game like Counter-Strike where randomly pulling the trigger and moving around like crazy isn't going to get you anywhere I prefer it on the PC with my mouse and Keyboard. Unlike most other FPS Counter-Strike demands you be accurate and have control over what your doing while I bet playing with a controller on the Xbox with some friends can be very fun and because of the controller would provide fluid and fast paced gameplay. It's not exactly what CS was originally created to offer so i'm not sure I like the idea of this PC port to the Xbox. I also doubt the internet competition with the Xbox is as mind boggling good as the competition out there in the PC realm XD.

Shinsengumi PeaceMaker Kurogane and Rurouni Kenshin share a few similarities. -Time period is nearly the same. -Both contain Saitou Hajime (famous member/leader of the Shinsengumi) -Both contain a "small" boy with the wish to become strong after the death of his parents. (Although in Peacemaker the story centers around this boy, in Kenshin this boy can be seen as Yutaro or Yahiko). I'm sure that as PeaceMaker continues to air in Japan and I watch the fansubs I will discover more/better similarities but those are just a few to note.
Your a piece of work arent you.....
That I am... But I prefer calling myself "sexah" or the uber fabrical "h-a-w-t-t" also works well -_-... Let me have my opinions and you can have yours -_o. There's no need to act childish and try to insult me :P... If that's what you call that pointless post... Anyway i'm thinking the third of the 4 wallpapers you just posted is the best =O. Just a little bit of advice for the future try to set a color scheme early when your making a wallpaper my main grip with the colors is while the stock image is dull and drab (not necessarily in a bad way just in terms of color) the rest of the image is all bright and skippy XD.

It's really the image I dislike but that's besides the point. I think a little more blending done to the hair would make the image look better but other than that I think it's pretty good =O.

Anime G and SD: The Gundams Everyone Hates
Hittokiri Zero replied to Katana's topic in Otaku Central
SD wsa never meant for kids it was meant to be funny
The original SD series were meant to be parodies and poke fun at the gundam series. We're talking about "SD Gundam Force" this series is a standalone series aimed at a younger audience as it is not a parody and has it's own cheesy highly predictable plot. (read the whole thread just don't post without knowing what's going on =P).
seed and wing r just stupid money maker waich hav little pointless plot and pretend to be as good as first gundam.
Deep down while they share many similarities to the original MSG they do have their own tidbits of originality here and there, now and then =O. And contrary to popular belief they were not made to be remakes as the original series. While they turned out that way in certain aspects the creators never had that intention in mind. Money making ploys... bleh in a way yes but then again that can be said to many animes in general. -
Anime G and SD: The Gundams Everyone Hates
Hittokiri Zero replied to Katana's topic in Otaku Central
Well the other thing is "SD Gundam Force" is episodic in nature which is also a major minus. (Animated) Episodic shows unless they are comedies say like The Simpsons, or South Park usually tend to fail to impress a large majority of viewers. And in terms of anime fans they often alienate many fans from a certain series. Also because the show was first released in the U.S. instead of Japan sometimes it makes me wonder exactly how much american influence had on it -_o. In this case if any I honestly think there was just too much. -
I don't see what's wrong with the firefly things, Hittokiri Zero, especially since you don't mention why they need to go, so I'm going to keep them. I like how they are wrapping around Chrno
Other than pointing out how horribly out of place and ugly they look what more do I need to say . If your trying to make some little "aura wisps" trust me when I say your airbrushing needs alot of work and until you have a much better idea of what you are doing stay away from those sperm thingys. On a side note they honestly don't look like they're wrapping around anything =|. Try tinkering with the opacity and "fade to" settings of the airbrush to get a better feel for what your trying to achieve.
And could you clarify what this means? quote: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Possibly move the Chrno Crusade text up some more? As for the "Is it snowing" text it actually looks okay but it's kinda of just "bleh" because of the way the rest of the wallpaper turned out..."
Basically I was saying the "Is it snowing text" would look okay alone but because of the poor quality of the rest of the wallpaper it's kind of hard to tell. And what I meant by moving the "Chrno Crusade" logo up was basically moving the Chrno Crusade lofo up so it's centered vertically on the image -_o. I hope that clears things up.
-
-All of the sperm flys definatly need to go or be redone >_>... -The stock image itself isn't of high quality either and the background is a pure mess of blurred colors that don't match the image as it is =\. -With there hard outlines and dropshadows the snow flakes and what not stand out too much and overall don't look that appealing =|. -Possibly move the Chrno Crusade text up some more? As for the "Is it snowing" text it actually looks okay but it's kinda of just "bleh" because of the way the rest of the wallpaper turned out... *try again ^_^''*

Anime G and SD: The Gundams Everyone Hates
Hittokiri Zero replied to Katana's topic in Otaku Central
Well sometimes people make series such as Gundam Wing, Gundam SEED, and G-Gundam out to be worse than they are by categorizing them as "kiddy animes" (which is really going to far because any half knowledgeable anime fan could see that there is still a fine line between "kiddy" and "non-kiddy" animes which in these cases has not been crossed) in the case of this "new" fangled "SD Gundam" this is perfectly exceptable. SD Gundam Force was intended for a younger audience there for many of the other gundam fans who are older and outside of the target audience of the SD Gundam Force t.v. show find the series as more of a sub-par disgrace to the Gundam franchise, mainly because of it's cheesy plot and all around horrific simplification of the tragic war & love story present in most other Gundam series. As for the original SD Gundam series they were not really banged on as much mainly because of what they were. They were parodies of a great thing. And everyone loves a good parody every now and then =O. As for G-Gundam it's not something I really liked, while for a time it provided a interesting change from the normal Gundam series it also fell victim to the over simplification of things and and times was just to reminiscent of DBZ. On a side note I always believed (and still do) that "SD" originally standed for "Super Deformed" not "Superior Defender" anyone care to correct me? or atleast possibly offer a good argument as to why the name change occured -_____o?...
and they actually have compassion for the stuff they do. The episodes don't have too much fight time, and the fact that the characters aren't war-driven, psycho maniac nuts ("calm youself Katana...") is good.
*on a side note* If you look at the original Gundam series or even a newer Gundam series like Gundam SEED you'd easily be able to see that both of the main characters Amuro Ray and Kira Yamato do have a compassionate side (sometiems Kira is to f00kin compassionate, pull the trigger already -_-!) and are not "war-driven pyscho maniac nuts". -
Do you consider yourself a real Otaku?
Hittokiri Zero replied to Moor_Child's topic in General Discussion
Overall, I just can't say I care anymore. I used to be heavy on manga too, but I've stopped paying attention to that in favor of Western comics. To me, there's just little comparison.
LOL it's completly the opposite for me there was a time a while back when I liked western styled comics and what not but when you compare them in terms of storyline and charater development for the most part they all pale in comparison to their japanese counter parts =\. There are very few exceptions but just all in all I prefer manga over western comics, it probably has something to do with the different drawing styles as well =O.
In either case, I was never an otaku. I never wanted to be one and I don't know why anyone else would be either. It's obsessive and weird... it's well beyond the simple hobyy and interest stage, at least based on how people currently use it. I think it's safe to say that most Japanese people would find so-called "otaku" pretty laughable.
I'd have to agree with you in the last part that native Japanese people probably would laugh at these anime obssessed fans out there but then again what anime is to them and to people out of Japan are two different things =P. Anime is commonplace for them wherever you turn, it's probably more of a childrens thing over there than it is in the rest of the world. But I wouldn't say there's anything wrong with being an "otaku" if anime is something your passionate about than so be it. I do find it a little odd at times that people can be so absorbed into it but then I compare it to something like all those crazy sports fans out there who go to all the home teams games and paint letters on their stomachs -_o'. -
Do you consider yourself a real Otaku?
Hittokiri Zero replied to Moor_Child's topic in General Discussion
The real "otakus" are usually the crazy insane cosplaying fans who buy more than just anime dvds. They buy anything anime, from anime cels to anime shirts, to anime eating utensils. Yep or something like that =P. I wouldn't really consider myself an anime otaku, i'd be a big anime fan but not one of these "otaku" that you speak of. -
Anime what video game do you think would make a good anime
Hittokiri Zero replied to ninj4_monkey's topic in Otaku Central
That was one of things I did like about the game - they didn't change any famous Disney characters to fit Square, or any Square characters to fit Disney standards.. Hopefully an anime would keep the same theme going. ^_~
Actually they kind of did. I honestly did not like what they did to Sephiroth and Squall. What they did to Cloud was actually kind of liveable though =P. Really most RPGs could be turned into a anime and probably be pretty successful RPGs already have the whole character development thing going for them and usually have a complex yet interestng storyline. I'd love to see Xenogears anime now that'd be off the hook. -
Yeah this game was the siznet =). I can't wait until the sequel w00t w00t. It was honestly a major pain in the arse to get 100% though x___X, and for those who tried to get 100% without a strategy guide of some sort I can only imagine the pain they went through XD.
-
eek x___X I actually liked the green one better, the more colorful remake looks jagged in some places and just overall looks lower quality. Yeah and you might as well save the .PSDs from now on :P. I usually don't go back and edit them but just in case I ever feel like it I save them as PSDs anyway.
-
It's quite sad actually in the case of DBZ if the series was cut oh say 151 episodes short. Then it could actually have been something great when you compare it to other animes, okay maybe if threw away the horrible animation and sound effects it had a chance, but I just can't stand it when an anime can't seem to take it's footing within the first few episodes and never ends. I think like you said the statement "all good things must come to an end" was never really taken into account while creating DBZ, Yu-Gi-Oh, and other animes of the likes. Or then again maybe it was but it seems to hold true that success can corrupt a good thing.
-
The text was actually purposley designed to blend into the background XD. I was thinking about something to take up the space, but there's not much you can do when the background is all blacks, grays, and whites x_X. Hmmmm maybe I could go with a slighty darker border but honestly I hate pure black or dark borders because in most cases they just look plain fugly on a white background =P (Talking about a white postbit). *EDIT* Might as well post this here to since the 10,000 members thread is dead... Yey here is the 1st draft of my entry for this banner thingy. Really the positioning and font of the 10,000 members text is the only thing that is really bothering me. I did crop off the left side and took away white space from the original so I think that looks all right but anyway here it is ---> the image has a white border too >_>'... to standard a banner as
-
LOL yeah it does look like a "fro", but that gives me an idea why not make a couple of images that are a parody to Kenshin ^_^? Sadly the second image you drew is kinda the polar opposite to "anime styled". One way to sharpen up is purchase some Anime Cels or just look for some on the internet and try to draw those.
-
Hmmm... Personally it's kind of a weird situation I don't think the members would mind that much, as long as you give credit to them and cite who/which artwork you drew the fanart of =O.

With mental.outburst I can really only pick out bits and pieces of it that I like. The main thing with it is that the whole abstract art bit has kind of faded on me a bit =\ I can still be wowed with it but other than making prints and posters there's not much practical use for it. Anyway I like the way you did the border on the image and the typo looks pretty okay. Is that font "BASE02" or something -_o because I do believe I have the same one XD. I'm not quite liking the thin japanese text that much though, and the way it's centered under "MentalOutBurst" Is kind of weird too. As for the background itself really my problem is with the center and upper right there is so much white and after looking at it for a while the whole subtlty of it gets absorbed in the white-ness =O. The lower right or bottom of the image is probably my favorite part though it has all this outbursting chaos feel to it but you can see alot of subtle things and circles and st00f like that XD. Anyway border is shnazzy.
Thanks for the comments everyone.....all two of you >>;
I know how you feel I know how you feel... Just wondering what you did to the banner anyway... Is it just a bunch of meshed images or what? Well I do like it simple banners like that have always been attracting to me also if you can't blend any text seamlessly (sp?) into the image don't bother because it looks nice as it is =]. Although I would like to see it with a 1 pixel black border just to see which one looks better =O.
-
I actually don't find this that freaky mainly because it's more cartoonish in nature, it's probably the weirdest christmas card I have or ever will see but I think it's pretty cool. Except for the dark blue outlining the "Happy Holidays" text it kind of stands out and would be better if it matched the blues in the rest of the picture.
-
Oh yes then there are other shows that you watch the beginning and think hey this might be good then they drag on forever and ever XD. *Has flashback to 5th grade when he liked Pokemon and DBZ* :P.

*waits for Syky boy to delete this thread* -_-. Anyway WhiteWolf please stop spamming and make sense when you post. If not I assure you that you will get banned, on a side note it's nice that you have a awesome graphics program and can make any banner but none of us really care. If you'd like to make banners for other people please check the request threads and post your banners there. This thread is for you to show off your banners/graphics for constructive criticism not for you to go around bragging about something we could all care less about >_>'.

This one time while I was playing soccer last year I went to take a free kick and after kicking the ball I ended up falling flat on my *** -_-. Embarassing... But surprisingly it didn't throw my aim off XD. Also last year, last game of the soccer season we were playing in the friggen hail and rain freezing out arses off so when I go to take a throw in because the ball is so slippery and wet it slips right out of my hands and basically goes straight up in the air x_____X.

First impressions are lasting but can also be misleading. Take a series like Gundam SEED and you see exactly what I mean, while the series started out like a carbon copy of many previous Gundam series and didn't have much going for it soon after it did start to pick up and became a highly enjoyable series for both Gundam and non-gundam fans alike. Other series like Get Backers when they first start out you have no idea what your going to get by watching the first few episodes alone =\. One thing that does turn me off from some animes though are the Opening Sequences and endings. If the music isn't good and it just doesn't look attractive it is hard to be un-biased... It happened to me with Get Backers but luckily I stuck with it and watched the whole thing through XD.
