Originally posted by Transtic Nerve The correct title is Furi Kuri, dunno why they changed the pronunciation slightly, but whatever.
It is because the Japanese alphabet (actually a syllabary) does not have an "L". So all L's are written as R's. This means that generally anything translated back to english replaces R's with L's (if the writers decide to change it). It makes little sense to me some times. :P

This idea reminds me of one that I heard on my Battletech forum (see link in sig). Battletech is a mecha game/book series much like Gundam (with less mobility), and someone actaully thought up some really amazing rules for Battlemech Football. Gundam paintball is an interesting idea. In fact I am using it in a thread in the Advanture Arena (although my version is a simulated battle, not a game).

I would say that it just adds to the mystery behind her. All we know so far is that she is a legendary hacker, and that Sora has a connection to her through a friend. I have heard that the voice actor in .Hack//Infection is the same as in .Hack//SIGN, thus leading me to believe that she will speak eventually. I am waiting for that day, because (as you can tell from my avatar/banner) I think Helba kicks-***. :D

All I remember about the line-up of shows that .Hack is part of is that it contains the words "Saturday" and "Entertainment." Past that I have no clue what they called it. As for editing, I doubt they would need to edit it. There is no real foul words, no blood, no killing (so to speak),and no nudity. The only change I know of is that the DVD's have a different ending for it. Personally, I think the TV ending is better.

It was probably just something programmed into the system. Each character will naturally have a unique way of moving due to the fact that they are all different. Also, the poses would display what they character is about to do. In this case the poses indicate that they are about to use a chaos gate to warp out. For another example of this watch the first episode and look for the difference between the time when Tsukasa tries to log out, and the time he uses the Sprite Ocarina to exit the dungeon.

Fooly Cooly was just supposed to be a perversion joke by the writers. If you failed to understand you are probably lucky (it means you mind is not broken, yet). In fact, the whole Manga scene was one big perversion joke (along with any scene that Mamimi is around).

Hmmm, I do not think that the Data Drain Bracelet is the Key of the Twilight. I know that it came from the Book of Twilight, but it does not seem to fit the power that the Key is said to have. Here is a quote from the show that talks about the Key (and the Twilight Eye): "When the Twilight Eye doth open, so too shall the path to me. Discourse with me, and against that power fight. When the key which overturns everything is possessed all will be revealed." As it states, the Key of The Twilight is capable of "overturning everything" in the world, so far the bracelet does not seem to have that level of power (though it continues to get closer). Also, there is little mention of the Key in the games, leading me to believe that problem may be solved in .Hack//SIGN. As for Aura being the Key, that could make sense. It would also explain why Morganna is trying to warp her. If Aura did not have some serious hidden powers I doubt that Morganna would even try to change her, and just let her remain sleeping. Also, in the games you will notice that the Bracelet is created by Aura and given to Orca in the form of the Book of Twilight. This proves that Aura has control over the game parameters.
Originally posted by Soul_Taker But yeah your right K.K.C., but not french fries, try 3 dozen donuts!
LOL. Yeah, Sora has entire Kripsy Kreme warehouse stored in his thighs. *Falls to the ground laughing.*

This is my first attempt, so I hope it looks good. Description: This is set on the testing ground for a Zeon MS training facility. There will be three team: Zeon-Blue, Zeon-Green, and Federation. The zeon teams will consist of three members each, and the Federation team will total five members. Please note, the Federation team will play a side roll until the Zeon teams complete the First Stage (though the Fed. teams should still post to provide background). First Stage: Zeon teams will face off in a Capture-The-Flag style game(using paintball instead of bullets, and paint-tipped axes with no blade), while piloting Zaku II's. The rules for the encounter will be set by me in the fist post. Once that is finished there will be a rest period (overnight) while the ammo is switched to live-ammo (aka, real bullets/axes). Second Stage follows. Second Stage: Just before the next test can start the Federation team attacks the base (piloting Guncannons). The Zeon teams are sent back to defend the base until the recruits can escape. Info Needed: Name: Rank: (Federation only, all zeons are cadets) Age: Description: Bio: (Optional) Type of Zaku: (Described below, Zeon only) Mobile Suit Appearance: (how is it painted) Zaku Types: Rilfeman- Carries a rifle for longer range attacks. Machinegunner- Carries a machine gun and extra heat axe, melee expert. Grenedier- Carries bazooka and Strum Fausts (rockets), slow movement. If there are any questions feel free to ask and I will try to clear them up for you. ================================================== My character (Zeon Drill Sergeant) Name: Galen Allard Rank: Drill Sergeant Age: 32 Desription: Brown hair, brown/green eyes, approx. 6ft tall. Zaku Type: Pilots a Zaku II Kai (upgraded Zaku II) Mobile Suit Appearance: Black with a red hour-glass painted on the cockpit hatch. Please note: My character will give instructions to the Zeon teams before the First Stage, and will appear at the fight in the Second Stage.
Originally posted by K.K.C. Well, you never know, they did that to Zoids Chaotic Centry until all the fans signed a petition to show the last 4 episodes (Im a former Zoids fan, and yes, i signed the petition) But this only for one week luckly, and if they do stop it before the series is over.... We can start a petition ^_^
I never knew that there was a petition. The fact that the last four episodes where almost never shown ticks me off. Those were the best episodes. That kick-*** ring the Deathsuarer used to attack the entire planet was the best. *Grins evily at the site of the destruction.* Bring back Moonbay and Ivine, they were the best (Raven was cool too).

I just had a disturbing thought. What if BT is a really kind and sweet person in real life? After all, people behave differently when online (such as on a forum :tasty: ). I think I need to find a BT doll to tear apart, just so I do not forget how I feel about her. *shudder*

FLCL is a great anime (at least so far). The slow 3-D scene was awesome, and the manga style scene was just plain weird (his grandfather is a strange person). In reality, though, FLCL has nothing on Excel Saga. Excel Saga was quite possibly the most unusual anime I have ever seen.

Ya know, I never noticed Crim's shoes before. I generally spend my time wondering why Sora never tried to cut off that strand of hair hanging in front of Crim's face. :shifty: Hmmm, does anyone else think it would be amusing to see Crim or Silver Knight attack Helba, just to see what she would do? Or, am I just crazy? :twitch:

The thing I cannot make sense of is why they run those ******* marathons for an age group that will most likely never be up long enough to watch them. .Hack//SIGN is probably the most watched part of the Saturday line-up, at least the late part of it, so why would they try to piss off the older age groups that will stay up for it, just to play something the younger ones will never see? *Begins pulling hairs out of his head.* Arrgghh. Where is my revolver?

A: Tsukasa's mother dies (from a virus, IIRC) Q: Why does Mimiru wish to help Tsukasa?
-
Hmm, good question. BT mentioned "The first time" she met him offline, and how she almost fell for his charming way of speaking (or whatever was said). Also, she seemed to have softened her attitude around him on Saturday's episode. There are two factors I can think of that make an answer hard. 1) When did they meet? A long time ago, or recently? 2) Are they still meeting? Without those facts it is difficult to tell if they like each other (since Bear controls his emotions), or if Bear might just be a "rebound relationship" that BT is going for after being dumped by Crim.
Originally posted by Hyper My friend tells me that something is trying to awake Aura differently. (Direct quote from him) Perhaps that might be Morganna? He didn't know the name.
Yes. As stated in the last episode Morganna (also called "The Voice") is attempting to "Awaken a Black Aura" (Quote from Harold/Broken Man). The purpose of this "Black Aura" is unknown as of yet, and will hopefully be explained in the last few episodes. All I know is that Aura's "awakening" is more important to .Hack//SIGN then Aura herself.
Originally posted by K.K.C. sorry for being moddy again...
All is forgiven. Besides, there is no need to apologize for saying such things. If not for the rules, and the fact that this is a public forum, I would probably say much worse things after he cluttered my thread with useless B.S. :flaming: BTW, did anyone eles notice that B.S. is just one letter away from BT? Do you think there is a hidden meaning there? :D
Originally posted by teptep interesting so basicly kite is destroying the world?
That would appear to be the case, but unfortunately there is one thing that makes it all a theory. Nobody really knows what Morganna (creator of the Phases) is trying to accomplish. All that is known is that she is using the Phases to do her work.
Originally posted by AzureWolf However, it doesn't sound like much fun to go to easy stages and level up. Besides, I need to increase the # of grandpa's, so I just go to 49 or 50 lvl stages. I'll probably try your (surprisingly clever) method after I have enough grandpa visits. :)
I would lie to say that it is as fun as having a real challenge, but since I beat the game I am just stockpiling for the next one. As for the Grandpa visits. Go to level 15+ on the Delta server and there should be a Lvl. 1 Grandpa. All I know is that each server is supposed to have a Grandpa in the highest level springs.

I just watched Liminality again and found out that the sound was supposed to be "A & C minor scale" (as spoken by Mai's friend. I believe that those scales are part of the basics in music (though I could be wrong), which means they are well within the range of hearing. So I would have to guess that the sound was very quiet if only Mai could hear it.

Anime (US/CAN) General thoughts and ratings for .hack//SIGN 23, "The Eve"
Originally posted by OtakuSennen Was that the message from Helba telling them all to meet at that point so they could enter her Chaos Gate leading them to
Net Slum
? I think all hints point in that direction
I would have to believe so. From what I have read that area appears in episodes 24 and 26 (possibly in 25, too). That is why I cannot wait for next week because I know that Helba will be there. -
Sora and BT are part of what I consider to be the "Third Factor." They are neither good nor evil (first two factors), and are working for their own cause (which causes others to question their motives). Basically, BT is just using Sora, and Sora is just using BT. It is an endless circle of use and be used.

There must be a lot of miscommunication over the release date. IIRC www.gamefaqs.com stated that it is in mid-October. I would venture to say that something happened along the way that caused a serious problem. Oh, and an easy way to level up (not to mention get a lot of money for high level items) is to go to low levels in the Delta (Mac Anu) server and completely clear the field and dungeon. Generally you can get upwards of 100-150 points for both (not to mention the addition to the Ryu Books). Also open every tresure chest along the way then sell it back at the root town. That is how I got Kite, Blackrose, and Wiseman up to level 58.
Originally posted by Tical That subaru handicap thing was probably a figure of speech.
Nope, she really is handicapped. In whatever episode it was the revovled around her at the end you could see that she was sitting in a wheel chair just before she leaned forward to hug ht computer screen.
