http://www.moonlotus.net/themesong/tank.html Woohoo. I got Tank. The opening theme. The best song in the show. "Bang"--Spike

Boogiepop jumps around more then a jackrabbit on blacktop in summer. Just continue to watch it and things begin to fall into place. It is basically one big puzzle with pieces appearing randomly. Eventually you will wind up with the whole picture at the end.
What do the phases do? I know something is trying to awaken Aura differently, but I know very little. After you defeat a phase, the system temporarily crashes. (I just got into Mutation yesterday). Yet they have no introduction. All of a sudden they just start popping up.
From what I have seen in Infection and Mutation the "Eight Phases" seem to act as both guard dogs and virus carriers. Each one ensures that Morganna (the one that created them) is kept safe (by drawing attention away from her) and also tries to provide for their own safety by carrying a virus that will infect more of the game.
What do the phases have to do with the "Epitaph of Twilight"?
Once you get to the Wiseman part of the game this will be answered with a quote from the Epitaph. If you still want to know now I will post it in spoiler tags:
The "Phases" are the beings that help "The Wave" destroy the land of the gods. This is written in the Epitaph, along with a long-winded explination of each of them.

Watch the cinematic of Skeith being Data drained form the Desktop. The video is called Phase One Skeith, Epitaph in Stone. Watch closely, and take a look at thew Data Drained Skeith. Now watch the video from the begining of the game. Remember that weird stone? It's exactly the same as the DD Skeith. And the same applies to Innis, and most likely the other phases. How can I link the two?
I would suggest waiting for the next two games. Most likely the answer will be there somewhere. I have not seen anything in either game that links the two yet.

Anime (US/CAN) General thoughts and ratings for .hack//SIGN 23, "The Eve"
Zephyr replied to Shy's topic in Otaku Central
Rating: 8/10 This episode went by way too fast. The only long part was the commercial break. Then again, the first half seemed to be nothing but filler. Tsukasa still has mental problems, but at least he is out of that **** trance. And is it just me, or do those fireflies seem to be symbolic of Tsukasa and Subaru's relationship? They only show up around those two, and only when they are thinking of each other. Too bad it was Mimiru on the other end of Sora's blade, I was kind of hoping it would be BT. AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH! I can't wait for next week. It is too far away. I must see episode 24 so that I can once again see Helba. Why didn't she show up today? :bawl: I will be quiet now. -
Hmm. Strange Lif3 sounds kind of interesting, especially the skirt flipping part. :luv: *Hits self in head.* Mind outta the gutter. 5-Five Love seems a bit overused to me. Then again, the entire "Tenchi-style" genre is kinda boring IMO. Well, there is my opinion for today. Maybe I should have kept it to myself.

So many hobbies to list. Let me see. Models (mostly military helos & Gundams), drawing (not very good), TV, Battletech/Mechwarrior, reading Animerica and Anime Insider, and my favorite is reading Cannon God Exaxxion comics (created by Kenichi Sonoda).
Originally posted by OtakuSennen Heh. Actually, F Minor is a basic chord that anyone (except deaf people of course) can hear... But that is a very good educated guess, AzureWolf. But I really can't think of any threshold that F Minor can be.. Ow, my head. I need to buy some Aspirin and pop one every time I read something in the .hack forum. X_X
The strange thing is even though F-Minor is easy to hear they talk about in im Liminality as though only someone with a practiced ear could hear it. I remember (vaguely) a quote where Mai's friend tells her she probably heard it because of her violin practice. I suppose, though, that could also mean the sound was not very loud and her experience with changes in sound made it seem louder. Now my head hurts.

Constantly killing other players would be no fun. Fighting them would be better. Of course, if one decided to piss me off I would probably not have a problem cutting him/her into little pieces of sashimi.
Originally posted by K.K.C. oh, you mean the ding a lingy sound? Yeah, i figured that is something very important, being Bear fell threw the floor when that happened.
Yeah. It was also heard when Tsukasa realized that the Broken Man was talking about Aura, and before the city began to break. I think in Liminality the tone was stated as being A-minor (heard through a tuning fork).
Originally posted by Tical She had taken it off
I am not so sure of that. When they first showed her from the doorway I did not see the visor, nor was it around when they zoomed in on the screen. Plus, it seemed like the sound was coming from the screen's speakers. If it were from the visor I do not think could have heard it when Tsukasa asked her if she was crying. Maybe I am just over-thinking things a bit here.
-
It is also the same sound that is heard many time when Tsukasa, Mimiru, and Bear were seaching the upside-down city. Where they found the Broken Man.
Originally posted by TriGunMaSta68 This manga was a very good manga, actually i wasnt into manga very much until i read Blue Destiny. So, i should thank The creators of it because now, thanks to them, im obsessed with Manga and Anime.
LOL. Yeah, I was not much into manga until I got a hold of the first of the Gundam Wing mangas (I think they are called Graphic Novels when the images are reversed to look like American comics). I enjoyed the first one so much that I asked the woman running the comic shop near my high school to order the other two for me. I even followed that up with the "Battlefield of Pacifists" series (still Gundam Wing), and four Gundam Technical Manuals. I am now stuck on a series of comics written by Kenichi Sonoda (from Gunsmith Cats and Bubblegum Crisis) called Cannon God Exaxxion. Just goes to show how one little book can change things.
Originally posted by Hyper Is it actually hot keys? I figured that with the technology in the series, the virtual reality headset could respond to facial muscles activity and project them in "The World". But hotkeys would be much easier.
I think it would have to be key commands. In the Liminality DVD's they show the game being played with a PS2 controller. Plus, the VR visor only covers the ears and eyes, making it too small to read enough muscles movements to determine mood. Also, in the scene with Subaru crying she was not wearing a visor.

Anime Very creepy, I know who Tsukasa is (contains MAJOR spoilers)
Originally posted by K.K.C. Someone told me that in the third series of the video games, you actually meet the characters and they can join your party... or something like that
Yeah, I have heard that too. I have also heard that Balmung winds up on your call list. I really want to see what leads to that (since neither Kite nor Blackrose could trust him after what happened in Mutation.) At the very least you probably run into more of them like in Mutation. -
Did anyone else notice on the previews that
a lot of the destroyed MD's (Mega Dues) seem to have returned? I noticed Big Duo and that one that Beck used in the first and second episodes (with a new face). I thought I saw a few others I remember, but I cannot think of which ones they were.
It would be a lie to say I do not find some parts of .Hack//SIGN to be boring (like the Tsukasa that stares blankly), but it is an interesting anime because it does deviate from the normal action-based ones. It is almost like Boogiepop Phantom, which relied more on mysterious plot twists and jumping from point to point. Bad music?!? How dare you, sir. (j/k) Personally I think the music is the best part (even though the art and plot nearly tie with it). The interesting part is that most of the songs started out in english, and were not translated.

I will add my thought, but I will probably need spoiler tags for anyone that has not seen Liminality pt 1.
In .Hack//Liminality Harold is seen standing in front of the grave of Emma Weiland (is that the correct last name?). I believe that he may have been in love with Emma, but due to her death he was never able to marry her. Because of this he was unable to have a family. Perhaps Aura was meant as a substitute for that family. And when Harold says "she is our Aura" he is refering to himself and Emma.
That is just my thought.
-
No they do not. Liminality (DVD) and the games all take place after .Hack//SIGN has ended. Liminality takes place at about the same time as the games.

Anime (US/CAN) General thoughts and ratings for .hack//SIGN 22, "Phantom"
Zephyr replied to Shy's topic in Otaku Central
Originally posted by OtakuSennen But then it could also be Harold's hair.. But then what would that mean?
It could mean the same thing as what you mentioned for Aura. Just like Aura, Harold's existence in The World has become known by many due to the problems surrounding Tsukasa. Another thought springs to mind. I have also noticed the similarity between Aura's and Harold's hair. One big difference is that Harold's eyes can be seen, while Aura's are hidden (and closed). As has been mentioned, there is a lot that seems to relate the Awakening of Aura. Harold's own Awakening in The World led to the creation of Aura and Morganna. Perhaps the Awakening of Aura is meant to be the "good" which counters Harold's "evil" in Morganna. Maybe I am just overthinking things. -

Speaking of the bear, is it just me, or did the bear's stuffing kind of resemble Aura's hair? I wonder if there is a hidden meaning behind that. :flush: -
Anime The relationship between Legato and Knives?
Zephyr replied to MillieFan's topic in Otaku Central
I think it is just a common understanding between the two. They are both out for the same goal (destruction of humans), so they joined forced to complete it faster. It also seems to me that they planned to torment Vash in the hope of driving him mad and making him believe that Knives was right about humans. -
A very amusing show. Best part (IMO) was the very first scene of the first episode where Stuey completely destroyes the puppet set on Mr. Roger's Neighborhood (or whatever it is called).
-
Pilot Candidate had run its course on CN anyway. There were only 11 episodes made, and CN played it through at least two times. They eventually took it off for something better/newer.

TriGunMaSta68, things like that are not even close to funny. This is a public forum which people from every age group can visit. Saying anything like that will give people the wrong impression of the board, and makes the admins/mods look bad if even one person thinks that they allow this to be said. If you wish to speak like that do it around your own family and friends. Not here. I may not have the cleanest mouth and mind either, but even I know when to keep quite. -
Yes, I do believe in these types of abilities. I do not believe in the level of them that people like Miss Cleo try to push on us though. I have had the occasional "glimpse" into events that will occure later in the day. This has happened maybe 4-5 times and has nearly been passed off as a dream while I am waking up, until I see the same thing later in the day. (No, I am not joking either. It has happened) This proves to me that it is possible, but the lack control, clarity, and length make it hard for me to believe that Miss Cleo has it any better. IMO, this whole thing is just a prelude to another form of evolution. Humans have already reached a turning point long ago when we became "sentient," and now our brains are slowly rewiring with each new generation.
