Yeah, Lupin III is one of the best animes CN has on right now. What is better then lechery for the sake of humor? Just like GTO (Great Teacher Onizuka). Personally, I like the old school style of art they have on Lupin. With legs as long as their's are they must have custom make pants. "You better turn around if you want to pick you nose." "No way. I believe in sharing the fruits of my labor. Besides, my patented corkscrew technique belongs to humanity." --Jigen & Lupin :D (I always loved that quote)

IIRC (from the book on anime I have) the picture that .hack//IZUAL posted would qualify as a Super Deformed character because the head is about 1/3 of the entire character. I forget where the line between Chibi and SD actually is.
Originally posted by AzureWolf However, in my random dungeon crawling (yeah, I play for fun and go to new dungeons), I did come upon a place that has Sports Drinks, the only trade bait that you can't find in a given area. I'll check my history if you actually want it.
Sports Drinks are found in any dungeon (by breaking Jars, Urns, Skeletons, etc) on a level that has a Thunder element. I will list the items and the element for the field they are in Sports Drink-Thunder Cooked Bile-Darkness Burning Oil-Fire Pure Water-Water Well Water-Earth Holy Sap-Wood
Originally posted by OtakuSennen Hm... There's a Battletech Forum? I haven't seen that.. What is this postaholic's user name?
Yep. I used to have the link in my sig, but I deleted it (for some reason). www.classicbattletech.com Have you heard of Battletech before? And the user's member name is Wombat (which is also what her RP character is). No clue about her real name.

Here is a clip from an FAQ found on www.gamefaqs.com. It lists three different items, their locations, and how they are used (the last is an Elemental Increase Item)
Ice Bar - This one was originally found in Infection, but since you need it to trade in this game, It can be found at: Delta Hideous Organ Market Scaffold One of the Keywords found on the DVD Note: It CAN Be found in Mutation. Chinese Food - Again the address for this item is found on the DVD but you actually use it in Mutation. It can be found at: Lambda Capricious Unending Corridor BL Yokohama - I'm not sure exactly where the address for this one is supposed to be. Appearently some manga we don't have access to in the states. However the item is in the Gott Statue of Lambda Bottomless Soul Kaleidoscope. It increases your Water Element by 3.

Originally posted by Hyper Can anyone tell me what Server/Area Mu Guardians are found? I'm preparing for my battle with Skeith and I'm looking to make use of at least on of the Rare Twin Blades.
I would advise against using a rare against Skeith. Most rare blades wind up dropping one or two values by at least 10 points. If you still feel like finding the Bom-Ba-Yee, then I believe there are many Mu Gaurdians in Theta-Voluptuous, Geothermal, Paradise. (Note: It will take a lot of Data Draining before you get the Bom-Ba-Yee.) Also, once you beat the game there is a bonus level provided in the game's "e-mail" that has a lot of Mu Guardians.
Just to clarify things so no one mentions difficult games just because they are difficult. An intelligent A.I. is one that is both unpredictable and formidable. Now, by formidable, I don't mean it has to be as good as you, but it can't be like what Black Phoenix just gave: "Not long after that a tank drove over the cliff and sank into the water." Yeah, that's unpredictable, but not in a good way.
I think the problem with the AI for the tanks was it had been given a secondary priority. The tanks generally move toward you and fire, and can occasionally move in a way that is unusual. In reality it looks like the AC's got the better AI (since they are meant to be hard) and the MT's varied based on the type. As for the game's predictablity, that is a matter of opinion. The limited movement in the game scales down how unpredictablity of the AI's movements, but it can still throw you for a loop since it performs the movements better then a human would. There is nothing wrong with the tanks going over the cliff, IMO, since I got payments for each without having to waste ammo. :D

If you want a real Postoholic you should meet one of the (few) women at my Battletech forum. She has been there since early 2003 (maybe late 2002) and she already has 10,000+ posts. That is the record for the entire board. I know others that have been there for nearly two and a half years and have only around 5,000.

Unfortunately, you cannot get all movies from the Ryu books. I believe that any movie that does not require you to hit "X" to get past the word boxes is opened by the Ryu books. In other words, the ones that move at a constant pace, of which you have no control, should appear in the "Audio" section once the game is finished. Luckily, .Hack//Mutation does open the old movies once you start completing the orginal tasks for each Ryu book. (At least, I am fairly sure it does)
-
Frankly, you should start off with .Hack//Infection and then move onto .Hack//Mutation later. If you started with Mutation you would miss a lot of plot points from Infection. Also, the .Hack//Liminality DVD in Mutation also has points that hinge on the first volume found in the Infection set.

Has anyone here ever played a game for PSone/PS2 that really makes you question whether A.I. really deserves to use the word "Intelligence"? Today I picked up my Armored Core 2: Another Age and started to play. For the sake of humor I decided to play one of the levels that just keeps tossing enemies at you. Since I had the Gameshark codes on I just kept blasting away with no end in sight. Finally I got bored of shooting the tanks and drove my AC over the side of a cliff and into a small river. This allowed me to fight the hover drones instead. Shortly thereafter I noticed something else fall from the cliff, so I decided to wait an see what it was. Not long after that a tank drove over the cliff and sank into the water. I was laughing like crazy at just how stupid the A.I. was. Anyone else ever experience something like this? (please explain too)

Anime (US/CAN) General thoughts and ratings for .Hack//SIGN 21, "Despair
Zephyr replied to Zephyr's topic in Otaku Central
It would be funny if they start the next show off with Tsukasa sitting next to the bed, still dazed :drunk:, with the bear in pieces scattered next to him and the bear's ear hanging from his mouth. :rotflmao: -
Errr, tough choice. I think I will stick with my top three. 1. Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz (both OVA and movie versions) 2. Princess Mononoke (Gillian Anderson was great as Moro) 3. Grave of the Fireflies (depressing, but very true)
Originally posted by .hack//IZUAL This is what I got, the three rows equal A B C and if there is a jewel in it. It means that certain keyword made structures on that level. Do you get what I am saying? and If you do, am I right?
That is correct. Each jewel means that the keyword affects that particular part of the level. The number of structures in the area will change depending on the keyword. Some words have more and some have less. The only suggestion I can give you for figuring out what each word does is write is down, write down what it affects and then use it over and over until you get an idea of how it affects it (i.e. More buildings, flat terrain, less monsters, etc.) Personally I would not bother with keywords too much. The only ones that would be needed are "Field Type" (when looking for specific items), "Weather" (for the Spring of Mist), and "Monster Level" (to avoid getting killed when your level is low).
Bah! How dare all of you say B.T.'s good! Those of you in the B.T. club should be banned, or at least PKed! (j/k)
*A small man in Chinese robes walks up to a podium.* "The great Confuse-us says: 'To acknowledge that a person is evil you must first acknowledge their good points. That way you know what to dismiss in an arguement.' " ;) (Well, there goes my sanity) I doubt that Tsukasa was blind. I think he was just in a state of shock. If he were blind I doubt that he would have noticed Maha and given her the piece of grass. -
Originally posted by ladyscorp2006 thanx you must be the master of this game cuz you got all the answers
Not really. I am just a fast-learning, game fanatic that really, really needs to get a life. :D I doubt I could really be called the master of any RPG, since .Hack//Infection is the first one that I have ever actually played. :cross:

Anime Cartoon Network Line-Ups...and anime on television announcements
Zephyr replied to Syk3's topic in Otaku Central
Okay, anyone that payed attention during the commercial breaks yesterday already knows that FLCL and Blue Gender are coming soon to Adult Swim. So, just to know what is coming, can someone give me a brief synopses of both of these shows, or at least point me to a good site that talks about them? -
Originally posted by OtakuSennen He's a traveling buisinessman.. At least, that's what KKC and I think. PM her and you'll find out.
To add onto that idea, he probably works in a large business, possibly as a sales rep. or a training advisor. This idea from from a statement he made when he first showed up in the series. He told Subaru that he had just gotten back from "a business trip to Indonesia."

I think they would have to be used in part three. I do not recall seeing the words "False" or "Tragedy" on the lists for Mutation. (That does not mean they are not there, it just means I do not remember them) I guess that each volume will have more and more words to use.
Originally posted by kiteS23 Hey, this is kinda on the subject. Does anyone here get Playstation Magazine? There was an ad for OUTBREAK in it, and there was keywords in the add too.
Do you mean the full three-part keywords, or just random single words spread across the page? Also, which issue/month was it (hopefully Borders will have it).
-
Also try Borders or Barnes & Noble. They have a pretty good selection of graphic novels/manga. The fight scene at the spaceport (final battle) was interesting because you actually got to see the entire fighting ground instead of just the area where the two main characters fought.
OK I think you guys are just freaking over something that the people that made the DVD just put on there to describe the basis of the show. That's my take on it.
They are not really freaking out, Heavyblade. The DVD's have the words on there specifically for usage on the games. It is just a matter of which game and which words to use. (I just use cheat sites to find out since I do not have the DVD's of SIGN :p)

Rating: 8/10 Yay!!! Helba was in this episode. hopefully she will finally say something in the next one. Tsukasa looked like he had took a drink from a big bottle of ether. It was kind of amusing, although it slowed the entire episode down. As much as I hate BT, I like the fact that she was picking on Silver Knight again. At least it showed her one redeeming quality, she is smart enough to make Silver Knight look like an idiot (hard trick, right?). And Sora was definately showing his age in this episode. Oh, K.K.C., nice pick. For some reason it also reminds me of the constant stare of hatred that Hajime Saito (sp?) gives Kenshin in Rurouni Kenshin. -
Since Shy does not seem to be around I will just repost his rules so everyone can rate the episode.
.hack//SIGN - "Despair" - Episode 21 - July 19, 2003 1.
