I chose Crim (no big surprise). Since the vote was basically between him and Sora I had to choose one. Crim seems stronger while Sora is just fast. It was fun to see him PK two characters in one shot though. There is one thing I am sure of from last night's episode. Crim got plastered by that monster. There were three things that made me realize this. First, the look on his face while talking to Bear. Second, I am positive he tried to fight even after being hit. And finally his statement that you could only do two things "run or die."

Here is on that I found online that was printed in a manga (not yet translated).
Use numbers 6, 3, and 4 (In that order) in Mutation's Carmina Gadelic server, and at the gott statue you will find an item that amps up your water element by 3 points.
Ohh, and by the way. Number 4 is spelled Kaleidoscope. I have no clue about #9, though.

Has anyone else read the Blue Destiny manga/comic? What did you think was the best part? Personally I really enjoyed this comic. The art was well done, and the fights between the Blue Destiny and Ifreety were great. The best part, IMO, was background of the EXAM system that was installed in both MS, and the girl who was "trapped" in the system.

Anime And you all thought I was crazy... (Music Interview)
Zephyr replied to AzureWolf's topic in Otaku Central
:rotflmao::rotflmao: Top 40 music of the 80's. That is funny as **** for some reason. Maybe I just need to get some sleep. :hippy: -
Yes, I know what you mean. It's wonderfully crafted. I'm betting that using that "music only" option on the DVD would be a great way to get a full appreciation for .hack's artwork. Hmm... that's actually not a bad idea! I guess I'll have to try that out and get back to you.
It should definately be good. I have the first .Hack//Liminality DVD, which has the opening from SIGN on it. I have sat and watched that opening at least twenty times just to see the artwork and listen to the music. Both are just that good. :D
Originally posted by Double_B_Daigo Hey, do you remeber the episode when Washu made an android of herself, but it had Mihoshi's brain an they watched that Sailor Moon Rip off and turned of the android while she was distracted?
Wasn't that the android that had the rocket fists and exploding volleyballs? Personally, I like the little "Ego-bots" that show up on Washu's shoulder's to congratulate her for being a genius.

A: I can only think of two times they fought. Episodes 6 and 14. Q: What action causes Bear to realize that Helba is the one that called him into the dungeon in episode 13?
-
Frankly, Hybrid, I am not surprised either, that is part of why this disgusts me. I realize that most people have started to slip inth the "I don't give a ****" mentality, but this takes it too far. Luckily the gun never made it onto the aircraft. The airport security managed to find it beforehand. At least the higher level of security is paying off.

Let me see. Millie is quite amusing most of the time. Also there is one character in Gatekeepers (forgot her name) that seems a lot like Millie, especially when she constantly managed to get her piano smashed every few episodes. "You know, you say some of the strangest things." "Funny, that's just what the cheif says." --Vash & Millie, Trigun :p Edit: Oh, I forgot to mention Deet (sp?) from Vandread. The only character to run around calling the guy she likes "Mr. Alien."

A: Ginkan Q: What is the name given to "Orca of the Azure Sea" and "Balmung of the Azure Sky"?
-
I am sure that by now they have run the fingerprints and the gun's ID number through a criminal database. The only problem is the person who had the gun would have to have been fingerprinted before for the that to work, and the ID number may not turn up much of anything useful. Chances are they may have had a sketch artist work with the family to recreat the face, but once again this only works if the person's face is on file.

Teddy Bear Gun I cannot believe that someone gave a child a teddy bear with a loaded .22-caliber gun inside. What type of messed-up world do we live in? This is just sick.

A: Episode 15-Evidence Q: What is written on the envelope that BT thows in the trash in episode 17?
-
Hmm. I have not watched the show too many times (usually when I flip through channels and land on Comedy Central). I have to admit that it is amusing. It is amazing how many strange, drunk, and strange-drunk people you can meet in one night. Just a side note. Is anyone anxious to see the Friar's Club Roast of Dennis Leary this August?

Ah yes, that old gender guessing game. Fun, isn't it? I am suddenly reminded of the constant debate in .Hack over Tsukasa's gender. Coincidence??? :p :faint: :hippy:

A: Red/Pink flesh styled walls. Tresure chest had a gold ring supported by four "legs" above it. Q: What was Crim's "official" excuse for leaving the Crimson Knights?
-
1) Music. I absolutely love the music. Especially "Obsession" (opening song) and "Fake Wings." 2) Art. The art of Mac Anu is the greatest, and so is the art for Carmina Gadelica (even though it is not shown as often). 3) Plot. Kind of confusing at times, kinda slow at others. Having .Hack//Liminality 1-2 (along with the games) seems to add on to the plot a little.
Originally posted by ladyscorp2006 ok more help needed now i cant beat the big ugly thing that goes around data draining everybody. and this is phase 1 im talkin bout. no matter how high i get my level the stupid thing keeps killin me. jeez i need serious help:flaming:
Well, there are two ways to beat him that I can suggest. 1)Stand and Fight. --How to: Bring a wavemaster and Blackrose (Piros might work too). Have the Wavemaster stand back and heal you as you and your partner slash away at Skeith. Try to catch him with Staccato or Tiger Claws after he moves, so that he does not run in the middle of an attack. Data Drain him when it says you can and then continue fighting. 2)Hide and Heal --How to: I prefere this on because it gives you better control over the healing and ressurecting parts. First load up with all four of the healing poitions (Health, Antidote, Restore, Ressurect). Now grab Blackrose and Piros and head off. Stand back and let the others do the damage while you heal them. If Skeith comes close to you take a few shots and back off. Once more, Data Drain and continue on to victory. Suggestions: Find some Pure Water (in the dungeons of Water element stages) and use them on you party. This will protect them against Skeith's Judgement attack. If some one gets Data Drained by Skeith use Antidote and Restorative to counteract the results. Hope that gives you some ideas. Edit: Oh one more thing. You might want your level to be around 32-34.

There are actually only 26 episodes in the orginal .Hack//SIGN. Episode 27 was an extra used as a marketing gimmick for the DVD's in Japan. I assume episodes 28 & 29 are the same thing.
Originally posted by AzureWolf Is there any reason in particular you are wondering when Helba's seen in the anime? Haha, the only reason I can think of is to find out if they used the same voice actor. I wonder if they do have the same voice (if she speaks at all), and, if she doesn't, why they didn't use the same person.
Because I think she kicks ***. Why else? ;) You are right about wanting to compare the voices, that is why I asked if she ever speaks. Also, they only showed her for a brief period that one time, not nearly enough to compare how the SIGN and game versions look (although I found a site with some pictures).

Wow. I just realized how big this board is. One of the other forums I visit often has 6,200+ members after nearly two years, and at this rate OB might catch up with it eventually. If not for a member at that other forum I would never have seen this site, so I think everyone there should applaud him for bringing me here.

.hack//IZUAL, here is something that I managed to find while searching FAQ/Walkthroughs on a cheat code site. Maybe it can give you a bit more info. One little note though. I believe the description of Moster Level below is wrong. I think it really refers to the number or level of the monsters.
############################################################################### 6.) Keywords ############################################################################### .Hack/Infection uses a unique system which allows you to take 3 words and combine them to create a field. Which keywords you choose will affect what field level, element, structures, dungeon, weather, items, and magic portals that appear in that field. In the beginning of the game, you should really only worry about the field level. The field level will determine what level monsters are on the field. If you are just starting, you should pick a level 1 or 2 field. Here is an explanation of the categories that will be affected by keywords. The keywords are classified as A, B, and C. Orca will explain how to use keywords affectively. Field Type: The environment of the field. There are 8 different kinds. Lava, Jungle, Desert, Snow, Wilderness, Leaf, Earth, and Grassland. Dungeon: Determines how many floors and rooms there are in the dungeon on the field. Dungeons can have between 2-5 floors. Weather: Determines the weather a field has. Weather also includes the time of day. There are 8 different weather types. They are Night, afternoon, sunset, cloudy, raining, thunder, snow, or snow 2 (blizzards). Flatness: Determines if the field will be flat or mountainous. Buildings: Determine the amount of structures in the field. Area level: Tells what level the monsters in the area are. Monster Level: The same as Area Level. I don't know why they put it in here. Items: Tells how rare and valuable the items in the field/dungeon are. Magic Portals: Determines how many magic portals are in the field/dungeon. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Keyword A list- The list of part A keywords and how you get them. Not 100% accurate, but I will try my hardest. Name-----------Weather-----------Area Level-----------Obtained Bursting-------???????----------- +1 Orca Hidden---------???????----------- +1 Black Rose Expansive------???????----------- +2 Board Author-TAO Boundless------???????----------- +2 Mia (E-Mail) Closed---------???????----------- +3 Board Author-Waffle Quiet----------???????----------- +3 Black Rose (E-mail) Plenteous------???????----------- +3 Elk Collapsed------???????----------- +4 Mistral Cursed---------???????----------- +4 Black Rose Buried---------???????----------- +4 Bob Lonely---------???????----------- +5 Linda Great----------???????----------- +5 Black Rose Chosen---------???????----------- +5 Helba Discovered-----???????----------- ?? DVD
Just an amusing side note. I have found a fun and useful trick in the games. After you raise a Grunty take your best characters out to a field and call the grunty. All three characters will ride the grunty (though only Kite will be shown). This will allow you to move around without activating portals or being attacked by enemies. You can also pull a sneak attack on enemies.

.Hack//Liminality (and the games for that matter) all take place after SIGN. The only thing I can think of for a reason as to why Tokuoka (guy from CC Corp) said that no on had come out of a coma is that Liminality takes place immediately after SIGN. This means that Tsukasa would have just come out of the coma, and so Tokuoka would not have know about it. Just a side note about the coma victims (possible spoilers, but has little to do with the story). In .Hack//Infection there is a time that you see Seig talking about a "cat player character" while standing next to the Chaos Gate. If you remember Liminality you know that Seig is the name that Mai's boyfriend uses. This means that he was knocked out after Orca was. (Listed in the .Hack//Mutation DVD in a hidden feature)

.Hack//SIGN has not been cancelled. It is still playing every saturday night at 11:00 CST. You might want to check on Google.com for .Hack//Sign sites. Most have a brief summary of the episodes, and some have full write-ups on everything that happens. I can try to find one that I saw once before that has good summaries and full write-ups, but I will have to find it again first. :p
