I rented this game a few days ago and beat it in an hour and a half. I was disappointed. However Wario still came through. The game really shows what it's got through replay value. Even though I beat it a couple days ago, I'm still having just as much fun with it today. There are also a lot of unlockables so if you do beat quickly like I did, you've still got some work to do. Having to change forms every micro-game is fun. You finish the first micro-game and then you get all excited about what will pop up next. The forms themselves are incredibly goofy (as Shin said) but that makes it all the more fun. Some of them are okay (ex: The Janitor, The Chauffeur) while others make you look like a complete dumbass (ex: The Mohawk, The Elephant). The multiplayer is good. Passing the remote around every turn is kind of annoying (unless you're playing the bomb game - that's fun) but it doesn't really worsen the experience.
Actually, Athiesm is a philosophy with set guidelines, not just the opposition to the idea of the existence of god. Therefore, no, no Athiest would ever say that he'd come back as a tree. Dane could have had the character say "excuse me, I don't believe in God", or anything else, but he said Athiest, therefore displaying an ineptitude to grasp the very foundations of the philosophy. Cook, being a devout Catholic, was, to an extent, using the joke to portray the silliness he believes is inherent to Athiesm, but he botched it by not having the facts straight.
The definition of Atheism is the disbelief in the existence of any deities. And I wouldn't call Dane a devout Catholic. He swears like nothing else. Anyway, my favourite Dane Cook skit (aside from the Atheist one) would have to be one of the parts on Vicious Circle. My friend got the DVD for Christmas and we watched it countless times. Lots of luls. I love when he's talking about women and men in an argument and how the woman always has this secret weapon. Ah, you'd have to watch it but it really is hillarious.
-
Sorry, but how are we going off topic? We're talking about Dane Cook and his joke about Atheism.
-
And secondly, I wasn't offended by his joke, just saddened by his ineptitude to understand Atheism. Sure, the Athiest in his story was rude, but it's just that - a story. Dane Cook created that story. No Atheist would ever say "we come back as trees".
Exactly. It was fake, so therefore why would you think he doesn't know anything about Atheism? Also, an Atheist could say that. So long as you don't believe there is a God, you're an Atheist. And he said "I" would come back as a tree, not "we." Meaning he would believe in reincarnation, not treeincarnation. You can be an Atheist and still believe in reincarnation. EDIT: And that's why the joke didn't show stupidity on Dane Cooks part.

Wouldn't it have been easier to just ask "Why are you on OB?" instead of trying to impress us with your fancy wording? Now you're just confusing people and not getting the answer you were originally looking for.

So, we've got two votes for The Nifty Titans and two votes for The Titans. Seems like JJ is the tie-breaker. What?s your favorite color and why? My favourite colour is white. Duh. I know it's not technically a colour but whatever. It's just so.. empty. I love it. And it matches everything. I also like grey and green. Hehe. What?s your favorite real animal and why? Good question, I really like those giant Tortoise's. They're so slow and yet they've existed for such a long time. However they aren't nearly as cool as... Ostriches! Yes, you heard it right. White's favourite animal is the Ostrich. I think it would really cool if I could throw a saddle on an ostrich on one and ride it but alas, I do not think it's possible. A close third is the Elephant. What?s your Favorite hobby and why? GAMING. Hands down the thing I do most. I game alone, I game with family, I game with friends and I game with strangers. I do it all. PC gaming and console gaming, online and offline gaming. It's all there. If you have one, what is your favorite video game? Super Mario Bros. All Stars. It's got the best of all the mario sidescrollers on one cartridge. You could also get the one that comes with Super Mario World for an even better collection. Do you have a favorite manga artist? If so, why? If not, what is your favorite manga? I think I've read manga once. If you could pick any job in the world, which one would you do? Ostrich jockey. Lays Chips: Can you eat just one? No. :(

Cool, we've all posted. Confirmed: Team Captain: Beth, you seem to be the favourite. Congrats! Team Flag: Here's what'll happen (I hope everyone agrees). KW and I will both create however many flags we want (remember the size restriction). KW will make blue flags (because I know she loves working with blue) and I will make green flags. That'll also settle the colour thing. :) Unconfirmed: Team Colour: Blue and Green. I make green flags and KW makes blue flags. Whichever flag we use decides the colour. Team Name: Re-vote. The Titans or The Nifty Titans. I vote The Nifty Titans.

Sandy, you... you you. Thank god, though. I was starting to get worried. Since there isn't as much a rush, I'd like to get a little more in-dept with my uh.. bio. This is from another thread I posted in... somewhere else...
Whoo. Alright, let me see here...
My name is Stephen (pronounced with a V sound) and I'm 15 years old (16 in November). All my friends call me Ellerby (Ell-er-bee) because it's my last name, it's got a ring to it, and one of my friend's name is Steve. Ellerby, in case you're wondering, is also what sparked Lrb. I originally joined the boards under the name Winged-Kid January 03 and posted an amazing total of 34 times! I mainly stuck around the Arena and even made the famous Elements: The Wonders thread. Which is probably the first or second Elements RP to ever hit OB. After that I decided I wanted a different name, but being the n00b I was, I made a new account instead of contacting the Admin. Thus, Roket was born. Roket was the name of an Albino Porcupine Sonic character that I had created and, of course, the name just had to leave out the "c" to be cool. After an astounding 17 posts, I decided I wanted another name. So, I created §corpio (this is also the last time I ever created an account, don't worry). After a few months of being §corpio, I got my name changed to Lrb. Under Lrb, I made a whole lot of new friends and even started posting in places other than the Arena. In 2005 I went MIA for 6 months due to extreme MMORPG-itus. When I came back, I changed my name to White. This is also when I started posting in Play It, becoming even more active in it these past 2 or 3 months. In real life I enjoy playing road hockey, baseball and lacrosse with my friends (a walking stereotype!). Yes, I reside in Ontario, Canada. And yeah, I loves me some maple syrup. I hate the Winter, though. I'd much prefer Summer. Courses I'm taking mostly revolve around English and Graphics Design. When I get out of High School ([strike]I'm going into Grade 11 tommorow[/strike]) I'll be taking an apprenticeship with a Graphics Designer friend of the family, so I may not be going to College or University for a while. As far as hobbies go, I love video games. MMOs, RPGs, FPSs, Platformers, Fighting, and Sports games are all up there with what I play. I'm a big Nintendo Fanboy, but I still play all of the systems (I think between my two friends and I, we've played every game out there). And I may be a computer/gaming geek, but I sure don't look the part.

I'd also like to nominate SunfallE as our Team Leader. I think that having an older and much more mature member as our captain would help greatly. If she's up to it, I'll vote for her.
Heh, as long as you're going to send us all something in return on White Day.
Silly. White Day is when you send all the chocolate to me. :)

But you said that last three teams have to vote someone off. :/ EDIT: Or is that every challenge except this one? O_o I got confused because you said...
...but the three losing teams will go into the Team Council to vote out one of their members. The voting happens by private messaging me the name of the one you want out.
I thought that meant this challenge aswell. That's my bad. :)

Alright, here's my plan. We all answer Sandy's question with multiple suggestions towards the team. Once we've all posted once, the most popular answers will win and that's what will be posted. I know that some of you may not like this kind of deciding but we don't exactly have time to argue that. Sorry. Team Name: The Absolutes or The Animals. I like the Absolutes because it means flawless, which is what our team will be and I like The Animals because it means that if another team takes a singular animal as their name, it won't matter because we are all of the animals. It helps because than we all get what we want since all our favourite animals are included. :) EDIT: I also like The Titans. A group of greek... just Wiki it. lol Team Colour: I don't care. Any kind of Green or Orange is nice. Team Flag: Personally, I'd like to do the flag. I would do it once everything else was decided and I would talk to all of you while doing it so that everyone is happy. If someone else wants to do the flag that's okay. I'm not going to be stubborn with such little time left. Team Captain: I'll do it. Any objections? Again, I don't want to be stubborn so we can just do Pick a Number or something. A little about myself... I think all I'm basically doing here is introducing myself to SunfallE since the rest of you know me fairly well. And SunfallE has Knowing You, Knowing Me to get to know me, hehe. But for the sake of it... I'm 16, 5'10", dirty blonde hair, blue eyes and male. I enjoy gaming and computers aswell as graphic design. I also have a kitty cat. I was born and raised in Canada and I've lived in this town for about 8 years. I'd like to remind you guys that we are under serious pressure here. If any one of the other teams gets done first, we have to vote eachother off. And I want us to remain a solid team. I don't want any of this alliance stuff that seperated the team I was in last time. We already have an alliance. The five of us. And if we keep true to that we'll never have to vote another off. Once all of you guys have posted I'll post here (or the Team Captain, if they want) with the most popular votes and that's what we'll use. Please hurry!
If you want a challenge, try beating the
fifth dungeon while wearing the zora tunic since it makes you more susceptible to fire and ice attacks. [/spoiler'] I've yet to try that myself, but when I play it again I intend to. ^_^
I did that. But not on purpose. >_> Everything did like twice as much damage and by the end of the dungeon I was wondering why the hell everything was so freaking strong. Shame on me.

An Original Story Prologue: The Undiscovered In the year 2011, very few things have changed in the world. Technology has obviously improved a lot, but nothing life-changing has been invented and everyone just waits for that first hover car to fly overtop of them (which may never even come). There is one boy, however, who dreams not of the future but of the past. He imagines great mythical beasts such as dragons and chimeras fighting brave young knights to the death, Princesses being rescued, wars raging throughout the lands, Great Kings and Evil Kings dueling for power. This is the world he liked to imagine. Of course, just like any young teenager with a large imagination, this boy pictured himself has a fierce knight constantly. He wore glimmering armor that blinded passerby?s, a long sword sharp enough to slice a boulder, a cloth armband around his muscles showing his love for a beautiful lady, and a cape made from dragon scales of a dragon he had slain. Constantly, this young man would escape to this little world he had created in his head to get away from the scary things in life. He wasn?t a loser at school, he didn?t have trouble with girls, and his family wasn?t dysfunctional. What he escaped from was the government. You see, one thing that was implanted into everyone?s lives was a little chip called the MoF Chip. MoF being an acronym for ?Monitoring of Felony?. The chip was supposedly meant to keep everyone safer, if anyone committed a felony the police would investigate for evidence and look through the chips memory banks to see if a suspect was actually a criminal. The chips, you see, recorded every minute of your life. When you were born, the chip was implanted into your head near your eyes and when you died the chip was removed. The chips actually sat attached to the back of your head so if you were completely bald, it would be visible to the naked eye. This was so the Internal Agents of the MoF (or the ?MoFIA?) could check to make sure your chip was in place with ease. People have quickly adapted to the chips. No riots broke out to fight against it, everyone seemed to agree it was fair. It?s not like the government was watching through your chip at all times? At least, that?s what most people believed. ?Some people are too trusting of their Government.? John said. He leaned back in his ratty fold-up chair and pushed his brown hair back. The old man telling him all of this smiled and nodded. ?Wise words for such a young boy,? He said. ?Anyway, this is where the young boy I was telling you about comes into play. You see, John, for some reason his birth certificate was not on record and the government didn?t even ask for him to get a MoF chip.? ?Well, don?t you have a MoF Chip? Don?t I have a MoF chip? Won?t the government see you telling me all of this?? ?Too many questions at once, lad!? the old man laughed and wiped some sweat from his bald head. ?Aye, that would be a problem. But neither of us have chips. You see anyone born before the chip was made must wait until they are twelve. That gives you a full year. Anyone that was 75 or older when the chip was invented also was not given a chip. That is how we?re in the clear. Now, let me finish my story.? And thus ends the Prologue to my first ever original story that isn't based off anything. I didn't get any inspiration from any other books, I just started writing it. The chapters will be a bit longer, obviously, but I wanted to get this posted. At the beginning of chapter 1, we'll really start the story.

That's the one album for those of you who aren't familiar with the Beatles, it's got all their number 1 hits. I love how the number 1 isn't just a solid colour. It's very patched and grungy but bright. I like it. I just don't think you can get cooler than the Master of Puppets art. :/ Yeah, it's a Christian band. Yeah, their music is kind of lame. But the cover looks pretty sweet, lol.

Oh thank god. Somebody got it. I was a little scared about buying it right away and I haven't had time to rent it so i was waiting for somebody here to address my concern with the game. Is the multiplayer good? Cause that's basically all I care about.

Yeah, I quickly discovered the Purple Chu Potion has completely random effects. I just don't bother with them anymore. Not going to take the chance.

1. What name would you like to be used for you during this competition? White would be best. 2. What is your age and gender? Male, 16. 3. What country do you come from? Canada. 4. What areas of OtakuBoards you consider to be your strengths and weaknesses? I believe my two strengths are Video Games/Computers and Social Interaction. My two weaknesses would be Anime/Manga and Creative Writing/Literature. 5. Name one member of OtakuBoards that you consider your friend here. There are a lot of members that I consider to be my friends. However, if I could only name one it would have to be Retribution. We've become fairly tight over the past year. We share a lot of the same interests and he helps me out a lot when I'm working on something. We haven't chatted in a fair bit but that's not to say we aren't pals. 6. What one thing would you take with you to a deserted island? A knife. You can do a lot of things with a knife. You can carve stuff, you can kill animals, you can eat with it, you can start fires with it, and if you go insane, you can kill yourself with it. 7. Why do you want to participate to OtakuBoards Survivor 4? Because I got fifth place last time. I was not satisfied with how I performed on the last challenge. This time around (if I get in) will be different. I want to win. I will win. Game on was the most fun I have ever had in an RPG and Survivor happens to be my favourite TV show. I've also kind of strayed away from the Adventure Square (my original home on OB) and there are a lot of new RPers (members that have only been here for one or two years) I'd like to get to know. EDIT: I'd also like to mention (as my many PMs to Sandy prove) that I've been looking forward to this for a long time. You can tell by my signature that I'm very excited.

Now, before all the OB Fanfic-haters come in and start whining, I'd like to post something positive. I like it! There hasn't been a decent story around the Anthology for a while now, especially not a modern (?) day one, and it's a welcomed change. I look forward to the next chapter (that's how I know if I like it or not, you know). It's very dark, which is great. You're also including a lot of members from OB, which is also great. I think it's good with these fanfics to not revolve the whole story around one person but a whole bunch of people. Even though the story is told by Boss, you can still do that well.

Sorry about the crapiness. I ran out of creativity half way through, lol. Tell me if you can think of anything to make it better.

Sorry this took so long. I spent so much time proof reading and editing it. I just didn't want it to look rushed. Also, the event idea isn't final and I would love to have a thread where the community could submit ideas to improve on the idea or something (even just letting people PM me on improvements would be neat if the thread is too much).
Dear OtakuBoards Community, During my 2 months as an Event Master, I learned many things about myself. However, I also took time to realize some things about my opponent. I discovered many traits of his that I would like to share with you, the people. Sandy is an incredibly outgoing individual. He?s strong willed and passionate about his work. While he may be a bit hard-headed at times, it?s all in the love for the community. He likes to let people know that he is the best and I respect that a lot. Sandy has proven in the past that he is very organized when it comes to handling big events with large amounts of people (showing this quality in previous OB Survivors, Mafia and Labyrinth). I do not think choosing Sandy as an Event Master is a bad idea at all. He is very qualified and I am fully behind him leading the Community Events forum. Sincerely, White

1: How do you feel about your own performance throughout Otaku Idol 2? How has it changed, for better or worse, over the past two months? When I started this competition I wasn?t ambitious at all. I basically knew I wanted the position and that it might be hard to get. I?ll be honest, I didn?t work at my fullest potential and it kills me to admit that. By the time Gavin was removed from the competition I was all into it. I was giving everything 110% and I was determined to win. In fact, I still am. Actually, I?m more ambitious about this now than ever before. It seems that with each passing round I realize how badly I want to help the OtakuBoards community by taking Shy?s place when he resigns. Even though I wasn?t very ambitious at the beginning, I soon picked myself up and ran full speed towards the finish line. I've had to keep that speed at a regular pace because if I stumble just a little bit, Sandy may march right past me and take gold. 2: What have you learned about the OtakuBoards community during your time in the competition? What have you learned about being an Event Master? The OtakuBoards community is very particular about their next Event Master. I feel like they are a full panel of judges that I?m constantly trying to prove why I?m a better choice than Sandy. The community has an opinion. I really expected most people just to keep quiet and find out who would win, but these people have decided that if one of us (Sandy or I) are going to be the next EM, we?re going to be the perfect candidate. I?ve learned that you have to be approachable, lenient, and open to any ideas. There are a lot of members on OtakuBoards that have great ideas. The Event Master has be to open to all of these ideas and they have to be sociable so that they can easily communicate with the inventor of the idea. I also would like to mention that while neither Sandy nor I have learned everything it takes to be an Event Master, I?ve got a lot more room to grow. I?m sixteen years old? Sandy is twenty-two. I?m not sure how much longer he?ll be here but I can almost guarantee that, as a young impressionable teenager, I can adapt to the position much better. 3: If you could go back in time using some sort of fantastical internet time machine, what is the single thing you would have done differently during your time as Event Master? I would have made Mafia more accessible. I think it?s great that the people who took part loved it but I would have liked for the entire community to have loved it like that. My main guideline that I set for myself when making this new rule was to make sure that anyone could join and that they could join with ease. 4: What is the most positive thing you can take from your experience as Event Master? I?ve gotten to become really tight with a lot of the members I never even knew before. I talk to all OtakuBoards visitors, new or old, without judging them. I also now realize how difficult being an Event Master is and how much must be put into each and every event (something I never caught wind of during OtakuBoards Scavenger Hunt). 5: Looking over both completed events, which do you feel was the best? Of previous Community Events, which do you feel was the best and why? I?m going to be completely honest here. I truly do believe that Mafia was the better event in the end. Labyrinth and Mafia shared many of the same faults. They both weren?t easily accessible, they didn?t appeal to all groups of members, they both had a lot of RP attributes, and they both weren?t community events. These are the main problems that both events had and I think that on top of these faults, Labyrinth had even more than Mafia did. Of previous Community Events I would have to say I?ve always favored the Nifty Fifty. Each year it calls in more members (new and old) to choose things (not specifically members, which I think is great) that they thought were great and that?s really cool. It?s also not a matter of just voting and seeing the outcome. So popularity has nothing to do with being niftified. 6: If you were given the power to decide the outcome of Otaku Idol 2, what would it be and why? If I had the power to decide the outcome of Otaku Idol 2, I would make both Sandy and I losers. Let?s be serious here, guys. Shy is an amazing Event Master who knows the qualities it takes inside out. He basically invented the position and I don?t think anybody could ever take his place. Just by looking at past events, you can tell how passionate Shy is about the community. He loves to be involved with OtakuBoards and it sucks to him resign. I don?t want that. So, if I had the choice I would make Shy the winner.
Otaku 101 It?s come to my attention lately that here at OtakuBoards, we have an alarming amount of new members. A lot of these guys have been here for only a few months and I thought it would be great if we had some sort of on going program where older and more Otaku-involved members could take one new member under their wing and teach them the ways of OtakuBoards. This would include serious things like Post Styles, how to post in a respected format, where to post what and when, what not to post (ever), and much sillier (but still important things) like topics to stay away from, and why people bring up certain oldies so much. A lot of this stuff could be explained much easier with the brand new Otakupedia, as well. To figure out what new members would go with what older members (unless they requested to be with one another), I would let them do little quizzes and the most compatible members would be paired together to teach/be taught. On top of all this learning and big brother kind of stuff, there would be monthly (or bi-weekly, or even bi-monthly, I haven?t decided) competitions (a community event just isn?t the same without at least a pinch of competition). You wouldn?t be forced to enter (but I would suggest it strongly since it would bring the two members closer) and the competitions would be fairly simple (like writing a collaborative short story with your partner). To wrap up, I think that this idea could really go far with the aid of the OtakuBoards community (even while it?s running changes could be made). The event would be very easy to organize and could even run in the background while other main events are going on.

Yay, I'm almost done the game. Though that's also a nay. I want to finish this story and see this "crappy" ending that everyone seems to call it on GameFAQs but I also want the adventure to continue. D:
So, I just killed Zant. Or Midna did, rather. I think that Zant's character was really cool. He's just such an "emo" (as Shinmaru so perfectly put it) tool. The whole finding Ganon as his God thing was pretty cool, I thought. I also think that Midna being the TP was a nice touch. It really cleared some things up for me (though she looks dumb without her helmet on in Imp form). The ending battle was... awesome. It was incredibly easy, but at the same time I thought it was rather fitting. I wouldn't it to be the Boss of the Game battle, but it was good. I enjoyed it. Second favourite boss battle so far (next to the Dragon).
I can't wait to get started on the final dungeon. Ooooh, mystery.

Oh, god. So many movies. Let's see here...

Transformers
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Pirates of the Carribean 3
Epic Movie
Spiderman 3
Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer
Bridge to Terabithia
300
Shrek the Third
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
Evan Almighty
Zodiac
Hostel: Part II
Ghost Rider
Just to name a few. All of these movies have trailers you can check out (some are only teasers, but they're there) so it's not like I'm just picking them because of their name (aside from Pirates, haha). :)
There's a game I'm thinking of... I know it looks incredible and I know it's highly anticipated... but I can't remember the name. It's Bio-something and it takes place in like a bomb-shelter under the ocean that was built in the 30's, but then there was a leaking of radioactive kagiggers turns them all into mutants and stuff... and then you go down there and start, like, killing them for whatever reason. Looks really cool, anyone know what I'm talking about?
Bioshock? If that's the game you're talking about you have good taste. I can't wait to see this game in action (the trailer was pretty impressive and even won Trailer of the Year at GameTrailers.com).

XD What's Your Favorite Hobby? My absolute favourite hobby is most definitely gaming. There is a reason I'm the moderator of Play It! Seriously, I think I spend as much time gaming (with friends and stuff, I'm not a loner) as I do having a life (which is shockingly a lot). I'm mainly a console gamer, but I also have been known to play the newest PC games aswell, making me adaptable to anything. I play retro and new games too. I think just today I spend a couple hours playing Super Mario Bros. Good stuff. What do you think your best personality trait would be? I'm very approachable. I'm not intimidating at all and I'm very kind when talked too. This makes it easy not only online for things such as OtakuBoards, but also offline, when there are new people at school. Ever been at a party not knowing anyone? I'm the guy that comes up to you and talks to you just to make you feel more comfortable.
