In case you don't get why mine is unique, it's because the background is old papyrus but the text is HTML. Creepy, no?
I have two questions for White.

Is the Priest ever of any use? (From my standpoint, I can't say that it is.)
Did you issue roles by random assignment?

1. Yes! If you ever thought your ally was to be killed you could have blessed them. :3 It also makes things more interesting since there's a chance you could accidently bless Mafia which would totally screw you guys over, haha. 2. All the roles were picked from a hat. :)

So, guys. 2007 will be a huge year for the gaming industry. What are your most anticipated games/gaming accessories/whathaveyou of 2007? I'm so happy I've got a job because I just know that by the end of this year I'll be poor. Let's see here...

Super Mario Galaxy
Wario Ware: Smooth Moves
WiiPlay+Wii Remote
Super Smash Bros. Brawl
Sonic and the Secret of the Rings
Probably a crapload of VC games
I'm also getting a 360 this year (Wii is great but everybody needs a little Gears of War online in their life) along with a bunch of games (Gears of War, Dead Rising, Halo 3, Fable 2 (?) particularly interest me) so that'll drain a lot of money. 1) What day is your birthday? November 19th, 1990. 2) What is your zodiac sign? A powerful Scorpio. 3) How does your zodiac sign describe your personality? Determined and forceful Emotional and intuitive Powerful and passionate Exciting and magnetic 4) Does the description of your zodiac actually describe you? Why? It actually does, which is creepy. I'm very determined and I can be incredibly forceful when I need to. Yeah, I'm basically everything there to some extent but mostly magnetic and exciting. I just.. yeah. lol 5) How does your zodiac sign PWN over the rest? Come on. It's a freaking Scorpion.

The OtakuBoards Nifty Fifty of 2006 (Nominations Thread)
Ellerby replied to Shy's topic in General Discussion
Charles
I also nominate myself because I do not have to post to be nifty. My backlog of posts contains enough niftiness to last about a decade or so.
QFT. He's still got about 9 more years before that niftiness wears off. Play It I nominate Play It for keeping me at OtakuBoards during the hard times. Seriously that gaming drought at the beginning of '06 sucked hardcore and without Play It I don't think I could have made it. The few members that do post in Play It regularly really know their stuff and I learn so much about gaming every time I view a post. I just... I love Play It so much. *tear* Pirates or Ninjas? Go ahead and read through that thread. I dare you. It's filled with piles and piles of nonsense. However, it's probably the most fun I've had defending something ever. I wish dearly that Your Mother didn't ruin it for everyone because we weren't really doing anything wrong until he came along. However Pirates won in the end, anyway. I guess it doesn't help that the Ninja-Fanboys made it so easy. Clarity Since it's mostly a secret between all of the (regular) moderators, you're just going to have to take my word for it when I say it's nifty. Shy Creator of the Nifty Fifty, the Legionnaires and Otaku Idol 2 (plus more), organizer of OtakuBoards Scavenger Hunt. I think that right there is deserving of a spot on the Nifty Fifty. However Shy goes above and beyond simply organizing events. he contributes to the community regularly and makes sure things are in order. He's also fun to talk to and is very approachable (a trait that all mods should and do have). Hardwired Online Hardwired Online was originally created with the name Play It Friend Codes (or something like that) and was made with the intention of being a sort of hub for OB gamers to share their friend codes so they could play their DS' together. It was sweet for a long time but there was something missing. Other consoles. And thus Hardwired Online was born. Combining the idea of the WiFi friend codes thread along with 360 Gamer Tags and MMORPG listings. It now serves as a thread where you can fight, face, or fish with other OBers no matter what you play your games on. My Cat First seen here, after posting that picture I quickly got a lot of comments from a lot of members. She seems to be everyones hero, including non-OBers. Misty usually sleeps behind or on me while I visit OtakuBoards so I'm pretty sure that if she could read she'd know as much as I do about OB. -
Congratulations to SunfallE for winning the first ever Labyrinth Event! If you guys want, I can make a list of who everyone had for their characters but I need you to PM me them first.

There was a loud, thundering noise and the ground started to shake. The sole survivor panicked and ran as fast as she could, not know where she was going. As she looked over her shoulder, bricks upon bricks collapsed to the ground as the walls of the labyrinth crumbled. She screamed in terror and looked up ahead again-- *thwack!* A large rock knocked Janet out conscious. When she woke up, she was not where she expected. Everything was white and a continuous beeping was the only sound in the room. Janet rubbed her eyes a little bit and realized that she was in a hospital. Was it all a dream? Obviously not or else she wouldn't be in the hospital. She grabbed the chart on the end of her bed and read the name a the top. "Falle, Sunny?" she pondered. She figured it was the name of the last person to be in the room and realized that person had made it home alright. Looks like I'm not the only one who won something today.

Generally I'd have to say that most Video Games that are based off of Animes (much like ones that are based off kids movies) suck. So much. There are few exceptions (some DBZ fighting games, umm... that's all I can think of). Also from what I've seen from the trailers of this game it looks like crap. Fullmetal is probably the only anime I like and it just didn't appeal to me. Gametrailers.com said that the game would only be good if you're a hardcore fan of the show and just want to be in the boots of the characters. Buy at your own discretion. Also: I'm going to merge this with the original Fullmetal DS thread. Before making a new game thread please check over the Play It Directory. Thanks. :)

Sub-title: Eternal Wings And The Lost Ocean 1. Released in 2004 for the Nintendo Gamecube and a sequel was made in 2006 2. Advanced battle system combined RPG elements with card-battle strategy creating something unique and addicting.
You know what? This is a really neat idea but it has a flaw. If the subtitle is long enough just about anyone can cut and paste it into google and find the game on their first try. I guess we could just say try not to be really specific? Anyway, the game is Baten Kaitos. Here's mine: Sub-title: Racers 1. Released in 1994 for the SNES. 2. The Racers is the second part to the only word in the game title. It's one long word. :) Bonus Hint! Probably one of the most overlooked SNES games.

1. Who is your favorite member on OtakuBoards and why? I don't really have a "favourite" member. I mean... for a while Retribution was my best OB friend but he kind of disappeared. I guess if I absolutely had to choose I would say Charles. He's got a great personality (witty, intelligent) and he's just so damn admirable! The things he's done for OB are intensely awesome and I really think that's cool. 2. Which staff member, past or present, do you look to as your OB role model? I've got two. Charles and Generic NPC #3. Charles I've basically already stated and Generic NPC #3 is for a lot of the same reasons. Plus they're both gamers and.. well.. gamers rock. :/ 3. [To White specifically] Why did you kill Labyrinth? Yeesh, lol. This makes it sound like I meant to do it. I didn't, really. I did everything Sandy would have done and more. The only thing Sandy did was post once in a while to keep things moving. I did that. I also made a twist to encourage people to post. There's not a lot more I can do but it's not like I've given up. I mean crap, I want to win this! 4. Which staff member, present, do you feel is the weakest in their position? Why? Well, this is a tough question. I think every single moderator does their job just fine and is online at least once a day to check up on their appointed forum. However I'm going to assume that such an answer isn't satisfying enough for whoever asked the question so I'll pick someone. If I had to choose someone it would be r2vq. He hasn't been online since the 13th where everyone else was last on today. He did say that his computer is on the fritz and he might not be on for a while so it's not like he's just disappeared or anything, though. (Quick note: When r2vq is online daily like he normally is, he does a great job of moderating) 5. What do you do for fun when offline? I go to the movies, work, play video games, go out with friends and party. 6. What do you feel is your greatest accomplishment as an OtakuBoards staff member? Well, I am quite proud of a few things. First was creating that rules thread. I think that the old rules needed some serious updating and I did that well. Second is the decoration I added to Play It. You may not have noticed but I added logos and such to all the stickies. The other two could have been done as a normal member but.. eh. Third would be getting my banner to win the Christmas contest and fourth would be getting this far in OI2. :) 7. What do you feel is your greatest failing as an OtakuBoards staff member? Erm... I don't really think I've failed in any sense. I guess the biggest thing would be sometimes when someone posts a new game thread I forget to add it to the Play it directory. Heh. 8. Do you have any pets? I do, actually. Tis a cat named Misty. 9. Which trait do you think is the most important one for an Event Master to have? How do you epitomize that trait more than your competition does? I think the best trait to have is patience. You have to be really patient with people who don't cooperate. If someone is getting on your nerves you can't just freak out on them. You have to talk it over either in private or just say "Aah, forget about it" and leave it be. Sandy is incredibly touchy. If someone says something about him he'll react ferociously and won't give up until someone else steps in. Sometimes I react badly as well, but after one or two posts I resolve the matter. 10. Do you still even want to be Event Master? Hell yes.

Best Nintendo DS Game - New Super Mario Bros. I'm a hardcore Mario lover and I've got to say this is probably the best Mario game to hit shelves in a long time. Nintendo did a great job of reviving such an old genre and it's replay value is incredible. Best GameCube and Wii Game - The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess A very long game with a great storyline to keep you on edge the whole way. It just proves that the Zelda franchise will be around for a long time. Yeah... I haven't really been captivated by many games this year and I don't have a 360 so I can't really decide that one.

Yeah.. I guess since nobody posted within the time limit and we can't have everyone dying at once I'll just let you guys continue as if nothing happened.
Is that something that they altered for the Wii version? Because I have the one for the GameCube and if you howl the melody when you are next to the plant that you play when you are in human form to call Epona...Well...
Epona does come to you when you are a wolf too. You can even speak to her in your wolf form just like you can also speak to the other animals in the game. The only difference is you can't ride her when you are a wolf.
Of course this only works after
you get Epona in the game again, until then it doesn't work for Link in either form.

I said that like the day I got the Wii so yeah.. things have changed. :p
How is that last shot: " BADNESS" inducing?
I think he was referring to the fact that Link is fighting on horseback and there are swarms of enemies around him. When NPC posted that it was around the time that the whole horseback thing was announced. I think it's badness inducing.

The Nunchuk[/b'] Yes, yes, it's an awesome concept, and it does make the spin attack far more useful. But it really needs decent direction-recognition, especially when combined with the shield attack. I really got tired of doing a spin attack when I wanted to smack someone in the face with a shield.
You know I've actually never had that problem. When I push the Nunchuk forward to do a shield attack, he does a shield attack. When I shake the Nunchuk to do a spin attack, he does a spin attack. I'm not really sure how you managed to do this. O_o
The Wiimote Speaker[/b'] By the gods, that thing sounds like crap. I can only hear that giggle so many times before I want to beat Midna over the head with something (although it's still not as annoying as Navi was in OoT).
As much as I would love to defend this point I know it's not possible. The speaker is pretty low quality and sounds quite tinny. On Wii Sports it's okay but not Zelda. I turn it down on Zelda. :/
The Graphics[/b'] I'm sorry, but I've played Starfox Adventures, Resident Evil Zero, and Twin Snakes for the GCN. There's just no reason for Zelda to look like that, especially for the Wii version. Numerous games designed solely for the GCN showcased what it was actually capable of graphically, and TP is a bit of a disappointment in that area.
I'm sorry, but this is a port. Not a game designed for the Wii from start to finish. And as far as the graphics go as a Gamecube game, I think it's much better than most of the others. The art is simply fantastic.
Non-Orchestrated Music[/b'] Yes, it sounds good, I'll give it that. What Zelda doesn't? But it could sound way better, and it's about time Zelda caught up with other series in this area.
...yeah. lol
Link is NOT Right-handed[/b'] I understand that it was done to go along with the way the Wiimote worked, since the majority of players are right-handed, but darn it, Link's not, and yes, that bugged me through the entire game (a fact which my poor girlfriend can back up).
...lol. I really could care less. I never noticed that Link was left handed until it was announced he'd be right-handed in TP. It didn't bother me a bit and if anything, I'm happy they did it. It just wouldn't feel right if to swing the sword I had to swing the Nunchuk. :/

I downloaded and tried out the Internet Channel. It's neat but I probably won't use it very often. The only time I can see myself using it is if both my computers are taken and the laptop is gone. And even then I'd probably just mod Play It and that's it. It's actually pretty easy to type. Much faster than I had expected. I'm not typing from my Wii, though. With the Wii Internet you can't have music and MSN. :p
I like both, the dodging arrows and birds while on horseback while taking them down and the picking them off at a distance is fun too. It?s also fun to roll and dodge the arrows when you are up close. It?s never a cheat to use your tools to your advantage. ;)
Eh. It just ruins the mood since it feels unnatural compared to the rest of it's environment. I don't know.. it just ruins it for me. :p

Nobody knows exactly how it happened. All they know is that for one second... one second a few people turned their backs to her and all of the sudden she was dead. Presumably a large tree trunk had fallen from the side and crushed her body... but the others knew better. That tree was cut down. Whatever the case Lita was now dead. And only four players remained.

RPG Super Smash Brothers Melee: Reunion [PG - V, possible L]

Fight 2 Mario VS Mewtwo Introduction Post Mario sat lazily on the ground with his legs spread out. He removed his hat and wiped some sweat from his brows. He sighed heavily and glanced around. Link and Falco had already left to fight. "Mamma mia..." he grumbled. "Looks look I have to take on Mewtwo to get through here. I've just got to win. Bowser and I are the only ones who know how to defeat Smithy and if I know Bowser (which I do) he's probably forgotten." Kirby waddled over to the plumber and plopped himself on his behind. He stared at the depressed jump man and poked him in the side. "I'm going soon but... try not to be sad, okay?" the pink marshmallow said cheerfully. He jumped to his feet and was about to walk away until Mario stopped him. "Wait!" he yelped, standing on his feet. He took off his trademark hat and handed it to his comrade. "Bowser might be more intimidated if you're wearing this. Especially if you've got the fire balls on top of that. Swallow it and receive my power for the fight." "Thanks!" cheered Kirby. He sucked up the hat and swallowed it whole. In about two seconds he turned completely white and then returned to his normal colour but with his own Mario hat on his head. "Good luck." said Mario sternly. Kirby nodded and ran off. Time for my own battle. the red-clad hero thought to himself. Right after that he was transported onto an arena that was very familiar to him. Great Bay. At the other end of the stage stood a white and purple Pokemon meditating. "Ready?" Mario shouted. Mewtwo opened his eyes, spun around and landed on his feet. Indeed.
