My day has been pretty stressful. I have this huge very time consuming project for my graphic design class. We basically have to take a photo of ourselves, and duplicate it by drawing and coloring in adobe illustrator. We're talking photo realism here; zooming in all the way and drawing shapes around patches of pixels and filling them color. When you view the original and the illustrator file, the look pretty much the same. That's how detailed it is. Man, I am going to crack.

Firstly, Watch your tenses, bucko. :p
Looks like I missed one. At first, I had all "I"s in the sentence, and then, I switched to "you"'s. And in reply to your post, I would like to point out that I already acknowledged what the law is, but I suggested that it be changed.

I was with you until you got to this point. And I can't say that I agree. Even if you aren't making any profit by spreading those copies around, you are still essentially robbing the artists. Who's going to bother to buy the CD's if they know they can simply get a free copy? I can see making one for yourself, but to hand out to friends? No deal. That's still wrong. Even if you're not reselling it. Because in the end, the song doesn't belong to you, the music isn't yours in the sense that you have the right to turn around and give it to someone else.
Well, I would have to disagree with you there. I think that If you buy something, it is yours and you can do what you want with it. Sure, the song isn't yours, so you have no right to claim it as your intellectual property and make money off of it. However, the recording belongs to you, so you should be able to do what I want with it, including making copies. It doesn't matter that less people would buy the CD if they could get copies. There's all sorts of things people can do so they don't have to buy things and make others profit. People can make their own clothes, or grow their own crops, but the government doesn't force us to buy from those who make a living off selling these things. I know you're again going to mention that the music is the artist's intellectual property, but as I already said, I think that the recording is yours and you should be able to do what you want with it. Even if it results in less sales for the record company and the artist.

Several people have already stated that just because you can't afford music, or can't obtain it legally for whatever reasons, it doesn't give you the right to break the law and illegally download it or makes copies of CDs. So here's another question: Do you believe the law should be changed when it comes to reproducing and distributing materials such as books, music, videos, and software? I don't think that making copies of things is stealing. Stealing is walking into a store and taking a CD without paying for it. Why should anyone stop us from making copies of what we already have? If I buy a desk, and decide to build duplicate, what's wrong with that? Why should and an artist have to make money after every instant that someone somewhere in the world hears a recording of their song? It doesn't make sense to me. Because it's their "intellectual property"? And I'm not just saying this because artists have "fame and fortune" already (because I know not all of them are that successful or make lots of money), but because I simply don't think this is a fair or right way for people to earn a living. A doctor or a cashier, or a custodian all get payed for each time they do work, and meanwhile an artist is not only payed every time someone buys a CD, but people are required by law to buy them in order to keep the music. I personally believe that companies should simply sell mp3s or CDs and pay the artist royalties as usual, because they are making money off them. But I don't think there should be laws against making copies of CDs or mp3s unless people are reselling them. I believe the copyrights should only apply to the money-making aspect of music (or books, videos, software, etc). If people want the original CD with the CD label and the high quality recording, they will pay for it. If they can obtain a free version by copying or downloading from someone, they should be allowed to do so.

I am a tea enthusiast, but I have not had the chance to try many kinds of tea. We usually drink Tetley's Orange Pekoe at my house, because my mom doesn't really like other teas, except for green tea ocassionally. We also like to add mint leaves to the pot (but they must be fresh leaves, so we grow mint in the front yard). In the winter, we use dried sage leaves. So our winter tea is distinctly different from our summer tea. My mom doesn't always like sage, so sometimes she has plain tea in the winter. I love sage though. It has a very nice aroma and adds a mild sweetness to the tea (even though I already add plenty of sugar to my cup). Anyway, here's my family's "recipe" for Orange Pekoe tea. We have this 20 year old stainless steel tea pot that fits 2 cups (500 mL). I use two tea bags and add about two tablespoons of sugar to the pot. I then add a handful of washed mint leaves (in the winter, a few dried sage leaves). Then I fill the pot to the top with boiling water and stir it for about ten seconds. I like my tea weak, so I pour my cup right away, and leave the rest of the tea in the pot for a bit longer before I pour everyone else's tea. I also like my tea sweet, so in addition to the sugar that I have already added to the whole pot (which isn't very much), I add another teaspoon or two to my cup. I am the main person who makes tea in my family, because my tea tastes very good. I told everyone they just have to stick to the recipe to make it taste good, but as they tell me, my hands are apparently "blessed" (yeah right, they're just too lazy to go make it themselves). Anyway, I also like Earl Grey, Ceylon, and Oolong tea. Oh, and you should try Jasime Green tea. It's really good, and it's the only form of green tea I like. I've never had Chai tea, but I'd lime to try it. As for coffee, I'm okay with it, but only with lots of sugar, but I prefer tea. The only coffee I buy outside is Timhorton's French Vanilla or English Toffee cuppucinos though, because they're nice an sweet.

Pro Tip: Don't use Wikipedia for research. It's fun for just finding out things, but it's not considered a hard and fast research tool, since it's so prone to change. It's references are fine though, but most articles don't even have those. Google is your friend.[/size']
However, it's still a good idea to use wikipedia a springboard for your research, because you will find terms and ideas you didn't know, and when you use google in your search, you'll have a better set of keywords to work with.

I love Yakitate!! Japan. I recently discovered this anime. It's a great series, and it's quite a shame that there is no hub for it on theotaku.com. In anime, and Yakitate!! Japan is no exception, even the most normal, boring everyday things can be made exciting, including bread. The show is absolutely hilarious, especially Kawachi Kyousuke, with his trademark "nan yate?!!!" ("what was that?" or "what did you say?"). Anyway, as Panda said, the anime makes use of a lot of puns, as well as parodies of other animes. There's a Naruto and Dragonball Z puns to name a few, and also a pun of Lord of the Rings. Anyway, I'm wondering if anyone else has seen this anime and what they think of it.

My worst vomiting experience, like Dodeca, did not involve my own puke. My younger brother had eaten way too much and began to feel ill, so he rushed to the bathroom and thankfully managed to reach the sink (I don't think it?s a good idea to puke in the toilet if you don't want toilet water splashing up on your face). However, this time, I certainly wish he had used the toilet in stead of the sink. My brother had not only eaten way too much, he had been eating so fast he hadn?t even chew properly, and therefore...yes, you guessed it, the sink clogged up with large chunks of food. My brother had no clue how to unclog the sink (being absolutely useless with household chores) and so he called me to help him out. So I gathered up all my courage, rolled up my sleeves, and reached into the depths of the unknown to pull out what was clogging the sink (without gloves :animedepr ). The thing that was clogging the sink was a huge chunk of that fat from the leg of lamb we had that day, and also a few chunks of meat that hadn't been chewed at all. I gave my brother the most horrible glare I could give him, and promised to flay him alive someday. I flushed the chunks down the toilet, scoured my hands raw, and left him to clean up the sink (and the whole bathroom as punishment).

Congress Passes Detainee Interrogation Bill

It?s also sickening as he?s turning the US into a police state and all he is doing is making others in the world hate us. It?s frustrating since I and many other Americans had no say in the matter. I know if I had any say I would not have approved of what he has done. I wish he was kicked out now instead of later when his term is up in a year. Who knows what other idiotic decisions he will make that will just cause more problems.
I can't really answer that for you, but you can start off researching about the biology that can be found in that sea, or, you can go on another route and research about the various different jellyfish species that are from that area. If you are in college, I'm sure that there are plenty of teachers to ask that. Or if you want, you can try to go to one of those homework help sites and look there. Good luck!
I've done extensive searches in google, well worded searches, and found nothing. I looked up arabian sea wildlife, but only vertebrates were on the list on animals. I have no info on the creature except for its description and the place I saw it. If only I can find a complete listing of species both invertebrates and vertebrates found in the arabian sea.
-
I've been trying to find information about a certain aquatic species. I don't even know its name, and I would really appreciate anyone help in findind out the name of this species. When I was around 5 or six, my family went on a camping trip by the arabian sea, and this is where I saw this species. I think they might be some sort of jellyfish (that's what evryone called them). Hundreds of them would be washed up on sore. The sea was literally crawling with them, so we could'nt go swimming at all. They are a bright, sky blue color, and even more jelly like than jelly fish, and unlike regular jellyfish, they have stubby flat triangular arms. They are pretty much just flat, sun shaped blue creatures. Does anyone know what their scientific name is? Are they jelly fish or some other species?

My only wish is that he felt a lot of pain before dying.
My brother was quite pissed when he found out that the gunman died of a self inflicted wound (he shot himself in the head after being hit several times in the body by the police). The coward. He knew he was going to die painfully if the police peppered him with bullets, so he finished himself off quickly to avoid it. I know I sound vengeful, but I also wanted him to die a terrible and painful death for what he did. There is no excuse or justification whatsoever for what he did, so he deserves a painful death. People can't take out their social problems on the world. So what if he was a loner and had no friends? I was a loner and I was bullied and teased and always felt like an outcast in school, and the few friends I had weren't always nice, but you don't see me trying to kill people.
-
This is terrible, just terrible. I was brought to tears reading about this tragedy. What a sick, twisted individual that gunman was. It makes me so angry that someone would actually do that, just walk into a building and open fire at innocent people. It's because of these types of people than none of us can ever truly feel safe. Can you imagine the feeling of helplessness those students had, being trapped in a building with a gunman sporting a semi-automatic? If he had a regular hundgun or pistol some of the bolder students might have been able to subdue him. But those poor students didn't stand a chance. So far it has been confirmed that one female student died, and 18 year old girl named Anastasia De Souza. The police have been doing an ivestigation on the gunman. His name is Kimveer Gill and he was 25 years old. He's obsessed with goth culture and had an online diary at vampirefreaks.com, where he posted some disturbing journal entries and pictures. The following quote is from cbc.ca:
In his profile on vampirefreaks.com, a website devoted to Goth culture, Gill called himself "Trench," and wrote: "You will come to know him as the Angel of Death." "Work sucks ? School sucks ? Life sucks ? What else can I say?" he wrote. "Metal and Goth kick ***. Life is like a video game, you gotta die sometime." A photo gallery accompanying the profile includes pictures of Gill brandishing a Beretta CX4 Storm semi-automatic rifle. In the last seven photos, he is wearing a black trench coat and holding the rifle. The caption below the last photo reads, "Ready for Action."
Here are some pictures he posted on his profile, showing off his weapons: What a cowardly disgusting person. He killed people for the joy of it. I hope he rots in hell. One thing that bothers me is that "police dismissed the idea that terrorism played a role in the gunman's attack". What that gunman did is nothing but terrorism. He wanted to kill and terrify people, and worse still, for no reason at all. Is terrorism only attributed to those who commit it for political, religious or ethnic reasons? It makes no sense.

I never knew much about Steve Irwin. I didn't even know his name and I just knew him as the "crocodile hunter", and that he handled dangerous animals. I heard about the show but never watched because I simply never had a channel that showed it. Anyway, he seemed like a pretty cool fellow. Especially the australian accent. My brother came to me this morning and said, "yo, the crocodile hunter died, eh?". I guessed he was killed by a crocodile, and my brother told me it was a sting ray. It's quite dissapointing he died so early in life.

Looks like we got alot of random topics these days, so I'll add another. So, what is your worse barfing experience? You know, lots of puke and/or big mess. For me, it would have to be a few years ago when I was watching Fear Factor. One of the three scary tasks is eating or doing something really gross. Well, when I was watching it, they had to eat uncooked pig snouts, hair and all, and pig sinews and stuff. After a few minutes of watching, I just couldn't take it anymore and I felt sick. I rushed to the bathroom and barfed five consectutive times until there was nothing left in my stomach and I was barfing up acid instead. Well, lets here some gross stories.

My least favorite soda would probably be anything diet. It just tastes nasty. Next to that, root beer. My favorite soda would be anything orange, whether it be crush, c-plus or store brands, though I notice that store brands while usually as good as the name brands don't tasts as good whenn it comes to orange grape and cream soda. Seven-up and ginger-ale are pretty darn good too. I have to say I think the difference between pepsi and coke is very small, and I find it weird how people say one or the other totally sucks. In my opinion, pepsi is a bit less sweet and somewhat more fizzy, and I like it a teeny bit more than coke because of that. I like soda alot, but I know how bad it can be for you, especially that acid, so I don't drink it often. My older sis refuses to drink it unless its the only thing available. I drink water when I'm really thirsty, but only a small amount at a time. I simply can't drink an entire glass of water, like I can with pop or other drinks. I drink mostly minute maid punches with meals, not the healthiest stuff as it has lots sugar, but still sufficient nutrients. And I like tea with snacks and breakfast. But a drink I can't pass up for anything else, is a good ol glass of chocolate milk.

I'm was born and raised as a muslim. I studied my religion and it makes sense to me, so I choose is Islam as my way of life. The Quran has proven to me that is is in fact a divine revelation, that no human could have written it, and that in itself proves to me that God exists, because if there was no God, the Quran is impossible.

I'd say I am a healthy weight for my age and height, about 117 pounds, but I certainly need to execise to even out the fat build some muscle (my arms are way too skinny!). I'm really out of shape, and when I do execise, I have the highest heartrate of anyone I know. I gained weight when I started univerisity, because I got less excercise and drank more coffee and tea, and being the sweet-tooth I am, I add too much sugar. I do think I should lose a bit of weight though, just a few pounds, but I haven't had the initiative to excercise.

You see, these militants do not have a tangeable base per say, they're essentially nomads, going from town to town with their truck and missiles, striking from wherever the hell they want. So while nobody in your Dad's neighborhood has given Israel trouble, Hezbollah probably has, and that has to be enough to strike when faced with an unconventional enemy.
Umm, my Dad lives in Gaza, not lebanon. Hamas isn't firing missiles, Hizbollah is, and therefore there is no reason to bomb any civilian houses in Gaza, because there are no rockets being fired from Gaza at all. All Hamas did was kidnap that one soldier, and bombing houses is certainly not going to get him back alive.
-
My mom just got word from my cousin that my dad's neighbor's house was hit by a missile today. My dad's house shook and my young half brother and sister were terrified needless to say. His neighbor got no notice of the bombing beforehand and neither did he. There are no militants in my dad's neighborhood. No one in my dad's neighborhood has ever given the Israelis trouble (and hence they have never been subjected to collective punishment either). Why is Israel bombing them now? They have done nothing wrong. This is further proof that Israel's intention right now is simply to destroy Lebanon and Gaza. I know it.

I was introduced to cottage and sour cream at the same time at about 9 years old here in Canada. I remember me and my brother loved cottage cheese had had cottage cheese sandiwiches half the time, while our older sister fell in love with sour cream. My tastes change as a grow and I really don't care for cottage cheese any more. It's okay I guess, but I don't eat it anymore. My mom uses it mostly for lasagna. But who needs cottage cheese anyway when you got cheddar? :animesmil

Israel is not being disproportionate, it is defending itself from the likes of Hezbollah, who have been intentionally inflaming the situation by kidnapping more soldiers and firing rockets into Israeli cities from the border of Lebanon. Show me, however, that Israel is intentionally targetting civillians rather than terrorists and I will show you a green dog.
A total of 230 Lebanese have been killed so far and only 25 Israelis. I'm not saying that Israel is targetting civilians, though it might be. I'm just saying it is knowingly killing civilians. Its target is Hizbollah, but it knows civilians are in the region and bombs anyway without a single care. They give a "warning" for people to evacuate, but they bomb while people are evacuating and end up killing them. "Oh we tried our best" they think. Its because they don't give a damn about innocent Lebanese people. People are only supporting Israel because they are racist against arabs. The idea that anyone can support Israel after how many innocents it has killed, after how many people it has tortured and punished unfairly, shows just how skewed people morality is. You still think we're all terrorists and we all want to kill you. Grow up and start thinking for yourselves, and stop parroting your power hungry leaders. Israel started this whole thing by jailing innocent people without charge and keeping them for months or a year at a time, and by their consistent lack of respect for the basic human rights of palestinians and other arabs they have hurt. Why do they deserve peace if they don't give us peace and justice? People want peace in the region, but to the Israelis this means that palestinians leave them alone and let them carry on occupying and oppressing our people. They can hurt us, but we're not allowed to hurt them. Anyway, while I hope that no innocent Israelis are hurt, and while I am upset that Hizbollah's actions have brought so much destrution to Lebanon, I hope Hizbollah destroys Israel, gives them a taste of their own medicine. That'll teach Israel once and for all that it is not excused from the the rules of war. That'll teach them to stop collectively punishing our people for the terrorists they themselves have created from their constant oppression of our people. That'll teach them to destroy an entire country for their polical gain. An eye for an eye. They only want Hizbollah out of Lebanon because it was Hizbollah that drove Israel out Lebanon. They want Hizbollah out so they can occupy southern Lebanon again.

Decent people don't win wars, either.
What makes you think so? Are you admitting that Israel is evil then? Decent people can win wars, as long as you have a good strategy. The muslim army was under constant threat from the tribe of Quraish in Muhammad's time. The muslims fought and won against armies larger and far better equipped than them. And although islamic governments and their armies aren't decent nowadays, the muslims in muhammad's time certainly were decent, fair people.
