1. Welcome to the Twisted Metal Tournament. Choose your path, and choose wisely, for every move you make might be your last. This year, I have something special in store for my contestants. Teamwork. I've selected over fourty of the world's best drivers, and they will be working in teams. But be warned of two things. The more people you lose, the less of a chance you have. And, as a new adition to the contest, not all survival will be dependant on how well you drive. There will now be times when you must fight on foot and pursue objectives I assign to you. There's no such thing as pity or mercy within this contest. But, would you expect anything else from my work of art? Things just get better and better, don't they? *sinister laugh* The winners will receive any prize they wish, as is cusomary of the contest. But, taking that prize won't be so easy. I am Calypso, and I thank you for playing, Driver. Good luck. Alright, here's the low down. Pick your car, describe your character, and know that this contest will be one hell of a blast. (no pun intended) This contest will have certain objectives that must be fufilled, and not every time will you just be able to drive up to it and seize/destroy/kill the objective. It does help to be familiar with the games. Also, feel free to use vehicles from the games, though with original characters. Name: Age: Vehicle: Vehicle History/Qualities: Special: Vehicle image: Personality: Backstory: Wish: Chacter quote: Name: Riley Janze Age: 17 Vehicle: Dead Weight Vehicle History/Qualities: Dead Weight was once the Janze family station wagon, until Riley was killed in it. The car itself was bought brand new in the late 80's, and was kept in perfect condition. When Riley was in his accident, the car was sent to a junkyard, where it sat, because everyone who approached it was frightened away, leading to the rumors the junkyard itself was haunted.Dead Weight is unusual in the fact that it moves completely at the will of its driver, the engine completely unnessessary now to move it. Special: Supernatural Demolition- Emmiting an eerie greenish light, Dead Weight's battered engine fires up, activating the car's unholy ability to inflict the amount of damage once inflicted on Dead Weight itself in its deadly accident. At the same time, to be all the more sinister, one of two things play from it's radio. the famous 'One winged Angel' from the Final Fantasy series, or cheesy love songs. To use this ability, Dead Weight must touch another vehicle with the light it emits, while sustaining no damage to itself, or the opponent vehicle must be caught in the light of its headlights, where upon the car is thown about by an unseen force. Vehicle image: Personality: Happy, joyful, and upbeat with a rebellious streak, a typical teenager. Backstory: Riley was an honor student out to make big with a career in graphic design, up until three years ago, when Riley died in a tragic car accident after borrowing the family station wagon to run a few errands. Since, he has haunted the car he died in, manifesting ghostly phenomenon only to frighten people away from the vehicle he died in. Calypso approached him one day, and made a proposal he couldn't refuse. In exchange for winning Calypso's contest, he'd be given what he desired most.... Wish: He wants to be alive again, truely alive, and not just a spirit. His wish is to be given his life back. Chacter Quote: Death is without mercy, don't you think? Mine wasn't nice. And my family? They couldn't see me. I yelled to them, but they couldn't hear me. The looks on their faces when they saw the station wagon was too much to bear. When I win, it will be as if it never happened.
2. Ryan and Lucas showed up, though they never made excuses. Ryan grasped Lucas' sleeve, and Lucas turned to find his brother looking distant, as if looking beyond reality."Lucas... there's something here." Tuning into the vibes he was getting, Lucas sensed it as well. "It's.... not violent, is it?" "No. I don't think so." "So let's not worry about it. Come on." Lucas knew very well what was going on, but dismissed the feeling he had. Walking in, they met with the others, greeted with a smile. "You're later than everyone else." "Sorry, we found a few new books we wanted to check out of the library." Lucas pulled the picture book of the newly taken photographs of the Titanic. The others snorted in derisive laughter, and Matt spoke. "The Titanic again?" Ryan pointed his finger at Matt. "And? You know we're fascinated by it. One of the world's biggest disasters, and yet no one seems to know about the ghost stories surrounding it." Lucas looked over, at a black cat stretching. Instantly, He knew it was no ordinary kitty, but said nothing. Ryan was now looking over to the cat as well, and motioning it to come to him. "Here, kitty kitty kitty..." "Ryan.... something's off about that cat..." Lucas looked on, and the cat eyeballed him. How intuitive. I'm impressed. Lucas snorted. "I see... a possession of sorts. And that cat was what was available?" You're one to talk. The cat began licking its paws and then washing itself, all the while keeping an eye on the twins. Lucas and Ryan only laughed in response. "Anyway, shall we get started?" Lucas asked, sitting down on the floor.
3. Ryan and Lucas were sitting in the library of their college campus, busily studying, though not for their history exams. They knew enough about history already. It just so happened to be one of their specialties. Lucas mindlessly played with his necklace, looking over a book with many pictures of the discovered wreakage of the legendary Titanic. It never ceased to fascinate him to look at these pictures, and the same applied to his brother, Ryan. "Hey, Ryan, look at this. The library got a new book." "Pictures of the hold, huh? Interesting..." Ryan looked over his brother's shoulder, smiling. "Well well well.... A car. Can we read anything from it?" "We sure can. Here." Lucas smiled, and placed his finger on the remains of a liscence plate. "Think.... reconize the numbers?" Squinting at the picture, Ryan spoke."Yes.... where is that in the ship?" "It's in the hold section near the forward hatch. Apparently, it was slammed into the foremost wall when the ship hit the bottom." "William Carter's Renault. If I'm not mistaken, he didn't survive. Think he's guarding the thing? Looks like it's in sad, sad, condition." Ryan smirked, looking at the dilapidated and rusted car, now almost beyond recognition of even being an object. "Sad to be him if he's guarding that hulk of rust." "True... but I can think of how the spirits aboard would view the ship as their grave. I doubt they'd mind visitors, but something tells me bad things would happen if any attempted grave robbing." "You and I both know that's not the case. They're trapped aboard... and angry. But, what you say does have its merits about visitors. Something tells me they would be all to happy to 'invite' grave robbers to join them in the deeps forever..." Ryan looked up at the ceiling. "Lucas, think we'll ever be able to acomplish something? We are on time that's not ours." "And that time you speak of is frozen." he replied. "Let's just figure something out later on."
4. Does anyone know if there's a gunslinger girl video game? Or any older snes games that were awesome? or GBA SP?
5. Well, i have the same questions excel. But, moving on. This Elsa character, I have the Il treatino story. Is that a second part of the anime? I don't remember any Elsa character. But, perhaps I can put my two cents in. My fave character has to be Hennrietta or Angelica.
6. LUCAS AND AYEIKA ARE BACK! The twins made their way around, inspecting, asking, and smiling their way to information they desired. Ayeika did most of the talking, while Lucas went about the same tasks in his own way. They met up again in the local marketplace, and discussed what they had learned of the clergies. Now armed with new information, they headed back, though not to the inn. Knowing the others, at least in part, they were probably still at the art gallery, marveling at the various works and sculptures. They weren't in a hurry, they were loathing the prospect of walking inside. They often stayed away from such places, they didn't need any attention of any kind, especially with the tortured link they bore to the past. But, on coming to performance plaza, they decided to blow off some steam. The twins didn't think far too out in space for them to be hunted now in this age and time if they were discovered to be the Daughter of Evil and her Servant, especially with so many of the details of their past forgotten by society. The twins made their way, talking casually, though nervous. They knew quite well random paintings of them popped up all over the world, and they didn't have a clue why or how they had been pilfered from their castle. At that moment, it began to lightly rain, mirroring their sorrow for their past deeds. There was one other reason they never tried to see paintings of themselves. It was far too much for them, and an all too vivid reminder of who they once were. Redemption is a powerful motivator. They managed to come to the gallery, and each with a deep breath, went inside. Almost immediately, they noted how few people there were, though it was easily possible because of the weather many had left. But, then they came to the painting of themselves. They had been only children, and had no idea the roles they would play in history. Memories bubbled up inside them, both of their eyes watery and on the brink of shedding tears. Not knowing what else to do, they continued on, looking for the others in silence. On noting them, Attakiru moved behind them, noticing their distant demeanors, and their sad expressions. "So, do you two want to tell us who you are?" Hope, Shnorkel, and Louise each surounded the twins, and they didn't make a motion to fight. "Want to explain that painting?" Louise asked, his hand on his sword. Hope looked on at the two of them, her stark white eyes gazing deep into them. "Speak. I wish to know as well." Lucas spoke, bowing, and placing his hand on his chest. "Forgive us, but we are not yet ready to admit who we are." Ayeika bowed her head in shame. "You suspect who we are, and you guess the truth. Lucas, there is no point in hiding who we are, that painting is proof enough." Looking on at the people around her, she sighed. "Come, let us turn in for the night at an inn, and we will reveal everything you want to know. We won't try to escape. However, will knowing who we are change anything?" Okay, this video is their performance. Yes, they are singing about themselves.
7. If we go now, we might die. Besides, taking it easy to learn about our enemy sounds like a good idea to me.
8. sweet..... we need a backstage thread. and.... AWWWW KITTY!
9. Rayne hurried to his next class, and on finding it, knocked cautiously. The teacher turned to look at him, and Rayne smiled nervously. "Yes... I'm sorry I'm late... I'm Rayne Dalma." "Ah, the new student. Yes, this is your forst day here, it's quite alright." The man stood in front a dry erase board, and beckoned him into the room. "Class, this is our new student. Rayne... Take the empty seat next to Oliver. Oliver, raise your hand please." Rayne looked into the class room, and a very groggy boy peered back at him with his hand raised. Taking his seat, Rayne smiled at the boy, a silent 'thank you.' However, Rayne... sensed something. He wasn't sure what he felt coming from the boy, so he simply sat back in his chair and tried to figure it out. Absently, he fiddled with the studded colar around his neck, trying to make sense of the strange aura of the boy. He just decided to snooze, and Rayne sensed his mind was active, he was far from it. His attantion was definitely focused on Rayn, especially with the random, furtive glances. Rayne didn't know who this boy was, though he definitely wasn't completely human. Rayne shrugged, and tuned out the teacher, spacing out to try to figure out what had happened to Syria. He didn't like this. Not at all....
10. After passing through the brush, a warm wind began to blow, at Lucas' desires as storm clouds clouds began to form overhead, although a bit more slowly than Lucas had sommoned days before. This time, there was no problem. Lucas' powers were in fulll swing, and he did as he so desired with the weather. Ayeika looked troubled, and the two fell back behind the rest of the journeyers. "Reminded of something?" Lucas asked quietly. "Yes... I've been here before. There's quite a bit to see..." "Including us?" Ayeika sighed. "I don't know, I've never been to the gallery. I.. really didn't want to in case we are something to see there. Seeing you... would have been too much when you weren't with me." Lucas' gloved hand moved to his throat, and he traced the thin scar hidden beneath his colar. As the city of Barceilies drew closer, they all could see the city watch was in full swing, though right now they were too far away to be spotted. "Think we'll be able to get in?" Hope asked, curious. "I really don't want to have to fight." Nodding, Lucas smiled. "Allow Ayeika to handle that for us." Ayeika smiled, distracted from her thoughts. "Sweet talking, eh? Child's play." "Sister, don't be so modest." Lucas smiled.Looking over to Hope, he eyed her, pondering if her eyes would attract attention. "Ayeika, do we have have some kind of cloak for Hope?" Bowing to Hope, Lucas apologized. "I'm sorry, but I'm afraid the white eyes might give us away." "White eyes? What are you talking about?" "You'll see tonight in a mirror. Now, Ayeika, how about that cloak?" Ayeika shrugged. "Sorry, Lucas. I don't. Maybe we can come up with another plan? Cast Fly on us... then Invisibility." Thinking for a second, Lucas nodded his head. Speaking some mysterious words which only Ayeika understood, one by one the journeyers each began to feel light, and summoning his strengths, Lucas levitated up, casting his spells on the others. "Let's meet up just on the other side of the gates. I will disperse with the magics there." The others agreed, and they all floated over to the other sides of the gate, where Lucdas kept his word once no one was looking. Ayeika sided with him, and they smiled. "So, where to, now?" Hope paused to think."Well, we can go talk to the local clergies, or we can go to the art gallery. I'll leave it to you to decide." Lucas and Ayeika shot each other a glance, and Ayeika spoke. "We'll handle the clergies. We'll meet up with you guys at that inn later tonight." she pointed to an inn, the Starbound Inn and Tavern, and with that, they were off. --------------------------------------------------------------- Lucas and Ayeika walked the streets, passing the local market. Booth after booth of wonderful goods greeted them almost ever step as they asked around about what clergies were in Barceilies. To their surprise, they found five. Barceilies, after all, was a huge city, bustleing with all kinds of people. The underground faiths mostly comprised of Oldimara, though there were rumors the twins heard of far darker faiths lurking in the shadows. The faiths they did find out for sure were in the city consisted of a large temple to Pelos, god of the sun and justice, Evening Glory, a goddess of love and respecting the memory of the dead through love, Baccob, one of the gods of magic, and Kord, the patron god of athletes. All in all, an interesting match up. Taking a break after asking around, the two headed to an outdoor restaurant, and ordered several seafood specials, as Barceilies was also a port town. Trying the food, the twins chattered excitedly, not having had such seafood in years. Of course, for them, it was merely a few months, not the span of centuries since Ayeika's rule of the nation of Lossouls. They laughed and made merry, seemingly without a care in the world. However, they were also trying not to think about what the others were seeing at the gallery or what they were doing. They both could only hope there were no paintings of them....
11. I think I'll play..... as twins. Name: Ryan and Lucas Marionette Age: 23 Gender: Male Appearance: They stand in at 6'0" 155 lbs, lean builds, ash blonde hair, and emerald green eyes. They look aristocratic, with their defined features. Lucas tends to wear more elaborate and gothic clothing, while Ryan wears more punky clothing. Talents: These two are by far quite the experts on the supernatural. They have studied extensively on the subject, and few know more than they. They are also quite the historians, specializing on the paranormal activities pertaining to the legendary Titanic. They're also good at forging false documents, and have all the equipment they could ever need to do so. However, they are able to sense and see many paranormal beings and occurences that others cannot. Background: Not much is known about these two, though they seem to be quite well off when it comes to money. They're both geniuses, and have proven it time and time again. Lucas is quite the talented singer, and Ryan is the skater. Personalities: Lucas is the more laid back of the two, though not by much. Ryan is the wild-fire punk. However, both are extremely intelligent, despite the antics of the two of them. They're both class clowns, and love making people laugh. Yet, as freindly as they are, they never reveal much about themselves. Equipment: Blackberry cell phones are their preferred items of choice. They are also never seen without their necklaces, twin golden chains conected to deep purple amethysts inscribed with arcane runes. Nothing is known about the powers these necklaces contain.
12. Lucas did indeed note he was being watched. However, when he turned away, he could still feel the close and watchful eyes of Attakiru. Lucas had been unable to completely hide his surprise on seeing that same blade from long ago... he himself having warded off the general wielding that very weapon to stave off the seizure of his beloved sister. However, even his magical powers had limits, and soon enough they were able to march upon the Castle Iycewinde, past his weather, and through his storm around the castle. "Tell me," Lucas said, turning around, and smiling. "Where in Severis did you get such a sword? And learn to fight like that?? Ayeika looked up as Lucas spoke, turning her head to see what he was talking about. The intricately carved blade was beautiful, and she listened in on the conversation at hand. "It's been handed down through my clan, as well as the fighting style.? Attakiru responded. ?Only the most talented warriors are permitted to wield it.? "Yes... I would think so. It's been some time since it's surfaced, the last wielder that I know of was Kokinshu of Akonyu. I never thought I would ever see it. Of course, my knowledge of history is spotty at best.? Lucas lied convincingly, mingling truth and fiction, though Attakiru wasn't completely buying Lucas' story. And for good reason. The man now peered at Lucas intently. "How do you know of it and Kokinshu? No one even knows of the existence of this blade outside of my clan.? Lucas turned back around, to face the gaze of his sister, hiding his surprise from the man. He struggled for a means of which to reply without revealing more than he should. "Supposedly, that sword you wield was used long ago, when the Iycewinde Kingdom fell. A general, Kokinshu, the man who wielded that sword, was hired by one of the rival nations to lead one of their armies. Needless to say, the Kingdom did indeed fall, but only after a long and difficult war. The Princess was then cornered within her own castle and later executed by means of the guillotine. Nowadays, the only memories of the kingdom are in bardic songs or stories handed down through the generations in clans presumably like yours... I believe you might be the fist person we've ever met who knew anything at all about the nation of Lossouls other than us two.? Lucas was evasive, not answering the exact question, but more or less giving a round about answer involving true facts about their own history, yet not revealing much more than facts Attakiru would have known himself about his ancestor and events in that particular time period. The twins were not yet ready to reveal who they were, and they did not wish any ill gains upon this man, descendant of a man who had once tried to bring down a great evil. An evil which happened to be Ayeika and Lucas. They knew too well they had paid the price for their crimes, and were not done paying it just yet. Redemption is a powerful motivator, and they could not easily rest until they had found the means to bring back their people and restore their nation to its rightful glory. Shnorkel was jittering about, antsy about leaving. He was talking excitedly with the Lady Hope while the twins and Attakiru spoke. He kept looking over to them, peering at them curiously. "And how have you learned of the Daughter of Evil and her nation?? ?Ah, so you are familiar with the songs as well.? Ayeika stood, smiling. However, her smile seemed sad, and the twins grasped each other's hands."We hail from the northern lands nearby the eternal frozen wastes..." Ayeika replied. "And we are quite familiar with the history of those events. It's really not hard to learn about them, though that does depend on where you go." She shrugged, and the two of them let go of each other. Attakiru stared them down, failed, and remarked, "I believe you're telling me the truth, though you two aren't telling me everything.? Attakiru looked on at them intensely, it was obvious they shared a far deeper connection to the bardic songs than they let on or admitted. ?Of course, everyone has their secrets. However, do not think you have gotten off so easily. I will be inquiring about it more later." He stopped, as Hope by now had come over to them, her gaze fiercely set into an expression of anger. "Shnorkel has been kind enough to offer to guide us to the nearby City of Barceiles, where we might yet hope to find out more of my father. Come, we might yet know of a means to be able to destroy him. There is much of my father I do not yet know." Hope paused, deep in thought. "There is also a quite famous art gallery within the city. I have heard they have paintings dating back hundreds of years. Hope peered at Attakiru. "I will need to procure a sword, and lessons for such. Will you be able to help me?" Attakiru bowed. "Of course." He shot another glance to the twins, who were now looking to one another. They seemed to be communicating, though through a means of which Attakiru did not understand or know of. It was obvious they shared a much deeper connection than just being identical, at least physically. All of them had noted the twin's abilities were quite different. But, something about the mention of the paintings bothered them. Kinenda spoke now. "Hope, do you know what your powers are? If you like, I can try to help you with them, and learn the ways of magic." Hope raised her hand. "I thank you, though my powers.... I do not yet understand how or why they came into being. Mere hours ago, I believed I was but a human woman. I had never used such abilities, or even possibly thought I had any. I believe I would like to try to discover them for myself. My apologies, Kinenda." ?No worries. But, should you change your mind, I'll be more than happy to assist you.? Hope nodded, and Shnorkel began to lead the way....
13. Charging, Dizzy ran full force at the Zern, if only to be suddenly met with a blow to her side. She rocketed into the adjacent wall. "My turn." Saio growled. He leapt up into the air, smashing down onto the Zerg, after having used the opportunity of Dizzy's being knocked to the side. The Zerg grasped Saio's ankle, and swung him down into a table. Kicking out with his foot, Saio felt the grip on him loosen, and he rolled away, if only to roll back onto his feet and at launch himself at the Zerg. They managed to grasp each other, they trying to force each other back. With a growl, Saio thrust the Zerg's arms downward, and brought his knee up to the Zerg's chin. The Zerg let go of him, and Saio whirled to deliver another kick to the side of it's head. It fell to the left, and Saio managed to dig his claws into it's chest before it fell, pinning it against the wall. "Saio, I think it's too late for the poor bastard. We failed to bring it in alive." "No matter." Saio remarked, removing the Zerg's heart in one fell motion. It glared at him as it coughed up massive amounts of blood, and it slumped to the floor. Looking at the heart in his hand, he sniffed it, and tossed it away, reverting to his usual self. "Man, this thing reeks!"
14. Welcome back, HyattHyatt. I beleive it's time to cause some chaos.
15. Saio drummed his black nails now again on his desk at the base, irritated. He'd just spent several hours at the hospital, only to be released in perfect condition. Looking around, (and having been extremely careful about entering his room) he saw nothing interesting to occupy himself with. Boy watching kind of lost its appeal, especially after earlier. A knock came to his door, and Saio looked over. "Come in! Door's open." A rather plain woman opened the door, and bowed her head. "Miss Cross?" Smiling slightly, he answered. "Yes, this is MISTER Cross." "Oh! I'm so sorry!" She began fretting, and Saio raised his hand to calm her. "It's quite alright, no worries. Now, what was it you needed?" He leaned foreward, his hand supporting his head. "The helicopter with Major Katrina Rogers is about to arrive, ETA five minutes. The General wishes you to meet with her." "I see. Thank you. You may go now." "Yes, sir." Standing, he walked to the door as the woman walked away. He sniffed the air, but she smelled human. Heading torwards the helipad, he smiled. This at least, would occupy his time for just a little bit longer. And who knows? Maybe they'd have some jointed attacks on a Zerg. Saio was quite curious as to see how this robo-woman fought, as well as what she even looked like. He arrived at the helipad, and spotted the chopper heading torwards him. The wind was blowing, but he couldn't make out any distinctive scents. A slight bit of a vulnerable area right now, especially with the wind blowing. As the chopper lowered down, Saio lifted his hand to sheild his eyes from the sun to peer at the people inside. To his sensitive ears, though, the sound of the chopper blades through the air were unbearable up close, so he was quite a distance away. However, Saio was quite surprised when a rather pretty woman in a military uniform jumped down from the helicopter before it flew off. She was rather top heavy, and of course her body was simply stunning. "Wow... Talk about well manufactured." Saio said, when she had gotten close enough for her to hear him. He lifted his hand to shake hers, and she smiled. "Of course. The Military does have it's perks. I'm Katrina Rogers, but you can call me Dizzy." "Saio Cross. Pleasure to meet you. Shall we get going? We have alot to talk about."
16. Paramedics were already rushing to the scene, and Saio, now at ground level, couldn't see the Zerg he had spotted from before. Sighing, he knew he'd see the man again, especially now that his bomb had failed. However, Saio would have to be much more careful, especially since he knew that the Zerg he had spotted might not be the only one here. Hunting had just gotten more interesting. The scents coming to Saio were intermixed and too difficult to pick out, especially with the fire overhead. Allowing the paramedics to approach him, he ventured so far as to guess that the Zerg was still around, he wanted to watch his handiwork. Saio was hauled bodily into an ambulance, and taken to the Hospital on the base. "Mr. Cross?" one of the paramedics gingerly approached him with a radio comunicator. "The General." Taking the communicator, Saio spoke into it. "You know, Austin, this job is a real pain in my ass. Litterally. I think I got schrapnel in it." "Cut the pleasantries, Saio. Who did it? Was it the Zerg?" "I wasn't close enough to see any kind of nametag. We're going to have to be very careful. But, yes, I'm sure it was one of the Zerg. It looks like I'm the target. He looked at me when he detonated the bomb." "Did you get a chance to see it?" "No. I caught a whiff it though before it went off. There was sulfur used in it. Not something hard to come by nowadays, is it Or at least something that smells like it?" There was silence on the other end for a moment. "Saio... why would the Zerg be targeting you?" "Because they've heard about me. Because I've really pissed them off. They probably know I was a double agent right now, especially with the leak we had a problem with..." "I don't like to think of that. It was handled though." "I know. But not well enough. There's more of them here. I think... the older ones might be using the children of their species as bait." Saio's stomach turned, disgusted with the thought. "Saio, there's no proof of that. You're making a wild guess." "Austin, three of the attacks made on bases recently involved very young, almost infantile Zerg. However, we're not rooting out the most well hidden ones. This could all be a distraction from something much bigger that they're planning." "I understand, Saio. I will get three more men assigned to this case. Perhaps, ordering Major Rogers here would be a blessing." "If you can get her here. It would be interesting to meet her, though. I've seen prosthetic limbs, before, but never entire bodies." "She's a unique one, that's for sure. I beleive you'll find her nickname most endearing." "Which is?" The General laughed. "Dizzy."
17. Saio now sat before a computer console, looking at various data. To him, it was the epiphany of being bored. Stretching, he sat up and looked at his empty cup of coffee. Sighing, he got up and walked the short distance to the nearby coffee station. Looking out across the flat grounds throught large floor to ceiling windows, he surveyed the recreational ares of choice, especially since the weather was nice. he wasn't disappointed. There was a group of boys playing soccer. Taking a sip of his fresh coffee, he smiled. "Mmmn.... too bad any of them could be a Zerg... But, I guess we'll find out soon enough." Looking at the clock, he snorted. Already, the morning time hours had ticked away. But, time seemed to move differently for Saio, and at a much slower pace. Physically, at least. Power, after all, did come with a price. Bored, Saio parted over to another screen, to look at his own files. They came to him with ease, and he snorted. They'd only been able to keep track of him if he had left a signature. And he liked leaving a signature. Of course, horrenduous marks on dead bodies didn't exactly exhonorate himself. It was now widely known who he was, and his reputation preceded him. Nowadays, the only things about him that confused people were where he had come from exactly, and what gender he was. A very animalistic quality about him. Saio often enough saw no point in hiding himself, he liked being seen. His exotic appeal was a part of his charm, and he used it whenever possible. He thought for a moment, still watching the boys play. And began to search them, looking for any signs of what they might be. "A strong jawline here, big muscles over there..." He shrugged. "Why can't they be like me?" He observed them for a few more moments, and smiled. "Ah... we have a winner." Saio had begun to pay attention to more than one of the players, constantly shifting his eyes to keep track of them all. One began to stand out. He was muscular, though still held a demeanor loud and proud. His slight slouch indicated something else though...a rather young Zerg. Saio had never participated in the last war, though he was well aware of how Zerg looked and acted, especially ones trying to be sneaky. Saio was, after all, a born hunter of evil things. Closing his eyes, he began sniffing the air. He could smell all kinds of things, and not just the several coming from the coffee he was drinking. Disinfectant, furniture polish... wood... water... sulfur.... Saio's eyes opened. Sulfur? Why was there sulfur here? Saio knew well the layout of the compound, and there was no chemical weapons department. Looking out into the crowd, he spotted one of the boys looking at him, the same one he'd spotted earlier, and the one he suspected was a Zerg. Far too late, Saio realized what was going on. Throwing down his cup of coffee, Saio grasped a rather large chair and held it up in front of him -his back to the window- as the bomb blew. The chair lifted up, rocketing out of the large glass windows, and taking Saio with it. The chair whirled around, and Saio lept from it before it smashed into the ground. Removing a single tube of seemingly harmless lipstick from his kimono sleeve, Saio trailed it down the side of the building, it's walls made of a smooth, flawless marbled white rock. Lifting the lipstick from the wall, he jerked to a stop, and twisted his body to land feet first on the surface of the wall. However, he was now dangling from a partially released whip of some kind, some of it still clinging to the wall. Doing as he wished, the lipstick disolved instantly, releasing him to fall a much safer distance. On hitting the ground, he turned to look above him, and saw the raging fire and smoke billowing from the room he'd been in. "My, that was close...."
18. Rayne had indeed been waiting. However, with their time constraints at the moment, it had to be short and sweet. "We will know when the time comes, Tahlia." Rayne looked off into the coming storm. "Tahlia, do you think you can handle our missions?" Tahlia grew silent. "Of course. I am not about to be demolished by someone whom I can't remember. I don't even know what's going on." Rayne nodded. "Assume they will pull something. Try to play with them as well. These little games we'll be playing won't seem like much, but in truth will be more like a chess match between two very skilled players. Don't drop your guard. And don't let them know of your... emotional attachments." Rayne looked deep into Tahlia's eyes, his shifting to a deep red. "There will be no mercy for those whom display they have love for another." Closing his eyes, he sighed. "We better get to class. Part of the game, you know." Rayne shot a glance deliberately to his right, and pointed enough for Tahlia to get the hint. They turned around, and went inside. --------------------------------------- "Ooooooh, a little meeting. I guess he's the leader after all." Martie spoke, and smiled. The dark haired beauty identical to Tahlia nodded. "Too bad, he's kind of cute. Those glasses work quite well on him..." "Now now, Dola. You aren't at all concerned with her?" She made a guesture to the other girl. "Tahlia, I beleive." "Why should I? She's sided with them. Though, we can play a new game with them." Dola smiled. "We are siblings, of a sort." "You know what you are, because you remembered. Has she?" Martie questioned. She sounds off handish, like this didn't really matter to her. However, every word was poised. Turning her face to Dola, she smiled, and flicked her forked tongue at Dola. "See to it that you keep it that way. Let's play your game for awhile. It seems like fun." After looking over to Rayne and Tahlia, she giggled. "Oops. They've spotted us." The two leaped off of the building, and down to the ground, heading inside.
19. Saio walked down the hallway, leisurely observing the various young men as the worked on their vehicles on the other side of the glass. Many of them looked up, to see him, and looks of arousal and confusion spread across their faces. Saio's demeanor did not change, though he did wave at the cutest of them. He blushed and quickly went back to work. Smiling slightly, Saio continued down the hall to his destination. His cellular phone rang, and he reached into his kimono sleeve to retrieve it. "Hello? Saio Speaking." "Saio, there's been another attack from the Zerg." Saio's brow twitched. "Really now? How many casualties, Lieutenant Bellfast?" "None, thanks to Major Rogers." "Isn't that the military woman with the completely prosthetic body?" "One and the same. The base she was stationed at took little damage when the Zerg revealed itself, thanks to her. How's your mission coming along?" "Hmph." Saio snorted. "Other than some eye candy, there's nothing really about this so called mission. It's boring. Why do I have to sniff out the Zerg? I feel like I'm a bloodhound or something..." "Yes, we all know you much rather prefer to play coy kitty." There was a breif silence on the phone. Sio spoke. "I am aware of how important this is. It's just-" "Saio? What's wrong? Are you there?" Distant crashing noises could be heard, followed by loud explosions. "I'll call you back. There's some interesting happenings." Saio disconnected the call, and looked around, placing the phone back into his kimono sleeve. He could now hear alert sirens going off, and he sighed. "This better be worth my while..." Stalking torwards the clanging and booming, Saio opened two large doors leading outside. On arriving, he spotted the cause of the commotion, and sighed. It had been nothing more than a technological mishap. A plane had colapsed over onto a propane tank. Groaning, he turned to go back inside.
20. Well, I will have my first post up momentarily. I just need to figure out something to post.... writer's block sucks. Edit: Alrighty... writer's block over. Thanks for the idea, Celsi.
21. Lucas and Ayeika moved through the crowd, just in time to spot Kinenda. If the twins were sure to arouse suspicion, she would become guilty by association. Lucas moved torwards her, as did his sister. They spotted the young man, and saw him flee with the young noblewoman. Now, they just had to get this warrior out of harms way, as well as Kinenda. Lucas motioned for Ayeika to handle Kinenda, and Lucas would help the warrior. Lucas brought his hand to the sky, and a large lightning bolt slammed down into the ground, releasing both a deafening roar and a blinding light. The smoking timbers of the fire scattered on impact, and Lucas ran up to the warrior, who was looking dazed, though in much better shape than the other villiagers. Grasping his arm, Lucas spoke. "Come! We have the girl safe! Come with me, hurry!" Lucas's blonde ponytail bobbed in a sudden wind that stirred, whipping around the debris of the fire, and causing general mayhem and havoc in the crowd. "Quickly!" Lucas pulled the man away from it all, headed upwards through the means of his fly spell still in effect. Concentrating both on not letting the man go, as well as heading to his sister, Lucas managed to cast one more spelll, allowing the man to fly along with him. Ayeika had already picked up Kinenda, and she was flying with her, and so the boys had to catch up to them rather quickly. As such, they all flew torwards a lone boy almost half a mile outside of town, coupled with the girl, who was now unconcious. When they landed, the boy drew his sword. "I will not hand her over!" Ayeika stepped forward, her voice as loud and intimidating as any general. "Lay down your weapon, boy! We do not come here to take her back." Ayeika walked foreward, unafraid. She spoke the truth, and Lucas held back, his spell casting exhausted for the day. "Please, we mean you no harm." Ayeika continued, her hands in the air, revealing nothing within them. "Who are you? Answer me!" The boy was obviously protecting the girl, though foolishly. Lucas stepped foreward, and bowed. "I am Lucas, humbly at your service. I beleive I have just enough magic left within me to at least heal the burns on the Lady Hope's body. If you might allow me, I would like to do so." Lucas walked forward, and th boy pointed at the closest other person. "And you?" "Ayeika. As you can see, we are twins. We wish to help the poor girl. Obviously, there has been some kind of misunderstanding. If you like, we can tell what we had heard from the villiagers. We have no reason to lie. I beleive you went through our illusion, and it was the man over there who aided you in getting the Lady out." She jerked her thumb over to the man behind them, and the boy lowered his weapon, though was still ready to attack with it at a moment's notice. "Please, heal her. She doesn't deserve treatment like this..." "No, she doesn't. She's innocent of all of this..." Ayeika's eyes grew misty, thinking of her own life so very long ago. "Lucas... help her." "Of course." Stepping to Hope, he removed a potion from his own pocket, and began to pour it onto her burnt flesh. Instantly, it began to rejeuvanate, forming again into beautiful, flawless skin. The liquid did its job, and soon Hope's burns were but a nasty memory. However, all that had been done was cure her burns, she was still mentally and physically exhausted. Kinenda sighed. "We should find some cover, away from the roads." "My storm should delay them somewhat, if you haven't noticed, it's pouring." Lucas smiled. Kinenda blinked. "Your storm? You caused it?" Lucas nodded. "Think of the weather as my plaything. My powers and magic came about differently than my sister's, though she is quite talented in the ways of her own brand of magic." Ayeika nodded, continuing on for her brother. "I happen to be a spellcaster juristicted only by my passions and music." She smiled. "and I'm pretty good at words and influencing people." They looked to the others, waiting for them to introduce themselves.
