Yea I'm truly impressed, the boards have been running a lot faster lately. To address a few points: 1) The boards are 99% out of space so this move is necessary either way:). 2) To Safer: I can only hope. It'd be cool if OtakuBoards just started popping up on people's computers without them having to do anything. 3) Project Picasso will probably come out this month. It's my most ambitious project ever! -Ad

I am pleased to announce that I am in the process of ordering a new server to house these lovely message boards. The new server will have double the space (from 400 megs to 800) and is the fastest, most optimized solution I could find. Speed and reliability will be a problem of the past:). So what's happening with the current server that OtakuBoards is on? Glad you asked! I'm not scrapping it just yet (well, I'd save a lot of money if I did...) It will be divided among two separate tasks: 1) O3Online hostees will be moved to it providing a separate server from theOtaku.com that will invariably result in 100000000000000000000000x faster performance. 2) Project Picasso:). Hee, hee, hee... Best, -Adam

This is an economic perspective. Legalizing it and taxing it heavily would work very well. The argument that people on the streets wouldn't make this work is invalid. Do people on the streets sell home-made cigarettes? Of course not, because no one wants to buy home-made things over commercial, brand-named ones - for quality reasons. Plus, the return for cigarettes, if people sold them on the streets, would be far less than the return for illegal drugs that can't be bought anywhere else. Legalizing any drug will lead to the end of the black market for that drug because most are very cheap to produce. The downside of course is that legalization of drugs leads to more people becoming addicted to it which isn't right. -Adam

I'm going to be unpopular for this but I don't think that Lord of the Rings should have won. During the movie I kept shifting back and forth in my seat, it was way too long and not only that, it was really repetitive as well. Group meets big monster; group kills big monster; group goes on. Yes, it was a good adaptation of the books, but that does not warrant a great, best picture movie. Not to say that Beautiful Mind was that wonderful a movie either, I only saw half of it and it seemed to go majorly down hill after the first half hour or so. Mulholland Drive definitely deserved best movie I think, it was really original, funny, dramatic, suspenseful, it had everything. -Ad

Money isn't important but having no money is definitely a problem. But really what do you do if you have like a billion dollars? You buy stuff and then you have it and have to maintain it and it loses its thrill. Saving up for something and anticipating something is a lot more fun than owning it. One's life only really has one true form of wealth and that's time. If someone with a lot of money has to spend all his time maintaining and making that money then can one say that person is richer than a well-off person who has lots of free time to enjoy things in life? Aida was really good, my type of broadway play (fight scenes instead of dancing and good music). -Adam

To see the first round of my grand bout with BirdStudio(c) go to http://theotaku.com/askotaku/issue6.shtml. Now read on to read about round two! Dear Otaku "Owner", Alright fine now we know that you know nothing about Dragon Ball. We Bird Studio© are the original creators of Dragon Ball and other animes and for the copyright,it is supposed to be copyright not (tm). My boss has told me about you Americans, in America the designers of Dragon Ball are FUNimation Studio and they are very different from the episodes and series we have origianly created. And we will call America if we need for the authorities and yes there are autorities that will take care of this matter. For one there is no disclaimer on your site for Dragon Ball and you can get arrested for that. You have no real proof of your pictures of who they are. And if you want we will call as soon as we can to either get your site deleted or you arrested. That was the email I received yesterday, and here was my response: Dear Otaku "Owner", My name is Adam. Alright fine now we know that you know nothing about Dragon Ball. Alright isn't a word. You mean 'all right'. Who says I personally need to know anything about anything? All my site's content has been written by the fans. We Bird Studio© are the original creators of Dragon Ball and other animes and for the copyright,it is supposed to be copyright not (tm). What's your name? In a business/legal letter of this nature you usually sign it personally with your phone number, fax number, etc. Also your email is on yahoo.com. My boss has told me about you Americans, in America the designers of Dragon Ball are FUNimation Studio and they are very different from the episodes and series we have origianly created. What does this have to do with anything?? And we will call America if we need for the authorities and yes there are autorities that will take care of this matter. Believe me, no one will care but you. For one there is no disclaimer on your site for Dragon Ball and you can get arrested for that. I'll post a disclaimer when an official representative of Funimation emails me with an official address with all his personal information so that I can contact him and confirm. I will not do ANYTHING for you. If you can call America then you can do this. You have no real proof of your pictures of who they are. I have no idea what you just said there. Besides, you have no proof of who you are either, I think you're a 12-year old just banging on his keyboard. And if you want we will call as soon as we can to either get your site deleted or you arrested. In America our jails are so filled with rapists and drug dealers that there's no room for website owners who don't do anything wrong. Maybe in Japan you can arrest people for no reason but here the rules are different. -Adam PS - You=suck

I fancy my feet as among the most beautiful ever created. Beauty however does not come without price, these feet have always been flat. Flat feet isn't so bad mind you but recently they've started hurting every step I take. I wanted to start up jogging but now it looks like that's not even possible. Maybe I should see a doctor. Woe to me and my flat, beautiful feet! -Ad

That was a wicked good game (I watched Fear Factor though and only caught it at the very end). The Playmate fear factor was a HUGE disappointment though. -Adam

Why did you need to fight in the first place? Did you get into an argument and if so if the person didn't agree with you why press him on until fighting was even necessary? -Adam Gandhi

I like Dante's depiction of suicide in his The Divine Comedy. In it, suicides are symbolically turned into trees that can only speak when they are hurt and bleeding. This is symbolic of suicides because when you kill yourself, you're expressing yourself only through your own blood. If you're upset with something, there are much better ways to express your dissatisfaction with that thing than through your own self mutilation. -Adam

Take advantage of the fact that you're in a new environment, be the person you'd like to be (but don't change your personality). Start things off in a fresh way. -Adam Im Not Insane:worried:
